Quality food, quality service, simply superb.
My only go to place to eat now. The owner is excellent at taking care of his customers and colbeh is the only place my friends and I want to meet up at and share food. Today tried the prawns, absolutely amazing The food as a whole is on another level. Thank you colbeh for another great evening.

Good food quality.

Pleasantly surprised - would certainly go again - admittedly we went as guests and there were quite a few of us - service was good - atmosphere I guess is what you will create for yourself - I will review when I have eaten of an evening.

2nd visit here. First review written on trip advisor on August 2017. This place is warm, friendly and Class!!! What impressed us was that Arsalan remembered us and he even remembered what we ate the first time... now that s what you call attentive, awesome!!!

Food was great and the Daily Special (slow cooked pulled lamb with dill rice), it was worth the gamble and heaven.

We had a really nice time, did not want to leave and the service was just something to remember. We went for my wife s pre birthday meal, no reservation was made, but having a baklava with saffron ice cream and a candle on top was special, lol.

We wish great things for this family business.

Excellent food service and ambiance, portions so mahoosive I even had to ask for a doggy bag. The parking is a bit of a pain the easiest being around the water tower behind the kitchen is the easiest to access. Well worth a visit you won't be disappointed.

Brilliant food and customer service. Food was well cooked and presented well. When asked about how a certain dish would taste, the waiter did struggle in this regard. However, overall they were very caring and welcoming staff.

This place is superb. Moderate to expensive. Recommend the mixed grill for two. Comes on a pitta base with saffron rice. Worth booking. All food cooked fresh to order. Parking off roads nearby. Persisn food similar to Turkish and Lebanese. Lots of salad and humus. Free humus and pitta when seated. NOT recommended for kids. This is a quite romantic restaurant for couples or businessmen. Excellent food and reminds me of the days of the Shah before the Ayatollah when restaurants in Iran served wine and beer after all Shiraz came from Iran! Staff welcoming. Owner greats customers and liaises with chef.

Went for friends leaving party. Awesome food, never had Persian before, was really impressed. Lovely service, beautiful grilled meats and fresh salad. Very reasonably priced. Don't think any of the seven of us managed to finish our mains. #generousportions. #musttry

OMG I am so impressed by this restaurant. I went twice and had the same dish. Koobideh minced lamb skewers with half chips and half saffron rice.

The meat was so delicious and the rice was perfect, the chips were normal stake house chips.

My friend had the joojeh, the chicken was very very tendor. Many thanks to the amazing chefs, those dishes were quality.

Beautiful Persian food is served here in this wonderful small restaurant.

I recommend you ask for the dish of the day. All the cold food starters are amazing and I recommend them all especially the mast khiar which is wonderfully made here and is nice to have with your meal.

My personal favourite dish here is 'Kabob Torsh' off the grill. Delicious tender pieces of lamb grilled perfectly and garnished with pomegranate and walnuts served with rice and all the other great Persian touches. Highly recommended.

The only negative about this place is it's quite expensive for the location but the quality and service speaks for itself.

Delightful Persian restaurant on the way into Birmingham city centre. Reasonably priced for the quality provided.

Decent wine list, good choice of starters / mains etc. If you are unfamiliar with any of the dishes, the hosts/waiting staff are more than happy to assist.

Excellent service but book ahead if you have a definite date and time in mind.

This Iranian restaurant is one of the best one in Birmingham, I have visited and checked others but believe Kolbeh is best. Foods quality and prices are acceptable, foods menus almost complete, I recommend everyone.

We felt humiliated and left

The best Persian restaurant in Birmingham. The foods are of very good quality and delicious. Very nice traditional decoration. Staffs are friendly. I have tried Koobideh kebab and Joojeh kebab (chicken) with rice, and Doogh as a drink. The food was served with a hot and fresh bread and some vegatables. I highly recommend this place if you would like to try Persian foods.

Definitely worth trying - Good Food, Nice and Friendly Staff and Atmosphere.
I have tried a few dishes till now like Colbeh Special, Polo Mahiche
Kabab Torsh and few appetizers like Halim Bademjan, Kashke Bademjan, Mirza Ghassemi and among those my favorite combination is starting with Dough for drink and Kashke Bademjan and Barbari Naan bread for appetizer, following by Kabab Torsh and Mast Mosir and finishing by Baklava and tea.
Hope it helps.

Just been to Birmingham to see my step son who s at the uni and decided to check Colbeh and I must say it scored 10 out of 10 on all accounts. From the friendly service and ambiance to the totally delicious grub! We tried 3 different dishes and each one was better than the other and the ice-cream baklava at the end was just divine! Best Persian food I ve ever experienced in Birmingham. Our complements to the chef and all the staff.

HIDDEN GEM!

HIDDEN GEM!

I was a little nervous having never tried Persian food before and due to the location but this place was amazing.

The venue is small maybe 4-5 sets of different sized tables on each side, we had to book and there was only a choice of 1 time for each day remaining (for me that was a good sign).

Lovely atmosphere not too loud, no blaring music.

To start we ordered hummus which comes with this delicious sesame seed naan (not pictured because we were too hungry!) And they gave a bowl of delicious balsamic and pomegranate olives for the table.

We had 2 colbeh specials which is two types of lamb skewers and saffron chicken. We got this with chips (comes with the meal).

We also ordered a side salad which looks delicious! We didn't get to try it because we were too full so they let us take it home! (Lunch pending!!!)

We had a bottle of Peroni and a glass of wine.

Seriously why didn't I hear about this place before? I thought restaurant Teheran in Paris was the best Iranian I'd had but this place is even better.

Their key edge is the authenticity. The family themselves cook the food which is flavour filled, authentic AND imaginative. Not things I'd ever thought I'd say about Iranian food. But here it's the truth.

Great seasonal produce, childhood favorites and an effort to be the very best all lend to an ambience filled with meaning and nostalgia. And in Birmingham!!?

The owner Arsalan was supremely gracious and a great host.

I literally couldn't recommend this place any more. On top of all that, the prices are reasonable. You can't ask for more. You won't regret it.

Very nice restaurant and excellent food. We went for the sharing platter so we can try abit of everything and was very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. For the standard of the food the prices are good. Service was exceptional, very tentative and quick. Would definitely come back again and well earned 5 stars
