Emergency Maintenance ... A Long Way from Home

David Lytle made my "emergency maintenance" experience...a long way from home...incredibly relaxing. On a Friday afternoon returning to Milwaukee, WI from Evansville, IN on I-57, I was eighteen miles from David Bruce Toyota/Cadillac Dealership when I was startled to notice the "Maintenance Required" light appear on the instrument dashboard of my 2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid. Immediately, at the next exit, I took the ramp and pulled over where I asked Siri to find me a Toyota Dealership on my iPhone. Siri came back promptly and called David Bruce Toyota in Bourbonnais, IL where the service department representative asked me how long it would take for me to get there. I replied, "Eighteen minutes!". He said, "Great! I'll see you in eighteen minutes." As I drove, I worried that I might be required to stay in Bourbonnais until the middle of the following week...wondering if they would have time to schedule me for a service appointment. When I arrived, David Lytle introduced himself to me. I told him the problem with the light on the dashboard and he explained they could accomplish the procedure that afternoon. He lead me to the waiting room which was very clean and comfortable. I visited with a lovely lady who was a regular customer as well as a registered nurse. We talked about her profession, and before I knew it, David came to tell me my car was freshly washed and ready to go. Everyone at David Bruce was more than helpful and very friendly. I have a Toyota Prepaid Maintenance Agreement which I purchased when I bought my car. There was no charge for the service. I can't thank them enough for helping me on my way. I am physically impaired, and it was an enormous relief to be able to get back home that evening without having to spend anymore nights on the road, as I can only drive 200 miles in one day. Thank you David Bruce Toyota and David Lytle!!!!

Had a recall letter on Toyota. Called and made appointment. Two days before the appointment I get a call saying that the part is in and I need to call to schedule my appointment. I don t call I just show up to my appointment as it was already previously scheduled. I have no other service done. When I checked in I was asked if I wanted them to wash my Toyota. I said yes. The recall work was done in about 1 1/2 hours. They came out to tell me my truck was done and it was in line to be washed. About 30 minutes later they came out again and asked me if I wanted to take a pass on the wash because the truck was already done and there was a bad storm coming in. I didn t want to be the bad guy so I said OK fine. I get in my truck that was parked out in the open. As I m driving away I noticed that the back window is rolled down. So why was my back window rolled down? And is there any guarantee someone was going to check that before it went in the wash or better yet before the rain was supposed to arrive? If you don t want to wash my truck don t even ask but go ahead and leave the paper in the floor of the driver s side and the card with the number on my dash, no worries I got your trash.

Please double check the work of the mechanics before you drive your car off the lot at DBA. We brought our Camry in two days ago for routine oil change/tire rotation and two days later my husband took the car 200 miles away for his monthly drill for the National Guard. En route to his unit he was hearing a thunk with each turn of the wheel. When he pulled over to the side of the road he discovered that four out of the five nuts/bolts HOLDING THE TIRE ONTO THE CAR were extremely loose. We have placed a call to their Service Department Manager, but want to alert the public to beware! Please use caution- my husband could have lost complete control of the car if the tire had come completely off. Had he not known what that noise indicated and driven even further with a loose tire this could have been a horrible wreck.

Finding the right place for buying a nice car at a good price is not an easy task. David Bruce Toyota is a good place if you want to buy a car for less, but repokar auto auction offers a wider choice of models.

Less than 48. hrs later check engine light comes on.relized the back door wouldnt open.serviced checked it out.was catalytic converter which would cost $1000s they said.I wanted to return it but salesman i used said catylic converter shouldnt give you a problem.Im praying it doesnt.

Made an appointment to see a used car we had noticed online; drove about 100 miles to get there; drive was worth it. Salesman Keith was helpful, efficient, listened carefully to our needs and worked hard to accommodate them. We drove the 100 miles home in a newer, different car.

Effective communication with co-worker and client

I had several questions and Keith may not have had all the answers but he clearly stated let me get a more knowledgeable Cadillac sales representative and Brandt answered the questions and returned to what he was doing, not trying to take over the sale, excellent communication between the two of them in front of a client. (the team work was awesome) (I work in a customer service area). Keith asked me to test drive the car and the rest was history. I drove the car to Minneapolis, Minnesota. How's that for test driving! If I was to write a performance review for Keith Wright and Brandt Winters, I would say Teamwork: willingly cooperates, shares information, assists and is tolerant of others in daily interaction with all co-workers and clients. Easily adjusts to changes for clients needs to be productive. Identifies problems within own area, develops resourceful solutions, and makes recommendations for corrective action. Excellent job. I use to drive only Lincolns. This was a major sale for me!!! I love it. Thanks again!

