CoCo Key Water Resort Reviews

My experience at this MOTEL was horrible. The first night my husband killed multiple roaches. Pictured below is not a roach but another but I killed. Our room was changed upon entering that room we killed a roach. Again went to the front desk and switched rooms. I never saw a roach in this room but very disappointing to switch rooms 3 times. House keeping did not leave us with clothes and no one was answering the front desk phone. I had to walk down stairs to get towels. I would never stay at this MOTEL again!!! The water park is nice but they didn't have enough workers for some slides to be open which was the entire point of my visit. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache!!!!!

Just stopped in to say hello to family members from out of town. The room they were in looked nice. Looked like it had a big pool area.

I'm going to give it a 1 because the main slide for kids was not working.

I originally thought that Coco Keys was a good hotel/resort. It really isn't though. I enjoyed the first couple days here acknowledging its flaws, but over time said flaws became more aparent. The rooms are barely good. The sockets are loosely dangling off of the walls and only two of about seven of them in my room actually work. The shower/bath is constantly leaking and four days so far the cleaners haven't even bothered to look at our room let alone clean. The pools are medeocker at best, they are barely clean and after swimming in one of them I had to go back up to my room because I could barely see after being in the pool, the slides are quite fun though. Overall, so far this hotel/resort has been terrible, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Horrible service. First there was no WiFi at the place at all. I payed $140 for a room. Then I wake up in the middle of the night in sweat because the AC is blowing hot air on 69. I go to the lobby to get money out the ATM to get water out the machine and they don t accept 20s. I asked the clerk her said he didn t have any change. I asked him for cold water he then told me he had some in a jug that they have. Of course it was empty. He refused to get any more. I asked for management and he said there wasn t any on shift. Then I ask to change rooms and they tell me that there wasn t any available. I asked for anything at all he can do. Reimbursement or anything and he refused saying he needed a manager that wasn t on shift. I had to walk a mile to get a bottle water for $2.50. Buyer beware. This place is a joke.

Pros:
Well located. Close to 10-15 mins from main theme parks by car (Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios, erc), plus stores/commerce. There is an Alamo rent a car office nearby (15 mins walking).

Big and clean rooms.

Has its own water park (we never used ... Travelled without children).

CONS:

Our room smelled like someone smoked in it ... We did not ask for changing because we arrieved to tired from parks every day.

Need more light in the room. It had only 2 bulbs for the whole place (by night is not enough).

Nice place. A little dated and smells humid/muggy. The water park is clean and big and the resident only pool and jacuzzi is nice as well. The housekeeper was nice; but do not know if the lifeguards are overworked but they are a little moody. Over all we had a great time.

The hotel had some dirt and dust and behind the painting on the wall there was a huge hole don't waist ur money but waste it on the water park that junk was lit bro!!!!

Great resort for the kids rooms need a little updating but everything else was perfect heated pool tiki bar restaurants breakfast was disgusting. Very close proximity to all the restaurants and local stores which is great if you dont have a rental car

It was actually better than I was expecting. I have a two year old and he was able to enjoy himself in the kiddie area without it being other big kids around. I will definitely come again!!

Starting from the room, good accommodation, comfortable beds, regular room services, tv, coffee maker, I just think I missed a microwave, so we can buy several meals ready at Walmart.
Outside facilities are beyond what I expected, heated pools, average waterpark, most wins from many of Brazil. In conclusion, we have not yet closed our lodgings but I think it will be all good.

The water park was nice and well run. The staff was polite. That is where the good parts end. The rooms were absolutely disgusting my kids walked on the floor for 5 minutes and looked like they were running on the pavement for hours. There were dust bunnies that were there since the turn of the century and spiderwebs in the door jams. The cleaning ladies have a vacuum on the cart, but we didn't see it go in 1 room in 5 days.

It is a very good place, the pools are clean and well-maintained as well as the slides, the rooms are quite large, but the closet does not have drawers or any specific space for clothes in addition to the hangers, and lastly the dining room It is quite large, there are a variety of foods.
Despite some small things, it is the second time that I come and I still think that it is a very good resort.

