Staff was great but rooms need a big improvement. Yes it's true what others have said beds do not have fitted sheets. We also saw roaches next to the fridgerator at least 7 when we got to the room and turned on the lights. The pool does have a white cream like residue on the edges which was pretty gross. The blue couch in our room has some white residue on it , only god knows what that was. The only thing good was the staff, we had a clogged toilet and someone came to fix it literally 2 minutes after I called the front desk.

If I could gave this place half a star, I would have. The staff is awful with the exception of maybe 2. None of the soda vending machines worked; when I asked about it, they didn't have a clue. Instead of just giving me a bottle of water, I had to walk across the street to the convenient store. The bar food was awful; I had to remind them what was suppose to be on my food. Don't think about complaining to anyone there because they don't care. I wouldn't bring my dog here if I had one. The place looks like a dump. Please, if you love yourself or care anything about your family, don't bring em here; not even for the water park . I'm going on every travel outlet possible to discourage people from staying here. Awful!
Service was friendly and rooms are clean. Rooms are a little dated. Not all plug ins worked and tv was older with no HD. Room was always hot, air conditioner could not keep up and weather wasn't that hot in mid December. Windows don't open so no chance of cooling off with the evening air. Pool side was nice, pools are warm and clean.
Fees , fees and more fees that u dont know about until you check in , there are resort fees then 10 dollar per day parking fees then a charge per person per day to use the water park, then my room wasn't available to check in until 5pm after I was told I could possibly check in at 1pm but if I paid an extra 35 dollars somehow I could get in my room early but I guess since I chose not to then I waited until 5.
We stayed for 5 days this month. This is a very family friendly resort with awesome staff. Our last night we hung at the tiki bar by the pool (not waterpark) our bartender was a sweet, attentive, friendly woman. She didnt have a name tag but she had long braids and told me she was new. I also enjoyed Kevin, who was assisting the lady bartender, a very insightful and ambitious charming young man. These staff members left us feeling like family! Great place! Great time!
Great resort, but rooms need to be remodel and upgraded and have at least a microwave in the room. The resort plus the water park itself makes way more than enough money to remodel the rooms. Carpets should be steamed cleaned more, each floor smells like mildew when you come out of the elevator when walking to your room, also the air conditioning units in each room could be upgraded as well. But other than that the resort, staff and water park are nice.
Keep looking!! They gave us the wrong room with one bed, then when we got a good room with 2 beds, there were crumbs in the bed!!! Our phone did not work to call front desk. Had it replaced and could not reach room service. Felt dirty and neglected. Looking for the blow dryer??? Look in the closet!! One would think it would be on the wooden shelf under the sink, sadly it was a search and rescue for my hair!!! Parking fees were 68.00 for 3 days! The reservation was lost, thank goodness we had confirmation!!! This was a Budget Inn with a water park that we did not use. I believe there are extra fees or tickets for that as well... The parking lot DJ was amazing!! Everyone loves Rap music in the middle of the night outside your room! almost jumped out of bed at 2 am in my Muu Muu to dance. The DJ was free!! Amazing!! If you want to Boogie Down in the parking lot, just give it a few minutes, because you will get a variety of music as several cars sit in the parking stalls and blast! I forgot to mention the dampness of the sheets, really grossly damp. I had turn the air on and fluff up the sheets to dry them out. We had no comforters on the beds, which gives it a hospital feel.. but don't get excited, it is not clean enough for surgery! Ozzie was adorable, but after our third time at the front desk, he wasn't happy with us, because we had such problems getting a decent room.
The worst place I have ever stayed at. Got there and had to pay and additional fee for resort and parking fee (mind we already paided for room online). Got off elevator and hallway smelt so bad like a musty smell. Got to room and smell was worst. We was so tired I sprayed perfume and went to bed. Woke up with eyes itchy and puffy, discovered mold on walls in bathroom. Also half of electrical outlets didn't work. Checked out and was asked how was my stay so I complained about all of my concerns and checkout person just said oh I'm sorry (in the I don't care sorry for you luck tone). I strongly do not recommend this place, especially if you have any allergies or respiratory problems! First stay and the last!! Thank God it was just over night. What a waste of over $100.00 after all the fees.
