My AC unit was blowing room temperature air. My Coolray technician, Gary McCurry realized that the problem was not in the fan unit, but perhaps inside the power box. Upon further inspection, he was right! He found frayed and burnt wires that were causing the unit to repeatedly short out. Within 30 minutes, he replaced the entire set of power box wiring to the fan unit....and better yet, with one click, we had COLD air!
I could not be happier with Gary's expertise, professionalism, and thoroughness in identifying and completing the repairs. THANK YOU GARY!

Absolute crooks! Stay away! The blower motor went out on my air handler last Thursday night. My wife called Coolray since we have seen their trucks in our neighborhood. They sent a guy out right away and he said we needed a new motor and module. Figuring the motor needed replacement I looked up the price of the parts from a HVAC supplier in Florida before he arrived. The parts cost $710 shipped. So I figured $500-$600 to install. Boy was I WRONG. The salesman from Coolray quoted us $2300! When I questioned him on the cost he said there is markup on the part and we have to make profit. I'd call that highway robbery not profit. I ended up ordering the part Thursday night, it was delivered Tuesday (Monday was Memorial Day), watched a few Youtube Videos and had everything up and running in 3 hours. That was my first time doing it and if I was experienced it would have taken me 2.
Roger Baker was our most recent technician who was called out due to our upstairs unit not working. We were thrilled when we saw his face as he used to service our last residence. He is the best! So friendly and knowledgeable. Very honest and fair. We were very happy with his service and would recommend to anyone.
Had a great experience with Coolray. My service technician, Sheldon , was super professional and knowledgeable . He informed me of everything he was doing and got my ac up and running . Would definitely recommend Coolray!!
The techs were on time and were very professional. The installation of ours new furnace and air units went very smoothly and were up and preforming without any problems. They cleaned up after everything was installed and explained fully how to operate the units. I've been using coolray for 5 years now and they have never let me down on any repairs and servicing they have performed.
Our Technician, Armand, was fantastic - very polite, extremely knowledgeable and super efficient! Definitely will request him for future service calls.
Trent Horne was very professional, performed spot on work timely and did a fantastic job . I would call and ask for him again if we have any plumbing issues at all
I recently had a new motor installed on my interior unit, and I just want to give compliments to Shawn, our service technician. He was 100% professional, and gave very sound advice on our repair options. I requested service late in the evening, and he was at my house the following morning. Thanks again!
Appalled at the quote. $364.00 for each of two facets to be replaced. We had already purchased the facets, just needed installation. Will never use Mr. Plumber again.
CoolRay is the Truth. From the Intinital visit to the Contract Agreement Proces & Install. All Profesional & Timely. Them Guys came through for me. They came through at 9am to install & had me Up & Running by 2pm. New AC Unit, Duck Work, Thermostat, Furnace. Gas Line & Water Heater Relay. Money well spent. Dawaun & Daniel Job Well Done!
Just had my summer AC tune up. I've had a great tech, Clay Waller, on my account for a couple of years now. I purchased 2 new systems from Coolray and Clay has kept them in tip top shape. Clay is always very prompt after I receive a courtesy call that he's on his way. He always has a smile on this face and is very professional. And lastly, even my dog likes him, which believe me, is highly unusual. As long as Clay is there, I'll keep using Coolray.
We had a great experience with CoolRay! They were helpful and even came back a 2nd time that night, for no extra charge, when we began having more difficulties.
Our water heater unit (plus pressure regulator and expansion tank) are ten years old and we've been getting some rather disconcerting noises from them for a while now, so we contacted Mr. Plumber through their website and within 20 minutes they called our house. Within 90 minutes, Mr. Ken Boatner was at our front door. To be honest, we were just hoping to replace the pressure regulator and be done with it. But Mr. Ken educated us, examined our water heater equipment and gave us our options. He was not pushy at all and was very respectful and professional. I'm very glad he's taking care of us and that we have the exceptional service of the Coolray & Mr. Plumber company 24/7! That's impressive. You can't get that with an independent plumber. Mr. Plumber to the rescue! Thank you, Ken!
