Country Inn & Suites by Carlson, Candolim Goa Review

. Lovely clean hotel. Great location.just out of the way but close to all the bars/ restaurants and a 10-15mins slow walk to the beach. 2 down sides. Not enough sun loungers around the pool. There's lots of space for more so why not buy some. 20 beds is terrible. So everyday we went to the beach and spent money there instead of the hotel. The 3nd is the head cleaner was a total pest. We had 4 rooms between us and he got on all our nerves. He didn't even clean the rooms. But each evening hung around waiting for us to come back to our rooms. Would sort of push is way into our rooms asking if we want water. Toilet rolls etc asking if rooms were clean. Waiting for a tip. He was a total pest!!! When he wasn't around we gave the actual cleaners tips after we sussed him out.. 3rd I am a vegan. Took me 8 days of asking before I got soya milk for a coffee.

Extremely good and Eco-friendly place with each & every needful things available here. Staffs and all the members are good. Ambiance is mesmerizing here. Had a great fun time in Goa.

Good Hotel in condalim, in house restaurant also good, vegetarian food available in restaurant,but little expensive. Very helpfull staff.

Hi I have visited this resort on 1st April 2018 I was there for 3 days the service is very good the food is excellent the atmosphere the staff are very good even I would not say good it was excellent the rooms and the room service was also excellent I am quite very happy with this resort and even I prefer all the peoples visiting Goa should stay in this resort only

Good place with family. Location average. Room availability restricted in peak season.

Went in to enquire about their buffet dinner. Also about their special lunch ( the chefs put on a fantastic display of their fabulous creations , which we had when we stayed there four years ago. None of the staff could help us. All we got was 'manager not here'. What a totally useless visit!! Won't bother returning.

There are better options if you are paying this much.

Update: Decided to give this place another try but unfortunately nothing has changed. Our fresh room had a dirty towel with lipstick marks and some black spots. I wonder what kind of QC do they do even in COVID times. The room has seen some electrical overhaul but maintenance remains a challenge. Fans are dirty and so are the restaurants chairs. Refer photos. I escalated this to duty manager and asked to speak to GM but he s too busy to look after guests and his own property.

Deceiving at best - doesn't appear and behave like a Radisson Hotel. I had booked 8 rooms here for my sales team. I am having a horrid time here at the property. Following are the issues -
1 - shower enclosure doesn't close fully making the entire bathroom wet. It may be okay for careless people but I prefer a clean and dry bathroom.
2 - Bed runner and sofa upholstery has stain marks.
3 - There is no way I can switch off all the lights (which I can do in any other hotel in the world). I need a training manual to start switching off the lights. I asked twice to the reception and they said that I should remove the keycard if I want to switch off lights.
4 - The room remains very bright at the night as the curtains are not able to cover the windows.
5 - Shower heads appear to be not cleaned in ages and the throw of water is uneven.
6 - There is no easy way to complain and the hotel manager is not willing to meet and listen.
7 - Don't fall in the trap of Superior vs Deluxe room. The rooms are exactly same. Superior rooms have the garden view and Deluxe Rooms face the pool. Anyone in the balcony of the Superior Room can view the pool easily. Refer photos.
8 - They only give 2 water bottles a day. They won't provide you clean water in a jug or a dispenser also. The bottles cost Rs.100 per bottle. The MRP is Rs.20 printed on the bottle. Refer photo.
8 - One star is for the boys in the restaurant. They do a good job.

I am Radisson Gold Member even then no one has cared. At least they should have the provision to support loyal members with extra care like the way Hilton HHonors does.

Rooms are good and cosy. Food can be improved though. Specially the non-veg options. Overall the experience was value for money.

Location is very inside and also for buffet dinner they had only few options and no variety. Also the starters, main course taste was bland

Very good stay at this hotel..housekeeping is very good and all services are excellent..location wise also it is in the heart of North goa..all tourist places are near it...foreigners like candolim area very much..very peaceful stay

While the whole stay was good and property is nice. However approach road is not so wide. So big SUV car people may face some difficulty during movement however you can reach there fine. Beach is 1.9km almost away.

