Staff was friendly . Rooms cheaply renovated, walls paper thin. You can clearly hear the conversation in the next room. You can also hear every foot step of the people on the 2nd floor if your on the lower level. There is no restaurant here as well. We had to go out for lunch and diner. They said they are focasing on the spa . Makes no sense to me. Will definately Not go back and would definately Not recommend this place.

It is a really beautiful Inn with a lovely spa. The only improvement I'd like to see would be having better hours for using the kayaks and paddle boards. As of now they must be returned by 7 pm. In the summer it doesn't get dark until much later than that.

Well we stayed here cause our friends cottage was full up on Gloucester pool and it was a good experience we had a great view of the parking lot in our first room and went to the concierge and luckily they were not fully booked and were able to give a view of the courtyard which in hindsight didnt matter we were only there for one night and with the blinds closed was still a great room! I would recommend coming here as this is a prim location for good fun!

Great place to stay, but a bit difficult to find and not much going on in the surrounding area. We went in winter, however, so I'm sure things are much more lively in the summer. Nice walks and beautiful setting, nonetheless.

While the rooms were fine, the lack of food was more than disappointing. I can't understand why anyone would stay longer than one night. Relying on local pubs to feed their guests is completely inappropriate. The staff comments of 'going in a different direction' , I think the direction may be down, spiraling down.

Enjoyed a two night stay here for a kid-free weekend. We enjoyed their breakfast, the views and privacy around the resort. However, our view from our hotel wasn't lake view as requested. The room itself was nothing too exciting. It didn't include a mini fridge which was upsetting when we had leftovers and beverages we wanted to keep cool. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and all of the staff we interacted with were lovely. We would come back, we would just make sure to bring our own cooler!

We had an amazing time there last summer. They have kayaks available. It was very peaceful, and you Must try the fish and chip place just right before the inn. BEST I EVER HAD (fish and chips fan here). The owner is amazing and very passionated. We loved it there. The staff was very good. We would recommend.

It's a great place to have a break from the busy life and enjoy the beautiful scenarios in a quiet and peaceful environment.
Having a breakfast with the view of the lake it's the best way to start your day.
Accommodation and spa services are a bit pricy but we can spoil ourselves once in a while.

A nice getaway but nothing fantastic. Ww didn't do any spa services. Breakfast service and food wasn't great. We walked down the road to Rawleys for their piano bar which was a really fun time.

Booked a room on the Victoria Day long weekend to celebrate my anniversary. Arrived and saw that there was a wedding taking place that evening. I paid to upgrade to a room with a view and was placed in a hallway where all of the wedding guests were staying. We were up all night because of the loud noises the wedding guests were making, which understandably, it is a wedding. However, had we known the whole hotel was booked due to a wedding we would not have stayed that night or paid extra for a room with a view. I approached the front desk with this same feedback and received a response of I m sorry. The hotel had ample opportunity to let us know ahead of time that this wedding was taking place, but they did not. The situation was not handled professionally and due to this, I will not be returning. I visit Port Severn quite often and there are tons of other accommodations that I m sure will treat their visitors with more respect.

Beautiful spot with clean rooms. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. On the water, great views, you can take out a canoe, paddleboard or pedal boat for a few hours for no additional charge.

My only issue with this hotel is that there is no restaurant and no food available past 11am, after they serve a very basic continental breakfast. That means that if you are staying there for the weekend, you will need to spend your money elsewhere for a full meal. There isn't even a vending machine or anything available on the grounds. We ended up going to the resort across the water for a lovely brunch and dinner.

The hotel is beautiful, the spa is fantastic, tho sadly the food at the restaurant is not very good. Second night of our stay they had the same special (obviously left over fish). I ordered Lamb expecting braised chops and mint and was fed a greasy fat mutton leg. Too bad as they don t have any options for food (a pub or option) and because our room had no mini fridge the food we brought went bad. Sadly the chef left a bad taste on our experience at Christie s Mill. Both my wife and I experienced stomach cramps and diarrhea after dinner. Too bad as we were having a wonderful time up until then.

My wife and I spent three nights here for our honeymoon in August and really enjoyed our time. It wasn't busy at all, which was a bit confusing, but nice. The resort is on a small beach with paddle boats, canoes, and kayaks that they'll let you use to explore the bay. The restaurant was excellent, ate there every morning (since it was included) and enjoyed every meal they served. Room was gorgeous, with a fireplace, overlooking the lake.

