I have been going to Covina valley Kia for over 4 ...

I have been going to Covina valley Kia for over 4 years driving from Riverside all the way to Covina for regular oil changes. I will NEVER go there again. I am just one person but they have lost a loyal customer. The service I received was horrid. It really started when I got to the place. Right before I got off thr freeway to take my car in for a regular oil change my check engine light went off. When I talked to the man, I think his name is Mike, about the check engine light he told me it would cost 69 dollars just to check it. I have never been charged to plug the car in to check the code. I tried to ask him why the sudden change and was brushed off with a quick answer about new management. I told him I really am looking for a cheaper option trying to save money to fly to visit family after a sudden death but he was not helpful at all. Before I set the appointment up the man on the phone assured me of a coupon code the price was changed on a document I signed agreeing on the price, total savings was going to be about $8 but I was charged full price when I checked out.

Also they said my battery was bad but they ran the test in front of me and it was fine, just changed it 6 months ago, the man told me someone must have left the light on. I find it weird how someone left the light on in the car and they tried to tell me I needed a new battery. I also had my brakes redone while my car was there because they told me they were bad but after the battery incident I don't think I should have trusted them. I just should have saved the money and talked to my mechanic.
Basically, I would never advise that you ever go here, find another place where people actually care about you as a customer and your car and are not going to try to charge you for unecessary services. They are a bunch of crooks, I will never take my car here again.

Everytime I go and get my car serviced with Covina Valley Kia, Mike goes above and beyond with customer service! He always makes me feel like family and extremely comfortable while I wait. The rest of the staff is always so professional as well. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else but with Covina Valley Kia. Mike is an AMAZING asset to your company!

I went to Covina Kia on 4/2/17. I had a horrible experience with the floor Sales manager. They were NOT going to let me close deal with their ad of $23,646 taxes and licensing not included.
The Sales manager lost his cool. He slammed his hand as he snatched invoice in front me. With that same snatch, he crumbled and threw wadded invoice behind him and hit another employee. WHAT KIND OF MANNERS AND ETHICS IS THAT!!! He then stearnly said what do you want! I'm like... what the ad says.
HE added this bogus package for 1,999. No where is the 1,999 mentioned it being mandatory. He wanted to close me at 30,000 after rebates,deals, taxes, licensing, and financing.
I'm severely bothered at the blatant disrespect he showed me and my mom by being an emotional, proud, condescending, and unprofessional sales rep MANAGER. What's worse is this man is the leader, Sales M-A-N-A-G-E-R!! Your Mike Ditka/ Vince Lombardi sales pitch was pointless, harsh, and rude! Customers matter. Paying customers deserve respect. I had $10,000 to start. SMH!!!
Thanks for ruining my kia experience. And to behave like a brute in front of a female senior citizen is unrational and unmerited!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

They get the job done but are extremely passive aggressive. They make inappropriate comments that are directed towards the client but said indirectly. The supervisor was the same. However, the service was done but I will not be returning.

Customer Service was fantastic!! Extremely pleasant to work with and everyone was very outgoing. We worked with Chris Scott and Westley who were very knowledgeable. We actually bought 2 cars and Westley was there with us from start to finish. Stop by and see Westley he is the BEST!! I recommended anyone who wants to buy a Kia or needs service, go to Covina Valley Kia. The entire Sales team was very professional and straight to the point. GREAT Buying Experience!! The SERVICE DEPARTMENT was also very professional. I previously had taken my Kia to another dealership for service that was very unsatisfactory. Covina Valley Kia kept me informed of the status several times throughout the day, and the car was ready later that day as promised. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR VEHICLE TO COVINA VALLEY KIA SERVICE DEPARTMENT.

Our experience at the Kia Covina Service Dept. on Saturday Nov. 8 2014 was very favorable. Mike Connelly was very friendly and efficient, but the only disappointment we experienced was that when we got our car back we noticed that about half of our change that was in the cup holder was missing. It only added up to about five dollars, but the simple thought that someone was low enough to help themselves to something that was not theirs is very upsetting. Just thought you might want to know that not all of your crew is honest. Thank you Lou Ann Wagner

Every time I bring my car in for service I am served by a very professional, and friendly staff. Craig and Mike usually are the two that handle my car two and they are two of the best that work there. I will continue bringing my car for the best service there is.

