Courtyard by Marriott Denver Cherry Creek Review

Meeting room on 11th floor has spectacular views. Great place to have an event!

Nice room for a business trip and while the outside looks a little dated, my room inside was modern. I especially enjoyed the breakfast here which came with the room. There's an omelette and waffle cook in addition to the standard Continental breakfast which was a nice surprise and waitress offered us coupon for coffee at the lobby Starbucks.

We loved our stay here! All of the staff were very helpful and so friendly. Room was very clean and the beds were very comfy! I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

By far hardest hotel I ever had to rate since service and amenities are so excellent for comparable class hotel, but the bed is very bad. If Bed and TV were updated would be much better. So here is my entire rating list used to keep this objective-
1. Curb Appeal and Location- 5 (Beautiful Hotel with outside restaurant seating. Best Courtyard I have seen in CO. Very Close to Downtown, but not in it, which is a plus. Lots of good restaurants and Cherry Creek Mall nearby)
2. Front Desk Service- 5 (Friendly and helpful. Could not be better.)
3. Food Service 5 (Friendly and helpful. Could not be better.)
4. Food Quality- 3 (Breakfast was okay nothing out of the ordinary luckily service we great.)
5. Bar- 2 (Because of Wedding, Multiple Soccer teams and Saturday night and 1 person doing bar waits where forever. So, gave up and went back to my room where the service is excellent. Also, only 3 beers on tap and bartender was not setup at opening at 5PM. Finally, food was not bad, but had to wait over 30 minutes for it since wedding sucked up all the resources)
6. Amenities- 5 (Pool and Hot Tub are clean and new looking indoor area. Has great computer area and restaurant area is all new and updated)

8. Room Bed Comfort- 1 (Counts as 2 because of toll it can take on you. I have stayed at the majority of Hilton and Marriott properties in Denver and this by far is the worst bed)

10. Room View- 5 (Nice view of Downtown and Rockies)
11. Room TV and Entertainment- 2 (TV is small compared to other top floors rooms in hotels I have stayed in, but it does have Internet TV like Netflix and external HDMI does work with computer just not readable at distance)
12. Room Bathroom 3 (Smallest I have seen but is clean and updated and functional. Almost no counter space)39
13. Room Amenities- 3 (Has Microwave and Refrigerator and both seem to work well but a little small. Also, has Iron, but no safe. Refrigerator did freeze one soda before I turned it down)

15. Room Cloths Storage- 3 (Does Cloths Storage Cabinet but not real closet. Has adequate space in draws. Bed End Tables were small. All Storage Units were dated, and little beat up)
16. Room Environment- 3 (Air Condition and Air Quality was good did not smell nasty cleaning solution and air could go down to 66 but not to full 60 which is surprising for window unit)
17. Room Noise Level- 2 (Not Noisy 1st day but on 2nd seems everyone was in hallway and sound just went right through front door. Also, the 11th floor wedding made horrible noise on ceiling. Not good to be on top floor if you still have noise above you)
18. Internet Speed- 2 (I am premium member and measure based on others equally. This was 5.8 upload and 2.77 which is very slow.)
19. Price- 4 (Higher than normal but is lower than most comparable hotels in that area for this stay day)
20. Frequent Travelers Benefits- 4 (Better than normal for a Courtyard)
21. Likelihood of Coming Back- 3 (For long term stay no way because of the bed, but short term
the Hot Tub can make up for the bed)
22. Elevators- 4 (Most I have ever seen in a Courtyard with 3. Adequate when at hotel is at capacity like this weekend)
23. Housekeeping- 3 (Did the normal leave the dead bold backward door slams and were not very good at greeting customers and were working past 5 PM. Single person was not enough to get done in reasonable time (Understaffed like Bar). Also, seems no one is in charge of keeping towels supplied at the pool. They were out most of the time.)
Average- 3.17 or 3

Staff was great. Wish there was better dinning options in the building or just a better menu. There are plenty of restaurants around as options though.

I had some personal items stolen from my room and the hotel was very unprofessional when resolving the situation. They did not follow up with me when I reported the theft and after complaining, I was told to fill out a police report. When I checked out on Saturday and asked to speak to a manager, I was told they were not there on weekends. I asked them to call him and when I spoke with him he told me they can't prove I brought the shoes in. I was a bit frustrated with this answer. I had to get to the airport and did not have time to negotiate with the manager on the phone for something that should have been taken care of previously. I would recommend everyone dump their suitcase out on the front desk so they can log what you came in with.

I'm not sure how this hotel has earned it's rating. Maybe fake reviews? It has sinks and bathtubs that don't drain, toilets that barely flush, an iron that is so old you can't tell how much water is in it. On top of that add non-existent guest services (don't try to reach anyone from your room via the phone) and you have the Courtyard Marriott at Cherry Creek. I'm a lifetime Marriott member who travels to Denver multiple times a month, and I definitely will NOT be back to the Courtyard Marriott at Cherry Creek.

I stayed here for ten days in June. The accommodations were exactly what I expected. The staff was awesome! Sandy and Hooda from the Bistro were always attentive and made breakfast enjoyable. I had a minor problem with my final bill and management took care of it immediately. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

Very helpful/friendly staff. Modern furnishings and well kept. Great location in relation to several restaurants and bars.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The location was good for my needs allowing me to walk to where I needed to go while in Denver. Room had a refrigerator which was appreciated and was nicely sized with lots of plugs for charging equipment. Only issue was the HVAC cycled a lot making sleep not as good as it could have been. Overall good experience.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was not expansive in Denver. The breakfast is really good compared to other hotels.

