Great theatre Good viewing angles and food drink assortment
Went to see Damian Rice last night, great venue and staff, ideal size for the event and great views from all areas in the hall. Particular mention for the bar staff at interval who were non-stop but clearly well capable with 3 deep at the bar
Attended a fabulous concert recently.Kate Rusby being the main act and Seamus Begley and Jim Murray the opening act.Brilliant!
There was a great crack and a good laugh and great fun

Comfortable, good sound, good lighting, nice coffee.
Saw the (very excellent) 2017/18 Panto here. If you're arranging to meet someone there meet them in the upstairs bar - the lobby fills up quickly. Very comfortable seats. Not the besr audio system (based on my 1 visit).
Always something of interest to see here. Nice little cafe area while waiting.
The best acoustics of any venue I've been to. I've seen bands here that I've heard at other venues and they sound the best here.

Recently went to see Madame Butterfly, we really enjoyed it however there is just a little space for the legs.
The staff were friendly however the bar service is a bit slow, keep it in mind if you wish to get a drink before the show.
Outstanding performance,from the Divine Comedy,in an outstanding location. Got to love the Cork Opera house!
Went to see Snow White and the seven dwarfs. What a show. Snow White brilliant, nanny brilliant, muddles outstanding, dance routines, stage props, music, dancers... everything was perfect... only disappointment, it had to end.. laughed so much, muddles and nanny s jokes will be told over and over by my kids. If there was a sixth star, i d Give it.

I love the Cork opera house, brilliant location for gigs, shows and pantos.
We've been to a couple of shows here in the last few months and couldn't be happier with it. The staff all display a genuine interest in the customer's experience, which is really refreshing.
The venue itself is excellent, with comfortable seats and a great atmosphere which is very important in a small theatre such as this which holds around 1000 people.
PS: If you have the opportunity, go to the pantomime around Christmas. They are always fantastic.
Very good acoustics and the view is good from every seat in the house. Perfect central situation in Cork and the idea of a person explaining the storyline when the opera is sung in a language other than English is a very good one.
Very poor as I was on there website this morning to buy tickets that were going on sale at 10am they did not come up for nearly 2hours later and then I was not able to get the tickets I wanted I tried to contact them by pnone but they would not answer very poor service

The toilets were in a bit of a mess the floor was sticky and there is a Hugh ugly box on top of the building that looks awful however the front looks ok

AMAZING! High quality shows are a norma, thing to do at Cork Opera, but I find the crowding of the place too much.
One of Cork city's main theatres and music venues with a good programme of national and touring shows and acts.

I have both seen a show and been in a show in the Opera house and it is fantastic!
From outside the Opera house looks modern and interesting and this continues into the entrance area. A shop with snacks and drinks is available, but the goods can be a bit pricey. However, it is worth the price regardless for the amazing experience!
As a performer, the changing rooms backstage are quite cool. They are a bit cramped, especially with 4 or 5 others trying to quickly change a costume but the adjacent bathrooms, hollywood style mirrors and practice areas made it perfect for us!

You cannot rate an opera house or theatre...it all depends on what's behind the door! In this case, Lee Side Story, v.g.,...v.g. for Corkonians anyways!
The performance was outstanding but the Opera House itself loses marks for the oppressive heat and lack of aircon. I don't know if the venue has no aircon at all or just in places, but it was incredibly hot high up in the back rows of the balcony. People were sweltering, and a few around me were fanning themselves. There was a mad dash to get out of the theatre during the interval! I expected far better from the venue.
If you come to cork .... you have to go .

Great atmosphere and layout for a sit down concert. Lift available as well and small shop for treats and a full bar. Plenty toilets and very clean. Lots of staff around for queries and showing you to your seats etc. Great venue overall. Busy programme for the rest of the year- all on website
Opera house have brilliant shows on every year. The chairs are comfortable , the staff are helpful and understandable.
Saw the Blarney Stone, had a great experience lovely theater.
1. The Staff: the staff are always great. They are Always very approachable and helpful and friendly.
2. Cleanliness: The opera house is Always very clean. Not a spot of dirt anywhere.
3. Food: There is a very good selection of food and drink.
4. Prices: i find everything to be reasonably priced.
5. Car Parking: there is a multi store car park around the corner from here and a lot of parking by the church just over the bridge.
6. Others: I go every dec 26th to the pantomime. I also saw the Broadway beauty and the beast here along with other shows too. The seats are very comfy.
7. Complaints: i think it was a big mistake to get rid of the isle in the middle of the seats as its more difficult to get in and out of the seats now esp if you are seated in the centre.
Lovely venue. Easy to get to. Good parking nearby. Food, snacks and beverages available here.

Fantastic shows on all the time. Not enough bathrooms to facilitate the amount of guests that the premises can hold but it's a great venue other than that.
