My husband and I are first time home buyers. We have been searching for the perfect home for the past 1.5 years, we walked into the Cy Becker Show by Coventry and were greeted by the amazing Zeina. She was able to work with our budget and allow us to get everything we wanted.

She has been great since we started the process. Our biggest sell on Conventry compared to all the other builders was the room sizes, with Coventry we were able to get a master bedroom that can fit a king size bed and 2 side tables.

We can not wait for the next step to building our home and moving in next year.

Thank you Zeina for being so amazing, We would definitely recommend everyone work with you and Coventry.

If you want to upgrade or changes things which sales manager don t agree check always with the construction supervisor for e.g. want a bigger tub or stair railing and basement door and main door.

We bought our first home from Vanja a little over a year ago. Every single person that we met from Coventry throughout the entire process went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. The level of quality you get from building with Coventry is unmatched in the market in the Edmonton area. As well, we have had 0 issues with any warranty work or any part of the process.

Picking Coventry to build you new home is the best decision you can possibly make! Thank you all for the wonderful job you did on our home!

I have worked with Coventry for years, they have such a great company culture. Also just finished our second home build and couldn t have went better, anytime we had a concern it was dealt with quickly. Thanks to all the people that helped make this happen.

Please stay away from this company. Once they have your deposit, the idea of good customer service is thrown out the window. We built a house with them and the communication back and fourth is tiring. They will put the blame on the customer for every mistake that is made by them. They will tell you one thing is doable just to come back down the road and say it is not possible.

For example we showed them pictures of every thing we wanted and were told on many occasion that not to worry we have everything doted down. Once you sign the addendum which they go over very fast and don't explain it line by line its more of of just a quick view and getting your signatures. When we noticed the mistakes they made they hid behind the contract and simply said sorry you signed off on this. They blind side you with promising words where me and my husband fell for since it is our first time buying a home we put our full trust in the sales manager Darren and his associate Alyssa. After that they just started to literally started to ignore our calls and our emails.

We pointed out all the errors and mistakes during our prepossession walk through and nothing has been fixed yet. We are addressing our concerns with now a 7th individual at Coventry. Emails and phone calls go unanswered. Several emails are sent to them with no reply. We have sent emails as high up to the President- Mark Rodier, asking for a call back which is ignored. We don't know what to do now as we don't know where to turn regarding the issues with our home. The new home owner specialist- Sally Tizzard, does not return any of our calls or emails when their job is to take care of everything after we take possession. We were looking at Marcson homes prior to going with Coventry and I think that is a mistake we will regret for a long time.

I just wanted to take the time to write about my time at Coventry Homes. I had been an employee there for 4 and a half years. I have just recently left to pursue an exciting opportunity. An opportunity that never would have arose without Coventry.

To work for a company that actually lives its core value's is not only refreshing but drives you to become that much better. A place that challenges you to grow and does not settle for the status quo.

I have been extremely fortunate to work for an owner that believes in mental health. To sit down individually with every single department and talk about "I am" statements and how important a positive mindset is. In all honesty that was such a big take away.

This type of attention and care has carried down to management, to the employee's and ultimately the clients. From a personal experience I have approached our General Manager numerous times to solve issues that were beyond the scope of the contract. He understands putting yourself in the clients shoes, and realizing that there is a face and a family behind a file and not just a job number. Coventry has continually stepped up to the plate to go above and beyond and do what they feel is just right. To have that type of support makes it easy to have such an overwhelming sense of pride in what you do.

Although I am extremely excited for my new career, I will truly miss working with such talented people. These people were just not my colleagues, so many have turned into amazing friendships.

Wishing you continued well deserved success!

When my wife and I decided to take the leap of building our own custom home, we were both excited and nervous . We knew nothing about the process and what to expect. When we met with Zeina .P we were given a breakdown of what to expect and the process going forward. It was then that we knew we were in good hands as everything was communicated and explained thoroughly.

I love Coventry Homes so much. I just had the best experience on my 3 month house warranty visit. Gary led his team in my home today to do whatever small odds and ends touch ups were needed. Little paint touch ups.. and some small tweaks.. they took care of everything. Whatever was not able to be done will be taken care of in the very near future. When I deal with Coventry, I deal with pros from the office all the way the trades guys in my homes. Thank you again for helping my family have the home of our dreams and thanks again to Yolanda who was and is the most patient person ever in allowing us to plan our dream home. Ken should also be mentioned too, as he has gone out of his way to ensure I was taken care of, down to us finding the proper knob for my little storage area for my poker tables. Thanks for the great and amazing experience.

