The fact it is a budget hotel at an excellent location in the heart of London, doesn't mean the facility should be kept in such poor condition. What is the problem to keep it in good conditions and to do basic maintenance every once in a while? Further continental breakfast is a joke, it would be better to spend the money somewhere else. If you can try to skip this location

We had a five night stay here last week. It was very hot in London and the rooms in the hotel had no air conditioning, so temperatures were around 25 degrees all day and all night. Bed very small and wobbly. Reception staff not really friendly, no smile and seemed overwhelmed. Therefor the maids were nice and hardworking, rooms were always tidy and cleaned very properly. And once they asked if we were satisfied with the cleaning. Breakfast was really sufficient and tasty. The hotel is also very well located, centrally located, many sights within walking distance and public transport very close.
Hotel seems older, stairwell in need of renovation. By and large enough for a few days, but the room temperature needs urgent work.

Disgustingly rude reception staff.

Disgustingly rude reception staff.
They made a double booking on one room and were asking us to pay double, and would not acknowledge they were wrong. Extremely unwelcoming and rude.
All other staff were delightful, rooms were just ok.
Wouldn't recommend

Great hotel 3 minute walk from Lambeth North tube station or 10 minute walk from Waterloo tube. The hotel is a 10 minute strole to the London eye and Westminster Bridge where of course you'll fine Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. The Imperial war museum is a stones throw away. The hotel itself has practical clean rooms with an ironing room on each floor.Free safe disposit boxes are found in the reception area.I stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfast was the usual drinks, cereal, croissants, toast and fruit, not bad at all. The restaurant is modest but the food is very good and have to say not expensive. I would highly recommend this hotel for an inexpensive break in a great location and friendly welcome.

Location, service, breakfast and room meet expectations. Bathroom very neat. Free maps and info about London at the lobby are handy. However, an air conditioner and a fridge are missing in warm weather.

Central location is an absolute plus.
Otherwise small rooms and a bit old.
We had to e.g. Get a new room card 4 times because the access control was defective.

The value for money is quite good, with simple rooms but equipped with essentials, comfortable beds and good service. The breakfast is quite copious and varied although most of the days we had breakfast outside to take advantage of something more the days.
The location is ideal if you are looking for a quiet place, not in the same center but perfectly communicated, metro 5 minutes, bus at the door of the hotel and walking 15-20 minutes from the Westminster Bridge, Big Ben and Houses of Parliament.
They also have luggage storage service (1 pound per suitcase)

Good spot for the price. Its got a clean bed, nice shower, complementary coffee, and a 2 minute walk from lambeth tube station. Great for a city getaway for a couple nights. The breakfast was not good and the walls are thin keeping it from a 5 star.

Have stayed here several times over the last 4 years. Reasonable price for London, rooms small but clean, good bathroom, TV tea & coffee making facilities in each room, only drawback is no Air conditioning so rooms can be very hot in summer, a fan is provided and you can partly open a window, though traffic noise can be a problem. Five mins walk from Lambsth North Tube, 20 mins walk from Waterloo Station. 344 bus passes outside. Opposite Imperial War museum. Always had good service, breakfast NOT included in price but can be purchased.

Overall the hotel is interesting, it is affordable and well located.

We still had some inconvenience that ruined our stay.

Upon arrival we found two places close to the hotel. In order to be sure of not receiving a penalty we asked at the reception if the places were free. We were then told that we should not park there and we indicated the parking at the price of 30 pounds per vehicle. We had made contact before our departure with the hotel which indicated us 20 books ... On our return we then informed us about the places which we had found and it turns out that in the days of our stay we could stay park at night, and save 40 pounds in all.

Then we had to make several trips back to the floors because the rooms did not correspond to our request. Also the only person who spoke French about the hotel was on vacation and the receptionists did not facilitate the task. In order to continue to go back we had several problems with the room badge.

To continue we were woken up at 08:30 by the maid who was vacuuming the rooms and knocking on the walls.
Household not always very well done as we found a panties on the floor of one of the rooms.

On our return I sent an email explaining all our problems and I had a response of filled of bad faith which found answer to all our problems.

