it is quite the sensory experience! from the ground level where there is a video room with a 360 view of a mini movie, the room with the different smells to all the art work throughout the building, oh then theres the toilets! trust me go to the toilet!
we also saw the Dali exhibit. it was very interesting.
once up the top you can go outside to view the beautiful surroundings and try all the nice wine they have.
the staff are friendly and provide lots of info on the wine
if heading into Mclaren Vale, i believe its a must to go!

Wonderful day with a great team to look after you. Thank you Tanya with the wine blending experience, and Elyene for the wonderful service for our Signature Degustation lunch. Take the time, do not drive, and enjoy a great day here.

What a fabulous draw card to the local area! So quirky and amazing artwork!
The toilets themselves are worth checking out.. they really are something else.
The wine tasting however was impersonal and the staff are so under the pump they appear to be going through the motions as it was so busy. We had 3 different staff for one tasting.
Definitely worth the $10 cover charge to experience "The Cube".

The shed/barn from the out side did not appear to be a cellar and wine room but surprisingly very nice inside. This wine room is set out with varnished wood with simple but high end displays set in a old style barn. Very helpful staff in the shed providing additional details on wines and assisting us with all our purchases. A must visit after dinner or a visit to the cube.

Visited The Cube and found it interesting. It has 5 floors however you are only allowed on 3 of them.
$10 to get in, and you get to sample a wide selection of local wines on the 4th floor. Fantastic views.
Worth a visit.

Very flash looking, modern facility. A bit weird though, and not sure what a lot of it has to do with wine.
We did a tasting upstairs. Service was great, but for us the wine wasn't anything special. We were last to leave, and although the people upstairs were encouraging us to take our time, the people downstairs had already closed the garage door and had to re-open it to let us out.

Used to love going here with family and friends who come over to SA to sample and purchase their great wines. The staff were friendly and they were always happy to help and let you taste a wide variety.
But I will never go there again now.

Since they have built that strange looking building, they now want 10 dollars for an 'experience' before you can even sample the wines. I tried to explain that we are not interested in the art or whatever experience they offer and only want the wine, but was refused as it now comes as a 'package' . This is a terrible disappointment as this used to be a warm, friendly place but now is just a money grabbing art gallery with the offer to buy wine from another building once you finish.

Poor decision for people like myself who have zero interest in their art agenda and only want the wine.

Outstanding winery with the cube as the attraction. And then there is the art inside the cube. At the moment the Dali exhibition is still going. The whole place is a gem. So relaxing, so much to see or just sit under an old tree with a view to die for. A must on your list when in my home city Adelaide.

Novel, great views and food what miniscule morsels we had, were good. Service was virtually nonexistent for me. Like I didn't exist. It's a place I'd go for fasting while feasting on the lovely scenery. The wine was excellent, but I dared not indulge too much on my empty stomach.

The cube is a highlight, the service leaves much to be desired. A good wine must not be tasted a second time ... even though it is the only winery where we had to pay admission.

The wine is excellent without question and Winery worth a visit.

Huge selection for tasting so you'll likely find one you like. Professional but not warm staff, somehow feels touristy, commercialized. Do not expect the chance of a coffee if you did not book in for their minimum-spend restaurant. The grounds are set up for free picnics with mats & chairs but the view is only okay. The cube monstrosity - innovative but seems out of place.

I didn't enjoy the art museum on the ground floor, it was dark and a bit claustrophobic, and the art was not my taste. The wine tasting area on the 4th level was very well set up, with a wide range of interesting wines for tasting and good personal service. It is an interesting destination worth a visit.

What a fascinating place! Four floors of something from The Mad Hatter's Tea Party! Built in the shape of a Rubix Cube, the wine tasting and knowledge of wines by staff was excellent. The toilets were fascinating to say the least! The restaurant first class and the Salvador Dali gallery and artworks surrounding the Winery brilliant!

I think just about everyone from Adelaide is familiar with d'Arenberg, you should make your way here more than once as there's so much available you may be hard pressed to get through it all in a single visit (if that's your thing).

Usually quite busy as it's popular but the staff are quick on their feet and don't leave anyone just standing around.

I love there cube building. And also their outside decoration is outstanding. The way to the cube, building itself, the view with the building or views from the building, everything is so mesmerising. I feel it attracts to everyone. Love their sculptures. The way they recycle things into sculptures and express them, it's too good. Nice architecture with awesome landscape.

Awesome!! Took the long degustation menu with wine pairing and it was absolutely fabulous.
Great food : loved the eel and the sardine, great wines : loved the mud pie and sauvignon blanc, and excellent service : friendly and very professional. And what about the location : stunning.
Price tag could look expensive, but believe me it's worth every single $.

The cube is worth a visit. Dali's artifacts and the fine art is worth a look. $10 entry gives you access to the level 1 art gallery, level 2 - toilets and level 4 for wine tasting. The red's are overrated. Dessert wines are better. Overall a good experience.

Salvador Dali exhibition at d'Arenberg

For the liver of this Artist, you should take the ride down to the Winery

Wine testing - the wine is too young and to me, buy what you feel you may like and put it away for the next 10 years!!

