CoCo Key Water Resort Reviews

My experience with this hotel is great. Families traveling with kids beware there are no microwaves in the rooms.The biggest one being there are microwaves in the room. Secondly, parking at check in area. There were several cars/vans in that area that were parked making no room for through traffic. The rooms and bathroom were large and the layout was nice. The location is good for those who like to check out I Drive

It's pretty cool, there employees are very nice, my kids enjoyed their selves.

Room was clean but had to call several times for towels, bath tissues and beds to be done

Immediately after arriving there was a brawl and people started stabbing one another with table glass and a knife right after we arrived at Coco Key. We saw blood all over the walls, puke on the ground,and complete chaos. They shut down the water park for the rest of the day due to the officers investigating and to clean up the broken glass everywhere. Kids were terrified and parents were panicking. The hotel has trash all around the perimeter, and the clientele is loud and trashy. Beyond disappointing. Only good thing we can say about our short time there was the hotel staff was prompt and apologetic when issuing us a full refund due to the crime happening during our stay.

The worst rooms. The refri super peque.poca light.since q the carpet is black churre.Llamamos the other day to arrive pq at 3 pm had not done room service.We called again at 5.05 pm because they had not I did call the room one last time at 8 pm and I asked them to please at least take us soap because they were very small and clean towels and they believe I hahahaha still waiting for them. There are nicer places to spend it as a family Coconut key. I'm sorry but I'm not coming back.

It was very full of life. I have a very good time with me and my family. I loved the water park.

No internet and the rooms in the hotel were barely functional. The only thing good was the water park.

Was told I had complimentary breakfast and ended up paying 15$ for a bagel, the whole reason I brought my son here was parrots perch which was under construction, dirty show curtains, nasty counters behind the coffee maker I ve worked in hospitality and I ve never seen some place so bad

We went for a birthday party and even though they had to close early because of the weather. We didn't even have to ask they gave us a complimentary pass for another day that could be use anytime before December 31st with no blackout dates.

Location on I drive is perfect, next to mcds and Denny's. Rooms are a good size but could probably do with new carpets. Water resort is amazing and staff are brilliant

Good hotel,Suggestion can improve by improving the prices for customers in their meals, including the price of hotel rates for customers. Do not go outside to eat out.

We spent 5 days in Coco key and we loved it. The only issue we had was our ac wasn't cooling but when we called the front they sent someone who fixed it in 30 sec. The programmable thermostat is set to not continuous run(to be energy efficient) and they have to press a button to change it. After that...no ac issues at all!
The water park was a huge hit. I watched their multiple life guards walk cycles in their "supervision area" and I watched each one of them look in specific hazard spots within their areas each time they cycled. This is what they did the entire time we were out there...walk, check spots and return...over and over. It was very reassuring and impressive! You can tell that the resort enforces the life guard training to do this because every single one of them, stationed throughout the water park did this same thing. Well don't coco key!
As for the actually room, smelled and looked clean. Every employee was kind and accommodating. We will definitely come back and recommend it highly.

Don't stay just go to the water park it's not worth the money that they charge you The room's look like a Motel 6 NO Motel 6 actually look better

Place is not bad, consider if you have kids. It's like a huge waterparks, many things kids could do keeping them occupied all day long. Rooms are way overpriced. I understand is in tourist area, still over price. Drinks are outrages, you better off going down to liquor store saving you lots of money. Food is also horrible, even breakfast. Eggs looks and taste horrible. The food looks like MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) reminds me what military served. Great service, and atmosphere, reasons for 3 stars, Food is horrible, Rooms and drinks are way over price.

I had a great stay here. I would like to return when the weather is better. It rained the whole weekend yetI was comfortable in our room.

Upon arrival I was super impressed with the way this hotel looked compared to pictures online. I thoroughly had an amazing visit here. The tradewinds restaurant was amzing for breakfast. The water park is a definite bang for your buck. Will visit this place next time I'm in Orlando!

I did not use the rooms at all, but the park was fun with my ~20year old friends

We had an awesome time!! Its worth the stay. We didnt stay but paid as much.

Stayed in one of the king suites right off the water park and my daughter loved it. Room was clean and decent size

This was the worst experience of my life. I had a reservation, and the hotel was booked to capacity. Instead of calling and informing me of the issue, and letting me know they had given my room away, they let me arrive with no advance notice. The manager Miranda was the most disrespectful person I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She not only treated me like it was my fault, she didn t so much as apologize for the inconvenience. I would never attempt to stay at this establishment, and will not ever have anything good to say about them. I never raised my voice, and she told me I was being belligerent. Thank you for ruining my birthday weekend. Do not ruin your trip by booking a room here!

