Definitely coming back here next time we're in Toronto. The rooms were great, the location is wonderful, the price was right.

It was clean and the room was large. The bed was comfortable. There were several places to plug in and charge devices with either a standard plug or USB port. The staff are nice and helpful. Check in and out was quick and easy. The location is great. 2 blocks from Dundas-Yonge square, the subway is around the churner and there is a bus stop and streetcar stop across the street. Good food and neat shops nearby. There were taxis right out front almost all the time. The indoor pool and hot tub were clean. They also have a counter service restaurant and bar.
Nice hotel, but expensive. The valet staff are quite pushy.
Was decent the food was extra expensive for very small portions
This was our third time staying at the CDT. It was as great as our previous visits. Check in was a breeze. The room was clean and well appointed. The valet service was amazing. 10/10 would go back.
Cons: I Just stayed there for two days. After our first night of stay, we returned to find the room was not cleaned, beds did get spread over, but the dirty facecloth I had left on table and the stains, water marks on the table from a pop spill or contact lens solution spill, still there. All was obvious, so not hard to see. Floor did not get vacuumed, there were bits of white paper or something to that affect on the rug and the next day after the first day of our stay,it was still there. The bathroom floor still had hair on it, yuck.
The "maid" cart was in the hall on a number of occasions while we were there, never once saw the vacuum come off the cart. I guess when the hotel went green it included using minimal hydro. Three people staying in the room, only supplies for two (the arrangements called for three of us in the room, so the hotel knew ahead of time). However, I could have called for more towels or supplies, but I would have thought that when I checked in that they would have "thought" of this. Two paper coffee cups only, two glasses on bathroom counter, no enough for us, never mind if we wanted to have a guest to our room. I also found the rooms to be very understated, nothing momentous at all.
When I went to check out, there were about 50 - 60 or so students lined up to check out, I just asked the concierge if I could by pass the process, he said yes. I am hoping everything will go well in terms of the charges for the two nights stay, but I did want to tell the hotel how I felt "they did" in terms of my stay, but I was not asked about that. No one tried to keep order in the lobby, very hard to make your way through the lobby and to get out with luggage. My exit was certainly not as nice or expedited in the same way as my arrival. No one said "may I help you, or assist?"
Pros: Wonderful greeting when we arrived by the door men, wonderful service at check in by a young woman named Sharlene I believe. Nice to have public free wi fi in lobby area, would be nice to have in room.
Over all, I can say that I had just come from staying in another hotel the weekend before in Vancouver and that hotel is classified as 5 star as well, and yet, the standard rooms, do not even compare...Vancouver room, far, far superior, robes, luxury towels, etc, fireplace, ipad to control drapes, lights, heating. The lights in our room at this Marriott, not good, use a switch or push button, very old fashioned. But they did work and serve the purpose.
This hotel is close to public transportation and also many attractions. It is also near lots of shopping. There is also lots of restaurants within the area
We had a wonderful time. The room was clean and the staff were friendly!
Excellent location. Room was clean and comfortable with nice decor. Not too keen on the sink not being in the bathroom but we managed. Front desk was courteous and quick. Would stay here again.
I was picking up guest there was enough parking for me to wait in downtown. Which is big plus.
The hotel was quite good and has a great location. The rooms are nothing special, and the service was great.
Beautiful place and wonderful staff
I had some friends visiting I suggested you're facility.
Here of a union educational. Nice clean rooms. Good beds. Nice staff.
Parking was pricy with taxes, elevators were small and hallway on higher levels hot and outdated. The room was large, clean, and more modern. Area is near the heart of downtown. Construction all throughout the area. Minimal options for vegan in direct area. Staff were professional, housekeeping was great, issues resolved in timely manner.
Very cozy stay wonderful place to lay your head down before a busy day
So far its beautiful clean and the staff is so nice
Location can be loud with the noise of traffic. Room was clean and comfortable. Sheets didn't really fit the bed properly, and hence popped off during the night. Staff was excellent and very helpful.
Great atmosphere, fast and friendly service at the bar
Great location, lovely rooms, bits of street noise is the only downside.
Nice clean room and a good view of Yonge st. Checking In and out was nice and smooth and the valet service was nice and quick.
Ya it's a nice hotel but the experience with one person that destroyed a great stay. Well I am having a great day my wife and child has planned for me. Until we came here. The person that checked us in either had a bad day or something. Or if you have a friend booked you a room that works for Marriott. She gave us such a bad experience checking in that I don't even want to stay. She was giving us a hard time about not having a credit card for a deposit. We never had to give a deposit before. We had to give her all our cash for the deposit and she quietly said "its what we do here." Her name it rina no smile no welcoming feeling at all. We like staying with courtyard. But this experience made us not want to come back to this hotel location ever again. She made us feel like we don't deserve to be at this hotel. Usually if you get put in a room that is beside a elevator they ask if you mind first . She didnt even tell us about it.she needs to be else where then a customer service job. I'm not happy about this experience at all. I'm going to talk to our friend about this.
Just stopped in for a quick event. Layout and signs are confusing. Lots of stairs for no visible reason. But is is clean and well kept. Plenty of staff available during busy times.
Price was excellent, super clean, awesome, over the top friendly staff.
Very large room, planty of room and very comfortable.
