What a great local spot for families with kids! Our son is 2 and the animal area was definitely perfect for him. Some of the science area went a bit over his head but I think we will be able to enjoy this for many years to come.

If you go to Curiodyssey to see a zoo, you may be disappointed: there is one but very small. No good reason to go is the games of scientific discovery for children: even little ones will have fun and ask questions. Heaps of varied experiences, very well done workshops, I was pleasantly surprised and I do not see any equivalent in France (but I want addresses if it exists!).
My two daughters are 3 and 6 years old, but smaller children have fun too.
If you go to Curiodyssey thinking you are visiting a zoo, you might be disapointed: there is one but it is very small. The good reason to go there is the scientific area, where children of all ages will find all kinds of experiments. I was there with my two daughters who were 3 and 6 yo, but there were younger children who had lots of fun too.
I highly recommend it!

I would call this a smaller, more intimate version of the Exploratorium, with animals. I attended an event that was all about bubbles. Definitely geared toward younger children. Go enjoy a fun afternoon at Coyote Point Park and visit this fun learning center

Great spot for toddlers because it's outdoor zoo area is enough animal viewing for most little ones while the indoor interactive displays can keep the little minds entertained as well.
Safe parking will controlled access and playgrounds near the lots. Won't find that in SF.
Absolutely worth a membership as that includes a parking pass. Nice walking trails as well.

Nice zoo and kids museum. A lot of great features. Museum is not large but if you live nearby, its worth to get an annual pass. Surrounded with beautiful bay view, BBQ area and playground for kids.

This musuem is perfect for young kids. My toddler loved it. It's the little things like stools everywhere and little ladders by the exhibits. It was really nice that he could explore on his own without having to be picked up constantly. He was also fascinated by the compost microscope.

I have loved taking my young child here for years. We love the exhibits and the animals. But the science classes are the best! My daughter has learned so much here, very hands on, age appropriate, great teachers, everything you could want.

It was okay not fun for kids during these times of the supposed virus. Wish there were more animals. My kids got bored not worth the hour and a half drive. we drove more time getting there than in the actual park. Not to mention the pricey parking fee plus admission meh

The museum has a small indoor space with some interesting science stations for all ages. The outdoor zoo has some animals like racoons, fox, owls, and small reptiles. You could definitely do Coyote point and skip CuriOdyssey - the walking trail behind the museum is gorgeous!

Visited there but no animals were out in the zoo and could not see. My kids were disappointed and kept asking when they will come. However the science museum is really good and is nice place for kids to hangout with fun and learning.

Was here for a wedding and rating is based on that. Definitely not a good place for a wedding. It is architecturally built so that you cannot see other guests unless they are on your floor. Never mind seeing the bride and groom if you're not in their floor. Sound check was horrible as well. Could not hear speeches or music unless you were directly in front of the speaker. Getting up and down the levels made everyone's feet hurt. You would enter to the right but walk across the room to get the the 2nd level and then walk across that room to go up to the 3rd level. Did not enjoy being there for a wedding at all.

Our favorite place to take our two year old. The zoo is small, but still very interesting for kids, the activities and puzzles are captivating. She loved the fog machine, and of course the wind tubes :)

Great place for toddlers and little ones, my elementary age kids are about outgrowing it, but we had many years of fun with them when they were little. If you have a membership, parking is free - which is nice, to visit the big park too.

I m a wedding coordinator who had a wedding at CuriOdyssey. This is a very beautiful place for a unforgettable wedding. The view of the bay is amazing! All of our guests, including bride and groom were impressed with the ambiance here. I would recommend CuriOdyssey to our couples.

This is such a great hidden treasure on the peninsula! It's sort of a smaller scale Exploratorium plus zoo rolled into one, with great views of the bay and a beautiful event space that can be rented out.

Very amazing animals, each one cuter than the next. They are all friendly, and it's nice to know that they aren't just there to look at, but to engage people to know and understand. They are all rescued and better.

Fun interactive toddler friendly (still sophisticated ) science exhibits and urban wild animal touch and feel. Near bay marina, watch planes landing from real close. Playground and short hikes/walks nearby.

I was pleasantly surprised. It is small in area, but combines a small zoo, aviary, children DIY and science stuff. The location is great as well and there are several picnic spots around the place.

Great for kids! My 2 1/2 and 4 year old have a great time every time we go. We have a membership, which is totally worth it. The kids still discover new things every time, even though we have been there many times now.

This is a really great kids museum and zoo. All the hands-on exhibits are usable by a wide range of ages. The zoo is compact but has a good variety of animals. I think the highlight of the zoo area is the otter exhibit. It's really well done. On a clear day it's really good place for watching planes land at SFO and boats putter in and out of the harbor.

Zoo alternative. Kids will get more out of their visit here because it's one part zoo, one part exploratorium and one part playground. Outside air is really good but can be a little cold, young children should be bundled up. There is water play exhibits so bring extra clothes, members go through lines faster and parking can be tight so get there early. Go on a day you can attend all the live feedings.