Being at a dealership all day when looking/buying a car can be stressful and time consuming... But I have to say that I enjoyed my time with the Kia Staff. They're sweet, funny, and entertaining all at the same time. Big shout out to Tre and Wes Definitely cool guys!

Mike was extremely helpful. Got our 2011 Sorento in for oil change and to check a bit of a right drift in the alignment. As soon as we drove up we were met at the door and began the paperwork process.Mike explained cost options and the work that would be done. We left and had breakfast nearby and when we returned, he said front brakes were needing done, but that they could go another few thousand miles. He said the tire rotation fixed the alignment (they test drove the car).

What we liked about the experience was- 'no pressure.' He was there to help us with our scheduled service and he did! The car felt new again and the alignment was corrected by tire rotation. On top of that, he honored the coupon we had and gave us a 10% discount. This was actually one of the very rare times when I had gone into a dealership for service and paid less than the original estimate. Completely satisfied and highly recommend Covina Valley KIA. Will be returning in about 3 months.

I went to Covina Valley Kia and Marco immediately met with us listened to all my wants and needs for a car but that first test drive I didn't buy a car a couple months later I went back and Marco still remember me and everything that I loved about the Kia Soul. He really went above and beyond any other dealer I've ever experience. Now I'm drive an alien green Kia Soul and Love IT! Even the finance manager was so nice and explained everything really well so that I understood all the numbers.

Marco is a sweet heart the best, most friendly and personal sales man. Highly recommend Covina Valley Kia.

Red Flags EVERYWHERE! Do NOT support this business...

Red Flags EVERYWHERE! Do NOT support this business. Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance to bring my vehicle in for a diagnosis on my check engine light. Had a thorough discussion with the Service rep and provided as much detail as possible based on the vehicle error message to prepare their technician. When I arrived, they had no record of my appointment. I was told there was only one service rep who handled those types of calls, and he looked me straight in the face and said he never remembered speaking with me or me requesting an appointment. I decided to leave my vehicle anyway since I was already there. I was never contacted again after that. After my car sat for a day, I called in for a status update. I was told that the service rep in charge of my visit was not in the office and that she was the only one able to access my file. I requested that I get notice from a manager and the call attendant said she would put a note on their desk. So I waited, again. It was now COB day two do I called again upset that I hadn't recieve any notification whatsoever on the status of my vehicle. The Call attendant said she would transfer me right away... I sat on an unattended line for 15 minutes. I hung up and called back letting her know that no one was responding she said all she was able to do is transfer calls. I hung up and had my husband call and ask about getting his car service to which she promptly stated, "they're closed for the day"
So, this idiot knowingly sent me to a dead line! Unprofessional!!! I had enough so I decided to pickup my vehicle. I called in on day 3 and not until I asked to take home my vehicle, did they decide to tell me they diagnosed it and parts were already ordered. I told them I was going to pick it up because it was ridiculous that they held my car for 3 days with ZERO COMMUNICATION as to what their intent was. The service rep tried to appease me by offering a rental car... why wait until day 3 and customer complaint of no communication to do what should have been done on day 1?! I told her I wanted no service performed and that I was picking it up to take it to my regular Kia Dealer. The service rep instantly became rude and aggressively tried to get me to not pickup my car. Will NEVER patronize this joke of an establishment again. Take your vehicles elsewhere.

This was the first time that we actually enjoyed the car buying experience. They asked what we wanted to pay and made it happen. If anybody I know was in the market for a car I would highly recemend Covina Valley Kia with out hesitation. We were there on a very busy Saturday and had to wait, but Will, the salesman and Josh kept letting us know when we would be next for financing.

Thanks Guy's. Friendly Fast and efficient. Mike in service helped a lot. Haven't been feeling well and he made my experience a smooth sailing. I have to say the communication is a plus. All on the same page. They also cleaned my car, minus using water because of the drought. I love my KIA Sorrento. Very Roomy. Thanks again. (People keep in mind its not necessarily the make or model of the car, its just that you might have gotten one that wasn't assembled correctly. I say this because of other coments made. Kia is rated top of the line in Consumer Reports Magazine.

Honestly, everyone here always does a good job. I take my car here for service, and today I had a particularly great experience. My engine light was on and they were really busy, but Mike managed to get my car looked at. I was just expecting my car to just be diagnosed, so that I could get a rental car, but they actually fixed my car! This was awesome, and now I can drive my car this weekend. The people at Covina Kia are always professional, prompt and friendly. Huge shout to Mike for helping me out today, and I really thank everyone at Kia Covina!

