Courtyard by Marriot Nusa Dua Review

Great stay. Beautiful staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Food was great. Pools beautiful. Would stay again.

Great service, satisfying breakfast, wonderful pool, nice kids club, and delicious dine in menu. I cannot say any less for this staycation. Everybody kept asking where I was staying the whole time I posted something on my instagram.. because the pool was indeed gorgeous! There was a table tennis too, and inflatables for your kids in the children pool. Definitely a family friendly hotel, and it's now on top of my list when I need to visit Bali next time.

We checked in the day before Bali Denpasar Airport was closed at 7am on Monday 27th November 2017 due to Mount Agung activity. The uncertainity of when the airport would be open again made our stay restless. The staff were all without exception and helpful. The man who made our rooms were out of his way to make beautiful birds with the towels as well as make wonderful shapes with the bed runner. The man at the gym knew which channel I wanted to watch as I worked on the treadmill. All these things helped to put the thoughts of not being able to leave far away.
When airport reopened at 3pm on Wednesday, Niki (is her name Nsara?) helped us contact our airlines. As Niki spoke patiently and clearly to the Malaysian Airlines representative over the phone to confirm my flight for the next day. Niki was not successful in contacting AirAsia but said she would follow up in the morning. In the morning my colleague went up to reception and whilst we did not see Niki there we learnt that she had left instructions to call AirAsia. Unfortunately AirAsia did not pick up the call. Later in the afternoon when I checked out it was a smiling Niki who received me.
This is my second stay here, the first in 2012 and I am happy to be back again.

Amazing hotel, reception, cleaning service and friendly waiters and super delicious food ... the swimming pool makes us feel like swimming in the wild because the swimming pool is equipped with trees ...

Great hotel very cozy, a place to relaxing and i love the swiming pool it like swimming pool heaven, incl Jacuzzi. Spacious parks and you can take bicycle for 2hour free. The food is very good love it.

Stunning proppery with wonderful staff. Rooms are comfy and well equipped. We stayed in a pool view room which had a nice balcony.

Terrific location. Huge swimming pool and elaborate gardens. Comfortable rooms and great restaurants. Staff is very professional and courteous.

Loved the resort! 5 star service. Great breakfasts and many complimentary activities such as beach yoga, biking etc. There are plenty activities for the kids as well. It is not beach front but there is a shuttle going to the beach club regularly otherwise its a 5 min walk. Resort has a lazy pool, jacuzzi and 2 large pools.

Very pleasant stay in a hotel with irreproachable and very warm service. The breakfast was delicious and the meals generally too. Special thanks to Andy from the pool restaurant for his sympathy and professionalism. We highly recommend.

It's quite cozy and all. But for a first-timer, it can get pretty confusing if you want to go around.

Courtyard is linked to Marriott Vacation Club and shares the same grounds. Beautifully landscaped lawn and layout. A great place for a quiet getaway.

It was here because there were BKKBN events all over the world ... so I worked as a daily worker as a hospitality desk so I could be placed in hotels so that it became a place of information for the participants ... well right at this participant hotel that I handle from India , china, korea, pakistan, america .. this hotel is really good .. even though I am not an employee of this hotel I am treated well, the GM and the manager are friendly and the other employees are also friendly and help me ... especially FO I help very much so I know which participant has checked in ... thankyou so much courtyard marriot Nusa Dua

When I went, the security was very strict. I had to go through two big gates first. There was a security search for the car. The police were too guarded. It was necessary to bury the X-ray machine before entering the hotel, which was stricter than the airport!
The hotel room is large and comfortable, the pool is large and the food is good!

In the middle of the city, the facilities are okay, the prices are also affordable, so lovely!

It was a happy experience staying at this hotel. The staff is extremely professional, very well trained and goes out of the way to make one satisfied with stay. Breakfast options are great. Overall wonderful to stay here. Thanks Mariott Courtyard.

Best time ever, just spent 5 days there. The staffs are amazing, truly kind and they really gentle and caring for the guesses. The rooms are spacious but a bit dated nothing wrong with it but something to look after it.
The restaurant and bar are bit pricey but great drinks and nice food. The spa is very expensive but amazing.
We will be there in next year for sure.

I (Rom), the stay with fam dr on the 15th to 19th was satisfied with service and friendliness in almost all parts of receptionis, concierge, cleaning staff, restaurant staff ... almost all ... with yoga classes and yoga classes that were ok ... .

But unfortunately we were disturbed by mosquitoes, but breakfast ... if breakfast isn't comfortable ...

The staffs are super nice and the security do their duty as per standard. The lobby interior is good although not so special. The only minus thing is how the motorbike park is so dark until one of security guard has to spot the flashlight on me. The access from gate to lobby is also too dark. Need to put more concern to this light issue. I dont know if it's the managament decision to design it that way or what.

Twin selling points are very large, resort hotels, comfortable not noisy.