The team was super professional. We had a challenging television mounting, but they were able to complete it--quickly. The TV looks great, and we will absolutely use them should we have other needs.
Our Coolray tech, Damon Boswell, was prompt, polite, knowledgeable, and efficient, everything we have come to expect from Coolray. We've used their services for HVAC for many years and have always been pleased with the experience.
Ron Austin was the best! He did a whole house plumbing inspection last week. He was very good at explaining things to me and helping me understand issues that came up during the inspection. Mr. Plumber in general is always available when we call.
3/12/2020 - We were blessed with 2 of your service men (Robert & his son-in-law). When they came to our home we were impressed initially because they came fully prepared with face masks, gloves and shoe protectors. These gentlemen were mannerable and cleaned up behind themselves. Due to covid-19 most people are hesitant to allow workmen in their homes; however after our initial greeting they went about their work professionally. Thank you for employing individuals that respect your clients. We are a couple of a particular age (73/87) and we wanted to let you know that we would not hesitate to refer your company because of our experience. Mr & Mrs. Bernard A. Harris
Gary was a knowledgeable and friendly repair man! He worked quickly and diligently to fix my air conditioning on the spot! i would highly recommend Coolray and Mr. Gary!!!
Norberto is a GREAT technician. He does an excellent job and is extremely customer centric and professional. I've used Coolray for years and will continue to do so so long as they employ and train people like Norberto!
I have been a Coolray customer for 15+ years, unfortunately the last 5 years have been totally disappointing and abysmal. I have (2) 4 Ton Trane Units in my home, one for upstairs the other downstairs. The technician Gerald came out to check the upstairs system, because it was making a noise. He diagnosed the system had problems with the heating strips in the heat pump, muffler blown off and no Freon in system, plus possible damage to compressor. He presented me the blown off muffler and wanted to charge $2672 to fix the system. I had my suspicion and began to question him, I googled what a muffler was, when he could not provide the right answer, I showed him on my phone what it does according to google. BTW, he stated google was wrong and proceeded to discuss his 17yrs of experience. I called Anchor Heating & Cooling, they immediately came out diagnosed the problem and found that Gerald - Coolray had sabotaged my system, by cutting off the muffler; therefore exposing the compressor and leaking out 14lbs of Freon at $100/pound of R22. Also, this damaged the coils because they left the system running. In short, if you want horrible service, overpricing, purposefully damaged system to encourage you to buy a new Trane.....call Coolray....if you want to avoid what I just went through and not have to pay $6,400 for a replacement system....Repeat do not use COOLRAY
The resolution is Coolray refused to reimburse me for the $6800 in damages to my system, which was the replacement cost. Also, said they would refund the visit which was $79 and only credited back $49 to my card. They are a scandalous and shorty company, so let the buser beware....
Coolray just completely replaced my air conditioner and furnace and they did a great job. Technicians arrived on time, were friendly and professional. Took several hours to get the old out and the new in but they left my home clean and tidy. I have been a customer with CoolRay for over 20 years and they have been most helpful every time I have needed service in an emergency as will always happen at the most inconvenient time I trust this company and recommend it highly
Thursday I noticed my air conditioner wasn't cooling and was freezing up on the outside unit. I had several problems over the past 11 years and when I couldn't get my current repair service to come out until Monday afternoon I contacted Coolray since I had just talked to a friend who had theirs replaced with you and was telling me how well they were treated and how pleased they were with their new unit and the entire experience.
Jim Denton came out Friday and discussed my options. We decided with the age and problems I had been having along with the fact it was leaking some in the attic it may be best to go ahead and replace the unit. He then called to have your sales representative come out. Jim was very professional and I felt like he was looking out for my best interest. He even gave me some good leads of people he had used for other work I needed done. He immediately called for a sale representative to come out working with me so I had time to do a couple of errands I needed to do.
Wayne Memmier came out Friday afternoon and after discussing what would work best trying to get the best deal. He immediately called and since the Jonesboro office was booked for Saturday, he managed to get the last slot in the Marietta office. I know he went out of his way to do this and really appreciate it.
