Very unprofessional attitude from the security and the reception.
We were asked to not talk in our room before 10 PM because it disturbs the adjacent room.
They did not accept to even move our room. They just kept asking us disrespectfully to keep it low.
Canterbury Resort is the biggest spam in Canada. They target older people and single moms. They cheat you into their so-called travel programs and then rapidly increase the management fee. When you check the service and product you get, it is barely worth your yearly fee. The huge lump sum you pay upfront was eaten by them. When you realized it and want to file a return, they tell you it is impossible. You have to pay for 99 years! Then, there are people who work with them under the table telling you they can help you out of this spam, but they run away after you pay. They never answer your phone nor reply to your email again! Canterbury Resort and everything related to it is hell!
Collingwood Ontario, Living Stone resort is awesome! Clean, attractive town! Kind citizens. Lovely facility, neat recreation center for all ages! Lots to see and visit in town. Plenty of eating places. Everything one needs for a splendid vacation.
We come here as part of our timeshare exchange. Great location that's close to everything in Collingwood. The rooms are clean and maintenance is fast to help you. The pullout sofa bed is uncomfortable so bring an air mattress instead! The fireplace is a nice touch in the winter. WiFi is great and private per suite. Some of the TV's don't have HDMI.
Friendly breakfast and dinner staff, beautiful rooms, amazing front desk and consierge. Pool was very nice, and living water spa was amazing. Can t wait to come back in the summer and see the golfing.

Poor management. We were a group of four, having dinner in our room and security came up asking us to keep it down because they d received noise complaints around 9:30 pm. There was no music, no large party, no loud noise at all, just talk. We offered to change rooms for other people s convenance, but the hotel refused. It was very unreasonable and disrespectful of the management to do this at that hour. We were being perfectly well-behaved guests and had the right to eat our meal in peace and enjoy our stay. We even complained when checking out and all we got was too bad !!! Never coming back or recommending this place to anyone.
I own timeshare at Cranberry for life. And it's like a life sentence. We used to enjoy going up there and spending our week at the resort. But now they are now keeping it up. We have one building that is for the original timeshare owners and it keeps going downhill. Here are a few of our experiences from last summer....
There are two TVs in the suite and only one remote control
No hand towels or face cloths, only bath towels. And they tried to charge us when we asked for and ordered hand towels and face cloths.
No placemats for the dining room table, there used to be placemats.
Only one toilet paper had to order more.
There were two mismatched chairs and no small table on the balcony to put down a drink.
In the washing machine room only on washer worked and it didn't spin dry. And only one dryer worked as well. So we waited and waited. It took us 3 hours to do one load of laundry.
The ice machine was down and out the entire week. We had to go out and buy ice at the grocery store.
There were big carpet stains on the rug, it's getting old.
There is only one air conditioner and it's in the master bedroom, so the poor person (my mother in law) was uncomfortable sleeping on the rollout couch. The housekeeping staff who were very nice, got us a fan.
It was a tough week. It's supposed to be fun! I think Larry Law the owner needs to put some thought and some investment into Club Cranberry. It's not a nice experience anymore.