Attended a professional meeting here. The meeting room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the mountains. Food was decent, nothing to write home about.

I had an extended stay where while on work travel. The staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast options. I would recommend this hotel to travelers.

I have stayed at this Courtyard quite often for business and always have been greeted with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. The hotel is super clean, rooms are great, and it carries a small food/snack store. If you are able, definitely request a West facing room (on a higher level if possible). As the photos show there will be plenty of opportunity to take some breathtaking pictures. Especially in the late afternoon when the Spring and Summer squalls roll in. I was fortunate enough to be there for the setting of a Full Super-Moon over the Rocky Mountains (see photo). The hotel is convenient to businesses, shopping, and tons of concert venues. ***Why not make your stay a part of the adventure???***

Overall a great room. a little smaller than you might expect but very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. the Bistro is great at what it does and a Starbucks in the lobby is always a nice touch.

The rooms are clean and unique. They aren't very large but are well laid out. WiFi is available for free. My only complaint was that there was a fan for the bathroom but no switch to turn it on to be found. The staff has been incredibly friendly as well.

Decent hotel, nice outdoor space and lobby, had a noticeable roof leak while I was there, though, which was a bit odd. No one seemed to be addressing it quickly.

Staff was helpful, room was clean, all facilities were well maintained.

They let me switch rooms and gave my daughter a toy out of there bin when we left

Sadly worst Marriott I ve been to...

I believe the woman was named Tasha, I booked my reservation on a Saturday and called and explained to the front desk that I will be arriving to Denver in the morning the next day (6AM to be exact), then I was told they swapped over for me to check in the morning so I will for sure have a room next thing you know I arrive to Denver and was told by the lady Tasha that there are no rooms and there won t be any available until the afternoon, I was super frustrated as it is early in the morning and for me to be told there are no rooms and that she was on the call yesterday and she said they don t guarantee anything well if you guys don t then why did you say it!!!! Oh but I can always come later I said that s not the problem I don t live here or have a place to go and I booked this yesterday .... anyways I ve been to many Marriotts as I am a member and this specific on in Denver Colorado was the worse I ve ever been to due to the poor customer service.

In other news thank god the other Marriott down the road had availability therefore I can check in, so I don t have to find a place to stay or something to due until the afternoon... and NO the courtyard Marriott did not call the other Marriott to help me out I did.

Professional and Courteous Staff but room wasn't ready as advertised. Sofa bed was horrible. Labelled "Premium" room but nothing premium about it.

Solid hotel centrally located for business travelers

Location is great, the staff are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!
The bathrooms are too small and compact.

Stephanie and Janice were great. The hotel was truly amazing, room view was impeccable , the Rockies in the background was everything. Breakfast buffet was a bit pricey but the food was phenomenal. Location was pretty much a center for downtown Denver, about 2 hours from the Rocky Mountains, 1 1/2 hours from echo mountain and maybe 30 minutes from lookout mountain. Would stay here again.

This hotel has some great upgrades they've always been very accommodating their suites are really unique for an older hotel it's a very very clean and well run.

I started at courtyard Marriott on the 8th floor facing Colorado. It off the window was a nice view of the city. The bistro had decent food and the restrooms were really clean.

Not a "green" hotel, they do not recycle. Watch your bill when checking out, a few extra charges showed up on mine. Very small workout room, but the room was clean, and comfly. Pretty centrally located, which is good, but watch out for traffic anytime after 2:30p on any given day. A few shops and restaurants within walking distance.

I understand a new manager started last year - his latest touches are great! Added a fun hot chocolate bar during a cold spell, a wide variety of fruit infused water, handwritten notes in the rooms... very nice additions.

The hotel is fine, a typical Courtyard. Coffee maker in the room. Solid, though limited, options at the on-site cafe that's open for breakfast and dinner. Free parking, though it's barely in Cherry Creek, not close enough to walk to good restaurants, shops, etc.

The staff is incredibly welcoming, even gave me a toothbrush and toothpaste because I had forgotten mine! The hotel is modern and always clean, with a vibrant palette across the hotel and rooms. Will be back in the future!

Arrived my first day checked in to room and was very pleased. Description of room was surprisingly accurate and very comfortable. Staff friendly and attentive.

Had a rough first night in Denver, it was a relief to check into our hotel without an issue. Had an unpleasant visitor in our room, but Stephanie upgraded our room and comped us for the night , which become the highlight of our trip. Waking up to the beautiful mountain view was amazing. We're already planning our return trip and want a similar room again.

Clean and comfortable place, great service and plenty of food options around.

Very loud, right on a busy street. Toilet didn't flush, shower broken, moldy shower curtain. They promised me Marriot points to make up for bad experience, but they never came through. On top of that they charged my card $40.00 3 weeks after my stay.

Friendly staff with a nice bar and outdoor patio seating.

My event was held in the lounge/bar area. Staff was very friendly and professional. Lounge area offered a spacious setting that I really enjoyed. Definitely would recommend this location

No complaints during recent (AUG19) business trip. Clean / welcoming lobby with everything you needed and especially appreciated the boarding pass kiosk.

For the price you pay here....no free breakfast no free coffee One omlet and some hard pancakes $32 I told them our room was not the cleanest Nothing done I guess lesson learned when looking for a deal.

Excellent service and very clean rooms with Netflix built into the. Only downside is that there is no room service (you can order and go pick it up) and the fitness room has very few choices besides treadmills (one adjustable bench and some dumbbells; no machines)

Had two rooms, one on second floor and one on nineth floor. Nineth was better for view and not a connecting room with a family next door. Breakfast buffet was good especially for made to order omelette and waffles.