My Bad experience: i booked hotel online however when i reached the hotel they said due to not receiving of a voucher from goibibo they have given room to someone else. The Manager of Place MANNU RANJAN is the most rude person i have ever met across country inn properties around the world. When i asked what we should do and shown him my App which was showing booking confirmed, he said he can not do anything. I requested him to call goibibo once, he said why he will do it as they have not received any money from them. He said, i have now no rooms left so even if we call goibibo, nothing will happen.

And the best part, after paying more then 50k plus for almost a week booking, when i asked for a suggestion he said "You can leave and find another place". After driving 670km you are tired and hotel manager ask to leave the hotel even when you have a confirmed booking on app. Waoooo.

Then i called goibibo, buy they were great in handling this situation. Goibibo sent them voucher within no time and they gave me room. Now when i asked MANNU RANJAN the manager of country inn candolim, how room is available now he said nothing.

I will request personally to the property management for training your manager.

While rest whole staff was very nice and humble. Arindam from breakfast restaurant was too good in service.

Good place, staff is nice and helpful. Property is ageing which is obvious from room condition. A bit distant from beach. I still need to explore more.

An amazing place to stay in Goa. The service of this hotel was wonderful. Staff is also very helpful and supportive. The rooms were very clean and classy. The swimming pool was awesome and amazingly neat and clean!!
I think food was not up to my taste. It was not at all spicy and a kind of too simple and blend food according to a restaurant. It was overpriced too!!
Another advice, please do not hire the taxi from hotel. Just after a walk of few 100 metres you will find many taxis and at much cheaper rate than what hotel charges.

Covering a long journey when we came around 1 am, after roaming for about an hour we finally stumbled upon this hotel. Nice place. The staff is very curtious. Nice hotel.

Nice property, rooms, food & courteous staff, but something was missing from the experience i.e. proactiveness from staff to provide delight in terms of service. For many things we had to ask them. Though we were provided with everything thing we asked but when hotels are competing for customers, they should not look like mundane when providing services.

Very average food not upto the mark. Should improve the quality of the food. Desserts are a total disappointment

I stayed for 10 nights from 5th - 15th April. This was my first visit to India and my holiday surpassed all expectations. The hotel was bright and welcoming. My room was exceptionally clean. The linen and towels were spotless. I had a balcony overlooking the garden and pool area which was lovely.
The pool bar was was great and was staffed by the very polite and helpful Sam. It was a joy to see his smiling face. He also makes a mean Mojito!!!
The food at the hotel was delicious. The buffet has a great choice at every meal. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble.
I can highly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again next year.

A very good option for stay. Close to Candolim beach. Market and other key places also closeby but no petrol pump around

This hotel is very good and inside its beauty increases even more. Here you get a lot of good service and you get very good food, along with it you get very clean in the room.

We had a five day stay here in mid Jan. The in-room services was very nice, I haven t clicked pictures inside the room, the outside was amazing the poolside is great but, if you are getting a room in the ground floor make sure that it does not face one of the trees else, there will be a lot of mosquitoes. Initially they had given us a room that had some of the trees right outside and we had requested them to change it so they did in the morning and shifted us to the first floor. As far as room service is concerned they would give a fresh dental kit and bathing kit each day but it s small, however you can always ask for more. Every morning we will get a complimentary buffet breakfast which is good and tasty and with a variety of food options available. In room dining was also good we had ordered twice and it s not that costly compare to the food we eat outside in restaurants it was pretty reasonable. You will get full Goan vibes as you enter, i enjoyed my stay here.

A great place to spend your time when you are in Goa. Offers great cuisine and ambience to its guests. It has a great support staff to its guests and offer great inputs to the popular attractions in Goa.

Not too far from Candolim beach, hotel is well maintained, staff is very courteous, breakfast included is quite nice. Candolim is by far the best location in Goa, unless you want to stay in Baga or Calangute. Highly recommend.