Decent rooms, nothing fancy. The water park is why I chose to stay here and my girls, ages 8 and 10 enjoyed it very much. I would stay here again.

The service for the birthday party sucked. Seemed as if this was her first time hosting a party. It also seemed like the cooks where the main kitchen was being ran by children. They were not wearing gloves. It also took about 45 mins to NOT get three hamburgers and fries order. So we got our money back and left hungry.

I was great, except when they turn off the water on the big slide every other hour during the earlier times.

Don't see how this place could get any stars but I am forced to in order to do the rating, as others have said the website looked nothing like the resort. The place is run down with no up keep, we should have gotten the Que when a very disgruntled guest in the lobby was complaining non stop. The whole place was dirty, it looks like zero upkeep although the room looked clean you could just feel the uncleanliness all around make your skin crawl. We booked the room for 2 nights but only spend one because of the grotesque atmosphere. The room was old and outdated, even the TV reception was poor. I didn't even ask for my money back for the second night because I know it would be a hassle. Any hotel (if you can call it that) you check into and they want all your money upfront beware!!!! Would not return even if I was being paid to!

i loved the place it has a really big water park but the bathroom was real small plenty of room for 4 people and i had a lot of fun and my sister had as much fun as me this is probaly the best hotel i have ever been to i give it a 5/5 or a 10/10

I never write reviews but had to this time. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had and I travel all the time. This is a waterpark hotel and waterpark was closed. Over an hr to check in and room wasn't even ready at 5pm which is after check in time. 90 degrees outside and have a system maintence which left the hotel with no power all day which they knew about but didn't say anything at check in. they boost about these restaurants and shops but nothing is open. No crew around anywhere. Half the games in arcade are out of order. This place is a joke NEVER NEVER waste your money here.

Stayed here for a convention and had a blast. Our 5 girls decided they would rather play EVERY day at the water park here at the hotel than spend one day in the Theme parks and stay at cheaper hotel. It was convenient to the Convention and nearby restaurants. Staff were friendly and very helpful!

When we make it for midnight check-in were told that there s going to be an extra $102 charge for resort fees and we had no idea that was even a thing through our third party traveling package site. Getting over the extra resort fee, we go into our room and see a broken TV with a missing remote controller, a busted lamp on the night stand, a light switch that DID NOT turn our room light on nor off, and the digital clock didn t turn on. The bathtub is as rusty as sunken ship, OH and we noticed jelly beans all over the floor. I DO NOT recommend this MOTEL WATER PARK to anyone. Yeah the water park is a nice touch compared to your regular pool and hot tub at other INNs, but the fact that I feel a little more comfortable sleeping in a car instead of the room says a lot. This motel is truly not what was expected, and reading all positive reviews compared to negatives made me feel better until I got here. I m only a teenager, and for this to be an environment I don t feel comfortable nor safe says a lot. I feel disgusted even having to lay in this room.

The CoCo Key hotel is a good hotel. Pricing isn't bad and they have the water resort of course. They also have a pool for those who stay who don't want to pay to get into the resort. You would think that if you stay at the resort perhaps you get a 1 day free access to the resort but you don't, you have to pay admission to get into the water park. The rooms are clean and staff are nice as well. The hotel is on international drive so there are tons of attractions and things to do which is great. The only thing I wish they did offer is complimentary breakfast, but they don't. There are tons of restaurants and gift stores around the area and things for the Family to do. If you're not looking for anything too fancy or with a ton of amenities then the CoCo Key Hotel is a great stay.

Not much to do. The larger pool and one of the slides were closed. Stayed for 2 hrs.

This place is very noise but it's also for kids so I can't complain. You can literally hear everything surrounding you outside and in the next room. The rooms are nice and clean

Nothing special and defiantly nothing scary. Be sure to read what amemities they offer and DO NOT offer before booking. Great location.

Water park was great and clean. Rooms need some serious updating. Carpet needs to be cleaned. Trouble opening our door. Air is not good. I really feel if guys would update your rooms you would do great! For the price though you can t beat it.

The beds aren't the most comfortable. But staff is friendly and the water park is great.

