Our children had an unknown infection. The doctor sent a sample to this hospital for analysis to find out which antibiotic to prescribe. The doctor tells us it takes 3 days to get the results And guess what? They lost the samples after 3 days of agony and nightmare !!! ??? Luckily we took our children to another hospital for treatment because waiting for the results our children could have died !!! Incredible but true.

Emergency it's not better for sure than in other hospitals. Was there with a horrible eye pain because of an accident, I couldn't literally keep the eye neither open nor close, it was a HORRIBLE pain. And with that pain I was waiting HOURS in the line and another hour and a half in the actual room (((( At the end the doctor was not able to give me the right medication as I returned at least 3 times after that visit and every time was the same story
The team of nurses and doctors who assisted us with the delivery of my second child was simply extraordinary, each of the members of this team offered us impeccable service. on behalf of my family, thank you very much, especially to Dr. Julie Beaulieu and the farmer Annick for her kindness and professionalism
It is not possible that we have been in the hospital since 3 pm and now the doctor calls us until 11 pm to tell us to go home my mother-in-law, her state of health is serious then it has nothing to do with covid 19 It's totally other symptoms but it's disappointing to know how a hospital can play with the lives of people like this.
I had an accident which caused a broken vertebra - I had a corset quickly, the food was good and the service too. I wouldn t say I would go back anytime, but I really appreciate the service and patience of the nurses and doctors
arrived in ambulance and 9.5 hours later did not see a doctor. as per staff ambulance is just an expensive yellow cab. so why does the ambulance service take you there in the first place? despicable.in the end walked out at 5:30am they should close this place and turn it into a zoo!
I gave birth 3 months ago in this hospital, the nurses and all the staff were just beautiful The surgeon the anesthesiologist I have an excellent memory of it and will remember it at all the birthdays of my casserole. Today the worst day I had a horrible experience with the emergency service my daughter five and a half years gastrointestinal symptoms ... 41 OF FEVER DIARRHEA AND VOMITING since two days . Once in the emergency room with her dad we give her the priority number, and despite that, she waits 5 hours to see a doctor barely 5 MIN to prescribe nothing! Me so afraid that the three month old baby is contaminated I call to ask for explanations. .. In the meantime! I point out that I was a tired mom. .. successive sleepless nights my child has not eaten riennnnn for more than three days complaining of her belly I see her torn apart before my eyes .and with a baby whom I especially don't want to be contaminated. Result. .. I call emergency service the person in question is just below the bar ... Neither way, not human, rude but rare. I did not expect her to treat my daughter by phone, if they could not do it while she is in front of them? I just needed someone who was pleasant, explains Prq, the doctor does not prescribe medication after five hours of waiting and more c hours of suffering? What if the drugs didn't help? I am not a doctor but I know that diarrhea vomiting can cause dehydration! How can a doctor not take his time with his surtt patients when it comes to children? 5MIN ARE THEY SUFFICIENTLY SUFFICIENT.?
The way that this person spoke to me showed me that we do not all work in professions out of love. Because when we love something, we go all the way ...
I know that a lot of people would be in more serious cases. It is not easy, ladies and gentlemen.
When you are sick, you expect attention, to see people working properly as she likes to do.
I just have advice for this kind of staff who don't know how to deal with desperate people. BE PLEASANT, DO NOT COST YOU ANYTHING. but will make you a beautiful memory by the person in question. I ended up calling 811 like the switchboard operator, I had a nice lady who supported my crying, for minutes she couldn't do anything to me from a distance, but she gave me power by her kindness and his friendliness. ..
And conclude that half of the healing can be psychic. ...
Avoid this hospital if you are lucky! - Personal (not all) are not nice. - - Some of them are negligent and they ignore the patients. - They give pills like candy. Most important !!!!!!!! - In EMERGENCY there are just 2 doctors 2 !!! Impossible to be served with 2 doctors in emergency. - It's not an emergency it's a horrible place. Like I said, avoid this hospital if you can!