If someone looking for house, I highly recommend Zenia who is the sales manager follow my case. When I talk with my friend who just bought the house. Zenia is much better than my friend s builder manager. Want to say thank you to her again here. There is one more thing I have to mention, Zenia is always reply very fast with in few mins. She should be 10 stars instead of 5

I took a buyer to go view several show homes, and I can t speak highly enough of Christian Rose in the Cy Becker show home. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient with myself and my buyers. Typically show home representatives aren t a huge fan of realtors being present on deals due to a possible cut on their commission :(, but Christian didn t make us feel unwelcome at all and was very knowledgeable in his inventory. He even hobbled around injured on crutches to help us out! TROOPER!!

Needless to say, my buyers didn t just choose a Coventry home because of the nicer finishings or the layout, as several other builders had similar floor plans, etc. They decided to go with Coventry because of the level of trust and respect Christian was able to provide on top of the great quick possession home he helped us with.

SEE PHOTOS BELOW for EXAMPLE - Terrible attention ...

SEE PHOTOS BELOW for EXAMPLE - Terrible attention to detail - amateur incompetent tradespeople - inconsiderate and useless construction manager - here is but ONE small example of MANY - our bathroom toilet paper roll was listing at an angle when it should have been horizontal - in removing the handle/cover I noticed that one screw was not even a proper wood screw - it was a machine screw that has absolutely no use - it was not attached to a stud (not that it could anyways as it is meant to be used with a nut - nor was a proper drywall anchor used - just a big hole on the left and a machine screw stuck in there for show - not doing anything - no wonder the toilet roll was hanging down - THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED EXAMPLE - how about Coventry dropping heavy items on our new front step and chipping the concrete (and then doing a lousy patch job)? HOW ABOUT IMPROPERLY WIRED LIGHT SWITCHES? I put a dimmer in the baby's room and it simultaneously controlled the lights in the master bathroom (rooms wired in series - how amateur is that?) HOW about never receiving light covers for the fluorescent fixtures in our garage despite several requests? How about a massive drywall mud mess on our outer wall and a refusal to clean it? How about an attic vent that was misaligned/damaged and clicked incessantly with the wind (mentioned during the initial frame in walk through and twice after that)? How about a ruined $4000 backsplash that took weeks to resolve and ultimately was never put in properly? How about in the SAME bathroom as mentioned earlier a toilet seat that was scratched - and RATHER THAN REPLACE IT THEY TOOK STEEL WOOL TO IT AND SCUFFED IT TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE IT WAS 'SATIN' WHEN IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SHINY (real professional work there trying to save a buck rather than address the customer issue honestly)? HOW ABOUT A DRIVEWAY THAT WAS POURED WITH TOO MUCH MOISTURE AND INCORRECTLY DONE (brother in law is a Civil Engineer and he spotted it right away). This is who you are dealing with - HOW ABOUT A CONSTRUCTION MANAGER WHO REFUSED TO WORK AROUND YOUR PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE AND COMPLAINED THAT WE WERE TAKING TIME AWAY FROM HIS FAMILY BECAUSE WE COULD NOT MEET BEFORE 4:30PM? Think about this when they try to sell you a home and see how happy you are when you deal with them afterwards. AMATEURS all the way - BUT WAIT - THERE'S MORE . . . how about ORDERING A GYM PACKAGE and the CONSTRUCTION MANAGER DOES NOT KNOW WHAT GOES IN THE PACKAGE - so during the walk through equipment is missing and he has NO IDEA - SAME MANAGER called me one day and said - "DO YOU WANT BASEBOARDS IN THE HOME GYM?" and I say "Yes of course we would - why are you asking?' - and he says "Well they CUT THE MIRRORS THE WRONG LENGTH AND NOW WE HAVE TO MOVE THEM OUT . . ." - and of course he sounded angry/upset when we requested that they do it properly. I know that every builder can have some issues from time to time - but as demonstrated with the pictures in one example this company takes shortcuts and believe me I have found several of them . . . when you spend $565,000 for a home do you want to be experiencing these ISSUES a year or two DOWN THE ROAD when they are LONG GONE and HAVE YOUR MONEY? Think about this - 'Caveat Emptor' aka 'Buyer Beware'.

Hands down the best builder I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. My wife and I have built two Homes with Coventry and if we ever decide to build again it will definitely be with them. We couldn't ask for a better final product and the customer service we recived was outstanding.
Very Happy, Thanks Coventry!!

Coventry tore into our lawn during a neighboring new construction build and promised to fix everything back to the way it was. This was a complete lie. A year has passed, the neighbor has their house and we have been met with nothing but resistance to our concerns for repairing our foundation and lawn. They claim work was done by them when it wasn't and continue to be a pain to communicate with. Two week to 2 month intervals between communications. Not a pleasure working with them and I highly advise if they promise anything to you, not to believe it. I'd give zero stars if I possible and will continue telling everyone I know about my poor experience with this company.

