First, who charges a three year old for a "museum" visit? The museum in this case being a haphazard collection of artwork mostly without interest.

Second, given that the $10 per head (everyone older than two years old) also is a requirement for a wine tasting, it is worth noting that the only wines available for tasting without paying more are thoroughly uninteresting. But sure, they'll sell you "premium" tastings for more money. We didn't bother trying those, having felt swindled by the experience up to that point.

Third, the extent to which the art is really really bad is worthy of another point. It's as if someone thinks that they can force others to think they are interesting by putting on a funny hat.

Went for a degustation lunch which was amazing! They even accommodated us running half an hour late without fuss. Wine pairings were great and the lobster bisque a must have! I thought it was good value for money. Wine tasting at the cellar door is very enjoyable and reasonable prices. You will need to drive it is extremely difficult to get taxis so pre arrange transport.

This will inevitably be controversial, but I loved it. Interactive museum, after which you ascend to the top floor to sample d'Arenberg's whole selection with amazing views of the Vale and the sea. Must visit.

Great views from the top floor but I think the rest was overrated. A destination for sure, a way to get the punters in. The 'art' was poorly curated and there was no information about what was on the crowded walls. We were encouraged to see the toilets mm walls of plastic plants.

Commercialism gone mad. Used to be a relaxing experience at d'Arenberg. Thankfully the wine is still good. Was there for the second time in a couple of months with visitors from interstate who wanted to see the cube. Didn't want or need to pay for the experience twice. Went to Maxwell's close by for more tasting (for free) and lunch which was a delightful experience. Other wineries near by report increased trade since the cube was opened so I suppose it must be good for tourism in the state. A gutsy move to build the cube but they need to brush off the welcome mat to make customers feel less like cattle being herded.

The gallery is very quirky. Make sure that you have a look in the men s toilet as it is especially quirky.

$10.00 to get in but the gallery is interesting for all the family and the tastings were wonderful. There was over 40 different wines to try and we were there for ages.

It was a fun place to visit but not worth the 10 dollar entry fee. The wine tasting bar was good but not great. The thing that was most disappointing was that the restaurant was not open to the public.

Be prepared for a fantastically surreal experience. The cube comprises a small museum, an exhibition space, high end restaurant and a wine tasting area. When I visited you had to pay $10 for entrance to the building (includes museum and wine tasting) and an extra $10 for entry into the exhibition.

The whole place is uniquely design and hugely trippy. Great views from the top floor where the wine tasting is. Overall a must see if in the region as this real is unique.

We only had a short time to spare at this iconic winery, so bought 2 glasses of wine and a cheese board and enjoyed the view and lorikeets sitting in the trees above us.
Food was scrumptious and generous and wine was lovely.
There as lots of chairs and picnic rugs to use, as well as some wooden games for children.

We certainly will be back with more time to see the art installations, the cube and a meal in the restaurant.
Highly recommended and a Not to Miss!!!

Excellent experience and well worth the $10 entrance fee. Do the art experience as it is fun and different, only takes about 30 mins. The views from the tasting room are brilliant and great wine list to try. Three different eating options available from coffee cafe to restaurant.

Great wines, fascinating art display and I'm not much of an art appreciator but liked what was there. The one thing letting the place down is the SLOW overcrowded lift and can't use the stairs to level 4 where wine tasting is.

We recently experienced the Vegan Degustation menu and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Photographs don't do it justice, the flavours and textures were amazing. As wine pairing was up around six standard drinks, staff were happy to split this between two of us and we found it more than ample. A big thank you to the friendly and knowledgeable staff. The whole experience lasted nearly two and a half hours in the beautiful & cozy Verandah restaurant overlooking the vineyards on a cold and rainy day.

The building is cool however it really should have a warning for people who suffer from claustrophobia... given that you have to pay to go in if you can only make it in 10 steps it's a massive waste of money. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR SIGNAGE! If you've ever felt claustrophobic don't go. The staff said it happens all the time (when my partner became really unwell from it!).

Magic. A must do. Go there. Excellent wine tasting presentation by staff who care. Altered reality presentation and quirky museum objects including mechanical music boxes. I coaxed along locals who'd never been and they were impressed. Oh and the Dahli exhibition was great too. Great location and fantastic views. Couldn't be a better experience.

I always admire the d'Anrenbery Cube as a one of t...

I always admire the d'Anrenbery Cube as a one of the landmarks of South Australia. Finally, I took my family to visit Adelaide and wanting to check out the winery there. However, we arrived at 9.15am, the onsite staff told my parents that they don't open until 10 am and don't walk around because of they found brown snakes in the field yesterday. So I have told my family and make sure they understand and don't walk around.

So we started taking pictures of the amazing cube. My parents went to the other side of the road and just? enjoy?the scenery. Mind you all the vineyard is being blocked by all the wired fence, you cannot walk into it, you only can stand on the side of the road. The same onsite staff started yelling at my parents, her behavior was so rude and outrageous, she said I told you don't want into it, if you got beaten by brown snake it is your fault. I appreciate your warning and we got your mesage. But you don't have to yelled at us, her behavior made us so uncomfortable and so not awkard to be there, we were forced to leave the site ASAP.

My question to you - Dear D'Anrenberg team are,
1. if you worried about your custoners get attacked by brown snakes so much,
wouldn't you be cancel the open the open for that day? Because it is such a tourists attracttion, people who come for the restaurant or wine tasting, they will do what we did, walking on the road and taking pictures. will you go after them and yelled at them?

2. the temperature of Adelaide was 40+ degrees yesterday, do you really see snakes wondering around and wanting to get burned in the high heat? Also she keeps mentioned brown snakes, it that's really often to see in the vineyard? According to that staff member, there are lots of brown snakes in the fields.

