I regretfully gave the Dan only three stars as it has some good qualities - it is a large, retro '70s hotel with gardens, a little away from the Old City, but an easy hop on the nearby tram. The place is spacious in the '70's hotel style and most of the staff and cleaners were really friendly. Downsides are some of the rooms and areas are pretty shabby, the 6.00am start breakfast (decent) gets rapidly trashed by tour groups on early starts and the wifi is one of the worst I have experienced in a 4/5* hotel - on one afternoon it totally went, along with the lights, without warning, while they conducted tests. It took me several calls for someone to tell me what was going on - why could they not have warned guests? They also don't tell you the outside pool is closed from autumn to Spring - they have an indoor pool in the large gym, but it seems to be dominated by outside members doing aerobics and who complain when you swim! Overall, this place relies a bit too much on tour groups visiting Jerusalem not having much choice - could be a lot better

All I can say is wow. Everything was so wonderful. From the moment I checked in until I checked out I felt like a VIP guest with the attention and care. The hotel's Assistant Guest Relations Manager Jeremy Weiss was beyond amazing. Because of my work I stay at hotels including luxury hotels around the world and I appreciate a high personal level of service. Jeremy belongs in a luxury hotel somewhere some day. Please thank him for me.
The food was delicious with so much to choose from. It is a shame that I did not have hours to sit and try everything on the buffet. Please thank the chef.
Finally a big thank you to Efrat from the Front Desk. So professional and takes control right away.
I hope to come back and will recommend the hotel to my friends and family. Shanah Tovah Dan Jerusalem.

Breakfast is very tasty, the kids' playroom is nice, the service is courteous, the pool outside is beautiful but too cold for the kids and they must not get heated for some reason. The rooms are very uncomfortable and do not justify the price (stale and stale furniture. Weird balcony). We will not return.

We received a gift voucher in honor of our birthdays at the hotel spa. We started with a luxurious, high-quality and rich breakfast! There was everything, salads, pickles, fish, fresh and roasted vegetables, breads, eggs of all kinds, an omelette making stand with all kinds of toppings, fruits and lots of desserts !! The food was very tasty, you can't really taste everything .. The service was courteous and the waiter cleared the table from time to time. At the spa itself we were treated by a therapist and therapist, the massage was professional and relaxing. Then we went to a well-equipped gym, and finally pampered in the pool, hot tub, and hammam. The wardrobes are clean, get locker for personal equipment (give some ID card as a deposit) You can exchange towels if needed. The water flow in the showers was excellent !!! And signed a particularly luxurious spa experience! Thank you! Recommend coming! (You can park in the hotel car park for 20 NIS per day)

There are a lot to say about this hotel. First of all, location. This hotel is near the best university in Israel, the Hebrew university of Jerusalem. Tranquil, nice, simple, sitting right across the University dorm. However, there is not much around, such as restaurants. If you prefer a non-bustling and a quiet place, this is a good choice because it is located north of Jerusalem, a bit outside, 4 light rail stops from Jaffa Gate. To walk to the light rail station, expect a 10 minute hike, but it is definitely the wise choice because it saves you money and time if you want to go to the Old City on Sabbath day. Hotel layout is a bit weird. Lobby level is on the 6th floor, do you constantly have to remind yourselves of where you are relative to the lobby. Once you orient your own thinking, you can navigate in the hotel pretty well. The hotel lobby is definitely impressive.

Decent rooms and food. The room I was in could use a little work. Nothing uncomfortable, but one outlet didn t work. I was disappointed by lack of customer service at the front desk. I had a small, but valuable envelope dropped off to me and I had to go to the desk 3 times and finally bring someone with me before it was found in the same drawer they looked in before!

If you expect 5 star service it's best to look else where. The list of foibles at this places goes on and on... From checking in at 5am and bring given a room which wasn't made up, to having a business center without a printer or working keyboard, coffee being poured and sloshed out of the cup not once but twice, generally unhelpful desk staff, room service plates not being cleared by house keeping the following day, not being able to swim in the pool w/o a lifeguard, being given a filthy towel at the pool the one time it was open .. Etc etc. I've stayed all over the world in backpackers to business class, I'm pretty flexible. But when I pay the kind of money it costs to stay here I have certain expectations... None of which were met.

Also, no fault of the hotel, there is really nothing around this property. So if you want to eat in the old city or elsewhere you have to travel to get anywhere. It was hard to really tell that when I made reservations. I wont be staying here again

Jeremy was a pleasure to see every day we walked into the hotel. Nina was very helpful with anything we needed at the front desk as well as Edlin. Whenever we come back to Jerusalem we will be checking in this hotel for the entire length of our stay. Highly recommended. Best food in all of the hotels in Israel!