Spoke to the GM Mark Rodier and it was a pleasant surprise that he was so willing to attend to our problems. We appreciate the swift and immediate response provided and I retract my negative feedback. Mark handled our complaint perfectly and while I`m not a fan of certain staff I have previously dealt with, Mark definitely righted the ship in the right direction for us.

Disappointed in Coventry, we have concrete issues ...

Disappointed in Coventry, we have concrete issues with our driveway, I identified it at our 1 year warranty walk through, and was told that it was normal and fine, so I didn't end up filing a claim with the home warranty, because I was told it would be fine. 6 months later the whole driveway is chipping and spalling, and Coventry is not standing by the quality of their work, and will not do anything to provide a reasonable solution. They say it is because of the deicing solution used on the Anthony Henday. Well, all my neighbours live close to the Henday, and they don't have this issue with their driveways.

WE FOLLOWED the concrete care instructions from the Coventry, and did seal our drive way each year, and we don't use de-icing agents. If this was a de-icing agent problem, then our neighbours WOULD ALL have this issue, and the sidewalk would have this issue. NOPE, it is ONLY OUR DRIVEWAY.

I have friends that work with pouring and setting concrete, and they all say,

"this was a rush on the contractor's part, there was too much water in the mix, that it was over mixed. and when they pour in winter they should have used some setting additives and extra cement in their mixture to generate more heat in concrete and use less water avoiding spalling and flaking. They probably didn't to make finishing easier and keep pouring.
Good contactors for home builders is hard to get as they look to pay cheapest for the pours which is sad because it's as the consumer ends up with a hassle in the end."

I was willing to meet them halfway, but have been brushed off by them. I tried to work with the Home Warranty people and set up a mediation approach with Coventry, but they rejected that approach (so it demonstrates that they are unwilling to address my concerns).

I would not recommend going through them, as they don't back up their work, and don't fix issues. definitely not a quick solution. I have been going back and forth with them for over a year now, and our driveway continues to disintegrate.

DO NOT BUILD WITH COVENTRY.

As a first time home buyer, Coventry was helpful from the very start after I found a house that I really liked. Right from when I met with their sales representative Jade to when I received my keys from Scott, I was happy with the whole process. Any questions I had were quickly answered. Coventry has always had a quick response too to my questions. And the quality of my home is unreal. If you re looking for a builder to use to find your house, Coventry Homes is highly recommended!

Recently bought a house from Coventry homes. Kudos to Mo Ghafour, it is a pleasure working with Mo, he is patient and listens to our requirements, suggested home designs which fulfilled our requirements. He is very honest with his recommendations, accommodating to our needs, spent extra hours to address our concerns. I can t commend him highly enough, thank you very much for all your help Mo Ghafour.

A short time ago, my husband and I began the process of shopping for a builder for our first home here in Edmonton. We had the exceptional luck to meet with Christian Rose and Zeina Pong of Coventry Homes Inc in our chosen community of Cy Becker. From the first sit down, and up to the other day where we removed conditions and beyond, Christian and Zeina have been phenomenal to work with. They guided us through the initial steps and were more than happy to work with us in regards to the numerous changes/ upgrades & detailed requests.

They did not hesitate to offer us affordable options to some of our requests to make sure that we came in under budget. They have been more than accommodating to some of our more 'nit- picky' requests and did not hesitate to take the initiative on some others that had not even crossed our minds!

Having looked around at several other builders in the NE of Edmonton, my husband and I were blown away by the impressive customer service we have recieved so far ( And having an in- depth background in Customer Service, this is hard to do!).

Coming from a construction background, Christian was able to plot out and breakdown each of our changes within a couple of days and had each iteration of our plan and build drawn up and laid out, with costs, in no time at all. He was able to tell us what would work and what may not as we progressed, instead of the usual 'we'll send an email and get back to you' that we received from most other builders. This made it very easy to visualize what we would be looking at in terms of space and cost and allowed us to really narrow down our lists of 'Wants vs. Needs' in our new home.

Overall, we are more than impressed by the level of service we have recieved thus far and are looking forward to see what they have to offer over the progress of our build.

We have no reservations about recommending Christian and Zeina of Coventry Homes Inc. to our family and friends!

I'll be keeping this review updated throughout the build process over the next few months and will hopefully keep up the positive reviews!!

Please don t build your dream home with Coventry Homes. They are inconsiderate, erragant, and have no respect for their customers. We built three years ago and we are still repairing things they did. Building a home should be exciting and it s all about the customer relations. However, if the builder and its staff leave you feeling worthless and insignificant after spending so much money, then one is left with bad memories and ill feeling for your home and surroundings. They are not to be trusted. Stay away from Coventry Homes!