The resort is decent here, we purchased a travel zoo and got a beautiful suite. Our friends opted for a more basic room and were disappointed because it was dated and they shut down their water in the morning due to some flooding issue in their wing. Unfortunately their restaurant is closed down so we had to go to another resort to eat. If you came by boat this would be very inconvenient, luckily we had our vehicle to drive to the Rawly resort to eat. Next time I think I would just go to a resort that has their own restaurant so you can enjoy a meal have some drinks then go up to your room. We were informed by the front reception that taxi service is very expensive since they have to call them from the next town in.

Paid the resort fee for !?? No restaurant on the premises. We went to relax and just take in the inn. Not enough lounge chairs and half were broken. Half the inn is upgraded the other half looks like it will falling apart.
Walked one night to a restaurant called the Galley. The food was terrible and the service was worse.
I love Muskoka it s a place very special to us. But we would NOT recommend staying at Christie s inn

Stayed here on a wedding anniversary. Had a 2nd floor room overlooking the water, only a short walk to the outdoor hot tub, which was nice but is enclosed and the building it was in required some TLC. Our room was a good size. Small repairs could have been made for a better experience. Food was lovely and overall our whole experience was good.

Extremely disappointing!! We went to celebrate our 30th anniversary and there is nothing to do! Can't get any food/drinks onsite and the breakfast buffet is better at any local hotel! They charge you a daily $20 "resort fee" to use their pool/hot tub etc. If you want beautiful scenery, amazing food and great atmosphere go to Rawleys Resort 5 minutes down the road.....there's no comparison!

I am extremely disappointed. We booked our weekend getaway for November 16th - 18th a couple months ago. I received an email saying they are canceling our reservation because they have decided to shutdown for the winter. If we had known about this earlier, we would have moved our date to September or October. The person suggested in the email to book in the spring once they re-open. I am 5 months pregnant, so the spring will not work for us. My husband and I have been looking forward to this little getaway before our baby arrives. I am so upset that we weren t given another option. When I replied back to their email, I didn t get a response. Horrible customer service!!!!

Stayed for a wedding in September 2017 and I found the resort extremely expensive for what you get. The facilities were beautiful but the staff were very unfriendly. I found the food in the dining room over priced and not very appetizing when it finally came out. Breakfast took over an hour to come out on the Sunday and most of the meals were messed up. There was someone in a wheel chair that attended the wedding and this place is not wheel chair acceptable at all. Other than the facility looks nice I will not be returning.

Room was nice, staff was friendly and somewhat helpful but you could see it in there faces that they are not happy with the resort's situation. There is no operating restaurant. They are probably dealing with unsatisfied customers on a daily basis. They all have the same line which they were obviously told to say, "For this season the resort is focusing on the wellness aspect" There's a beautiful dining room a beautiful kitchen that are both not being used. We wanted to relax and play some cards at the resort in a place with a table and a view (our room does not have a view) and were told by multiple staff that there is no where to do this. (Dining room is boarded up and the banquet room is also off limits after the continental breakfast service) The front desk person offered to set us up a card table and chairs at the end of a hallway lol. Oh, the spa services.. not registered.. not able to use my benefits. Overall, a beautiful place that seems to have owners who don't know what they're doing.

Had a very nice stay here. Beautiful property, right on the water. Nice staff. Decent rates. Great pool & hot tub. Nice spa. The Inn's restaurant had really good high-end food and both dinner & breakfast were tasty. Some points that would fetch this place 5 stars: The rooms could be more cozy (artwork on the walls maybe, less harsh lighting), a games room for something to do on a rainy day, better seating areas inside (again for a rainy day), and food options OTHER than the on-site restaurant (quick/cheap/short-order food options, or perhaps a snack bar or vending machine). All of that said, those are constructive criticisms and I would definitely return!

My wife and I have been here 5 times in 5 years. Beautiful and always relaxing. Easy to get to. Wonderful food in the restaurant. (Love the smoked salmon Benny for breakfast). Only open weekends through winter. Our favourite weekend getaway.

I went here two summers ago, and I still tell everyone I know what a fantastic place this is. The hospitality, room, view, and overall experience was PERFECT. It's a hidden gem! Great price and AMAZING value.

I go to Christies Mill every year for mothers day and this year was no different. We were informed ahead of time that this year they wouldn't be having their normal buffet style brunch but one from a menu, we were alright with that. When we arrived and sat down at our table we then realized that the "menu" consisted of 2 different dishes that weren't apitizing to any of us. We loved attending the brunches in the past but if they don't bring back the buffet style brunch we definitely won't be returning and I can imagine we won't be the only ones.

