Meeting rooms are quite adequate and the hotel Wi-Fi was fast and stable.

Great service and the rooms were nice! Misti at the front desk was very pleasant and all around helpful.
Old building in need of upgrades but very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful with anything needed.
Visited for a bridal event. Great appetizers, table displays, and atmosphere.
One of the best nights sleep and very close to great love cal amenities. Staff is very friendly.
rooms were nice for our company conference. Had no issues with the temperature and there was plenty of space.
Clean, the soap smelled nice, nothing special, bit nothing terrible.
This was a great room! Frig to keep my waters cold, comfy king bed, and a short walk to the Dayton Festival! Staff was very attentive and nice. Cleaning staff did a great job of servicing the room each day. I would highly recommend this hotel!!
Checked in around 10pm as a stop over with 50 LB dog. $75 dog fee which is fine if the hotel was decent. Instantly found a live cockroach on the wall in our room on the 6th floor. An old cookie also on the flooor under a chair. Clogged drain the second you turn on the shower.
Food was good, beds were uncomfortable, shower didn't drain, and the door key only worked 1 out of every 10 times we used it.
Place needs TLC. First impression coming off the stairs from the garage was the sight of trash, dirt on the floor. Then when i got to my floor there was dirt, plant leaves and a beer can in the hallway. I can understand if it was being picked up but it wasn't. Classy.
I was only here for a conference, but the facility was nice, clean and modern. My only minor quibbles were they packed up the coffee bar a little early in the morning and the parking garage could be a little cheaper. Don't let this stop you from paying them a visit though.
Very rude, ignorant, and unprofessional employees and the general manager is always off site, hence never speak to patrons.
This hotel is in desperate need of a remodel. Encountered many issues during my stay. Arrived after midnight, checked in and went to the room only find out it was a conference room -- NO BED! 20 minutes later they were able to find a room with a bed. Housekeeping did not clean the room of another member of our party. When we received the invoice for the room, the room rates were incorrect. So many problems. Halls are dark and dingy, over the hotel doesn't feel clean.
Love the atmosphere and the live jazz set but was totally shocked by the bill for just drinks! Be aware, be very aware!
The rooms were very nice and the food at the restaurant was great! There were a few issues, for instance the elevators were having all sorts of problems. One had no lights to indicate which floor u stopped on, and another refused to stop on our floor. We pushed the button for that floor and it just kept skipping it, so we ended up taking the stairs, carrying our luggage mind u lol. Other than the elevator issues I liked it.
This hotel is a reasonable urban respite. The team is excellent, courteous, and knowledgeable. The facilities and appointments are dated but kept clean. The penthouse bar, club, and meetinghouse have a fine view of dismal downtown Dayton. I did not stay overnight so cannot judge the sleeping rooms. Parking in the evening was not bad. I found on-street parking. Entrance to the parking garage is odd and poorly labelled.
Location of the hotel is convenient, the hotel and its staff are just ok
Not w bad place to stay. Considering the city, excellent. Only drawback was our toilet kept clogging up and the windows were pretty filthy (but the bed was comfy and shower was nice... And the purpose of a hotel is to sleep and bathe!).
Beautiful hotel with an amazing restaurant up top with great food, loved it, wish i could have stayed longer.
First thing first: The staff here are all great, and do their best to accommodate guests. That being said, this place is really beginning to show it's age. It's not a terrible hotel, it's just old. So appliances in the rooms tend to break, drains get stuck closed, etc... Dayton is a small city, so it's not too much of an inconvenience to just stay in a newer Holiday Inn a few miles away from downtown. Outside of a renovation, I'm not sure I can recommend this hotel to many people. It is connected to the Convention Center via Skywalk, so I guess the location is convenient for anybody in town for a conference. Parking is free, but you'll need to stop by the front desk every time you leave to have your ticket validated.
Rooftop restaurant breakfast had a beautiful view of the city
We visited the restaurant/bar. Service was great and server Michael was excellent. We were a party of 10 and everyone said they would visit again.
I just park in the parking garage beside it. Google thinks I've been there, so yea. But I'm sure it's a nice place. Probably has some rooms, maybe a pool, a free breakfast, you know, hotel stuff. But then again, maybe it's not a hotel. I didn't research it. It might be office. If that's the case, I'm sure it's nice too. Probably has some rooms, probably no pool, probably some vending machines or a microwave to heat up your breakfast that you paid for.
I went to a relative's birthday here. The food that was catered was to die for, but I'm not sure if that came from the hotel or a third party caterer.
The hotel itself was beautiful, but the rooms we used for the party were not laid out efficiently by staff, and the event was understaffed. The guy who was supposed to be serving drinks from the open bar was almost never there... We ran out of plates for the cake. Still, it was a lovely party.
Had a shoot at the MVTA karate classes and banquet. Manager on duty was just ok. Kept pestering me about needing the smaller room and the flooring removed with the trophys. I was just the photographer so I'm unsure why he pestered me so much. Food was good but we roasted in the banquet room. Would have liked the air conditioner to be turned on.