Very friendly staff and extremely patient and courteous with our team when we were setting up for a Business function recently. Kudos to the AV guy for installing a small screen, then being asked to replace it with a larger screen, then getting a projector and table (apparently someone on our side had forgotten to fill these items in on the request). But the fellow did not getting ruffled. The breakfast was very nice, and the staff was very attentive at clearing used plates; allowing our clients to listen to the presentation and not worry about 'stuff' being in the way as they took notes. Overall, a very professional location in downtown Toronto for a meeting.
Professional staff services, clean modern lobby and amenities.
Room is clean. Small pool and hot tub down but friendly service
Great location! I wish I could have stayed longer to appreciate the Starbucks lounge down stairs and the Bar Lounge. I would have loved to spend more time in that neighbourhood. Room was great.
Everything was awesome until we went to leave and they informed us we had to pay for vallet parking $35 even though we paid the valley guy the day before but BC we didn't have receipt we had to pay again. This means the vallet guy from the day before when we checked in pocketed our money. BC he wouldn't even take our keys unless we gave him the money. Other than that the room was very clean, very spacious, and staff was friendly until when we were checking out. They didn't want to help us out at all, with the vallet situation. Would recommend to others but be careful with the valet parking, make sure you get a receipt.
Very nice room with a large bed, desk and couch. The free wifi was plenty fast, and I felt no need to pay for the premium speeds. I was able to check my suitcase for a few hours after checking out. Staff were very friendly and professional.
The place is getting a little old, but extra points for friendly staff and the corner suite they gave me for the week!
Great location, nice facilities, wonderful customer experience!
I am a platinum elite member of Marriott Bonvoy and had a recent stay at the hotel. The hotel and rooms were clean and nice, although parking was fairly high per day. The staff were friendly as well as accommodating during majority of the stay, providing information on local events and answers to questions that may have arised. The place was somewhat on the outskirt of the downtown area and it took a few minutes to get to where majority of the populus spent the day at (where the mall is, and tons of eateries.) The hotel had a beautiful view of the city and we were placed on a nice level not too far from the elevator and not too close to noise. There was a large gym and pool area in the basement of the facility and most importantly, the bathrooms were all clean- both in the bedroom and the ones on the different floors of the property. The valet took a bit of time to bring and drop off our vehicle but that was because of the amount of reservations during the course of our visit. I wish parking was included in the rate at which I booked at and assumed it was going to be managed but other than this small hiccup my friends and I enjoyed our time in Toronto, CA.
Rooms were clean, the hotel itself seemed clean. Great location. They provided these little water dispensers filled with fruit which was delicious. Only major negative was on check in our room wasn't ready til after 5pm,
Lovely hotel although don't keep your room key in pocket with cell phone as it demagnetized the card
Wish they had a mobile app that was my key to my room and I can skip the seemingly endless check-in experience.
Fantastic location in downtown Toronto; room was clean and well-kept but the running water in the tap wasn't working too well; lobby was nice and the front desk was helpful
Room was very a clean and spacious. When we ate the food came quickly and was pretty good, nothing amazing though. Service was fantastic and knew exactly what to recommend me to drink.
I'm not usually a fan of the Courtyard brand, but this hotel goes beyond. I had a great stay. The staff was amazing. They exceeded my expectations in every way.
This is a great 3 star hotel. Service is excellent and the rooms comfortable. Stayed during Pride and the location for Pride can t be beat.
Renovations were going on so it wasn't looking its best while we were there but service was good and the room was much nicer than the one we had at the Chelsea.
Great location. Close to lots of restaurants and a large grocery store. There is valet parking available.
Very good hotel in excellent location, only do not have VIP room and they close brickfast buffe restorante.
Large rooms @ a central downtown location. Impeccable service.
Upon arriving in our room we had no hot water. Called for service- were told to let water run a few minutes. Took about 10 mins. Our toilet became plugged up due to very low flush water pressure and low water fill. We had two btls. of plain water on a table referenced as a welcome gift. An empty glass would serve the same function. Spare me. Insulting ! They provided a few individual single pks. of coffee to use in their single serve coffee maker provided, but no sugar or cream pkgs. We have stayed at the Chelsea many times in the past (a block away), for about the same price and our accommodations were far better and all around experiences there. We also didn't have to pay $35/day for parking. When on a wknd. you can't chk. in until the afternoon and have to chk. out by noon that hardly constitutes a full day for either day partial day we were there.
This is a nice hotel. You can walk around there is plenty of stuff to do around
Everything is still renovating. Only one elevator and almost got trapped
The front desk was friendly and had some bilingual staff. The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is near the Eaton Center, with rent-a-bikes nearby. The concierge recommended some good restaurants with walking distance.
Friendly staff and very clean rooms. Next to quite a few restaurants and bars.
Great rooms, lots of helpful staff, and proper amenities. We will be back
Clean and spatious accommodations coupled with a delightful and energetic staff made for an enjoyable overnight business trip. Ben at the front desk was extremely helpful and memorable for his passion and knowledge. Location felt well connected to the urban realm and the staff provided helpful wayfinding assistance to our out of town group.
Clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious.
I visited this Marriot located in Downtown Toronto as part of a two day work conference. The amenities and the room I was provided were great. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Attended a professional event. Staff were friendly and forthcoming. Avenue was nice and clean
