I and my wife came to San Francisco from New York to enjoy Christmas holidays
We did check in at the Fairmont Hotel on December 21st deep night.
Our room was on the second floor. And when I opened the door, there was a strange smell, and a dehumidifier was running on the floor of my room.
And when we was booking we order king size bed, but the bed is too small.
I was really upset and my wife's face was frowning.
So I called the front desk and we want to change other room.
Our second room was better than the first room.
But water tap is uncomfortable in my bathroom. Look at the my picture.
Why we was booking Fairmont Hotel, Because there were many special events and many countries presidents use the this hotel.
But we were so disappointed.
If somebody wants to use hotel in San Francisco, I recommend the Continental Hotel next street.

Went to visit the Tonga Room and had a fantastic time! I had heard good things about the place but just never seemed to end up there. Well the other night I found myself craving tiki, made my way over to San Francisco's apparent best, and was absolutely blown away. One of the best bands I've had a pleasure to listen to, and they had a fantastic music selection to dance to! Normally I try to not repeat places, but I will definitely be putting the Tonga Room on my list again!

For the price, I expected much better. My bathroom had a leak and a broken faucet handle. They fixed it quickly when I brought it up, but is there no quality control between guests? The walls are VERY, VERY THIN. You can hear almost everything and it just echos around the room. The 24hr "gift shop" was usually only open during the day. The in-house restaurant has a different menu than room service, a simple hamburger through room service was over $50. Housekeeping was on point and very thorough, kudos to them.

This was my first time visiting the Fairmont San Francisco. The view of the city that we had was totally amazing. I don't get off of Maui very often and this trip was so incredible. From the moment we pulled in, we were treated like family. The front desk staff was professionally accommodating to our wants and desires for this trip....I did bring them some macadamia nuts from the island
We were able to enjoy the Tonga room one of the nights and was able to see BJ, whom I served a few weeks before in Maui. Mahalo nui loa for the graciousness of all of the staff

Beautiful hotel, really spacious will fantastic staff. Only reason its not 5stars is that I stayed for 8 days under two different deals, the first four days our breakfast was complimentary, and the second four it wasn't, though I was informed that it was fory entire stay, a fact I reconfirmed halfway through my stay. At the end when settling the bill they told me that it wasn't included for the last for days and I must have misunderstood. The breakfast was great but not worth $40 a day and I would have tried other places had I known it wasn't included. For this reason I may not return to any fairmont in the future.

Staff very rude. I was standing next to a table and they asked me to move in a very mean way. Drinks were not good. Friends and I ordered different drinks but they all looked and tasted the same. Place is way overrated go to pagan idol for a better experience.

I had the opportunity to photograph an elopement that took place on the beautiful balcony overlooking the gardens. The room was spacious and the lighting was great.

Afterwards we were able to walk around and take some more gorgeous photos in the surrounding areas.

Get a map before you enter. The layout is super confusing and signs not very helpful. If you get a room in the tower the views of the city are great. Final bill contained a dozen of items from the minibar that were no consumed and false but immediatelly removed from the bill.

Was a attending a one day conference. All meeting apace was good, not my style as it is a bit dated and cheesy but that is the style of the hotel. Did not eat lunch at the hotel. One complaint would be that the hot water kept running out and nobody could be found to fill it. Guestrooms are nice and large, very airy - I did not stay at the hotel but was given a tour by one of sales managers as part of attending the event.

An absolute establishment. The Gingerbread themed Christmas decoration makes the place a festive wonderland. Staff are extremely friendly and cooperative. The bar is good. The Nob Hill neighborhood is great and if you dont mind the hike to and from this place, you will fall in love with Fairmont.

Classic hotel in san francisco, a great example of the old money in SF. Tonga room is a well known tiki themed bar with a pool that has rain rolling into it. I highly recommend checking it out and if you can check out the view from the crown room!

Beautiful place! I did not actually stay here, but rather came in for a wedding we were attending. However, if the rooms in which the wedding reception was held was anything like the rooms, this is a great place to stay. Plus, it has great views of San Francisco since it is on top of a hill.

A first class hotel with a sense of charm and exquisitely beautiful amenities, this place will fulfill your own expectations of what a luxury hotel should be. The copious attention to detail, the impeccable service, and top notch food served to your room or at the well adorned in-house restaurants will leave a lasting impression on anyone who wants to be treated like royalty in every sense of the word. A must experience for anyone who wants the best hotel accommodations and almost unbelievable attention to detail in a way that will leave you feeling completely satisfied and dazzled with the best hotel experience in every way imaginable. It must be experienced to be believed and you will want to come back soon.