I love the dead Arm, but has to be 10 years old at lest

Definitely not your "barn door" winery and I had my doubts and was worried it was going to be tacky but this was not the case at all. The cube is better in person and definitely worth a visit. 10 dollars will gain you entry and this includes a basic wine taste at the top floor. They have a range of wines which were at least on par if not better than many around the area. There are various "exhibits" along the way which were hilarious. They have a restaurant as well and you could spend as much money from there as you want. For me the architecture was most interesting and will probably appeal to others as well.

A MUST visit location. One of the best experiences in Adelaide. Prices are reasonable, the food, wines and views are worth every cent. I also did the wine tasting and blending course and felt it was very good value and a great educational experience.
The space lends its self well to art exhibitions. My favorite so far is the current Dali sculpture exhibition.

The building was very interesting for both kids and adults. It really played around with your senses. Final exit was really interesting. There was a column made with magnetic tapes and it was pitch dark inside.

The wines were great as usual. Well worth a visit. I wish I had spent a bit more time there.

Entrance is $10 per adult or child if anyone is wondering...

Very impressive! The passion and pride of the region and vineyard is evident in this masterpiece of a creation! My only criticism is that they charge an entry fee of $10 per person for EVERYONE regardless of age which I found a little offensive as the cover supposedly includes the wine tasting and my 2 year old hasnt quite developed the pallet for wine as yet... All in all a favourable visit with delicious samplings! Thank you

This is perhaps the most iconic winery in McLaren Vale and for good reason. The interior and decor are all works of art, and the installations and fixtures are as equally impressive.
The service is excellent and staff are very helpful. We really enjoyed the wine and our wine tasting experience.
Great for both tourists and locals!

Hopeless service. We were served flat wines and had 3 staff in 20 minutes that couldn't give us the time of day. We have been a long supporter of their wines but thanks will never buy your wines again.

Well, was standing there in the cube after paying $10 to get up to the 4th floor, and a staff member (Kiara) said to me you need to stand near your group , Maybe there is a thing about staff only serving/helping 1 person or group at a time?

I was standing alone and just wanted to taste a red 2 others next to me (not with the people I came up with), were tasting.

Confused after spending over $200 on wine earlier elsewhere at 3 other wineries, at the rudeness, so we left with no wine, went up the road to Alpha Box & Dice, had a great time, spent a further $90 on 2 bottles of great reds, and the staff were more than accommodating, free cheese platter, let us taste all the wine, which we purchased.

Seriously people, get the right staff, with the right attitude, and we will spend the money at your establishment. Thank you.

I had bad experience, because one of staff (Asian girl) attitude was so rude. She was talking too fast. Also she did not explain about any wines.
I was very disappointed about attitude.
I think you guys know that customer service is very important! You guys should teach that girl about customer service. I never visit again!

Pretty beautiful view and good museum. However, the service at the wine tasting room was absolutely disappointed. It looked like the wine tasting server did not want to sell any wine to us. When we asked questions about the wine, the only response we got was This wine is dry. Other than that, there was no further information. We planned to get some wine from d Arenberg, but because of the terrible service, we eventually did not get any.

Hmm.....slightly unusual art installation in the ground floor - speak easy esk hidden doors etc - wine tasting on the top floor was too busy so we didn t get much attention despite telling staff we had a reservation at the restaurant next door which we were running late for. Tried 2-3 wines for our $10 entry and left.

We had the degustation here and have to say it possibly one of our favourites now. The experience was just magical, the food had so much taste plus presentation was special. Also, I must say the waiters are so friendly and go out of their way to make you welcome. We will remember the whole experience for some time and needless to say, we were the last ones out. Nearly forgot, blokes, make sure you have a toilet break, their very interesting!

A unique and must see place when in McLaren Vale. The cube offers a completely unique exterior and interior which has a very 'Alice in wonderland' theme to it. The staff were all extremely friendly and happy to help. Unfortunalty there is no toilets on level 4 where you do the wi e tastings, so be sure to go to them on level 2 (if you can find them). Will 100% be visiting again and recommending everyone (both international and local people) to visit.

So lucky we came in the evening this time as they have just started occassional Saturday evenings 5pm until 8.30pm with the ground floor and top floor open as a bar with wines by the glass or bottle and cheese platters. Had a lovely time chatting, drinking, nibbling and watching the sunset.

Incredible place with a lot of fun stuff to see. The entrance is $10 and it's definitely worth it. Every single room including toilets has something interesting and unique.
We were lucky to come at 11:00am, our friend who came at 11:30am had to wait in a queue. So better come early.

The d'Arenberg Cube is breathtaking. It's a bold statement, equal parts bizarre and refined, that sticks out amongst the vines like a citadel.

Start in the funky museum on the ground level, and work your way to the top to sample their glorious wines. It's an "experience" - that's the only way to describe it! - and it's not to be missed.

Wow, best place for wine testing and a so refreshing view in the city side where everything is natural especially the mountain landscapes view from this tower where the environment is so green. This is the best time to visit to enjoy inhaling the fresh air from the greens that are covering the environment. You definitely need a private vehicle to this place for convenience sake however uber drives can also do the trick from Seaford train station
