Easy check in and check out, very friendly staff. Honestly had an issue with shower plumbing and within 15 minutes had it fixed by their plumber. Was during the day, had no late night issues. Warm cozy bed, fridge, tv, great view from our 9th floor corner room but no microwave in our room.

Nothing that we thought it would be!!! We had thought breakfast came with the room but after we ate what looked to be a simple breakfast the young lady said $34.00. When i called the front desk about breakfast she NEVER mentioned it wasn't complimentary. We could have went out 2 eat & really enjoyed ourselves

The room was decent, there was a used bar if hotel soap in the shower and housekeeping was rude. There were DOZENS of ants in our bathroom this morning. They sent someone from maintenance up to spray and then had housekeeping clean (note the tv was on when arrived back at the room and the channel was changed when we had turned the tv off before leaving ). Also, we have a small child so I was not thrilled about the spraying and their inability to move us to a new room.

Had a great experience at the Crowne Plaza in Dayton Ohio! The only thing we had a problem with was the wait for the elevators so we had to take the stairs to the 4th floor at times. Other than that the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable and clean.

My boss said he had to go through he'll in order for them not to charge his account using my business card only to show up to have them charge my card anyway. They need to get their reservations in order. Other than that it was a real delight with plenty of extras in the room.

This is the second visit to the Crowne Plaza Dayton and I really enjoy staying there. The only downside is they do not offer complimentary breakfast. The restaurant is overpriced mediocre but has a great view.

We spent a week here and it was fine. The staff here is really nice and they are eagar to please. The night staff did drop the ball when we asked for someone to come plunge our toilet in the middle of the night and nobody ever showed up. The facilities themselves were starting to look dated. Our room had water stains on the ceiling and walls. Also, our toilet leaked occasionally. Overall, I would recommend it if you need to be in that location near the convention center.

This is a hotel which has seen better days. I stayed at this hotel several times in the mid-aughts and found it to be exactly where a Crowne Plaza should be...a solid 4 stars. But now it's barely a 3 star. Let's start with the check-in counter. While I was greeted immediately upon stepping up to the counter I was alarmed at how unorganized and cluttered the counter & the space behind are. It all looked like something out of a $39/night Motel X off the freeway. Add to that the fact that I was not recognized as a member of the IHG rewards program nor given any information about what benefits this afforded me.

After checking in I went out to my vehicle, parked directly outside the (glass) doors of the front lobby and waited for a valet. I noticed what looked like a valet desk in the lobby (from my vehicle) so I went in and asked if I could be helped. He said "Sure, where's your car?" My car was 10 feet away outside the window from which I had noticed him! Once I pointed it out he said "You know you can park for free, right over there?" and pointed to a garage in the distance. This for me was enough since he obviously didn't want my vehicle or tip. So I parked in the distant garage.

Onto the room...and the carpeting and wallpaper of even the top floor, which is what my rewards membership afforded me, creates a feeling of the walls closing in. There is no feeling of spaciousness or comfort when walking down the halls. However, the room is just fine. It is the only thing that is up to the standards of a Crowne Plaza hotel. Clean, well maintained, moderately up to date, minimal issues with mold in the shower, comfortable bed/pillows/linen. Ultimately that is what I stayed here for so I didn't knock my rating down to a 2 star. But it cannot overcome the poor service/ front lobby/ valet/ front desk short-comings.

I *had* to stay here, since my business trip at the Convention Center was linked to the hotel's discounted rate. This may have been a great hotel "back in the day," but those days are gone now. The lobby interior needs some repairs and aesthetic upgrades. It reeks of Golden Days Gone By, but looks chintzy now. My room was "eh," with two major complaints - the drainage system of the sink and tub/shower took FOREVER to drain. Great way to get foot fungus by showering in standing water. I was glad to be out of there. One plus were the workers - very helpful and nice. Helped me with parking validation and how to get to the parking garage.

The room was nice, but the lady at the desk acts like our check-in was bothering her, the kitchen got two burgers completely wrong, and the shower in our room had globs of hair stuck to the walls. Oh yea, and the curtains don't move to cover the window, so we had to get up with the summer sun at 5:30!

Worst customer service. It takes them days to get stuff fixed. My bathroom exhaust doesn't even work. Remote went missing when I came back from work. Was given a microwave 24hours later after I requested it. And when I was trying to make reservations no one was picking up the phone. Only good part is the shuttle and people working at that. Management needs to get on top of these issues. When someone is paying you over $120 per night for 7 nights they expect normal reasonable service. Will not recommend this place to a friend.

An older hotel but well run. The room was clean and comfortable. The fitness center adequate though not really what they describe on the website. The restaurant/longue was passable, with good staff but high prices for unimpressive fare-- good luck finding a vegetarian or vegan option too. However the location is perfect and the staff couldn't be more efficient and polite.