My experience buying a house with Coventry has been top notch. Mo Ghafour, our salesman, is so good that I wouldn t even call him a salesman. He is something else. His customer service is absolutely over and above any expectations you would expect. I have recommended him to my little brother and family. Not once did I ever feel pressured or like I was being sold anything, in fact it has been quite the opposite. I am walking away from this experience feeling that Mo Ghafour stepped up and went to bat for us and did everything he could to make sure we got everything we wanted within the limited budget that we gave him. He has honestly given a new light to the term salesman and I hope he continues on this path and that his peers follow suit. Best experience I have ever had making such a large and important purchase!! Thank you Mo & Coventry Homes!!

Attempted to build a home with Coventry in Sherwood Park. Erika Williams the Site Area Manager isn't capable of anything. She made promises left, right and centre but when it came to delivering on those promises, she couldn't. Missed timelines, poor communication skills and even worse, her head office is a bunch of lying thieves. Robin Nasserdeen in their head office was no help to me either and just kept saying that I wasn't seeing the big picture. Rest assured I was seeing the big increase in building my home based on their outrageous upgrade prices.

My suggestion, take your money anywhere but Coventry for your new home build. Erika, if you read this I suggest you find a new career, I hear McDonalds is hiring for their Drive-Thru.

Now I already moved in the house. But I find out a lot of problem in the house. I m very disappointed of the Coventry Home! The outside of the house is not done yet! The Island is not straight! This is a big big mistake! Really Bad!!!! The Stair handrail is not smooth and a lot of damage! The door is damage. The Cabinet a lot of gap have to adjust and one door have a small hole but they just fill the glue to cover! I paid a lot money to upgrade. Do I supposed to got this quality? I already told the site supervisor. He promise they will fix it before I move in! but now I ready moved in few weeks already! A lot things is not fix yet and I see more other issues after!
I understand new house will have some issues. But here has too much isn't it? This is my brand new house...haha...

We were initially very excited to be building with Coventry Homes. We were drawn in by their beautiful and unique home designs. We were also impressed by the charismatic sales rep at our local Coventry Homes Sale center. The fact that they were the preferred builders for the Edmonton Oilers also drew us in.

However, after we signed up to build with Coventry, to our dismay, we discovered the following issues even before excavation started:

1. Coventry makes errors and expects us to pay for them.
For four months, the sales rep showed us plans that didn t match up with the price that we had signed on our addendum (apparently, their drafting department missed 20 square feet). On discovering his mistake, he inserted the extra fee of $2600 into the upgrades agreement and tried to get us to sign it without discussing the fee. When we asked him why he had not discussed it with us, he was dishonest with us, saying that he had in fact discussed this.

2. Poor knowledge of the features of the home, dismissive of our questions, and making up facts.
When we asked about the radon detection system, our sales rep dismissed radon as a legitimate health concern, saying that it was more likely for a person to get brain cancer from cell phone usage (radon is in fact the #1 risk factor for lung cancer in non-smokers). He stated that radon detection systems were basically a way for the government to make more money. He also believed that there was a siren on the radon detection system that would go off like a fire alarm, if radon surpassed a certain level.

3. Not giving us a proper timeline and not keeping us updated unless we contact him. Which was followed by an abrupt answer to our inquiry.
Coventry s original timeline was to break ground in January or February, the excavation time is now delayed to end of May. We would have appreciated updates about this delay instead of total silence from our sales rep.

4. 72 hours notice to come up with over $36000.
We had paid over $36000 for the initial deposit for the house back in October of 2017. In May of 2018, we were informed by our sales rep that our next deposit of $36000 was due, and he was only giving us 72 hours to submit the payment. This was ridiculous as 72 hours is not enough time for two full-time professionals to arrange an appointment with our lawyer, meet with the lawyer, and to get our paperwork and cheques ready for payment. Most builders give the client four to six weeks notice before the deposit is due.

In all fairness, we do appreciate the efforts of Coventry Homes assistant manager stepping in to personally oversee our building process, due to the incompetence of our sales rep. We understand that the assistant manager is incredibly busy and yet is willing to sacrifice his time to help us out in this way. We have also heard some very positive feedback from our friends and colleagues who have Coventry built homes. They seem to be happy with the build quality, despite also experiencing an unnecessarily difficult and stressful process due to poor customer service. Hopefully, the building process does not get any worse for us, as we may opt to cancel our build if we don't think building with Coventry is worth the hassle. At this time, we cannot recommend Coventry Homes to anyone for building their new house. We sincerely hope that our sales rep and Coventry Homes will redeem themselves, firstly, through better communication and, secondly, through a quality-built home. If this is the case, we look forward to posting a very positive review of Coventry Homes.