3. you should check out chateau tanunda Barossa Valley, they have better customers service than you. We visited Barossa Valley yesterday and had such a pleasant time. And every winery we go,all staff members were super friendly.

Last but not the least, my hands were shaking when I wrote this review, i cannot bear to see my family got yelled out on holidays. why you are so rude to us, dear d'Anrenbery team? I am someone who always give people 5 stars reviews and not bothered by anything but when you are rude to my family, thats a big No.Unfortunately, will have to tell all my other family and friends not to bothered visiting your winery since Asian customers are so not welcomed there! I cannot even enjoy the rest of my trip coz your poor customers service we received today! The worst place ever.

The extended degustation is impeccable. Carefully curated and incorporating all of your senses in each bite, with amazing wines to match and attentive staff, this is an SA highlight. Take some time if you have a booking and arrive an hour earlier to work your way through the levels.

I highly recommend people visit this fantastic establishment for both the food, wine and art, if only once. It is a winery experience for all of the senses. The art for visual, auditory, sensory and even sense of smell, the amazing selection of wines and food for the taste pallet. The best value for money was definitely the 8 course degustation at the verandah, but will be coming back to try the menu in the cube restaurant itself. All staff were friendly and accommodating like a silver spoon restaurant. An easy 5 Star rating

The symbol of South Australia! A sample of exceptional architecture, wine making, service and dining. The Cube experience combined with the view from the outside or inside the Cube, will make it the essential must-see destination in Australia.

Have made a mess of wine tasting by only offering in the Cube. $10 entry even for kids makes this ridiculously expensive when you have a large family. Try buying wines in the stable from inexperienced staff with only two staff not knowing the first thing about the wines available for purchase. There are far better options in the Vale. Go to Wirra Wirra instead. Great experience to be had there.

The positives: For those who appreciate art, wine and exploring the unexpected this is the perfect venue for you.
The Salvador Dali works were of course exceptional.
The Alternative Realities Museum was intriguing.
The Toilets were arty and surprising.
The negatives: Busy and popular on weekends so go on a week day if you can.
Price was a little on the expensive side $25 each for entry to cube, exhibits and tasting. Okay for a one time experience but adding up to $50 a couple, we most likely wouldn't repeat the experience.
Highlight: definitely the toilets. Loved the arty details and the view when you wash your hands.

Omg..this place is for stuck up yuppy types. They charge you $10 adult and child each just to go in and then once your in they haven't told you that unless you've booked a table that you can't eat there and unless your into spending big money on the wine there's nothing else to do in this pocky cube. You can stand at a glass window and watch them prepare the meals which are made up of petals and oil essence. Bloody waste of time this place. Never recommend this to the average working class person in Adelaide. We're not good enough for this place

I really wish that I had a better experience here. The place itself is an architectural marvel, with some interesting rooms on the ground floor. I didn't eat at the restaurant but it was cool seeing the inner workings of the kitchen from the first floor. My real gripe with this place is the wines. D'Arenberg has always showcased the best aspects of McLaren Vale, but the wines on offer today were awful. Too much bloody tannin! Almost made my face cave in on itself. I wish I was honest with the servers but I persevered through the list, trying to find a glimmer of hope. If you're going to build such an incredible cellar door, you need to back it up with excellent wines. Otherwise it's all show, no substance.

We had a brilliant long lunch yesterday at The Cube. Thanks to Stephanie, who met us at the door and went above and beyond to help us sort out a missing voucher issue that we had and Kristen who looked after us over the course of the lunch. These two, along with many other staff that we crossed over the afternoon, could not be faulted. Their service was fantastic. The meal was surprising and delicious and as always The d Arenberg wines were yum!

We attended the cube restaurant on Saturday 14 Sept 2019 and the entire experience of the food journey was absolutely amazing. We would personally love to thank veronica who looked after us with such professionalism, chante, Hannah and jb. Not to mention the awesome chefs Brendan and Lindsay. Once again thank you for making our day so very special. It was absolutely fantastic.

Definitely not worth it if you have children with you. $10 entry per child! Plus $15 per adult. I asked the lady at the desk what was there for kids if we were paying for them and she said the 3D movie would be good. It was just an ad for the winemaker really, so not suitable for kids at all. There was not even pencils and paper or books to keep the kids busy while we tried to taste the wine. The lady also didn t explain than the Dali exhibition was extra cost, or that there was no time to look at it anyway as We got rushed through a half tasting with the time left. Total waste of money, and the wine was either average or we were put off by the bad taste of feeling ripped off with $70 entry and no great tasting experience. Why there would be a entry fee for kids at a wine tasting is beyond me!

Was taken through a brief group wine tasting by a nice fellow who knew his stuff. Other than that, I found the Cube building claustrophobic, crowded and in poor taste, where the focus should be the wine and its production. The big Dali sculptures out the front, with their price tags and lists of sponsors on their mounts, didn't rock my boat. Still a big fan of this winery and what it makes, but the 'Cube' had an incoherent, corporate feel and I left feeling like I didn't learn much.

Excellent customer service and wine knowledge. Tasting room in the cube was great, views were spectacular.

Shout out to Adam who saw to our tasting. He was funny, knowledgeable and treated our group fantastically. Would recommend, don't be scared by the $10 entry fee they take care of you in the cube!

An eclectic display of disconnected curiosities inside an architectural marvel, from the mind of a man who is more of a decorator than a curator. To visit is worthwhile to take in the breathtaking view and to wonder/wander in the bizarre labyrinth of pop art and street art inspired displays. Some will love, others hate but it's certainly a strange miracle to behold.