Love is an incredible place, super clean and perfect to spend with the family with excellent attractions and they restore the atmosphere for your children's magic party.

There were roaches in our room and termites also the food was okay

I have ben trying for almost to months now to get results my daughter was coverd in rash after she got out of the water ive sent them Dr notes and medicine prescription pictures reports The Manger Chris Said They Would Get Something Done In 2 Weeks Its Ben Almost 2 Months I Told Them I Want A Refund also when we arrived they gave us a room with people already in the room also never told us waterpark would be closed just horrible management

Love the water park. Its big and amazing BUT I rather stay at a different hotel than here. This hotel is dirty. The pullout couch(although we didn't use it) smells and there's garbage on it...behind it. There's no microwave in the room and was told there's a fee.

I loved everything about this hotel! Definitely recommend this place if you have kids OR grown ups who LOVE the water park lol

This hotel was okay. There are great amenities for children. It's totally family friendly but the walls are thin and you can hear neighbors and toilets flushing. They had night swimming activities like a movie poolside which was cool but loud. If you want some peace you should probably ask for a room away from the pool. They have an indoor water park area that was closed while we were there. The arcade and breakfast was satisfactory.

Didn't notice any bedbugs as listed in another review. Regardless of where we stay, we always try to check the bedding and everywhere else for anything. The rooms are okay. Not updated, least I dont believe so. The water park/amenities are why we stayed. This was awesome. My mother and step father live in the area and we stayed here just to swim. Better than I had imagined and would definitely return.

Should be zero. They are criminals. Kept recharging and changing pricing on my bank account. Woke up 3 days to my bank account in negatives after the bank fixing the issues each time. Havent been in the hotel for about 4 days and still messing with my credit card. Ready to press criminal charges! A million and one problems with that place and i promise to edit post and list long list of complaints (for example. Semen stains on sofa in room and a $15 hold on your money god forbid you choose to use your credit/debit card to do laundry). Busy busy atm. Just wanted people to be aware of their bank accounts if choosing to stay.

Third rate motel. Dated and stuck in the seventies. Water park only opens half the week but not bad when it is open. Don't bother with the breakfast - no seriously, don't..

For the most part, staying at CoCo Keys was okay because everything was close by. The staff was friendly. There's two things that bothered me and that is, the pictures online does not look like the resort/hotel, it looks more like a motel, but i could of dealt with that. BUT they do have BED BUGS!
This is something the resort has to look into and make sure the clients is satisfied and that's the only way they will come back, but with an experience like this, i don't see myself going back to CoCo Keys.

Absolutely terrible. Every single staff member had no clue what customer service was. At arrival we weren't even greeted with an smile or hello, more like a "Next", we booked a king size bed and were given a full. When i tried calling the front desk to make them aware the phone line was dead. We walked to the front desk and the person proceeded to tell us that all rooms had the same size beds. I had to call a manager and show her our papers which showed a king size bed was booked. She finally changed it while acting like it was such a hassle and not once did they apologized for the mix up. Other than that the walls were paper thin and there were no drapes, blinds didn't really do much to stop the sun from coming through, or protect our privacy. we had to change in the bathroom, you could definitely see inside the room through the blind cracks. all in all, awful experience, will never be coming back.

It was good! Some minor problems when they gave us the room that was not the one on my booking preference but they were nice and able to fix and change the room right away. Too bad we weren't able to enjoy the water park due to our busy schedule. Room service was good. Our room was tidy Everytime we got back at night. Gave us lots of cleaned towels. Overall, it was good experience.

The water park part is nice . Life guards and staff were nice . The rooms weren't so nice . But overall the water park part definitely makes it worth it

This place is disgusting with German cockroaches all over, the rooms not that cheap either to be so gross. Looks can be deceiving its a resort and water park we booked 3rd party it looked descent and it has a decent looking water park as well but after paying online when we got there there was hidden fees it didn't say anything about online. Like the parking fees and the extra fees and taxes they add on the resort free you pay. It would have been better they were clear with prices and didn't have bugs so horrible.....