Wifi is not working in the first 2 days of my stay. When I called to get it fixed, they connected me to their IT center with unfriendly staffs. The heater in my room is also broken. They sent someone to fix it but it doesn't solve the problem and I was forced to live with a broken heater for 3 days of my stay

The Dan hotel was a comfortable nights stay. It was interesting because some aspects of the hotel felt more high end (like the lobby and dining area) and then some parts felt a little out-dated. The night stand in your room controlled several functions like the thermostat and felt like an invention from the 90s. My queen room was also two twins pushed together which was functional but not ideal. Overall I didn't feel like anything really took away from my stay and the space of the room was more than adequate.

I was indebted for two days.
There was live piano music on the floor of the free Wi-Fi on the 4th floor, and coffee and iPhone while listening to the live piano was a daily routine (^ ^ ^;)

Our church VICTORY Church in Norcross Ga stayed here for 3 nights of our stay 12/11-12/14/2019. DAN JERUSALEM HOTEL is an awesome establishment from the time you walk in the door it is nothing but EXCELLENCE. Jeremy was amazing our Group had 50 people and he greeted us and made the experience awesomeness. Fixed our room with professional and care. The hotel have a restaurant on site that is so delicious and yummy with a variety of Kosher options. They had an elevator that observed the Shabbat which was so sweet. Nina on the night crew was very helpful. The hotel security desk helps to make sure your luggage is at the weight before going to airport. The rooms where nice. Especially the balcony rooms. We saw alot of other events being held at the hotel from conferences to various other events. THEY TRULY EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS. #TeamDanJerusalemHotel 4

I arrived after a very long day of sight seeing. Went to our rooms after check in and one of the room was very nice and smelled clean. Like any other hotel. We had a ajointing room next door and when we walked in the smell of mildew and mold mixed with room cover spray hit you in the face when walking in. I immediately called the front desk and requested another room. Well, has I went back up to get the new keys for the new room. I had to wait again. After, 8 mins gave me the new room key and I headed back up to the new room. I opened the door and again the smell hit me again. So I again went downstairs and talking to a manager. He and the reseptionist both walked to the room with me so I could show them what I was talking about. I first opened the first room door, and again it hit you right in the face. Then I walked them to the jointing room where my other family was staying and no smell. Then to the new room where the smell was there. They told me it was the room spray they use to make the room smell nice...well, maybe they should rethink the fragrance... Wow! so, they opened up the window and told me to air it out and left. Horrible service! I wouldn't give them any stars. I do not recommend this hotel.

Luxurious and well equipped but parts of the hotel are outdated. Hotel services are closed relatively early. Humanity and the friendliness of the hotel staff are not really nice. Breakfast is much worse than the days when the hotel was called Hyatt. Coffee from the old-fashioned machine, bad. If you ask for a cappuccino, you have to wait for someone to prepare it. If that worker is not in a position, do not offer it at the dining table. The staff and the staff do not see the guest in the center and it's a shame. Do their job when the convenience and desires of the guest are less important to them. It seems that this conduct is a management decision, which, as noted, should be changed as soon as possible. As a hotel guest I felt like transparent air. None of the employees really take any notice of you. bungling. At the Hyatt Regency Hayamy, it felt completely different.

We had interconnecting rooms on the main floor. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms are clean and modern. The breakfast buffet is amazing. We had to check out very early in the morning so the reception staff arranged a take away breakfast box for us.

Nice hotel, access to downtown and attractions is not convenient.
Breakfast is good, dinner is not good Kosher is not smooth - some of the salads were not fresh. The pizzas were not baking enough. When there are many people, there is a sense of crowding in the dining room.
The pool is open to children for only a limited number of hours between 2-4, but when asked to extend up to five they agreed.
The pool is not sufficiently heated, and there is no air conditioning in the pool complex so it is cold.
The heating in the rooms does not work properly, and there is only ventilation.
Our room was spacious and comfortable, luxuriously decorated.
At the same time the staff is courteous and the service good.

The rooms are remodeled yet it has this appearance of antiquity but that gives it a romantic touch, it seems that you are in a 70-80 movie but as if it were new, the sepia tones give that cozy atmosphere the pool is impressive, the food is exceptional, the carbes are prepared at the moment so everything fresh, good view of the city of Jerusalem, in a few words exceptional

The room was reasonable. A little crowded as soon as a cot is added, you have to pull out the coffee table to have more space. The breakfast room is crowded and makes it difficult to move with a baby stroller. The outdoor pool is small compared to hotels in Eilat. The food is delicious and the service is great

Bad hotel with stratospheric prices. The staff does not speak English and is arrogant and falsely obliging. They brought me water without a glass. I asked four times to the waiter and the maitre 1. When I finished dinner I have brought a laugh 4. The rooms are old with few outlets detached. The dark and sad corridors. The set is shabby and poor as well as being dirty.
