Incredible. Walking distance to the docks, restaurants, curio shops, bakeries and helicopter tours and next door to an aquarium. The staff were very professional and warm. High tea is fantastic, and the breakfast was superb! The bed was the best sleep I've ever had. The tub is enormous, and the shower is amazing. Our room looked over part of the docks and Table Mountain. I'm already planning on coming back. I highly recommend the One and Only!!

I sent an email to restaurant reservations at the One & Only on Monday to make booking for afternoon tea, but didn't receive a response. I followed up again on Wednesday, yet again with no response. For such a top hotel you would think your customer service would be significantly better. Very disappointed as i'm coming from the UK and really wanted to do this.

My wife and I stayed in Cape Town for 3 nights and wish we stayed longer. The location was great for walking around the waterfront and the rooms were spacious, modern and had great views. The service also made you feel at home. I will stay there when we return.

Room - The room on the 4th floor had a great view of the lagoon and Table Mountain (when clear). Both the living area and bathroom were spacious and modern.

Food - We had breakfast every morning at Reubens. The eggs were made to order, and were great. They could do custom made eggs and also had some menu items as well. The buffet setup was mainly for bread, charcuterie, and fruit/cereal. There weren't the typical hot plates that you would see, however you could order the standard meat selections like bacon and sausage. They also had mimosas and screwdrivers. Service was prompt and helpful.

Vista bar - Excellent cocktails and a lot of seating. The service was superb. Elton made custom cocktails for me and they were great. They have a TV and setup the soccer match for us.

Gym - Lots of equipment and space for stretching and yoga. There were trainers in there who were eager to help as well.

I've been for high tea here many times over the years. However, on this occasion I was surprised to see they had done away with the buffet table (which was the basis of its appeal) and you now receive a tiered tray with the savouries and sweets. The food was ok but not what I expected from this hotel. It wasn't as full as I remember when they had the buffet. Also the price has increased tremendously. R510 per person. I only gave it three stars because of the view of table mountain. I doubt I will ever return. My money could be spent elsewhere for afternoon tea. Very disappointed.

Great venue, spoilt by parking issues. Parking sucks. How do they expect customers to visit regularly, without adequate parking - definitely not five star! Staff parking prioritized over customers apparently.

A group of us (about 26 of us - mainly Seniors) had a wonderful experience at Reuben's yesterday morning (1 December). Food was excellent, service unbeatable and the atmosphere very pleasant. Will highly recommend this restaurant - definitely for the breakfast. Thank you to Marcus and his group of fantastic people who made our time so exquisite.