The pools they have are just exquisite. In fact, they have 2 and both are shrouded in trees and shades. Well, I guess they have to have emphasize on them pools for Marriott ain t no beach side resort. They do have a beach club where you can More

First.... if I talk about this hotel... i only can said silly... when i arrive that hotel, security was really not friendly... stop at the gate and after that they ask my name to driver... and 2nd..., I'm is one of dog lover... and that hotel are use the dog to check the car... and really... the dog is dont know how to do... i this is not K9 dog... really sad to seen the dog situation... thirsty and hungry... and because when i arrive is to late maybe the front dest staffs are sleepy... they not do services like usually... by the way... i just can say... thanks mike... i wont be there again... its suck

All good with one but which is a major one got me. Water is just not hot enough to take a nice hot relaxing bath.

Don't eat outside while breakfast, beware of the chipmunk that will ruin your perfect breakfast

The place is comfortable. The room is normal. But for the top facilities. High class. Good and friendly service. The food is also pretty, for a really cool atmosphere.

I was staying in the nusa dua garden, and came over to courtyard for the breakfast. The staff were courteous, always greeted us at eye contact. My 1st request for coffee was forgotten, but on the 2nd, it was delivered to my table. Food option and variety was good, with selection of local and western. Live station include egg, noodle. The swimming pool is standard, no lap pool for serious swimmers, with some free floats. There is no specific baby pool in garden, so we used the 1 in courtyard. The kids got bored pretty fast. Location is quite far from most of the attractions, and the traffic jam in this city is quite bad. There is kids activity room with playstation, table tennis, and small slide with ball pool. That entertained the kids quite abit. There are cable on tv room. Overall, I recommend this resort if you are looking to relax in hotel and not intending to explore much.

A gem of a place. Every staffs were great to us. Special mention to Agus and Tini fr housekeeping for the impeccible work and Gede Santana aka Carlos for helping us with the impossible.... find some scotch tape to fix an emergency. Love every minute of the 4 days we r here and so did the kids. Hope to come back soon.

The hotel is an excellent choice for your holiday in Bali. The service of this hotel is fantastic. Absolutely all the staff from the doorman to the manager always smiling and trying their best to make your stay more pleasant. The manager, Leo is involved in all the process and takes care personally of every guest. Their private Beach Club offers good quality service, best location in Nusa Dua for surfers and also for having a swim.

Staying at the hotel doesn't seem to believe that it's above average but very pleasant. The calm tempt. Klw, when I arrived in the morning accompanied by tame squirrels and those who were certain, the tomb was delicious

It is fabulous hotel. Great for families with their amazing pools and lazy river. Staff is extremely friendly and lovely. Thanks to Novita the house keeping staff and the f&b staff for always serving us with a smile.

There were not many Koreans. The caustic rain is okay, but a bit obscure. It is a point that is not very luxurious or very cheap. One elementary school student daughter and a couple stayed. The pool was very satisfactory and breakfast was okay. But the swimming pool is smaller and the resort size is smaller than the Ayana Mulia. It is a bit disappointing to have booked a room without a bathtub. The staff was very friendly and the room condition was ok. It was nice to be able to rest quietly.

Nightmare! Very bad hospitality. And i had the worst view from my room, which is a parking lot. Thanks tho and happy new year.

I've been thinking of writing this review for awhile, and I will begin with saying my review has nothing to do with the attitudes of the staff, which were all very warm and positive. But overall I had a negative experience. Google lists this hotel as being 5 star. I have stayed in several 5 star hotels and this is 4 star on its best day. (If you want 5 star in Bali go to Ayana, which from my two night experience was amazing).

To begin with, entering Marriott Nusa Dua felt like being delivered to a secure compound. I get that Bali has had some security issues, but the arrival experience here felt like that of a prison or military barracks. There was no obvious pedestrian path leading out, and so I didn't feel like I could just take a 10 minute walk to the beach. All ins and outs favored shuttles and cars, which went through a security inspection. I felt captive.

Next, the bed was soft and muggy; the A/C in the room must not be run often enough because everything felt absorbed of dampness. I should have inspected the bed much more closely but I was tired from the long flight and car ride, because I ended up getting bitten by bed bugs. The resulting reaction took a couple of months to go away and I still have a slight scars.

The build-quality of the room was poor. I have posted pics of the gaps in the door, which probably explains why there was a mosquito in the room on arrival (which I hunted down before sleeping), and perhaps the dampness.

Speaking of mosquitoes, my room overlooked the pool, above the breakfast area. The mosquitoes were terrible around the pool in the morning making it impossible to relax and enjoy breakfast. I had to swat away mosquitoes and flies several times per minute. I included a pic of the pool from the view of the breakfast table.

After the first night I looked into other hotels in town on the internet and when I tried to place a call to another hotel I was directed to the hotel operator, through whom all calls are apparently placed and I was informed of the premium which would be added to my bill if I wanted to make a call. This further added to the feeling of captivity. The next day I went out and got a local sim, which I was unable to do the first night because of my late-arriving flight.

I would definitely not stay here again. From feeling captive, to the bugs, to the inability to really feel relaxed in the room, to feeling discouraged from just going for a walk to the beach, my memories of this property are all colored negatively.