Kids enjoyed the small water park. Rooms were not bad. So if you want ok this is your place. Really was not impressed. Has 3 bigger slides and the reat are very little kid slides.

One of the most relaxing days that I have had in a long time.

Planned a last minute vacation for the family. Would not stay here again. Our room had ants and roaches. When I complained to an employee she told me The weather brings out the bugs and its normal in Florida also the shower pole in our bathroom was broken but still usable. And lastly the room floors were very dirty. They must not clean the floors. Let my child crawl around a bit and his hands and knees were filthy. Only positives that staff is friendly and the bed was comfortable and the water park was nice.

A nice resort with plenty to do, but in need of a small amount of renovation.

People just tend to smoke anywhere including around kids and staff doesn t address it. Horrible. I would suggest Nickelodeon resort over it. Price only okay due to the added benefit of the water park. Facilities are aged and a bit dirty. Customer service is okay, but didn t do anything when we called after 11pm as kids couldn t sleep due to people sitting outside their rooms being loud.

Awesome stay as always. Brought my son and 3 of his friends and they had a blast in the water park then the arcade. Have many to the resort many times and plan on coming many more.

We saw cockroaches told the front desk . They moved us to the other side resort . In our new room for 15 min and saw more roaches. The manger told me she would come to our new room that night.
After waiting for her for a hr . Me and my 5 kids slept in our rental. Bugs bugs bugs

I can not ask for a 5-star resort.x the price one pays.but we left very happy.satisfied.with everything.my children very happy.because there is a bit of everything.to keep them busy.I was very happy. Only bad thing is that we could not enjoy the screen to watch mobile phones in the water park, but it is not something that subtracts points.

Our kids loved it!! Water park is really nice and it wasn't over crowded. The rooms on the other hand not so much. I had a connecting room with my family which was nice, decor was nice and cleanliness was good. My issue was only two outlets worked in the entire room so I couldn't plug in the hotel microwave was and only two electronics at a time. None of the irons worked and the quality of the TV was horrible in the sense of it had horrible picture. This is the 20th century was doesn't the TV have HD it was hard to watch a program with a bunch of lines on the screen. And lastly and completely unacceptable we found blood stains on some of the pillows. That to me is unacceptable and should have never been put on. The staff was very nice and the one lady we dealt with all weekend Ms.Sylvia was such a sweetheart. It was a pleasure having her there, she knows what customer service is about!! So I rate it a 3 more for the water park and staff. I would return and hope I never see something like that again. Overall great experience for the family

My family and I stayed at the Coco for 5 days. Although they offered transportation to universal studios there is a 4 hour gap between the 12pm and the 4:45pm shuttle. Your better off just paying the $22 parking cost at the park then get the shuttle.
The room themselves were ok, nothing really special. It was spacious which works for a family of 5. My biggest complaint and recommendation is do not eat the food at the hotel especially the breakfast buffet they offer for $12.00 per person. The breakfast buffet was empty and I understand why. The food is expensive and disgusting. Your better off going to the awesome McDonald s that is right down the road or paying $7.99 for the breakfast buffet at the Black Angus which is right next door. There are so many food places within walking distances on international drive which is where the hotel is located that you should not feel pressured to eat at the hotel.
The pool water was unusually warm and very cloudy leaving me to question how often they clean the water. Also they allow summer camp kids to use the pool so during the day the pool is extremely over crowded. When you are paying significant amount for a hotel and water park you expect to be able to enjoy the pool and resort area all day long if that s what you want. But since the camp kids are there during the day it s so crowded that it s hard to enjoy it. You get to a point where you just want to avoid the pool area altogether during the day which is the whole point of staying there in the first place.

After a 17 1/2 hour non stop drive...My boyfriend and I shortly realized we picked the worst place...(they HAD good reviews in Oct, 2016) I refused to walk barefoot on the carpet (made my feet feel sticky underneath), someone else's hair in the bed sheets. Sofa had "white" stains all over it and hairs... Basically I Clorox bleach wiped anything I would be touching, including the darn towel racks. You couldn't ask me to stay here for free next time. Luckily I booked it for VERY cheap off amoma and saved the confirmation emails but couldn't be refunded.
