We first came about a month or so ago and were absolutely blown away by the food. It was incredible!

We have since been back 4-5 times and each time the staff are courteous and helpful, the eating area is cosy and spotless and most importantly the food is melt in your mouth brilliant - you can t go wrong with anything on the menu. Can t wait to go back again!

Seating is excellent - makes you feel like home. The food is untypical of most middle eastern cuisine in that each dish has unique tastes and flavour that are specific to the restaurant, and damn they are good. Definitely recommend but advise booking as it's a small place.

Food quality is ok but the environment is very boring. Staff are not friendly especially the man who walks from kitchen to the entrance five times in a minut is like a Russian spy which makes you feel you are under surveillance or sitting in a class room test and your teacher is monitoring you.

Very nice and authentic feel dishes are borderline on price but the taste was well worth it, menu is small but just right for beginners to Arabic food, service was lovely which always helps.

This restaurant advertised through DINE as having a 25% off your final bill offer 7 days a week. I booked a table and then queried the offer but they refused to honour the offer. I immediately contacted DINE to complain but they got to DINE first to amend their offer details. Any reputable place would honour what they have advertised so more than likely the food will be as poor as their professionalism.

Great food, I had the Bandari (slightly spicy sausage, served with a fresh naan) and the Zereshk Polo (Half a chicken served in a tomato and butter sauce, similar to the Indian dish butter chicken, served with saffron rice and barberries. More

Very very bland waitresses hover around you like staff at a buffet. As soon as your plates empty they swipe it away. ( I ordered a platter to share ffs are we suppose to eat it out the dish it was presented in?) 3 new plates throughout the main feel sorry for the dishwasher. If that's Persian food I'm not a fan.

Mixed feelings about this place. Went there twice, first time we were really happy with the food. Second time we ordered some seafood dish which wasn't among the freshest ones I've had. However, the staff was friendly and attentive.

Would rate zero if i could. Me and my friend decided to go out for evening meal and knowing my love for persian food we decided to go Colbeh after reading amazing reviews.
We walked in at about 7.30pm to see the place empty with just two couples sitting in. Initially nobody approached us but I could see a lady setting a table and when she noticed us she just stared at us like we are some aliens. Eventhough i was the customer! I had to approach and say hello can we have a for table for two to which the woman said no hello or you alright there or sorry just gave us a weird face and said have you booked which I obviously said no (doesn t really say anywhere we are supposed to prebook), she just goes we have no table , to which I replied oh so we are supposed to have booking to eat in and she said yeah like we are some idiots. At this point I never felt so uncomfortable, which customers staring at us, mind you the worker stood couple of meters away so she was speaking across from middle of restaurant as opposed to approaching us.
As a business I understand there may have been a policy for prebooking before coming but I d least expect some professionalism like or tellin us in a polite manner. Anyways we walked towards Shiraz, another Persian restaurant fee doors away to see fully packed out but we tried our luck and were welcomed and were greeted with smile - eventhough they literally had one table availble and informed us they have fee booking, they kindly squeezed us in & I probably had one of the best food in a very long time and were offered delicious complimentary sweet dish and green tea (will definitely be visitng them again!) We were done in about 40-50 minutes, while walking back to our car when we looked into Colbeh, the restaurant was still more than half empty so really don t understand why they were so awkward for.

Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. The place was fairly empty which is surprising considering how good the food was.

With a family from Bristol, we came to Birmingham to suggest friends for the hut. I also suggest you my dear Iranians to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience ... and I give from 1 to 2 huts.

It wasn't amazing, wonderful, fabulous, magnificent or gorgeous. It was even higher. I even can't explain with my words how great it was. When I entered the Colbeh, I thought this place suppose to be in UK top 10 restaurants. The interior was really amazing, when I entered I felt like I am in Arabic fairytale. Fhuthermore the food was unbelievably delicious. I ordered lamb skewer and it was incredible. The portion was extra large. The meat just melted in my mouth how great it was cooked. Finally staff wasn't just friendly, they was really helpful, polite, reliable and extremely pleasant. If I could I would give this restaurant 10 stars best restaurant I have seen so far in UK.

We had lunch last Sunday, outstanding dining experience! Colbeh is a restaurant with traditional and authentic Persian cuisine, with an intimate, familiar and welcoming atmosphere. The wait for the dishes after the order was a bit long but it was worth it, an indication of an elaborate and fresh preparation! We suggest Barg and ChaMaygu, this was a delicious dish, generous portion of grilled shrimp with saffron-scented basmati rice garnish and a joy of color for the eyes. Barg is a dish recommended for meat lovers, plenty of soft lamb fillet, with grilled chicken skewer and all garnished with saffron rice. A pleasure to share with images! If you want to try authentic culinary flavors of Persia, you are in the right place !!!!

What a great place and experience. The staff were very helpful and seemed determined for us to enjoy our experience. The meal we had after was very unusual but delicious and served with the same helpfulness and enthusiasm as the rest of the experience. Top place, great atmosphere, great staff great food and drink.

I went with a friend midweek. I am not used to persian food and the staff were very kind and helpful in explaining the dishes. The place is very clean and family friendly. Food was amazing, generous portions. Staff are very attentive. Honestly a perfect dining experience.

Rude and disrespectful customer's service, specially when they come to know that the customer is from Afghanistan. Food
is ok not bad, but takes forever to be ready, and compared to other Persian restaurants it's overpriced.