Update:
Thankfully, things went smoothly after the assistant manager took over. The assistant manager was conscientious when it came to details, he was also very professional, which we appreciated. He welcomed all of our questions, and if he didn't know, he consulted the appropriate trade before giving us an informed and honest answer. The home is beautiful, and overall we are impressed with the build quality!

Our 3 month trades day is coming up soon, so we will update our review of Coventry again after that.

I am not a customer of theirs but have been affected by their construction work around my house. Their trades who drive large trucks have driven over my driveway enough times to cause large cracks and damage. Videos of the trucks driving over the driveway have been shared with them. When politely asking them to address this issue, their response was we won t fix it. This is not acceptable. They ve continued to drive over my driveway.

WOW! What can I say about Coventry Homes? SO MUCH!! Chelsea Tripp in Woodbend has been amazing to deal with and is very thorough in every detail when it comes to our new build! She warned us that building a home can be both exciting and stressful, but because of her character and her positivity, we have managed to keep it less stressful and just more exciting!

When we met about a year ago, she sent us on a hunt to look at all of Coventry Showhomes around Edmonton and surrounding area. Super glad we did that because not only did we have a strong connection with her, but with the rest of the staff as well! Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable! We have been to a lot of showhomes/builders in the past year and NONE compared to Coventry! We just have a special bond with Chelsea and we just knew it was the right fit! Truly grateful for Chelsea and all of Team Coventry! Cannot wait to see our build! Odessa 2020 here we come!!!!

We recently purchased from Coventry Homes thru Vanja Lugonja. We can t say enough about him in terms of his professional demeanor, his personable approach and his going above and beyond in his work. From the beginning, we knew we could trust him because of his experience and knowledge of the home building industry. Anytime we had a question, he always got back to us in a timely manner and with the answers we were looking for. He is patient, kind and has become a good friend! We did have a few issues with the build itself however Vanja has continued to be approachable and available to us to help solve any issues we may have, even after the sale. Five star for Vanja. About the build, we still have some concerns, the finishing was not what you would expect from a reputed builder like Conventry homes. Three stars for the builder!

The possession date was delayed for 3 months.

The possession date was delayed for 3 months.
The washer started leaking water during the first run...apparently things got shifted during shipment.
Shingles were flying off of the roof and flapping under high wind. Apparently some were not nailed down. This problem continued even after they came to fix the problem. After almost one year the last few shingles finally got blown away.
When the County came to install the water meter they told me the piping size was incorrect and thus had to get Coventry to fix it. This shows the County inspector did not catch this and trade didn't know the codes are different from those in Edmonton.
Mentioned to Coventry that the sump pump was always working and was told it's due to the heavy rain. Mentioned again 2 - 3 times about this problem thereafter until they agreed to actually check the pump. Pump wasn't installed properly and not working. This would have led to a flood in the basement.
Hardwood floor around dining area started to warp. Took Coventry 3 times to find out what was wrong. This spanned a period of 3 - 4 months. Coventry told me Tyvek wasn't installed and thus the water leak. Now there is a gap between the base board and the new hardwood floor.
When winter came the basement was as cold as outside as if there was no insulation. Told it was normal as it's not a finished basement and basement by definition should be COLD!!! Bugged them 3 times and they found out no insulation done beneath the fireplace in the basement. Coventry said it should have been put in before the fireplace was installed. So had to settle with patch work. Patch work failed to address the issue. They said it's normal to be cold. Coventry came back and admitted the insulation was not adequate and added more. It now seems to be better but I'm now very used to a cold basement. Warped siding at the back of the house and cracked fence. Sent Jenelle email 2 times and it's been 6 weeks still no response. They always made me feel like it's my bad luck to have so many problems and I should feel bad about bugging them to address the problems. Responses from them were usually delayed and took several tries on my part. I should not have used their lawyer to close the deal as I should have asked for a hold back as once they got my money it's on their time line. My "great" experience with Coventry. I guess Coventry really doesn't care about its reputation.

Disappointed. So many issues but rather than list them all here s just one:

The master bathroom shower pan was installed out of level. The water wouldn t drain, eventually Coventry came back to rip out the bottom half of the shower and reinstall it.
After a few months there s a water issue. They came back to add more caulking. However the issue still exists so they came back to take another look. Now they claim there s no problem at all and I m on my own. It s pretty apparent there s a problem but even more apparent they really don t care.

So many other issues - buy from a builder who cares about doing things right. Avoid Coventry.

Update:

Coventry has sent other people out to look, we located the source of the leak and fingers crossed it s taken care of. Raising the number of stars of the review.
Thank you!