A decent hotel. Desk staff was nice and whatever job 'Fred' has did a nice job providing some directions and info about the town. Made me actually excited to be in downtown Dayton.
Hallways and room we're dirty, felt more like a motel. No valet and confusing parking. Not worth the $150
Have stayed here many times over the past 7 years.
Staff: The staff are all very helpful. The lobby area is kept very clean.
Parking: the parking is really the biggest downfall for staying here. There is a parking garage that is separate from the hotel which makes it really inconvenient. However, they do validate your parking, making it free of charge. There is a any way that also connects you to the garage if you choose from inside the second floor of the hotel.
Rooms: The rooms are okay, they could use remodeling and refreshing but they are suitable. The hallways could really use some refreshing making them brighter and more welcoming. Would really help. The bathrooms and amenities provided are good.
Room Service/Food and Bar: The menu and the foods provided by the room service and rooftop restaurant are good. Of course, you are paying for convenience so the prices are not what I would consider great. The biggest issue is that there is nothing else really within a comfortable walking distance that you would want to go best in place of. There are some delivery options available from outside/3rd party food establishments.
The staff were incredibly helpful during my short stay there. The hotel is close to the Oregon District's restaurants which is nice. My room was clean and comfortable. Sure, a little dated (though not THAT bad) but not nearly enough to detract from the experience.
Hotel is nice but worn. Each time you park in garage, you need to validate ticket which can be an inconvenience if you are in and out a lot. Nice rooftop restaurant with great views.
The hotel is run down and has mice and roaches. Don t waste your money.
The weekend music by Shawn quartet is classy addition to downtown. It is a hidden gem.
Clean room. Hotel bar was nice, friendly staff. Bathroom was a bit small, but shower was nice.
Not the leave of service or food I expect at a Crown Plaza
I didn't have any issues or complaints aboit my stay
Nice rooms, professional staff. We always enjoy our stay there.
The dinning room is nicely decorated. The food was great & the wait staff was professional, curtious, and personable.
Was only there for a few hours, but was nice. Great big room for conferences.
Very professional make sure your comfortable.Pricey but worth it.
Near a lot of restaurants. Nice hotel. Amenities vary slightly from other Crown Plazas. Nice Restaurant and bar with great views of the city.
Conveniently located. Staff is friendly and available. Very clean. The conference rooms were clean and spacious as was my private room.
The bathrooms had no fan, so it would get really steamy and if you opened the door afterwords to let the steam out the smoke detector would would start making an annoying sound.
Great rooms. Walking distance to Oregon district. Service very good
Well kept for an old hotel. Unfortunately, it noy located in the safe part of town.
Room was nice and clean. It would have been nice if breakfast was included with our rate. There are not a lot of food choices in winter walking conditions. Great access to the convention halls and free hotel parking is a plus.
Staff was very nice but the hotel and tons were dingy!
Great place to stay in Dayton. I'll be back when I return. Very courteous staff every where in the building.
Clean, comfortable, up-to-date rooms. Friendly staff. What more could you ask for?
The hotel may be a bit old (it shows), they have a very friendly staff, fairly reliable wireless internet, good hot water, and comfortable beds.
One room had bed bugs. There were roaches in our room and twice (two different days, two separate times) a bartender killed a roach walking on the bar. But the staff was great and the bed I finally got was comfortable.
The only reason I give it one star is because of its close proximity to the Smokin' BBQ restaurant which.was great. I stayed at the Crowne Plaza for 15 straight nights from mid September 2018 to the beginning of October 2018. Had I been allowed to, I would have checked out and got a different hotel but my employer told me this was where I had to stay and to make it work. The first night my toliet kept running. The next day the maintenance guy there checked it and said it needed replacement so they would have to put me in new room. No big deal and I appreciated how quickly they resolved that problem. Then was the beginning of the horror. I woke up in the middle of the night on the 3rd night to use the restroom. I turned the bathroom light on and was horrified by infestation of roaches crawling everywhere in the bathroom. They were running on the tile floor, in the sink, in the tub (that was the worse), and coming out from behind the wall paper (I suspected that the wallpaper glue was there main food source). I couldn't sleep the rest of the night. The very next morning I asked for a new room. The front staff apologized and said that was gross. I agreed. The next night I was woke up at 4am with the sounds of what I thought was glass breaking of the room directly above me. It was non stop for 10 minutes. I finally thought it most be a fight or someone freaking out and destroying their room so I called the front desk. It rang and rang but nobody answered. So, I put on my cloths to go down to the front desk to tell them in person. I opened my door to find firefighters in full gear walking the halls and I noticed the fire alarm lights flashing (no audible alarm). I walked by a fire fighter and asked him what was wrong and he said there was a legit fire on floor 3 above me that I needed to immediately evacuate. Apparently the noise that awoke me was the fire fighters on their latter trucks outside smashing in the window in order to rip out the AC unit of a room that caught on fire. Weird that there was no audible fire alarm going off at the time...... So after one hour on the street outside I was eventually allowed back in to my room only to find that the audible fire alarm was finally on. It was so loud you couldn't be inside your room. They apparently had reset the alarm system floor by floor to it off. That took about 1 hour so I and half the hotel guests had to wait in the lobby for them to shut off the audible alarm (that again didn't start "working" until after the fire was out and we were allowed to re-enter the hotel). So, that was that. So the next night in my new room I woke up again in the middle of the night to find another swarm of roaches all in the bathroom. I told the front desk and they apologized and said it would be noted. When I came back from work in.the evening, my room was clean but there were still a couple of roaches crawling around in the bathroom. I went down to tell the front desk. They checked the system and there was no "note" in the system advising of the roaches problem. I said well you got an incompetent overnight desk clerk because I can assure you I complained about it. They apologized and said they will spray in there. Long of it is, every single night for 14 nights there was an infestation of roaches. I was in Room 114 and Room 112. If you are offered these rooms in next few weeks I would not take them. They most have a serious bug problem in this hotel as it's the only thing that makes any sense on how sorry they were for it but at the same time they really never did anything about it. So, I put all my dirty cloths from the time spent on this business trip from this hotel in a garbage bag. When I get home I am throwing these cloths right in my garbage can with my luggage. I have no doubt if I looked there will be several live roaches in my cloths or in my suitcases.