Outdated rooms

Outdated rooms
Air conditioning that doesn't work
Meanwhile it is 4 degrees outside!
Clogged sink!
I do not recommend staying here period
Changed my room. At 2 in the morning
Front desk lady addressing me with the word Honey!
I told her I am not your honey
Teach your staff how to.handle the situation professionally
By apologizing and knowing how to address guests
And on top of all that slow Internet!

No Stars! But you have to give at least one to post your review for the Crowne Plaza Dayton, Ohio!! Location is great! However, it was the worst hotel, I've stayed in hands down! When the best part about your stay is the Valet parking(5 Stars for Valet) that hotel is bad!!! Stayed here 8 days due to house being remodeled. 6 of the 8 days had to ask multiple times to have room cleaned!! Attempted to dine upstairs be ready for a long wait to eat some below average food!! I would never tell a friend, relative, cousin, coworker or anyone to stay there..... Words cannot describe my disappointment. If you have read the review this far and are wondering why we stayed for 8 days we were locked into our stay by priceline!!!

It was hard to find the parking garage here, though complimentary. 3.5 star rating was very generous, I would say its a 2 or 2.5. It was a dim walk at night to get to the hotel in the skywalk, they could have had better signage of where check-in was located, it was a worn area, not quite the "welcome" you want to a hotel. The staff was very polite.

Elevators were in varying states of disrepair during our conference in fall 2019. Some members of our group got stuck one night. Another morning, we had to climb the stairs to the 13th floor for breakfast. That said, staff were very friendly, especially the breakfast team upstairs.

Outdated and small. Weird smell in the rooms. The toilet is basically in the shower because the bathroom is tiny. Everything looks like it s from 1983 and the elevators stop at random floors because they re also 40 years old. 0/10 would recommend it

This hotel is the MOST DISGUSTING hotel I ve ever been in, in my life. There are motel 8 s nicer than this place. Not worth the expensive price! Looks like the hallways haven t been vacuumed in months, same with the bedroom floors! The shower had hair all over it and looked like it hadn t been cleaned before we came. There s dust everywhere. Considering how dirty our room was, really makes me nervous about the cleanliness of the bedding! Do not stay here.

Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom. Bathroom fixtures and grout appeared to be new. Coffee pot, hair dryer, and iron in room. Walking distance to Schuster Center and many restaurants. Parking in the Convention center garage complimentary and connected to hotel by enclosed walkway. Decor probably dates to the 1980'S and so is a bit worn. Overall, a good value for the money.

My experience with Crowne Plaza Dayton is mixed. The rooms have some wear and tear, especially the bathroom and the hotel should consider moving the sink from the bathroom and separate it from the shower and toilet area in rooms with double beds which would allow for more comfort in getting ready. Also, the entrance to the parking garage was a complete mess. My wife and I had to pickup and carry out stroller with our 2 year old toddler in order to get back and forth from the hotel to out vehicle. The hotel needs to consider building a ramp instead of a very tiny handicap elevator which didn't look safe.

The hotel is very nice but the rooms are a little worn in places. The food, both in the restaurant and room service is very good. The staff was all very friendly. We had set up a wedding block and so also has contact with the event sales staff. They were great to deal with. Overall, the hotel did a good job of making sure that we and our guests were taken care of.

Great experience with my kids at Thinktv. We enjoyed our time, specially my kids. There was an activity about Denial Tiger. There is a nearby parking lot and parking cost is $5 when there are activities at Thinktv or Dayton Convention Center. Walking from parking lot to either places don t require crossing street(s) and mostly inside, there is a covered bridge between parking lot and Thinktv building.

I highly recommend attending any activity done by Thinktv, and I will definitely return again to this place.

The staff was friendly, but the hallways and our room were dirty. The room was small and the king bed left me with a back ache. The bathroom had been partially remodeled (newer counter and faucet fixture), but the rest of the room needed renovated as well. We stayed at this hotel because if the proximity to the convention center. Otherwise, we'll look elsewhere next time.

We enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal here that was really good. The turkey was flavorful and moist. The sides were also full of flavor. The atmosphere was quiet, relaxed, and calming. The staff was wonderful, especially our waitress.

Welcome to the Armpit of Dayton Ohio. Stay away from this hotel if you are part of any kid sports tournaments. Absolutely the worst hotel stay for a kids soccer tournament. Rooms are filthy and outdated. Bathroom toilets and tubs not scrubbed for weeks. Valet service??? They'll park your car, but you better be ready to retrieve it yourself. Housekeeping??? Non-existent... we had no room tidy during the day and had to wait 3 hours for fresh towels after request to front desk. Amenities??? Non-existent... Kids are confined to room or banquet room. Customer service??? Impossible to find people that are willing to ensure and happy comfortable stay... I usually do not have too high expectations of a hotel. Just keep it clean and provide basic services. This hotel failed. With no amenities and only 1 family restaurant within walking distance... Stay Away from this Hotel.