I was passing through Covina on my way back down to San Diego, and I needed a battery for my car, and an oil change. I had procrastinated for a month. I pulled off Citrus and pulled into Covina Valley Kia. Jay from service helped me out and i got to meet the service director too. they had Starbucks Coffee for me while I waited, and i sat and watched some b ball on the Huge flat screen while I waited. I paid a fair price for the battery, service, and they even washed my ride. Came back a couple of months later and I bought an Optima. Ask for Josh, James, or Wes! They hooked my wife upp with a great car. I would drive over 120 miles for any of my car needs because of the staff, and the cool family friendly atmosphere. Felt like I was home. go see these guys! :)

I love my car; when I first bought it everyone was fantastic and so friendly.
But five months into having my Optima hybrid I started to have sensor problems. I took it in to have it looked at, make sure you make an appointment it'll take about a week, which I think is a little ridiculous especially if your car is unsafe to drive I think they should fit your car and as soon as possible not make an appointment. So after week I finally took it in at 8:30 in the morning by 1:30 PM I hadn't heard anything so I gave them a call the receptionist said that my car was finished and they would see about getting me a rental car and they would call me back! By 4P I still haven't heard anything I called back they said they're waiting on manager approval to still get me a rental car, by 530 I hadn't heard anything and they close at six so I finally went down there and when I showed up The gentleman said oh OK we have everything ready for you- not only did all the rental car places not have a rental car for me Kia gave me a loaner car which was incredibly basic- I assumed they would loan me a car that was equivalent to my car. And it took them about a week to finally call me back and tell me that my car was ready. And when I picked up my car I'm use to dealerships giving my car a car wash or a full gas tank - in which they didn't neither. Needless to say when my lease is up I probably won't stick with Kia

The employees at the service desk are awesome. Smiling, polite and accommodating. I had made an appointment but, they were able to get to my car until hours later and I had to rent a car. That was a little frustrating; however, other than that, it was a good experience. Jake was awesome!

Amazing customer service! Got there before 7AM, gate was not open & parked next door. The guys were setting up & although they were not ready, I was greeted with a smile, immediate response to reason I was there & manager even got my key & got my car for me so I would not have to walk back.

I was there for a tire replacement, got it done & off I went with a very grateful & satisfying feeling.

Thank you Kia Covina & keep up the good work! You really know how to take care of your customers.

Is open earlier than my local kia. I was able to get seen quicker. I ordered my part same day and they said they would call. I ordered monday and i called the next tuesday for an update and was told the part arrived friday.... i picked up my part and it was naked inside the box (as in it was opened stripped from safe shipping) stuff and stapled shut bare no foam or nothing to keep it from moving inside. There was a dent on the box.

I had a remarkably bad experience with the Covina Valley Kia service department this morning.

Two days ago, I made an appointment to bring my Niro in this morning because the lower-right headlight assembly has a bad connection, and the adaptive cruise control does not seem to be detecting cars as well as it did a few months ago.

I brought my car in this morning, and was told that it would take 2-3 hours to fix these issues. Because this is our only car, I waited in the waiting room for the repairs to be completed. 3 hours later I asked for the status of the repair, and was told that it would take "at least another hour and a half to finish up". I was then told that a shuttle could take me home and was sent to another person to coordinate the shuttle. That person said that the shuttle would probably not be available, and my home was probably too far away for the shuttle to take me to (despite being with 10 miles of the dealership). The person said she would check with the shuttle and with a manager and let me know, so I returned to the waiting room. Half an hour later I had not heard anything, so I returned to the service desk and said that I needed to get to work, and needed to cancel the service. I was worried that my car would be in the middle of being serviced since I'd been told half an hour earlier that it would take "at least an hour and a half to finish up", but my car was actually right there in the parking lot, where it had been sitting since I'd brought it in three and a half hours earlier. The service representative brought it to me, and I drove it away, in exactly the same condition as I'd brought it in. There were several other customers at the counter who were also being fed the exact same "at least another hour and a half" line, and us all being told the same thing was part of what made me suspicious that nothing was actually being done. I could understand this sort of delay if I'd brought in my car unannounced, but since I'd made an appointment for a specific time two days in advance, I would expect the service department to be ready to work on my car when I arrive, and for work to commence fairly quickly.