Sat there for 12 hrs just to be told they lost my info and that I had to start all over again, worst experience of my life, somebody should honestly sue these people... AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS
More than 3 hours of waiting in the pediatric room stuck between delirious toddlers. True nightmare the little room! Patients arriving after and received before!
No empathy, lack of skill, endless waiting, forced to leave and go to private to see a doctor. We are told that the concussion is serious but in the hospital it is not the same story, it is not taken seriously by the nurses. Vomiting after a concussion they say it's a gastro, anything!
Poor telephone communication. The line was cut while we wait. I have tried several times but it is the same. I couldn't contact the department we want to talk to. We never come to this hospital.
Worse hospital, avoid it if you can. They say there are two doctors during the night hours, but the line doesn't move at all for 5 hours, there were some movements from 11pm to 12am and after it's just stopped (and I am monitoring not only my number but the whole line). It's my third time here and after each time I tell myself not to come here in the future, but the ambulance doesn't ask what hospital to go, and I am too sick and stressed in the beginning to tell them...
I arrived here by ambulance at around 12 noon on le jour de la st.Jean Baptiste it was very busy , I was having extreme pain from the left hip to the knee and after waiting 14 hours to b finally seen by a DR. who looked at the computer and said to me YOUR FULL OF OSTEOARTHRITIS ( I am 77 yrs old) I tried to tell him I knew that this extremely pain was new and that I already was on PRESCRIBED PAIN MEDICATION ,he totally did not listen to me and said I will prescribe you stronger pain medication and left that was it. I left in tears took a Taxi ( I usually get a Transport Adapter)but at 4 am that is not possible. In so much pain that morning went to another hospital in Emergency and within 1 hr.was seen by a woman Doctor I told her all that happened and she immediately sent me to Xray+ Scan and results were FRACTURED SPINE. L2 and L3. can you imagine the pain I was suffering,,,,,,, NEVER want to step into Charle LeMoyne. really its NOT THE HOSPITAL its the Doctors &staff that I blame .
There is no doctor for walking .They examin just patients come with ambulance. After 5 hours they just call 3 walking patients. 67 patients wait to visit doctor and a lot go to find another hospital. I NEVER COME HERE.
Charles Le Moyne Hospital is a shame. The emergency maintains its sad reputation of being the worst in Quebec. For over 30 years, no health minister has been able to turn things around. Medical staff and managers are very proud to maintain a culture of chronic mediocrity.
Aside from the fact that we have to wait forever for the crowds there are at this hospital (especially if we receive a code 3 or more). The service and care received once taken care of is really very professional.
I had surgery on December 27, 2017, a complete hip replacement. I cannot thank enough all the personnel who took care of me during my stay on the 2nd floor, this includes nurses, physio therapist and nurses aid and of course my orthopedist surgeon and his team. I followed all recommendations during my recuperation away from home and am finally home now to continue with physio therapy and am aiming to getting back to normal as quickly as I can. Thank you for your efforts and words of comfort and those warm blankets the day of the surgery!
I am presently in department B observations with a member of my family ..... there all their "ta ..." cellular ... are stupid and ineffective. They "PARK" the world with a tite-pill and "PREPARE NO QUESTIONS FOR OUR DERANGER ON OUR CELLS" !!!! Moreover, when the gastroenterologist does not even want to hear that there are probably other exams to find THE PROBLEM that last for months ... there is a problem!
AVOID THIS HOSPITAL UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE BUTCHERED OR DEAD . They almost killed me and my baby. To many stories of mal practice. They need to be sued and stopped as they are a poor excuse of the hospital and they dont take patients seriously. Terrible absolutely terrible. If i could rate zero stars i will.
We were not told anything from triage until observation. They take a patient who is struggling to walk to the toilet and don't check when he comes out. When patients have to help other patients because all the staff are on computers ... You know our health system is doing great
Faced with a neurological deficit, I quickly see that the first line is almost inaccessible. I arrive at the emergency, quickly proceed to my evaluation (<1 minute delay) My condition is reevaluated after a moment. After three hours I finally get the diagnosis, the treatment and the referrals for two specialists. As said, I would do without this episode acute but I am very satisfied with the emergency department and the outpatient clinic.