Saturday the installers were out here by 9:00am. All were very professional. They worked very hard and were all very polite. They all seemed like they were happy to be here and were working well together. They explained everything and helped me to program my iphone so I could take advantage of being able to check and change the controls from my phone. I don't think they ever took a break and was close to 6:00pm by the time they left with everything cleaned up and me feeling good about the whole experience.
The feel of the air flow is so even and and the unit is so quiet it is hard to know when it is on. For the first time my bedroom is as cool as the rest of the house. This is something I can enjoy every day.
I worked for Delta at the time when they cared about the employees and we went the extra mile because we were proud to be a part of their family. Unfortunately it was no longer that way when I retired. From what I saw, I feel like Coolray is what Delta used to be. I commend you for that. I hope you continue in that direction because it does make a difference.
The recent maintenance visit required more than the usual [our system is quite old]. To add to that, our crawl space is tight and hard to get to. The technician patiently stayed with it until everything had been taken care of. He was pleasant, skilled, and thoughtful. We have been Cool Ry customers for decades and have been consistently pleased. Thanks to all of you at Cool Ray!
My husband and I wasn t satisfied with the technician. We was overpriced and never experienced this earlier with the other technicians. We won t be using Coolray again. It s not good to overcharge faithful clients. The work that was performed wasn t needed. We had service previously.
For 12 years now CoolRay has been servicing my heating and air systems. I can honestly say that CoolRay cares about its customers. My technician, Jim Denton, arrives on time and is always very friendly, and well prepared. He always has what ever he needs to service my systems. The job Jim does is always complete and he explains what he did before he leaves. I am more than happy with Coolray and will continue to use them as well as recommend them to my friend. Thanks to Jim and all the techs at Coolray.
First, I am not related in any way to the Carrier air conditioning company. My daughter purchased a home which later needed major HVAC work due to system failure. After shopping around she went with COOLRAY since they were recommended by Home Depot. I remember how well they treated her so now that the HVAC system in my home has reached its usefulness and been "repaired" so many times, I called COOLRAY also. They are still as professional as they were with my daughters home. As a military retiree I know very well that the driving force of any company, its people. Lastly, with my last name of Carrier I had to go with a company that provides the best in air conditioning needs and went with the Infinity Series Carrier unit.
COOLRAY is your normal big company that works and focus on the numbers not the consumer. I called for service since my air was not cooling and my equipment was bought not even five years ago, there fee for service would be $79.00 not a problem that is the normal going fee for any one to come out and SERVICE, but at the end of visit the gentleman that came to service stated the fee was $191.00 due to work performed. So please be aware of COOLRAY they are a dishonest company. By the way since the equipment was still under warranty the only thing I was to pay was for the labor and COOLRAY QUOTE WAS $1,549.00 to replace the coil UNDER WARRANTY and 3lbs of freon. After researching found this is very common with big companies. DON'T RECOMMENDED.
Robert and Jamal were excellent in the installation of our two new systems. They were exceptional in their professionalism and thorough explanation of everything they were doing throughout the day. They are both top-notch technicians and assets to Coolray.
Great service, they were able come to my house within 48 hrs, during the busiest season of the year to fix my air conditioning. Competitors were a week out before they could get to me. The tech completed the work within a couple hours and we were up and running. Great job! awesome service. Highly recommend.
Out within hours of the call, very timely, friendly, professional and was in and out with a perfectly working unit. He also gave us helpful hints of things to try if the we have trouble with the unit again. There was no forceful upselling and reasonably priced. The parts were also guaranteed should we have any issues.
Jim Denton was excellent he was a professional diagnosed the problem in a matter of minutes thanks for the great service Coolray and people like Jim Denton.
It should not have taken 5 visits to figure out that the problem was the air conditioner was low on coolant. After the second visit I should not have been charged anything else until the problem was fixed and I should have been made a priority and not have to wait until 10:30 pm on a Sunday night to get the air conditioner fixed. Also Cool Ray needs to catch up to the 21st century and get their techs online, so after 2 visits I don't have to keep repeating to the next tech everything that's been done previously. If your techs had tablets and could punch in your address and see all the work history and also had senior techs they could reach out to then maybe my issue could have gotten fixed in a timely manner and I would be a happy customer.