We purchased our home from Christian Rose at Coventry and moved in only a couple of weeks ago. He guided us through the process with care, patience and helped make a stressful process, not so stressful. We built a wonderful rapport with Chris and he was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to and quickly understood our vision and helped us to make our dream home come true. We would recommend Coventry and to work with Chris for anyone that would like to build a new home. Thanks Chris for all that you did to make our dream home a reality, :)

I would NEVER recommend the sale service personnel from the Windermere Langdale division...extremely skeptical and questionable business sale tactics...she was apparently "joking" with us when she went behind the scenes and promised that she would write $1000 cheque off of her commission to give us for the harwood upgrade...when we e-mailed her about it she NEVER BOTHERED to reply back and when I had to call her on the phone...she retracted her words so quickly as if it never happened...sales service declined as soon as we put down the 5% deposit...we had also sent an e-mail 2 weeks ago regarding another question to which she NEVER BOTHERED to reply either until we had to physically visit her in person...The head office did not do anything to improve on the situation either...basically just backed up its employee as would be expected...what a shame that this is the kind of sales service you would get from a company that prides itself in being a "reputable" business...

Please do your self a favour and buy a house from a different builder.

One year into my new house I am left with a cracked bathtub, cracked since before possession. Coventry refuses to fix this. The paint is so rough in my house it makes your hands bleed. Not to mention, my floor has squeaked and they have not managed to repair it.

Very friendly until they have your money. No follow through on any service related items, will make up any excuse not to repair items in your house.

This is a great company to work for. I recently had my 5 year anniversary with Coventry Homes and was presented with a wonderful gift. This company truly values their employees as much as their home owners. The staff and management whole heartedly try their best to make everyone's experience positive.

We had a really wonderful experience with Mo Ghafour when buying a new home from Coventry Homes. Mo went the extra mile to make the process the least stressful for all of us. Not only is he very understandable, Mo was extremely informative, reassuring of the situation and was with us every step of the way. For example, we had a problem with the moving date and he resolved the entire problem under the rule and regulations of the situation. Mo was really well-spoken, thorough of the processes of buying a home, informative, honest-spoken and very friendly. I would most definitely recommend Mo to anyone looking to buy a home! Thank you to Mo Ghafour for a great experience with Coventry Homes!

We recently built a home with Coventry and couldn't be happier. We had heard so many bad things about various home builders out there, but were really pleased with the overall experience we had. We almost walked right out of the show home because we weren't huge fans of the layout but the sales person at the time talked to us about making some changes and we ended up building our dream home. Coventry worked so hard to make things exactly how we wanted it and with the extent of changes, it almost ended up being more like a custom build. I know few builders out there would ever even consider doing such changes. We've been living in the home for 6 months now and have had no problems to report. Everything is running smoothly and Coventry has been very good to deal with. We would highly recommend them if you're currently on the hunt for a new home build.

We were looking for a house at North Side, Cy Becker. we see many show homes, sales represent and many options. We are very excited to be building with Coventry Homes, they have many options and beautiful designs. We got help from Sale Rep Yasmine and she did every think to help us and answers all question we have, she shows us verity of show homes, design and all other options to meet our requirements. She also helps us for the mortgage approval.
Many Thanks to Yasmine and Christian.

The group at Coventry Homes have been fantastic. This is the fourth home we have built and the Coventry staff have always been respectful and responsive. I am a busy person so I really appreciated the fact that when I had a question I would get an immediate response from Ron my Sales person or Everett my Site Supervisor. Thanks Coventry

We recently built a house with Coventry, and we couldn't be happier with our new house. It is exactly what we envisioned when we started thinking about building, and Coventry made our dream come true. The attention to detail, and the amount of standard features that comes with Coventry compared other builders was astonishing. Their staff were very helpful when it came to interior choices, and didn't mind giving us a few recommendations of their own. What little deficiencies we did find, were fixed before we even moved in! Thank you Coventry for a great house building experience!

We built a house through Coventry Homes which was ...

