Beautiful hotel with beautiful architecture of classical style and level workers, close to the heart of the city
The Fairmont staff was extremely helpful and intent on helping with everything. The banquet / ball rooms were covered with skilled craftsmanship. Overall a great m place to hold a group event.
Superb ambience and very personal service. The food was crisp and yummy. Will surely recommend this restaurant to others. Affordable prices and big meals. Keep it up.
Top class hotel on top of the hill. It's a bit of a walk going back to the hotel, but you can deal with the exercise, right?!?
Afternoon tea was... not my cup of tea personally, but seemed very good for other members of my party who enjoy tea! The snacks were cute and well prepared.
Was there for a work event and the venue was beautiful, spacious and well staffed.
Great service in the bar at the Fairmont while we waited for our table at the Tonga room
Poor service with waiter repeatedly yawning in our faces and literally closing his eyes as he took our order. Kind of funny in hindsight.
Everything is first class and especially the friendly service. This is a really beautiful hotel, inside and out. Beautiful hotel. Historic property. Room is pretty standard. Room is clean and no funny smells.
GOOD EXPERIENCE.....................JUST GOT CHARGED TWICE FOR THE SAME BILL IN THE TONGA ROOM. CHECK YOUR STATEMENT. My wife is on the phone now...........should be fine. Sure it was a mistake. The bartender was great.
We arrived after a 4 hour drive and were told by the bellman we couldn't wait for our rental to be picked up. I had to orbit for 30 minutes. The suite we were in had a mini bar and we were charged for drinks every day-even though we took NOTHING out of it. The sink and shower drains backed up every time we used them. Breakfast eggs and toast were cold EVERY time we ordered. We were charge for "Internet" on our bill even though it had been included in the rate. It took a couple of phone calls but they took off the false charges. so much for spending thousands of dollars on a so called premium hotel. Stay somewhere else.
Its a really nice hotel, but I wish there was a pool. Definitely opt for a view room in the tower.
Amazing property!!!! In the heart of San Fran! There are cable cars that stop by the backside that take you to the Wharf!
Beautiful hotel, Tonga room is also great! Thank you Fairmont team for making it memorable!
If you can afford it... a great, historic hotel right on the cable car line. Visit the Tonga Room Tiki Bar on site.
This was a great trip and great hotel! Would stay here again on our next trip to San Francisco!
Visited the Fairmont to attend a company off-site. Facilities are generally of a good standard and the building is impressive - it's not a San Francisco icon for nothing. The food served at lunch was excellent. The only minus point would be the distance between the restrooms and the conference room where the event I was attending was held.
This hotel is very nice looking indeed though it retains an aged design. While approaching your room, you might pass by numerous guest rooms having food left outside rooms which is very rare for most hotels but people have raved about the food here, it's not even funny.
Inside the one bed room is a most comfortable bed, walk in closet and nice bathroom. Incredibly spacious everything and as I said aged design before, the interior looks more like a 80s design than it does 21st century
The ventilation unit is superb as it is in front of the window facing upwards so you can get your desired cooling/warming needs met quicker than most other hotels.
Paid $250 a night including parking.
Location and views splendid, rooms not too well equipped, staff rude.
Went to the Tonga room for drinks before dinner elsewhere. Was a great time, great menu, well thought out and great drinks.