My fall routine maintenance service turned up a potential problem when the technician found a capacitor that tested weak (and looked very old and grubby, in my unprofessional opinion). After replacing it, there was a glitch when the heating unit would not switch on. The technician checked everything again, and finally concluded that the problem must be with the circuit board (an expensive item). Fortunately for my already-strained budget, he thought to try one more thing: the time-tested "if all else fails, unplug it" ploy. He unplugged the circuit board, and when he plugged it in again, it worked. It's been working fine ever since. I appreciate the extra effort he made to save me money.
Their response time is exemplary and most of the technicians explain what they are doing and why. I do get the feeling like there s a bit of an upsell going on with them at times possibly because they are techs and not sales people. But they are reputable and seem to care about my comfort levels in my home. They installed and maintain my $20k+ Carrier AC system. They offered the best price for HVAC out of the 13 price quotes I got from all brands and installers for the best system.
I had a few leaky faucets and received same day service within four hours. Prompt, polite and personable group of technicians. I do highly recommend Coolray and Mr. Plumber.
Our (very old) hot water heater sprung a leak on a Tuesday night; by Wednesday afternoon we had a new one thanks to quick and helpful service from Mr. Plumber and Joe (our installer). I know some folks like to point out that Coolray/Mr. Plumber is more expensive than other companies, but we have been longtime customers and I guarantee that you get what you pay for--fast, friendly, SMART service and great follow-up and "after-care."
Excellent workmanship. Completely replaced by entire HVAC system. They quoted a fair price, did excellent work and got it all done in a day! I have always had them service my units and they are always available to answer any questions. Highly recommended.
I have been a customer for several years and this is a top tier outfit. You get what you pay for. I especially want to thank Technician Brad Smith. Mr. Smith has been to my home several times for scheduled maintenance and has always done the work efficiently as well as answered all my questions and concerns about A/C and its respective benefits and costs. He represents your business to the consumer in the best possible way.
It took 2 minutes to schedule a next day appt to check on my AC which was not blowing any air. I received a text confirmation, and the next day I received a text 30 minutes before arrival with a photo of the technician. I also received a call from the tech Lin Lee 30 minutes out. Lin discovered that the upstairs unit was frozen, but also ran a diagnostic on the unit that runs the main floor and basement. He said both systems simply needed coolant. The upstairs unit runs R22 and downstairs runs R410A. At coolray R22 is $210 per pound and R410A is $115 per pound compared to Reliable Heating and Air which charges $250 for R22 and $150 for A410A. I needed 2lbs for each unit, so I saved $150 and got great service. Lin also changed the filters. Very professional service. He quickly identified the issue and got the AC running again. Very happy customer!
Tech. was able to find problem in a short period of time and performed other checks of my system to ensure that things were working properly. It was a pleasant experience.
Absolute worst company I ve ever dealt with. From service to AC installation I strongly recommend avoiding this company. Much better options in ATL. Overcharged for Freon and leak stop and then broke a pipe upon new AC installation creating water damage in my basement. Yet to see how the company will handle accommodating me from the water damage and broken pipe.
We ve had the same CoolRay associate, Bret, doing the maintenance on our air conditioners and furnaces for years, and he s quite simply the best. We happily recommend him and the company.
Just received a service to one of my central A/C units from Coolray. The technician was Terence. Terence was extremely professional, courteous, and honest - something I highly value in a service provider.
I have used Coolray in the past and every time their service is phenomenal. The technicians take the time to explain in plain language what the problem is, provide options as to how the problem can be remedied, and efficiently set about fixing the problem.
I have used other companies on occasion, and no one can beat the professional and quality service of Coolray. These are folks who understand what customer service really means. I highly recommend them.
The cooling system for the main level of my house began malfunctioning a few days ago. COOLRAY sent repair technician Luis Echavarria to look into it. His calm, pleasant and polite demeanor, combined with the sense of urgency he projected in figuring out my home s HVAC problem and fixing it, made a strong impression. And if Luis Echavarria was uneasy about having to ring the doorbell and enter a stranger s home during a pandemic in order to make a repair, he certainly didn t show it. I greatly appreciate that.