Thought we wanted a Camry, it drove ok, but they couldn't get the infotainment system to work with our phone; turns out you need 3 apps from Toyota and even then it didn't work. I tried to go to a local place to check the Scout navigation system, we live in a small town and the system had me a mile from the business I input by name. Not great when you only know the the name of where you need to get to. Google maps gets me there all the time without issues. Toyota needs to use Apple, Android, and Window systems rather than reinventing the whole thing.

Incredibly disappointed with my experience. I put money down on a car and the sales manager sold it out from under me without so much as a call before the purchase was made. I was going to be there less than 48 hours later to look at the car and make a final decision on whether or not to buy it but they couldn't wait after having the car for 5 months. Caused me unneeded stress and anger. My family has purchased multiple cars from them and this is how they repay us. Do not recommend.

I went to David Bruce with the intention of test driving a Rav4. A friend of mine referred Jeff Moss as a great salesman and that I should definitely speak to him. As I was walking up to the dealership, a salesman was walking out and greeted me right away. This salesman just happened to be Jeff. Throughout the entire process, he was super friendly and down to earth and not at all pushy, which to me is a huge turn off in a salesperson. I test drove the cars I had expressed interest in and ended up liking one. I really didn't have the intention to purchase right away, but the car was priced perfectly and though it was a little older the mileage was super low, so I had the finance department do some number crunching for me. They me a great deal and ware able to keep my payments exactly where I wanted them. I would recommend this dealership to anyone I know looking for a car. And I will definitely go back when the time comes to trade up!

I never left a review when I originally bought my brand new 2016 RAV4, which was obviously years ago BUT even that long ago I STILL remember my sales associate by name, Janelle and the experience and how I felt the day I bought it!!!

Like any shopper, I was in the market way back when and went to every local dealership looking for a small SUV. I was willing to spend more at each dealership based on what I was getting. After a week of comparing and evaluating... it all came down to the service and experience I had with Janelle that made me buy from David Bruce Toyota!!! She went above and beyond for me and showed me all kinds of features on the car, we took the car for a test drive and she showed me the Sport mode and wanted me to get on it! NO OTHER LOCAL DEALERSHIP DID THIS!!! Some didn t even give me the time of day. GMC, the most expensive, said yeah you can go test drive it- go for it and I went by myself, there was no salesmanship.

Janelle knew we were moving to NY so she even got me a AWD!!! Everything I wanted I got!!! To this day, years later I can remember everything about this experience!!! And coming in to get my first brand new vehicle and it having the shiny red bow on it!!! The icing on the cake! So grateful and thankful for this experience!!! I m a loyal Toyota customer for life! Thank you so much!!!

Live in bolingbrook drove out there 1 hour away only to tell me the price us different on the SUV I was looking at then did not want to budge at all on my trucks cost or the one I was looking at. Called and texted multiple times and still not wanting to lock in a deal. There SUV has an accident report and noise coming from front end I ran the vin but still no help Jason was my car salesman
It's funny how they change the price again from 6900.00 to 9999.00. For the 2005 4 runner. This dealer is bogus playing games with people making them drive out to there dealer to only tell me it is more money. Beware people shady people and dealer.

Tony is AWESOME!! I dreaded going into the dealer...

Tony is AWESOME!! I dreaded going into the dealership, as it has always been a hassle in the past. I was supposed to see Dave, but he had an emergency. I prayed on my way there that if it was meant that I got a different vehicle that it would be made possible. God knew I was anxious and he led me to Tony. I went in for another vehicle a little newer than the one I had, and I ended up with a BRAND new car! I am thrilled beyond belief that David Bruce was able to work with Toyota and allow me to finance a new car. I have no idea when the last time I had a brand new car. I am blessed that God led me to you, and will spread the word of the great cars, service and friendly faces at David Bruce. Tony.... YOU ROCK!!!!!

WOW! Really? I brought my 2016 Avalon in for the 20K Toyota Care warranty service(purchased from David Bruce). This service includes oil & filter change,tire rotation, new cabin filter, check brakes, fluids, etc.
When the car was returned l noticed the tires were NOT rotated.
After bringing this to their attention the tires were rotated, but I left with a feeling of less trust and wondering how often this happens with other customers(unknowingly). My gut feeling said I should check the cabin filter after I got home.AND GUESS WHAT? The filter was NOT serviced either and needed changing. I guessing everything needs to be checked from the service department, IF I ever return to David Bruce for service. But I doubt it.
So customers BEWARE! I Consider this an UNSAFE practice. Wondering
what other maintenance procedures aren't (unknowingly) completed.