My accommodation for a night in London. Great staff that has even put my bike in a safe place. Room good & clean, Wifi as good as not available. But for this price you can not expect more in the center of London. All in all, good.

Good location.

Good location.
7 minutes from Waterloo Station
On the way to the station, small street vendors open every Saturday.
Parking costs 30 pounds a day, but it is convenient and a good place.

Colleague and I checked in, first receptionist a bit off-hand saying she she couldn't find colleague's details as he 'hadn't pronounced he surname properly'! Seriously? The other receptionist was charming and very helpful. The lift was shabby, my room (which was supposed to be a double) was a twin. Room was basic, but clean. Breakfast was nothing to write home about - had I dropped one of the fried eggs, I reckon it would still be bouncing! Not a place I'd stay through choice (booked for business travel), but for one night, I could put up with it.

Nice large rooms, lovely bathroom. Friendly staff and in the centre of London. Has its own car park but it's at 20 quid a night. TV, Fan, spare bedding, hair dryer, tea/coffee in the rooms. Laundry service available and an ironing room on one of the floors. Traffic a little noisy, but hey we are in the middle of London and lift is a little squidgy and clanky, not the best if you don't like confined spaces. Has a bar and restaurant or you can place snack orders at the bar to take back to your room. Overall not a bad stay!

Nice hotel, short distance to the next subway station. The rooms were always clean, if a little dark. Nice spacious bathroom. The staff was friendly.
There is only deduction for breakfast, which was very one-sided. There were only two types of packaged cheese, toast, sweet pastries, two types of packaged muesli and grapefruit salad, no sausage. And really every day without changing.

This hotel in London is a nice place to stay. The rooms are not so big, the beds are not next to each other but it's very clean and definitely very polite employees to help you have a pleasant stay here. In the night it's very quiet.

Stayed at that hotel for 2nd time and still have no problem. The bathroom has been refurbished since the last time I was here, and it looks great. The wi-fi was perfect!! Staff are very friendly. The bed was comfy, coffee and tea facilities was there. Also it's very close to tube, costa, and supermarkets. Have no complain whatsoever, I'd definitely stay there again

Great location, you can reach the center on foot or by metro which is 2 minutes from the hotel. The rooms are very small, but clean. I don't recommend breakfast, it didn't satisfy me. The staff is helpful and courteous. I recommend it because it is a budget hotel and in a good location.

Like many of the previous guests, I agree that this hotel was generally a positive experience. The room and bathroom were clean but a little too small. Would recommend this hotel for you who use the hotel as a starting point for days lined with activities. Walking distance to Big Ben, London Eye, Big Bus (hop-on hop-off bus) and Imperial War museum. Good channel selection in the evenings when you want to relax with a while watching TV before bedtime. Small warning though for those with poor back; the beds are too soft, which (for my part at least) can result in a little back stiffness / aches.

i would stay here again ... we got a tiny little room... then asked if we could move to a larger one... and they obliged with no extra charge! the breakfast was .... ok .... the beds were ok... not a new hotel... but keep in mind the price and location.... these two factors make this the greatest deal in central london!

We stayed for 5 nights and had a great time! The rooms are cozy and very clean! The service passed every morning to fix the room. The hotel is located in a strategic place to visit but at the same time in a not too busy area. The bedroom windows are hermetically sealed and you can hear few noises! 5 minutes walk from the Lambeth North stop of the brown line.

VERY CARINE ROOMS, VERY CLEAN AND VERY COMFORTABLE WITH DAILY CLEANING.
VERY FRIENDLY STAFF AND LONELY CORDIAL ALWAYS READY TO HELP YOU.
VERY CENTRAL LOCATED 15 MINUTES FROM LONDON EYE, TEN MINUTES FROM WESTMINSTER, 15 MINUTES FROM TRASFALGAR SQUERE AND 20 MINUTES FROM PICCADILLY CIRCUS.
I WAS ON OTHER HOTELS IN LONDON BUT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS

If you can manage to book at a discount price via one of the many on-line booking sites then this hotel can really represent good value for money for a London hotel. Although a bit dated the rooms and reception areas are clean and presentable and the rooms a good size for a budget hotel. The location is excellent - just a 5 minute walk from Waterloo station.