The workers are nice and helpful here. Plus the resort is convenient it has everything all around it

Horrible...on July 13 at about 8:00 to 8:30pm a riot started in front of my room #4104. About 20 people trying to kill each other. 6 cop cars and ambulance came. Things were thrown at each other and mace was used amount these adults. Ladies and Children were screaming. Because my son witness the incident and was the one that told front desk about it, I feared for our safety. At 9:45pm front desk suggested that we move rooms. Which means we would be sitting ducks while carrying our suitcases. Brianna told my son that if we moved out that night one night would be refunded. By 10:00pm I and my son where at the front desk along with 6 unruly families. Brianna immediately started that she needs to have her supervisor review it.

In July 20th a letter to Jessica and Brianna was faxed. I was told by front desk that my letter was placed on Jessica (supervisor) desk and she will call me ASAP. I called twice. Today is the 22th. Still no called. I believe that this resort employee s is full of BS.

The water park too was very crowded and dirty. Spend your money where it's safe, clean and that have employees that have integrity.

Rooms are different from what you see in pictures, stayed 2 nights i ask them for a crib and thy did not have 1 available, i open my room door and the smell of Marihuana on the hall was very strong we went and told them but nobody went there to supervise, i also called to ask for more coffe next day but no body answer the phone.
i was there with my baby and my 4 year old.

I did not like it, it is very expensive for what they offer

Water park only visit. Very fun and awesome day. Something for all ages. Great way to spend a hot afternoon

HORRIBLE Rooms dirty and smelly unpleasant the hotel very old and unattended, too expensive for such a mediocre hotel, nothing to do with the pictures ... I do not recommend it

Not of staff rooms remind me of motel 6 i did see one roach in shower they almost did not providd an offer they sent me i willnot come back

Good price for the room and you no have to pay extra money for the water park.

Dirty. Nothing like pictured. The carpet has black stains everywhere the tile in the bathroom as well. There is mold above the shower. The couch is covered in stains. We booked through universal so trying to geta refund and new hotel was ridiculous.

My favorite place to go in Orlando! I love the water park and our room was really nice. Gloria checked us in and was really awesome. Gloria made us feel so at home and welcome when we walked right through the door. Caleb and Kras are awesome bartenders. Excellent drinks and food. Awesome Tiki bar! Love the parrot mascot. Love love love this place!

First of all the room smell like water damaged. The rooms look nothing like the picture. Our first room had Bed Bugs We had to switch to another room! Tv did not work. The water park was Nice that s about it! I WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK. This hotel needs to Be Renovated ASAP!

Older motel & not very clean. Waited over an hr. for room at check-in. Huge crowd at pool & water park. Customer serve is lacking by employees. Do not plan to retun.

The rooms smell like mold as soon as you walk in, the ac unit is packed with the Black Mold as well as Bacteria, Dust Mite and probably even Viral growth never getting professionally cleaned and the rooms are very muggy bc we cant use it or we will breath in the filth. The floors make our socks black they arent cleaned right, many other people are saying the same things about their rooms, they charge as a 5 star hotel when it's currently a 2 star motel at best. Their room fridge even has dangerous rust that you could get tetnous from. I'd stay away until they do a resort overhaul. I happen to be licensed in hvac and indoor air quality and am an expert in these things, its indisputable. Where I'm from the health board would order an immediate rectification... wonder what Florida's would do...

Not real impressed with employees. Have too many complaints to list.

great water park for kids, hotel attached is a plus

We had a great experience at Coco key. The person at the front desk was every kind and helpful. The room was clean. The Waterpark looked amazing, we weren't able to go die to the weather.

A family friendly hotel, my kids love the water Park

Lovely place lovely staff spotless cleaned propley every day i only gave 3 stars as no night time entertainment and on 3 separate nights tryed to get food and stood at counter for 20min and never saw any kitchen staff at all so had to eat out and after all the walking i had done at Disney i dident really feel like it but i will be going back as i liked it very much

Honestly i wasn't expecting a 5 start hotel style but for the price paid for a week it should be way better, the room smell terrible plus as you can see in the pic it was damaged. The staff was ok no complaints about that but at 9:00am somebody knock the door 3 times for what!! people on vacation don't want to be batter for no reason if they want to clean the room wait at least till 11:00am. I don't recommended this place but if you don't me its up to you :)

The property was clean inside and in the parking lot. The employees were engaging, had a smile, and were attentive.

Traveled with my 8 year old nephew. The water park was fun for him. Teenagers and up would easily be bored with it I think. The main pool area was nice. My room was nice and seemed clean. Ordered extra blankets several time from the front desk with no resolve. Then we had a clogged toilet. The man who showed up to unclog it did provide me with the extra blankets but that was two days after the fact. Other wise good experience.