This was a total GREAT experience buying my granddaughter her very first car! My salesman Robert Reus couldn t have been better!! He made her first time here priceless!! He s considerate and honest he worked hard not to make a dollar but to make my grandaughter happy!!! Thank You Robert ! We will now switch from Honda to Toyota and Robert will be the man ! I was so impressed by the balance between a professional and personal experience with Janelle. She had the car I was looking for ready upon my arrival. I did not feel pressured at all and felt that I received a fair deal on the trade-in on my car. She was extremely thorough with her explanations. After driving five Camrys I decided to try the Rav4. I was looking for a trim level of a 2014 Toyota Highlander that no other local dealership had on their lot. Further, no one was willing to help me find it. Then I called David Bruce Toyota. Brandt Winters answered the phone and immediately said that if they didn't have the car that I wanted on their lot, he would do anything in his power to find it and bring it to David Bruce. I was skeptical, but sure enough, a day later, Brandt called me and said he found the exact car I was looking for in another state and that he would send someone to pick it up and bring it to David Bruce. I'm sure it was no easy feat on his end, but he made it sound like it was no trouble at all. I've never encountered anyone in sales who has been willing to go to such great lengths for a customer. Brandt was happy to go the extra mile, or 200 as this case may be, to get the car I wanted. He was kind, easy-going, and knowledgable. If anyone I know needs a car in the future, I will most definitely have them call Brandt. He is a valuable asset to David Bruce Toyota and made the hour drive to get there well worth it. One additional note: Mike helped make the financing end of our experience smooth and painless. He was courteous and professional. Thank you Brandt and Mike!!

David specifically provided me with a great buying experience with straightforward information and was actually considerate of my time. I never felt pressured into making my purchase, he simply was professional and helped me with my buying decisions until I was ready, so I moved forward.

I really had a great sales rep who doesn't get hunger . Tony was not pushy and extremely patient since I like to talk. He answered all my questions no matter how small and made it a point to alert his bosses that I was there to do business . My credit was only ran twice as requested : Dealer and Bank ,so there was no shotgunned credit syndrome. Of course I had to be specific of what I wanted. Tony is very intuitive since he figured out quite quickly what car i needed based on my grievances from my trade in. The price was fair market value and mirrored what online showed. All I can say , I felt VIP since he went out of his way to make sure I could get my other car from the shop home. I am finally satisfied with my car purchase since I did this total of 3 times with 2 other Dealerships in last 4 yrs so there will be lots of referrals coming his way. by the way please eat, Tony food is also just as necessary as great Customer Service . Wink,, Wink..

Dave worked with me even before coming in to the dealership to nail down a competitive price that was one of the lowest in the region. He included all fees, taxes, etc, so that I had the "Out the Door" price even before I walked "In the Door".

Matt was a great salesman, meaning that he was personable, easy to relate to, and very low pressure. He was so easy going that I hesitate to even use the word "salesman" for fear of negative connotations that some associate with that word. He is relatively new to the Toyota world, and so while he knew many things, there were some Toyota-specific details he did not know. However, he freely admitted it when these few items came up, rather than making something up.

When finished, I walked out the door, paying exactly what Dave had told be before I came in with no surprises, no hidden fees, and no hassle.

Janelle has always gone above and beyond. We weren't looking to trade, but she contacted us about a local trade, and worked wonders to get the numbers where we needed to them to be. She works with integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction. If you aren't happy, she isn't happy. She told us to come back whenever we wanted and she would help us learn all the bells and whistles on our vehicle. Don't shop anywhere else!

This last summer I was looking for a new truck and...

This last summer I was looking for a new truck and stumbled upon this dealership. Went in to buy a 2012 Ford F-150 in Mid July and this truck has been the biggest headache I ve ever had. I had been told it was minimal rust and that everything had been inspected and was good on this truck. Here we are 4 months later and I ve already been in a wreck because I just slid when I pushed the brakes and come to find out I had pretty much no brake pads and needed all new rotors. Also, someone had ZIPTIED the emergency brake hookup to the back tire. Today I am having to take it again to get looked at because of a oil leak. This truck had already cost me at least $1500 just in repairs of stuff that should have been looked at and mentioned when I was buying the vehicle. I would not recommend buying a vehicle here.
