This hotel is nice and has great views from the restaurant which is on the top floor. This hotel is pet friendly for dogs up to 35 pounds; there is a $75 pet fee per stay.
Parking is available either using valet ($15 fee) or parking garage (free, they validate).
The reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was a bit difficult to take my dog out, there isn t pet stations (with dog bags) but there are trash cans. Have to take the elevators and go out the front which can be overwhelming when there s a lot of people in the lobby congregating.

Very old hotel rooms, dark interior definitely hasn't had any updates. Small Refrigerator in room. Nice to be connected to convention center, great staff and valet service. Free Milk and cookies at night which is a nice touch.

The room was very dirty, bathroom was old, and the toilet paper was a 2 ply light form of sandpaper. Bar on the 12th floor was nice (great view) but the food was bland. 2 stars thanks to the guest service and bartenders which were very nice.

I attended a training seminar in one of the conference rooms. My first impression was that the carpets were very old and worn and quite stained in the halls and in the conference room.

Staff was courteous and the restrooms were nice and clean. It is too bad I got an initial bad impression, because all other aspects of the hotel seemed very nice.

After navigating the poorly marked parking, we arrived at the front desk to check in. We were pleasantly greeted and asked if we were part of the wedding party, which we were not. I asked if we were put in a room near the group and the clerk said that we were not marked as such so we would not be. At about 11:00 p.m. the wedding party returned to the hotel and we quickly realized that we had in fact been placed in a room that was surrounded them. They were very happy, excited, drunk, and full of energy. We were happy for them, but at 12:30 p.m. could not ignore the cheering and yelling. I had first tried calling the front desk but was not able to reach anyone, instead the phone just rang and rang. We packed our bags and went to the front desk to ask for another room. When we arrived at the front desk we found that the person working the desk was not wearing a mask. We explained the situation and asked for another room. What we were given was a smaller room and the offer of "points" to use at a later date. Nothing more was ever offered to reconcile the easily avoidable situation by placing the wedding party in a block together and our room, which was booked nearly a month in advance, in a different area of the nearly empty hotel. The hotel is dated and small, but I would gladly take any aesthetic as long as I can enjoy a peaceful nights sleep.

Feels a little old and worn. In hallways you can see water seeping thru from a leak from above rooms. Last time I was there when I walked in my room the mirrored closet door was off the track. Easy fix but why wouldn't housekeeping report it and have it fixed before a guest checks in. Complimentary Chocolate Chip Cookies are the best!!

Very well located, right downtown with several restaurants and breweries within half a mile and it has an indoor tunnel to the conference center across the street. Staff was very nice and helpful. Parking requires a short walk across the street but they have lanes to leave your car while you unload/load your things. Rooms are well kept but a bit dated, and the bathroom is poorly organized in my opinion-- the toilet is almost touching the tub.

Would not recommend staying here. Understaffed, and not very accommodating. I booked a room with double beds and was given a king bed room. As an IHG member I asked for my room upgrade and was denied that as well. Not to mention upon check out I went to get my parking garage ticket validated and was STILL charged for parking. I went to the front desk to get a refund and they claimed that they couldn t do anything. Save your time and money and find a different hotel.

This was the worst hotel I ever stayed in! Toilets didn't flush, air conditioners froze up overnight, my room was moved twice, the tub was dirty and room was not properly cleaned. Any time you see hair from someone else that tells me the rooms have not been cleaned properly. Closet doors inside the rooms were broken. I came in on a business rate, but I wouldn't even pay the discounted rate. Do NOT stay here if you visit Dayton. I was highly upset and disappointed. The best thing they have going for them are the conference and meeting rooms.

The Crowne Plazza is absolutely amazing! They were so friendly and very accommodating when came to a situation we had. We were babysitting and they helped us out so much. They have amazing service and here they go above and beyond expectations. It s an understatement to say they deserve 5 stars. They deserve so much more!

The Crown Plaza was a great hotel.... about 20 years ago. You can tell that at one time this was a jewel in Dayton. Sadly it's very neglected now and in dire need of a renovation. The staff tries very hard, and they were very helpful, but they know that they are not able to get this hotel back on its feet without some reinvestment by corporate. The rooms are incredibly dark and run down. The bathroom door had been painted over so many times that it stuck shut and had to be forced open and closed with great noise. The in room refrigerator was dead and the replacement wasn't much better. In the 6 days of stay, I only encountered the valet once, spent most of the time retrieving my own car from the lot after getting the keys from the front desk staff. I feel bad for the staff but I highly recommend that you stay in a more modern hotel until this one gets a makeover. It could be beautiful again but it needs serious attention!