This hotel made me feel so at home while I was in Orlando

The water park was better than the room. There was no microwave on our room and when we asked for one we were told there's a $10 a day fee to use microwave

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL it is roach INVESTED THE LIGHTS DONT WORK SHEETS WERE DIRTY WHEN WE GOT HERE the lights are broken

This place is fun for children and adults! They have something for all sizes from baby-up! However $4 for a bottled water is a little much, definitely recommend eating before you go.

Dirty! Gross! Nobody wearing a mask! Over crowded! Roaches! Drug deals all around! Do not recommend!

A Juul pod was found in my room be housekeeping and left on the counter, apparently belonging to a previous guest but assumed to be ours. My husband and I had our 2 children, under the ages of 4, with us in the room. There are also no fitted sheets for anything but the cribs they offer for infants. Also, my husband booked the room as it was advertised for $45/night. We paid, with taxes, hotel fees, and TO PARK OUR CARS IN THE HOTEL PARKING LOT WE WERE PAYING TO RENT A ROOM FROM(parking alone cost almost $200), over $400 for 4 days. Upon the morning of checking out, at 9am in the room still, the door connecting our room to the one next to ours was banged on by the people occupying the other room as I was packing our belongings. Very rude. Will never stay here again.

The cleaning so far is going well, the park is not yet gone and it looks good, stand a Motel in Venezuela, the resection could be better have tremendous space and bad organization, in staff is good cleaning the room did not change the savannah and It's stained. The hubicacion really serca maximum 20 minutes of the parks, to which I was Aquatica to 14min. The park for the car charge per day deposit and also charge for the park and incidentally an administration fee almost the same cost of park for the car, the restaurant, for the cost should have more things. And the truth and seen chiripas outside not yet inside.

Great clear good location need to give a bigger towels at the waterpark

Stayed there for one night, and was more then enough. Bad service, overpriced, worse Wi-Fi with only 2 people pr room, at 0.3 mbps at best. Not worth it

We had such a wonderful time here I must be honest and say that the reviews worried me at first ,but we stay two days that were absolutely great we had absolutely no problems staff was amazing our room face the water park it was a great stay for my grandson and son

This hotel needs to be rated as a 2 star hotel because it is extremely run down, old and not clean. It is definitely it worth the price paid for it. Some of the staffs were really nice and helpful.. but it s a poorly maintained hotel. I would never stay there with my kids again..

Lack of cleaning in the room the floor is very dirty

The water park is great for kids, Pools stay open until 10pm, not sure how the food is at the point in my trip bc I have not eaten yet, but the rooms are smelly, the carpet is old, the storage is limited and the paint in the bathroom is chipping. This may not mean much to some but this place is not up to my standards.

Sold out, gave us a lesser room than booked, dirty room but beds were clean and comfortable, No ice available. Kids enjoyed the very dated slides/Waterpark for awhile...pool was heated, hot tub very overcrowded. Convenient to to walk to restaurants. Probably not worth the money.

Good stay kept us busy when we werent at the parks would visit again

Ask questions about charges. The add on fees resort fee 34.00 per night, parking fee 10 per night. The crazy thing is they do not tell you at check-in. The rooms has roaches but that's been disguised with pant. It also smelled of mold and the main attraction wasn't working so the kids were disappointed.

Had a great time more like I had a Blasssssst. I love this place.

I read lots of reviews before our stay here. I was a little scared, but to be honest it was not a bad stay. Ya it's a little outdated...but if you are there for vacation, you probably won't spend that much time there. They cleaned our room each day and refreshed our towels. We were so busy that we didnt get to visit the water park, but it looked pretty cool from what we saw. It's on international drive, so on our last day there we just walked around ans bought soveigners from the surrounding store (much cheaper than buying at theme parks). There is a resort fee, but it includes the water park..including the day you check out. People complain about this place, but it's cheap..so you get what you pay for.

Having a fabulous time. Weather's fantastic. Good location foods been good. Rooms clean and pretty big. No complaints

Well worth the 30 dollars. Great food and drinks. The wait for the water slides were short. The life guards were all over the situation pacing the pools while insuring safety for the novice swimmers. I highly recommend recommend it

As I was checking in I heard a woman complaining about how the water park was closed her entire stay and the staff told her there was nothing they could do.The lobby smelled like poop. I checked in and got to my room and the room smelled like mildew and when I went to turn the ac off and put the heat on the vent started smoking! I hurried and unplugged the ac so the room wouldn t burn down. From then i knew I didn t want to stay the entire stay. Their were only 3 water slides in the water park. The one pool inside the water park was closed. The drinks at the bar were good but that s about it. I checked out earlier. Wouldn t recommend this place. Only gave it 2stars for the drinks.

IT WAS NICE KINDA PRICEY ALL FOR ALL GREAT FOR THE KIDS.