So, we generally like cool ray,. We asked them to quote purchase and install of a mini split heat pump for our bonus room, an over the garage room, and they disappointed us with an over two times the cost of a competitors quote. And that is with years of service with them and two units purchased from them. I was hoping for more foresight on the value we add as a loyal customer, but it just wasn't there.
My service technician, Marco, was very professional and customer friendly. He explained every thing he did and answered all my questions honestly. I will request him for all my HVAC service needs in the future.
On the 4th of July my A/C decided to die and I called Coolray in the morning and even though it was a holiday, the technician arrived in the afternoon and by evening my house was cool again. Great service, as usual, even on a holiday!
This was the second unit I replaced in my house they were both installed by Coolray, the salesman Jim was excellent and the technicians both times were professional, courteous and cleaned up perfectly. I highly recommend Cool Ray.
Had a tech come out an give us a quote to hook up a sink. We had every part and piece he needed except for maybe $2.00 worth of PVC pipe. The tech said he could complete the job in under 2 hours. The quote... $886. I guess they should change their name to Dr. Plumber.
After a confusing fit of laughter, we decided not to pursue this route. He then requested money for a service charge. There was no service charge discussed when we made the appointment. Crazy!
They will not give you a quote for their services and then try to gouge you when they arrive. I assume most people are hooked in after having to pay the service fee and just submit to the work. Save yourself $700. Call someone else. We did. A licensed plumber performed the job for $190.
Such a great experience with the Coolray team! From our initial meeting with our salesperson to the installation of our system (with awesome technicians!), the Coolray team has been top notch. Professional, polite, helpful, and on time! Happy we chose Coolray!
Installation crew was outstanding, very pleased with both upstairs and downstairs installs. Carrier is the equipment that I preferred, and I could not be happier. Also replaced my hot water heater which was 20 years old, very pleased with the new one, installation was also superb. Keep up the good work CoolRay!
I always get great service from Coolray. One of the things I really love the most is that they call me for the twice/year service...Fall and Spring. It is easy to schedule with them and their service techs come on time and always call when they are on their way. Great company!
Scheduled check up (post 6 month installation of new systems) was just fine. The Coolray serviceman (Josh ??) arrived early and did a good job. Pleased to date with Coolray and expect that this should continue.
Coolray installed 2 new HVAC units in 2006 and have had them do preventive maintenance (PM) since that time. All of the techs have been first class. For the past 2-3 years Jorge Valencia has done our PM. He is outstanding. He is very professional, courteous and friendly. If there is a problem he explains everything to me and tells me what my options are. Last summer the upstairs unit would not cool. A tech came out and replaced a circuit board with absolutely no charge to me.
After 17 years of using Coolray for my HVAC servicing, I recently used them to replace my aging HVAC system. However before moving forward, I did get a quote from a similar, large competitor, but found that their sales process was not nearly as professional and complete as Coolray. The entire sales and installation process With Coolray was top notch, from Dustin in sales, to Brandon and Kenneth on the installation team. I would use them again, and highly recommend.
In preparing to move out of our old house we discovered a leak behind our washing machine. The technician was able to replace the faulty valve with new parts and resolved the problem. He was very courteous and thorough and they did a great job. Would definitely recommend Coolray/Mr. Plumber to others.
Tech showed up and spent 5 minutes looking at my AC unit. Without offering to show me any proof that my unit was unrepairable he suggested that I buy a new one. He then proceeded to try and get a salesman on the phone on the spot to sell me a new one. They charged me $89 for 5 minutes of work. I would buy from anyone but this company.
We had our 19 year old basement system (heat and air) replaced due to age and that R22 refrigerant was not longer going to be manufactured. Alex and Robert showed up earlier than expected (and that was great). They did an outstanding job. Cleaned up completely, tested everything thoroughly and showed us how to use the system. We had received three quotes and Coolray was the best. We have been with Coolray on our upstairs system for twelve years and have been very please with their Customer Service and technical support. We would HIGHLY recommend Coolray.
Fixed leaky bathroom sink faucet. The young man was very helpful, and professional. He answered all my questions, and completed the repair quickly. Very satisfied with this service.