The lady at the appointment in the outpatient clinic is so stupid! I find it deplorable, I think of sick, vulnerable people, she receives us as if we were bothering her, speaks really shocked! She doesn't say hello, but says you will come back ... next week ... for 3 weeks .....
I had an accident today I stay until I am not Randu at my number has stayed 9 before me and it's been 12 hours I am there I hurt my back all over my neck to my heart and it hurts too much, they give me some taynanols I will leave and go to another hospital
This hospital has its issues but the personnel is really considerate and devoted. They saved my father's life on two occasions. The nurses and doctors were very professional and caring. He stayed in the cardiology section and in the observation section.
Wow I am really impressed. I walked in with extreme back pain from sciatica and although there is a long wait they decide to put me on a stretcher in a little room while I wait so I am more comfortable . I've been here many times before and never really received bad service but this time was awesome. Thank you
worst hospital colisse ever seen !!!! what mediocrity what im in foutisme !!!! want to see cleaning staff? it's the place !!! but do not seek nurses yet me of doctor !!!!!! I entered the trauma urgently and stabilized me in less than 20 minutes, and took her for observation! OBSERVATION? !!! the alarms of my monitors ring continuously! person !!! More than an hour ?! the emergency bell? forget that !!! they are blind !!! 20 hrs of waiting not even seen the cardiologist !!!!!!! and the most criss in all this !!! ??? always the same gang criss that goes around in circles while walking fast, to give importance! his return by a door his fate leaves another to go back in circles !!! meanwhile the .... my neighbor is in her breast and calls dams the butter ..... three times bravo !!!! animals are better treated than here !!!!!!!! and my case is far from being stabilized !!!!!!!!!!!
Of course the overpop in the middle is not the staff who has control over it but if your case is serious they will not let you down they mount to save the life last weekend all very nice and professional skilled I love them is not politicians are there to find what you have not wait i've been elsewhere before ..... rub death this weekend so for me it's felicitaion the releve is at this hospital and more for me it's 5etoiles +++
More than 15 hours to wait in the emergency room is nothing ... You have to be out of breath to meet a doctor ... Supposedly we are in the emergency ...
Every time i come there its always min 4h.They have 1 orthopedic specialist per day who receives patients and doing operations! What's wrong with this system?! Last time I came with my daughter with a broken leg to remove the cast, he even didn't check the leg of my daughter. Didn't give any reabilitation recommendations, nothing. Now she can't walk and the knee is enlarged. She is crying as she is in pain when she is trying to walk.
Terrible. Patients are treated like animals. I waited 12 hours with a very, very painful and serious kidney infection for nothing. I left because I could do more. The triage nurse had hit my kidneys too hard, and when More
To tell the truth it is a beautiful Hospital in general, the employees are often very friendly and the medical follow-up of the patients is excellent. But all this is especially after going through the triage phase (I would like to specify that the nurses in the triage are competent and they are much more often nice (them) and nice than nonchalant). However, you should know that going to the emergency room here is not the best idea. If unfortunately the triage nurse had to place you in priority 4 or 5, then get ready to wait in the waiting room for several hours. I am not talking here of 4 or 5 hours, but rather from 7 hours to 2 hours approximately. Not to mention that occasionally certain employee (s) can afford to speak to you with what I deem to be disrespectful. My 72 year old father was placed in priority 4 unfortunately, I went to see him in the waiting room of the hospital. He had already been there for almost 7 hours and hadn't eaten anything since. So I wanted to go ask at registration if it was possible to go with my father to eat something without taking the risk of losing our place. (So just a very broad approximate time of the time left). The employee answered me that she did not have this information in a tone rather irrelevant and that it is necessary to go to ask the nurses of the triage (Knowing that in the past in this same hospital I had made this request at the registration desk and that they had been able to answer me) So I asked him the question, telling him that even if the answer was very approximate it will help me make a decision. She answered me in a rather high and dry tone. "As I already told you, it's at the triage that you have to go and ask." The majority of the bad experiences I had at Charle le Moyne hospital were related to the unreasonable waiting time that I was forced to wait for me and my loved ones.