This is not the first time that I have experienced egregiously slow service at Covina Valley Kia (in fact, I have never had anything remotely close to expedient service at Covina Valley Kia), but it will be the last. I will not be bringing my car back there, and will try the other Kia dealerships in the area instead.

I am also unlikely to buy another Kia at all if this is the kind of service I can expect.

I took my wife's Kia Soul to have the engine replaced . Apparently these cars only run up to 114149 miles before the engine seizes. I have proof that I kept up with the all the oil changes promptly . I took the car to Covina valley because I figured they would be right for the job . I have never been so wrong in my life . They had the car for 4 months , to get any updates during that time was impossible. Mike and his staff are extremely unprofessional. I've never had to deal with such nonsense especially for the price they charged me . The handle on the driver seat was broken and left broken even tho we didn't break it , I had two flat tires the next morning , which to me shows they saw they were flat filled them with air and instead of warning me allowed me to leave the lot. The next day they told my wife it isn't their problem. The car inside is a mess , it smells like motor oil because as they were dismantling the car they were throwing the parts in the car . Now a check engine light is on after having a motor and all the hoses replaced only two days after i got it back. KEEP IN MIND THESE GUYS HAD THE DAMN CAR FOR 4 MONTHS . I'm dreading having to deal with Covina valley Kia Because of how unprofessional the employees are . When I paid, all the Money was there . I wasn't a single dollar short . So why couldn't I get the car back 100% fixed? Will they give me back 1000$ for not fixing the car correctly? No mike wanted all the money and it was given to him, so why in the hell am I still having problems with this car. Again will they give me at least 1000$ back until the problem is resolved? Of course not! I gave them every dollar I had , I'm struggling to feed my family because of these thieves. They will keep my money and again have me waiting another 4 months just to get a response For the check engine light ? Why do I have to go back for a check engine light after paying Covina valley Kia 4078$ And four months of giving them the opportunity to properly fix the Soul ? These guys should be ashamed of them selfs especially the people at the top . How can you allow for this to be done to hard working Americans during such a difficult time economically.This should have all been checked by the service tech's. Now god knows how much longer it will take to get the car back . If you can avoid buying a Kia or Hyundai I would recommend it strongly, but if you have already made one of the biggest mistakes of your life and spent your money on these cheaply made vehicles . Find a dealer that won't just take all your money but find one that will have enough respect for you as a paying customer to make sure you can get a update when you call and have your car properly fixed . My money wasn't counterfeit, so why couldn't my car be fixed the right way and by someone who knows what they are doing and I can't stress enough after 4 months ? Was that not enough time for your techs to do their job properly? DONT BUY KIA , DONT TRUST COVINA VALLEY KIA SERVICE DEPARTMENT you will regret it when you can't buy your kids food because these guys can't do they job right and they won't have a problem taking all your money and still not fixing your car the way it should be . Let's see what happens I will definitely be keeping you all informed. Again please if your car is t working DO NOT COME HERE .. don't risk you livelihood . I would have rather used that 4k$ to buy another car .

Service is great. One of the only few dealers that consistently has coupons for you to have savings for any service. I've had my car since Jan 2014 and been here for 4 different service times. Each time, very courteous service and every time I provide my time that I'd like to have my car back, they deliver every time. Location is great near by lots of shopping and eatery so also another super plus for coming here. btw, loving the free Wifi when i do decide to wait in buidling.

So we called Kia of Covina and without hesitation they sent me a tow and got it to there lot
Michael Connely provided great customer service and let us know they were going help us out and fix the our engine failure
Dealt with Michael the hole time he got us a rental and kept in touch on a daily bases
Thank you so much Michael your kindness and your help was just amazing and a great deal of help
Also did not have to spend a single dime due to the Recall and engine failure on Kias

Completely negative car shopping experience. I came in to purchase a vehicle I had specific parameters I was looking to stay within. I told the salesman I completely understood if it wasn't doable for him.I had to leave and the salesman was texting me daily. Fast forward we scheduled an appointment for two weeks later I asked if the vehicle we were looking at was still available he assured me it was. I didn't trust it ofcourse so I went to check that same day and no where on the lot did I see it. So I'm communicating with him throughout the week in regards to our appointment and he says we are good. I arrive at my appointment and I'm sitting there for 15mins then he "has bad news" the car is sold. Which would be understandable but the trust was ruined because he lied initially so at this point I didn't trust him to even assist me with something as significant as purchasing a vehicle. What a complete waste of time. Are all car salesman shady?????