*Upgraded them to 2 stars due to them following up with me on my stay there.
Really enjoyed my time here. The hotel was actually really cool to see. Yes it was old, but not in a bad way, but in a classic way. You are very very close to food and bars. Would recommend.
I stayed in room 1217 and it was gross. There was a terrible odor coming from either the bathroom or the air/heater, crumbs on the bed, the shower curtain was stained, and there was a used mask I noticed on the floor behind the desk. I was so scared I was gonna get bed bugs from this place Lol. Definitely not worth the price or the $250 "hold fee" they put on your card until you checkout. The only good thing about this place was the wifi and the cable.
Beds Ok, Power Outlets in bathrooms old (if you try to plug an appliance in, it merely falls out. As of July 26th, both treadmills broken but they do have 2 outdated ellipticals and no real privacy for the fitness center door.
Friendly staff that is all about being helpful and rooms are mostly clean - but are a just starting to look dated to where the caulk around the tub is stained and the grout in the tile is as well (guessing early 2000s for last full remodel?). I also felt the lighting was only okay and also felt a little dated and dark. The AC was "okay" quiet, but even with the fan set to "on" it turns off and on all night and the coolest you can turn it is 65. I like to sleep at 62. It also feels more like 70-72 so I'm not sure it's working well (maybe it's just me). There are no USB outlets next to the bed - which seems fairly standard with most hotels I stay at - but there is a couple outlets on the nightstand. The view at night was lovely (see pic)
Parking is across the street and down, at the convention center lot - which is okay, but felt a little unsafe to me at night (probably just the country boy in me).
The gym is nice and has seemingly good equipment (I'll know for sure in the AM) but it's located next to the front desk and has a window towards the street - so of you don't like being seen when working out - this may be prohibitive.
Last thing is that at the top of my floor (3) there is a CCTV security system just sitting in the hall - which looks very tacky. Glad to have the security, but common.
All in all its a good deal for the price, but will need an overhaul in the next few years.
Great location is the key to this hotel and the only reason it goes to 2 stars. Centrally located in the city it definitely doesn't take long to get anywhere. Bed comfort was ok for the King. Nothing special about the room. Cleanliness is to be desired. A lot of poor quality workmanship on repairs and or attempted updates give the places dingy old feeling. This is especially noticeable in the small bathrooms. Housekeeping service is weak. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Restaurant was ridiculously slow then completely overlooked the steak I ordered. On a good note, their fried sauerkraut and assuage balls were good.
Downgrading my 5 star to a 1 star. How hard is it to email someone a receipt? Literally been waiting 30 minutes now for the email at a FedEx. Incompetence is not something I have patience for. Had to call twice to make sure they got my email right and STILL no email. Definitely sticking to Marriott hotels.
Only hot water no cold. Out dated seems kinda dirty
The Crowne Plaza provided a wonderful day for my first bridal expo. The staff was all very kind and greeted us warmly.
Nice hotel. Easy access. Clean, comfortable rooms. Good value for Government rates.
The restaurant on the top floor, overlooks downtown Dayton. The view is beautiful and the environment peaceful. It was a lovely experience.
Good home, pretty nice room and clean, the bath room prope but the furniture of the washbasin date a little. For a Thursday night in the city center, there was no activity, 8 pm some good restaurant open, the streets were deserted, no pedestrians, no car, a ghost town.
Good place to stay when you are attending the Dayton Hamvention.
Had a decent stay here. Good clean hotel and nice view.
We ate lunch at the View 162. The view was excellent and we were able to enjoy it as the staff seated us next to the window. The food was above average and the prices were very reasonable. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Dayton.
Nice rooms, it's acroos the street from the world famous Gilly"s nite club, and just two blocks from Dayton's also famous Oregon District where you can a buffet of entertainment.
Super nice staff! Older hotel with terrible parking!!!