I came in with the mumps 2hours ago and I have been seen by the triage nurse whom was very kind and professional, the inscription whom took my information and rechecked with me after each bit to make sure it was correct, and I've been to the doctor where they have taken my blood and scheduled me for a scan. All staff is kind and considerate and I feel completely at ease and cared for as a patient here.
Worst hospital experience I've had. Took my wife here because of a suspected broken foot while on holiday from the UK. We waited for 6 hours, when I asked about the wait I was then told the average wait was 12 hours on a good day. We then walked out and decided to wait for treatment in the UK (probs quicker). I'll remember this experience before saying anything bad about our NHS service in the UK. Never before have I encountered such rude staff who care so little for the patients and their situation. Avoid this place at all costs unless you have a death wish.
Was coughing up blood but apparently that must be very low priority, after a full day of waiting I decided to go back home :( Shows you just how bad the public system is, go by ambulance or dont go at all
The waiting hours are appalling. We were, me and other patients yesterday all day in the emergency room and we were called to come back today. Hours of waiting again. Is it to cover his quota of patient attention per day? All the staff having fun and we like animals.
Horrible service !!! I went to Charles-Lemoyne by ambulance. In the ambulance, the paramedic took off my Michael Kors watch that my boyfriend had given me at Christmas (of immense sentimental value and great monetary value). The next day I realized that I no longer had my watch so I called Charles Lemoyne .. After that I introduced myself in person. The two ladies at the reception were extremely stupid and they were not really interested in helping me. It happened around May 2017 and I still haven't found my watch ... Also, the staff spend more time talking about their weekend than anything else! Terrible service, I hope I never have to go there again. However, the hospital security staff were extremely helpful so thank you for trying to help me.
Brand new emergency but an empty PSA shell of services on November 29th I entered at 300 pm it is now 2:00 am after 11:00 am and still sitting on the same accursed chair
I watched a video on Facebook from a lady who was kept in this hospital and her staff was keep giving her something that she was allergic to for 3 days in the row . Couple of days ago she did a video from her bed to request help to her community since she was not allowed to have visitors. Their people was able to take her to another hospital but Unfortunately she passed away yesterday. The only reason why she went to this hospital was because she had some paint in her foot. I think this hospital has to give some explanations about this to the family and friends of that nice lady. May her soul rest In perfect peace.
Came in with my 11 month old baby for a swollen neck. The wait wasnt too bad (5.5). When we finally saw the doctor they decided to keep her and put her on antibiotics (mind you it was about 4am). Well guess what? They forget to communicate within each other and they forgot about us in the exam room! When we finally got up to the pediatric floor they didnt offer anything for my baby, they showed us the room, asked me a bunch of irrelevant questions like "whats your religion?" and left. So now im sitting here with no clue of when we will get to go home or even a clue of whats going on. Oh and theres no installations for the parents to get at least a decent level of comfiness, i had to sit on the floor. That was one thing. Second thing, while we were waiting at the emergency room, a little girl threw up, poor her.. well 3 hours after it happened the puddle was still on the floor! Next to a spilled beverage of some sort. Gross. And in the exam room there was a bloody bandage on the floor. Gross. In the room theres trash from previous patients. Gross. And finally, i dont not generalize here because some of the staff members i encountered were really nice BUT most of them are just rude and unprofessional. Last time i come here. The end
They had no number system for wait times/order, you have to wait for your name to be called. had to stay in the waiting room for 9 hours without being able to leave for fear of missing my name.
