I left a less than stellar review on a customer service experience. They reached out to me about it to make it better. Seemed unorganized overall at first. It would be a lot better if they had customer callback options.

Need a piece of Dr. Approved, medically necessary equipment. I have a prescription to buy this equipment. But with BCBS in order to make the patient eat more of the cost than they should, they require the patient to rent the equipment for 3 months before you can purchase it at grossly inflated prices regardless of what the Dr. says. Our healthcare system is so unbelievably messed up.

Customer service? I can't get them to answer my calls. Coverage? I can't get them to give me a list of what and how I am covered. Get this, they for prescriptions they make you pay a copay. That's okay. However, they add something else called "co-insurance" (which doesn't mean what it would normally mean a decade or two ago), which thing triples the cost of the drugs I take. If you're diabetic, you are almost better off paying out of pocket for insulin, syringes, strips. They won't let you get a long term meter for your blood sugar -- not without being part of some kind of experimental program. A fancy way of saying no. Oy.

Since then I am on Ucare. Wow! Night and day!!!

Horrible customer service. Needing someone to explain why a Rx Id been paying $15 for suddenly went up to $70 but it s inpossible to reach anyone! They don t have an email address I can inquire about claims to and when I call the customer service number it just tells me that they re too busy to answer my call and then hang up on me. No option to wait on hold or request a call back. Total garbage.

Customer service is a joke. I can't believe how rude the customer service reps are, I have never had a pleasant one. I have to fight through the answering service for 10 mins to actually get a rep and then they act like I'm bothering them? I pay a lot for this horrible insurance alone and then the customer service acts like they want to die talking to me. I can never get my questions answered and I can never get an explanation of coverage. Recently they told me a doctor in Riverside was covered, so I went and guess what "out of network" bill arrives a couple weeks later. This insurance is a joke and worthless, can't wait to change insurances. Don't bother with them unless you like to be frustrated and throw your money away.

Worst customer service! Takes about an hour to talk to a representative and when you finally get on a call with someone they dont know the answer! They will tell you that you should get a call back with an answer but you never do.

They are always looking for a way out of paying!!! They would rather pay for daily visits to the Emergency Room, than pay for a wound care nurse to come out. They wont pay for the nurse visit as I am not home bound. I hope they enjoy paying for daily Emergency Room visits for the next 6 weeks.

Never thought I would rate an insurance company five stars, but here I am lol. I am new to the whole insurance process, so I had a lottt of questions. I called the member service number listed on the insurance card. Thankfully, their customer service rep was actually very patient with me, walked me through the whole process, and answered all of my questions.

I called today and at first spoke to a rep of BCBS of MN and I loved how kind and helping she was trying to be but then we learned that I had to speak with a rep from ND. All I could think is please don t let it be someone who doesn t want to help.

Well guess what...after being frustrated with the automated questions I finally got a rep. As I feared she was not like the previous rep. I can t help it that I don t know all insurance questions...that s why we call the hotline numbers right? Well anyways I asked my questions and when I didn t quite understand I asked if she could explain it to me differently and instead she just reread the same benefit explanation. Before doing so she even said... I m going to read it again. I was still a little baffled so I tried using examples to see if I was on the right page of understanding and she couldn t sound anymore annoyed and in a rush to get off the phone with me. When I stated an example towards the end instead of receiving any type of assurance that I may be on the right track she said ok anything else I can help you with, I said no and she said ok bye. I can t believe I just had this type of service and I rarely call our insurance...this is probably my 2nd time in my 13 years of having Blue Cross as my insurance and my question pertained to surgery services. I m so upset and disappointed. I just wish I remembered her name so I could call her out on here.