Was very under the weather and had a bad experience that ended with me throwing up in the other room and then going to the hospital. Thankfully the staff was very accommodating and courteous and took care of me in the meantime. They were also kind enough to not charge me for my massage even though I wasted their time. My girlfriend enjoyed her massage. Would go back

Under poor management. Changed resorts to across the water and was VERY, VERY refreshed with welcoming and accommodating staff and a much nicer facility. I recommend calling RL before making a resveration at christies. Staff friendliness and attitude far supersedes facilities, food, and cleanliness, and RL exceeds in every category.

It has been one week since we stayed two nights at your resort. I have been telling friends, family, and clients all week long about this wonderful experience! Most memorable.

Over the years I have purchased a lot of weekend get-aways, but I believe this had to be the BEST ever! The staff was so very friendly and accommodating. My Wife, and I, wanted to get away to a quiet place for the weekend, and hopefully enjoy (looking at) a lot of white snow. Well, that was our prerequisite, and it truly exceeding our expectations. I suspect we should perhaps be thanking Mother Nature for that bonus.

However, we did not expect to be rewarded by so very many bonus's yet to come at Christies' Mill. It was wonderfully quiet, as we must have lucked out that there were NO children along with all the couples that weekend!

The dinner was such an incredible surprise! Outstanding! We travel a great deal, all over the continent, the Caribbean, and to Europe. We prefer to have higher expectations than most travelers perhaps, which is why we generally pay the premium for five-star accommodations.

The meals in your restaurant were magnificently presented to the extent that I had to take photos of each course! The presentation was only exceeded by the taste! The Chef is first class in his efforts here. In the City that we live there is no restaurant that I would go out of my way to get excited for dinner. Your restaurant quality is so exceptional, I would drive the two hours for dinner alone. Even the breakfasts were outstanding. Presentation and consumption-wise!

The only very small flaw was on the first night, my Wife and I did not sleep well. The cozy room was not to blame, but likely just the fact that we slept in a Queen-size bed that we had not been used to.

Upon expressing our misfortune the next morning to the young woman at the front desk, she relocated us to another end of the resort. Well, what a wonderful surprise to find that we were given a beautiful suite. Complete with now a King-size bed, a fireplace, and a magnificently large bathroom with spa bath.

After this surprise we didn't think it could get any better, but it did. We had to find something to fill in the beautiful snowy Winters day, just so that we could anticipate having dinner again in your restaurant! Again, it was fabulous! We have tried as many things as we could possibly accomplish with two dinners. Just wonderful.

One additional bonus that really pulled it all together was, Dan. What an attentive, and pleasant asset to your facility.
Even the young women that worked the breakfast shift were very pleasant, and were working well with Dans' attention to detail.
Overall, not only was the weekend incredibly relaxing, but Christies' Mill exceeded our expectations at every corner.

We will be back to stay, and of course to eat !!!!

Visited Christie's Mill in August of 2014. Initially we had an issue with our accommodations and asked to speak with the manager. We were treated promptly with respect and made to feel valued. The manager went far beyond what we expected in order to make us feel happy and satisfied. Full emphasis was placed on maximizing our enjoyment of the visit. The location on the water is beautiful, it is worth the extra money to treat yourself to a water view suite which includes a private balcony. We watched a spectacular sunset on our second night while enjoying the beautiful lake breeze. We dined in the Mill's restaurant for dinner and had a great meal, again, while taking in the lake view. Felt compelled to write a review even after 1 year. Looking forward to returning.

Depends on what you're looking for. Spa can be an attraction as well as golf. There is a "beach" but it's not much. View is dominated by marinas and cottages. Rooms are nice enough. No restaurant or bar but there are some close by.

Very nice! Decor was subdued but classic. Service was top notch as was the food. They had a small menu, which in a small place is the only way they can ensure quality food. Highly recommended.

The lobby was empty and cold looking only one little couch, no restaurant is the deal breaker, we didn t even stay for what they call the continental breakfast very poor options, no where to get pop, snacks. Patio furniture on deck was covered in dust, needed to be cleaned before use.Got charged resort fee...for what no idea. This was a Anniversary gift, but we wouldn t buy this for any of our family.

The place was very nice and our room was renovated with a beautiful view. The spa was lovely but on the pricey side and they do not have RMT on site. The restaurant on site is closed which the neglected to tell us. There are 3 places to eat to which one was closed on Monday s and Tuesday s so limited us to only 2 places to eat and the other was still opened but only for couple more weeks ( The Galley) must try deep fried butter tart to die for. It was a WagJag deal not sure I would pay the full price at that time of year. Staff is very nice and friendly.

All of the staff is very pleasant and nice. The grounds are well kept and so are the rooms and the rest of the establishment. The Twigs restaurant does not have the greatest food. I would not say it is horrible but it's definitely not fine dining. This is a nice option if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway
