We checked in the day before Bali Denpasar Airport...

We checked in the day before Bali Denpasar Airport was closed at 7am on Monday 27th November 2017 due to Mount Agung activity. The uncertainity of when the airport would be open again made our stay restless. The staff were all without exception and helpful. The man who made our rooms were out of his way to make beautiful birds with the towels as well as make wonderful shapes with the bed runner. The man at the gym knew which channel I wanted to watch as I worked on the treadmill. All these things helped to put the thoughts of not being able to leave far away.
When airport reopened at 3pm on Wednesday, Niki (is her name Nsara?) helped us contact our airlines. As Niki spoke patiently and clearly to the Malaysian Airlines representative over the phone to confirm my flight for the next day. Niki was not successful in contacting AirAsia but said she would follow up in the morning. In the morning my colleague went up to reception and whilst we did not see Niki there we learnt that she had left instructions to call AirAsia. Unfortunately AirAsia did not pick up the call. Later in the afternoon when I checked out it was a smiling Niki who received me.
This is my second stay here, the first in 2012 and I am happy to be back again.