The only reason I gave one star is because without a star you can't write a review. I hated this hospital when my mother died here in 1997 and I hated even more now that my brother is being treated here for cancer. This is the worse hospital ever. There is one in one hundred nurse that shows compassion. It is dirty and finding someone to help is a joke. His sheets haven't been changed in over a week....the floor was covered with water and is so dirty...you ask a nurse for something and you get the feeling you are bothering them.....if I had money I would transfer him to cancer for America in the USA. This is unacceptable and I will take his story and how poorly he is cared for to all the media's available.
Even a star is too much already but had to force to put one to express myself! It's the worst hospital I've seen in my life. The staff, the doctors and even the security guards are just as stupid and incompetent as each other!
Myself , my husband and 2 friends were is a car accident and taken to Hospital Charles-le Moyne by ambulance . We were all treated with kindness and respect despite our language barrier . We quickly were x-rayed for neck and back injuries and left feeling we have received excellent care.
I would give 0 star if I could. This is the worst hospital beyond your imagination. One male nurse in ER is horrible. I saw him kick the bed of one unconscious girl to make it move. When I ask him for a blanket, he was saying what does cold in English mean, then never come back. After 12hrs waiting with no exam, the doctor told me that he GUESS that my problem was something. Ridiculous!!!
I have nothing to say for me this establishment is good and for that I put a note of 5 star since the opening hours its good it is to say every hour and to employ its kind with the customers thank you for your attention
Being from Ontario and needing some assistance on August 7, 2019 around 9:30 a.m. I just wanted to say THANK YOU (Merci) to the Emergency department, especially a male nurse (Jean) and lady at Security for their professionalism and their assistance.
Very long service at the reception of the outpatient clinic. A hospital attendant speaks with the receptionist of the outpatient clinic. She tries to see a doctor when she doesn't have an appointment. The wait to see the doctor is very long despite an appointment. Very disappointing
They are barbarians !! Okay, not all of them, but the nurse who dressed my wounds did anything: apply an adhesive bandage to only half of the wound, with the adhesive stuck directly in the middle of the wound, and l '' other half of the wound not healed
In addition they gave me audible instructions, I do not know when or how to redo the dressings
Certainly Quebec hospitals are full of "surprises" ... What sadness
My daughter, her baby, and my adult son, have received very professional care, from doctors and nurses, support staff is also very much appreciated; Congratulations to the team and thank you to everyone.
BEWARE, this is the equivalent of a kill shelter for animals! They threaten to take people off life support, without any consent from the family. A special place in Hell is saved for the people running this place, and many of the poor excuses for "doctors" working here. Dr. Nguyen, specifically, is quite incompetent and useless, how he ever became a doctor is a mistery.
If I could give this establishment negative zero I would. If you are in pain, your condition may get worse when you go to this hospital. I was hospitalized in an emergency and stayed for a few days before having an urgent operation, I left this hospital traumatized. What about nurses without any skills, no level, no sense of humanity ... they think they are doctors while I must admit that the doctors who operated on me were excellent, even nicer and more humble than all the nurses their only hobbies are chatting with each other. I felt like I was in a chicken coop.
My husband Stephen had knee replacement surgery on Friday and EVERYONE at the hospital was wonderfull. From the time of arrival to release from the hospital we were treated with kindness regardless of the fact we are anglophones. My sincere thanks!!!!
Hello, this is the first time I went to this hospital to treat my 18-month-old daughter who could not eat and had a fever for 3 days. That said, we arrived at the hospital around 5pm and we had to wait 8 hours before it was examined. I am outraged that children (under 2 years old) and seniors (75+) are not prioritized as a matter of priority. My daughter had a priority code of 3 and I can understand that the codes 1 and 2 pass but when it is the turn of the codes 3, why a baby could not pass in priority on the other codes 3 ?? (shared by all patients in the waiting room)
There was also a 95 year old lady waiting in the hallway at the entrance for 12 hours. I find it inhuman!
I don't have the luxury of going to any other hospital in the event of an emergency as I live in the South Shore...but to anyone that can avoid this hospital GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Pretty dirty, extremely long wait times and unprofessional staff.