We built a house through Coventry Homes which was finished in January of 2016. While pouring concrete for the driveway and walkway several problems were noted. The company who poured the concrete didn't properly barricade the parameter which resulted in a trades worker walking through the concrete and pulling a toolbox through it. This issue was brought up to Coventry who only corrected one portion of the problem (the foot print still remains). This item was again brought up during our 3 month inspection and again during the 1 year inspection. We were repeatedly told that this was a warranty item but a supervisor would have to come to view the damage. Before our 1 year walk-through we noticed that rebar was starting to come through the concrete and again reported this problem to Coventry during our final 1 year walk-through. We were again told that a supervisor would have to come and view this. It has now been over 2 years since we have moved in and we are still trying to have both items addressed. During the last supervisor visit we were informed that they would only repair the foot print and that we were being unreasonable expecting them to repair the location where the rebar was showing through. We provided documentation to Coventry showing the requirements for rebar placement in concrete from the both the Alberta Building Code and Canadian Standard Association which requires the rebar to be 60mm below the concrete surface. Upon providing this information to Coventry we were informed that they are refusing to follow the required standards and will now no longer be repairing the panel with the foot print either. When we spoke with John Barone, their Warranty manager, and asked if they were going to repair our drive way to ensure it meets the required code, he laughed and told us 'no'. It is extremely apparent after discussions with numerous Coventry personnel that they are unaware of the legal codes required for building a house and their blatant refusal to have our driveway repaired to ensure it complies with provincial and federal standards is disgusting. They are clearly not following the guidelines of the Canadian Home Builders Association, of which they claim to be a member.

I had a wonderful experience purchasing my new Coventry Home earlier this year, Darren and Alyssa were great! I didn't know what to expect when going through the process, but with their assistance it was a smooth experience. Possession day was exciting and the walk through was stress free. I was also very happy with the little surprises left for me (soaps, paper towels and floor mop) These little extras were a bonus and made it feel all that more special. Any fixes needed were promptly addressed as well and that was much appreciated. Thank you Coventry for the support and hassle-free process regarding the possession of my new home.

We had the pleasure of building with coventry, working with Zeina Pong through the whole process. Zeina was awesome to say the least- very considerate and extremely knowledgeable, she went the extra mile in ensuring our experience was seamless and stress free- a true professional indeed. Many thanks to Jason as well for his calm and reassuring manner of approach as well as all the staff of coventry who have made our experience a pleasurable one.

I can t speak for their build quality as our home is not completed but I will say Zeina Pong has been an absolute gem to deal with on the sales/customer service level. Her patience, professionalism, knowledge and communication skills are evident in her dealing with us. Zeina s been very helpful and has made the home buying process easier for us. She constantly responds to our messages in a timely fashion and is genuine in all of her dealings with us. It was truly a pleasure to buy a home from Impact/Coventry!

Unfortunately I feel as though Coventry Homes has ...

Unfortunately I feel as though Coventry Homes has failed to deliver on agreements made during the sales process and during the home walkthrough. I felt pressured to purchase the house without being able to add solid conditions to the purchase agreement in regards to rough grading. Due to my mortgage hold back for my landscaping rough grading needed to be done in a timely fashion. I expressed this and it was inferred verbally that there wouldn't be issues if weather cooperated. When I did the walkthrough I once again said that rough grading was my number 1 concern and was told that it would be up to 3 weeks if weather cooperated. There was a failure of communication between their contractor and the landscaper working on the neighbors yard which caused the rough grade to fail. Coventry made it my problem and blamed the landscaper for the issue even though they did not communicate adequately. I personally did not do anything to adversely affect the grade, in my opinion it is Coventry's responsibility to protect their work. I don't know what needs to be done. I was never informed of any requirements that I needed to ensure in regards to adjacent construction.

I pleaded with them to help me with the situation as I am not at fault here. The rough grade is not my responsibility. They were quick to tell me verbal agreements mean nothing and I was even advised that the rough grade may not happen until next year. They said that I can take liability for the rough grade since I had no choice, but continue with completion of the yard. I feel as though they have used every excuse possible to not complete their obligation and force me to take liability. This includes misleading me on my rights as a consumer and the enforceability of verbal agreements. I stand to lose over $30,000 off my mortgage if the landscaping isn't completed this season.

I am now stuck with liability due to what I believe is a refusal to deliver on their obligations. I was informed that their representative and their contractor even came to my home for a meeting that I could not attend, and did not act appropriately with the landscaper. Their contractor allegedly resorted to aggressive and loud language to try and push his point. This type of behaviour has caused my wife anxiety and it makes me wonder if there will be further disturbances. I am not sure what I can do now as I have never been aggressive with my communication. I have simply stated my point of view which apparently does not align with theirs.

Now I will be forced to spend additional money to take these matters to court. I am confident that I can adequately prove my case and win a settlement for my addition costs. This could have been avoided with simple communication.

There are additional issues within the house which have not been addressed as well. There are nails sticking out hidden in the carpet on the stairs which have caused lacerations on my foot on more than one occasion. I submitted a service request on this over a week ago and have not received any sort of response.

I took possession of this home 17 days ago and we have already come to this point. I worry what the next year will bring. This is the typical horror story that you hear about, once the money has changed hands the service completely changes. I cannot advise anyone to use Coventry, and if you plan to use them make sure that absolutely everything is documented and be prepared to enforce your rights.