Love the history of this hotel and it's location. Staff is always very accommodating. Our visit was started and completed with the finest doorman I have had the pleasure to meet. He is passionate about his job and puts his soul into it. This man, alone, makes me want to visit again!

It was a very expensive experience. First the rooms aren't cheap and beside that you also have to pay 14 dollar each day for wifi. That is ridiculous, every hotel with some service provides free wifi for their guests. At the end when you check out they also tell you that parking is 75 dollar each night, but nobody tells you that when you are in the valet service. Such a ridiculous way to earn more money, even when people already pay a lot to be staying there. Never going back again.

Its a great hotel. The staff is top notch. Until today. I'm a chauffeur and have worked with them for almost a decade. Today they wouldn't let me use the restroom. I'm wearing a shirt and tie. A mask and the gentleman at the front door said 'No'. Very disappointing.

When I entered this hotel the first thing I did not like the aggressvice customer service of the front desk, second the AC is making noise no way to sleep old style, then the quality of the bed it is polyester no way to feel ok it is getting hot after a few hours, towels are smelling very bad,in the end they trying to charge for the parking I asked I think I have paid then telling me o yes you paid, then trying to charge me $111 for the refrigerator's drinks I am telling I just drink water then telling me ok I will wave that, later next day I see there is $114 pending charge from my debit card calling them no answer from that department then I wrote message I got answer it will be then back after the room has been inspected ,so nobody told me about that during check out,it is still pending and I do not know what will happen.
Will never go.

Parking is straight up extortion. Guy just told me that parking was $16 and hour but failed to tell me that it automatically jumps to $65 after 3 hours... I was there for about 3 hours 15 mins. Never again...

This is one of the iconic hotels in San Francisco best known for its classy presentations whether it be in Room or in its night club come restaurant. The club itself is a wonderful setting around the central water feature and the music is always uplifting and danceable the atmosphere always ecstatic and happy with an attentive staff that will make any evening I hit. Best to make reservations and to find out where the most convenient parking is before you begin the evening. Of course there is a concierge that will help you with this for a price but come early and enjoy the whole setting of the neighborhood before entering in for a delicious dinner and a night of over the top enjoyment.

Beautiful place, especially the main lobby. This continues with renovated, beautiful rooms, and yellow marble bathrooms. Service here is okay, but not up to 'par' as used to Fairmonts. We have stayed at Fairmont in D.C. and NYC, and have always had great experience. Staff here is not as good as typical. Doormen outside seem understaffed, and there are a ton of people standing around. They can't really tell who is coming and going. Front desk with very young girls in the evening, that were not very helpful when I approached with a simple question. Also, it is a little uncomfortable having to break up their huddle around a cell phone. Not a big deal, and probably more a reflection of their age. I just stayed at a hotel for $150/night, and staff was much friendlier and responsive.

Walls are paper thin, and I can literally hear and understand every word of the neighbor's words. Probably not management's fault, it's an old building.

I feel bad with negative remarks, but management and staff that do an outstanding job should be rewarded. Had a great time here in SF, however.

We spent one night here on a recent trip to SF. We have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 20+ years. This is still THE classic San Francisco hotel that it has always been. The room was great, the beds were great, the service was great and the price was great. We stayed in the old part of the hotel, which we believe has more character than the tower. Could not have been more happy with the room. We have traveled to San Francisco more than 100 times over the past 20 years and stayed in many different places, but none have been as consistently great as the Fairmont.

Loved every minute! Well maintained and organized and great history to be told for such a magnificent hotel. But if you rent a car..make sure you are aware its $70.00 a day to park your car. Take the bus or uber instead. We learned that by surprise.

Good place with good location too. Staff are usually friendly and kind but not all. Breakfast menu is good. Nice room settings, Tv has wide selections of cable channel, clean towel and bed sheets, WiFi. Reception attendants need to improve their customer service skills. Customer satisfaction is the key for any business success!

I stayed here for 4 nights in March. Rooms were lovely, the location is great and the staff were really nice during our stay. Unfortunately one of the maids took one an item of clothing that I just bought from Union Square. I m sure it was a mistake but the staff did not care in the slightest, which really brought the experience down.