After waiting 11.5 hours in ER...you heard right 11 hours, they misdiagnosed my tendon injury and I ended up injuring 2 tendons as a result. I had to come back again...and schedule a surgery 3 months later. Total recovery time was 4 months + physio...all for something that could've initially been dealt with. I understand that people make mistakes, but they dismissed any and all of my concerns and incessantly repeated "Are you the doctor or am I?". I will say that half the staff is very professional...the other half not so much. There is no excuse for such behavior.
Virtually no parking space. It takes 20 minutes to go up to the 4th level. Secretary in pediatrics = beast like his feet. Tiny waiting room where we must leave our stroller outside. I have twins of 2 months that I have to hang out. I waited 2 hours to see the pediatrician (who is very nice for example, Dr. St-Denis). I am told that we will see with medical imaging if we can spend my son the same day. After 45 minutes of waiting, I told myself super stupid by the secretary to see that with the nurse ... finally I go down to medical imaging myself .. I'm told that in the background I was passing today but that it would not be right now .. finally I left and I asked to be called back ... 3h in the hospital for 10 minutes with a doctor with whom I had an appointment.
Disgusting. Frankly, cant even call this filthy place a hospital. Would give it 0 stars if I could. May Mireille rest in peace. And for the others, don't visit this hospital.
2 stars because after getting out of the wait, the doctors and nurses who were not in the emergency triage did their job well. On the other hand, no more, because after having been 4 times at the triage, they did not do their jobs decently for example: not to note in my file important information like my pregnancies, not to do ECG while came in with heart discomfort and so on. I understand that in emergencies there are many things to do and even very rude patients dear nurses, but you never have the right to neglect the patients, especially when they are honest and respectful with you. You could have put my health and that of my unborn baby at risk and I find it unforgivable.
The DIREST / DANGEROUS Hospital on the South Shore - the staff chat among themselves while having fun while emergency patients wait to be seen by nurses. The doctor spends max 30 seconds with the patient if you are among the lucky ones who are having a heart attack. Be ready to be put in dirty beds, full of VOMIT and BLOOD on the sheets, non-washed / non-changed blankets, SADDLES / EXCREMENTS on pillows, floors, tables, chairs that are sticky and smell throws up. Patients bawling, rolling on the floor in pain - Doctors and nurses laugh at the states of these patients, they call them good actors out loud. In the waiting room they will jump over several patient names by express to go faster and when they are caught, they will say that the microphone is not working, then put you at the end of the queue without further explanation. They misdiagnose patients often - more and more people ASK to leave the hospital by signing the request for treatment refusal - because the hospital makes them more and more sick and they are poached there in a dirty bed with awful pains.
In summary - Place very deguelasse, the horrors happening there, the staff must lose all their licenses soon and go to the BS where they belong. Must visit at Halloween - a real house of horrors.
The most DIRTY / DANGEROUS Hospital in the South Shore - the staff joke between themselves while having standing around having fun while the patients in the emergency waiting to be checked in. The doctor spends max 30 seconds with the patient if you are among the lucky ones who are having a heart attack. Be prepared to be put in dirty bed, full of VOMIT and BLOOD on sheets, non-washed / non-changed blankets, FECES on pillows, floors, tables, chairs that are sticky and SMELL LIKE MOLD AND BLOOD. Patients screaming, rolling on the floor in pain - Doctors and nurses laugh at the states of these patients, calling them GOOD ACTORS ALOUD. In the waiting room they will jump over more names of patients ON PURPOSE to go faster and when we catch them, they will say that the microphone does not work, then put you at the end of the queue without further explanation. They misdiagnose patients VERY often - more and more people ASK to leave the hospital by signing the application for treatment refusal - because the hospital makes them sicker and they get stuck in a dirty bed with the awful pains WITHOUT ANY MEDICATION.
In summary - HUMAN SLAUGHTERHOUSE, the horrors that happen there, the staff must lose all their licenses soon and BE SUED BY ALL THE PEOPLE THEY KILLED from unauthorized stop of life support / mistreatments / wrong meds / absence of meds. STAY AWAY.