I got this house built by coventry homes in laurel crossing neighborhood in edmonton.
There are multiple problems with build. I notified coventry about all of them. there are still few problems left untouched.
main one is outside post not straight!
kitchen counter shaking which I have to get fixed from my basement developer. coventry did tried to fix but it but in end told it will stop shaking once basement drywall wall is done!
I tried everything to escalate it to higher management but no one seems taking responsibility for it.
my coventry job #06179 if anyone cares at this company

I bought house built by Coventry one and haf year ...

I bought house built by Coventry one and haf year ago. Here are my list of cons

They are expensive so you expect quality work which is not there.
There warranty department is slowed by their subcontractors. roof shingle and siding damaged by trades took almost a year.

Its always your fault once you sign blueprint. We made some changes to kitchen as result beam was going to showup in middle of kitchen cabinets no one told us that beforehand and later they changed 500 for admin fee and 1500 for other beam so that they can hide it in ceiling.
Interior doors are closing by themselves as door jamb is not level. Outside main post is not straight they forgot to use something called "level". They promised to fix both of these problems will update once it happens in about year from now!
Kitchen island is shaking if someone walks by. They nailed 2x4x14 in basement which solved 40 percent problem and we were told once we finish developing basement problem will disappear!
If they can't fix it with $600k house how i can expect paying 30k to bsmt developer and ask to fix kitchen island shake.
Today I called warranty team complain about island is still more like same and was told to contact alberta home warranty. So I called them was told its more than a year so they cant do anything.
they intentionally dely your warranty work or do bandage fix for your problems. Once a year is over then you cant do anything about it.

My advice to you is if you are going to build with them get everything in writing. Ask sales person if you change anything is it going to cause any other changes as well.
Regarding warranty if within 11 months there are still problems pending report them to alberta new house warranty otherwise they are going to deny as well!!

Some assembly required. Drywall came loose on my sons house after a few years as they glued most of it with minimal screws. The glue is letting loose causing drywall to bounce off the studs as you walk down the hall etc. We had to throw in about 600 screws to fix the issues. Don't allow a home builder to use more glue than screws.

We recently moved into our retirement new home in Woodbend Leduc. All through the building process we have had really good experience. It was never to much for our sales person to answer any questions we had. The site superintendent was also great to work with.

We really like the quality of the home and hope to spend many happy years here.

Overall my experience with Coventry is excellent. This is my second home. Looking forward to building the third. The only time I will build with another builder is if Coventry Homes don t have what I want or the timing for possession won t work for me especially when its an investment property.

I bought a home from Coventry and the help I received from Lorna and Elena was outstanding!!! This was my first time buying a new home and they explained and helped me through this process with understanding and patience to my endless questions. Both were rays of sunshine that brightened my stressful day. :) My walk through was easy and Jason who was leading the walk through for Coventry made everything easy to remember and a pleasure to deal with. Jason knows his construction well. The free move in gifts were a nice touch on a truly professional company.
I will recommend Coventry to any who are looking for a new home.

We have just Just bought a home couple of days ago and will attest to outstanding customer relationship and professional performance of Derrick Beach and Yasmin. All through the process they had a deep sense of connection and interest in getting us the desired home specification as we needed something a bit more than ordinary. Yasmin seemed like a sister to my wife and Derrick seemed like our personal consultant. Derrick has an amiable countenance and patience. I give this team 99% not because I have to but because they are not just working to be paid but have a way of making you feel great even if you are not eventually going to buy from them. It would have been a 100% apart from the fact that we missed our referral which ideally should not if they had a good documentation process where this details could be filled out from the onset.

Erika our salesperson in Emerald hills was GREAT. The quality of our build is phenomenal, we are so happy we went with Coventry. Erika worked so hard, gave up great feedback and is the main reason we love our house so much today. We were a complex build with about $350K in customization. Our only significant concern that that the warranty team, even though they did great work, seemed quite disorganized and very difficult to get a hold of. Short staffed? We needed to continue calling to ensure that warranty work was completed. That being said, some work that we never expected to be warrantied, actually was. However our issues with the Warranty Dept were either on par with or far less concerning than other friends who built at the same time with other builders. Almost every contractor was top notch, we found very few short cuts -> We paid for a house inspection as we could not believe how few issues there were, even our house inspector was very quite impressed. Overall we are extremely pleased with our house, blown away by Erika's help, and very happy we built with Coventry. Very good price, excellent house.

I used to be in residential construction. just saw one of Coventry houses under construction/framing stage. I was VERY impressed with the quality of it since I did not see any deficiencies no matter it had not been finished yet. BTW: I am very picky to say at least... I am glad to see that we still have such a builder in Edmonton area. I have had absolutely no relations with Coventry. my friends bought a house from them and wanted me to see if their house was built right. Good job so far!
