WOW! That's the best way to describe my experience with Nick Golob and Crowne Mortgage Company. Preapproved with the bank that held my mortgage (Dewey Requim and Howe Savings and Loan) we put our house on the market (Ristau Reality, Weichert Company). Two days later we received enough attention that we sold for more than our asking price and had six(6) weeks till closing, with no where to move (still looking), stay, or store our furnishings and pet. When we found our next dream house (I must have been dreaming) it left me with little time to secure my mortgage and get the deal closed. Three weeks to go Dewey Requim and Howe said FORTY (40) days to be safe , but maybe THIRTY (30). Well my realtor had a connection, but no! Twenty-five (25) days. I was putting more than 50% down for goodness sake. With eleven (11)days to go again my realtor calls to give me direction to contact Crowne Mortgage Company. "They have come through for me in the past but for whatever reason they only come to my mind when I face these situations". After a cordial reception with Nick on the phone I had a good understanding of what I needed and then I dropped the bomb. Nick I need to close in well two(2) weeks! Nick responded with "we specialize in a TEN (10) business day mortgage process. How soon can you get me this information". Ah yes COVID, right. No I had done my homework and had nearly all the information and copied at my finger tips. I drove out to Oak Lawn in the middle of the night and dropped off the materials (mail slot ). I was impressed with the building and felt that these are people of sustenance. They also hold the mortgage papers for it's entirety. I have had the experience of being turned down for a mortgage only to have them buy it at a later date from the mortgage company who did approve of you. Rubs me the wrong way. All this happening during a time when there is a great demand for refinancing and of course COVID. Kudos to Crowne Mortgage Company. Ten (10) days and and Columbus Day was in there somewhere. My attorney Brian Kusper (Storino Ramello Durkin) was impressed with how engaged and responsive the loan processor Monique Cid, and the staff were. Oh yeah my rate 2.875% on $150,000. Promises made promises kept. Thank You Crowne Mortgage Company.