They slide was broken they took extra funds that's not told to us the AC didnt work they hot tub didn't work smh but our kids said they had fun our whole trip so thats all that matters
1st things 1st the resort part of the place (bar pools water park arcade ) get a 4 1/2 stars. The rooms are anouther story. Carpets need cleaning real bad! Rooms stay humid making everything feel sticky. A good shampoo( or replaced) and a dehumidifier could fix it. Beds could be softer too.
I would definitely recommend this hotel especially if you have children! The staff is very friendly and the water park is awesome!!! We had a great stay and will definitely be back . Oh ya the pool and hot tub was a plus too!
I saw over a dozen people slip and fell on their rear at a pool deck turned walkway, an hour later a life guard came with a squeegee and attempted to push away the never ending puddle. My wifi did not work, when i called the front desk I was forwarded to a recording. When I call ed the front desk again, the young lady stated there is nothing she could do. I emailed the "Manger" and up to a week later no response.
Booked this hotel for a family vacation while we hit the theme parks. The staff was friendly but the place is definitely dated and past its prime. This alone was a disappointment. Our Check-in was a bit delayed and when we finally got into the room we found 2 bed bugs! One Crawling on the bed and another on the night stand. We got out of there as quick as we got in the room. It was a pain and major inconvenience to find a hotel last minute since it was already the evening and we were tired from traveling all day with our kids! This almost ruined our vacation but thankfully we found a hotel 8 minutes away.
The workers we're very nice, but the hotel has bugs roaches etc. This place can definitely use some remodeling. The stay here was okay the roaches in the room really turned me off.
The water park was wonderful, but there wasn't any handicap parking throughout the entire resort. The rooms were clean, but they didn't make up your room until late in the day between 4:00- 5:00 to late to be acceptable. Weather was great.
First, I would like to start off by saying I rented a Pool Side Deluxe Room for my daughters birthday. We get there to check-in and I was told my room was already rented, but we have a bigger room for you. We go up to the room and it only has two pull out couch beds that the springs were sticking out. Really no Thank you. Go back down taken all the luggage to get another room. While I am waiting for them to find me a room a lady standing next to me gets upgraded to a Pool Side Deluxe Room. I was told they didn't have anymore. That's a lie......So I get another room the toilet has feces in it and would not flush. Manager came up noticed it and at this point we are just done. Because I rented thru Tickets at Work which is a third party they could not refund my money. They fixed the toilet and we got in the room at 1:00am. Next morning went down stairs because we were promised to get the pool side deluxe room the next day, another Lie.. They were all rented. Andrew said we will not charge for one of the nights. Reminder yourself I paid for this already thru tickets at work. I get home to check my credit card and I have been charged for 2 nights no credit and this is UNBELIEVABLE.. I ALREADY PAID FOR MY TERRIBLE STAY. Why am I being Charged Twice. This to me is a dirty underhanded situation. Telling me oh I will give you a credit, but you are charging me for something I already paid for how is this a credit. I have tried to call the Owner, but no one will let you get in touch with them.

If I could rate a 0 that would be what this place will get. Omg please take the comments serious I'm glad I brought in scents the smell is something unusual the first night I seen over 6 cockroaches omg then they just got bolder and bolder seem like I was in the movies Joe's Apartment if you haven't seen it then you need to watch then you will know how the stay was never will recommend this place to anyone.
Pools and water park were great customer service not-so-great bedroom first one I got was horrible stains mattresses shower wet had to switch to another one much better
During our stay, they were in the middle of changing owners. We were originally given a room with old carpeting that was a pretty musty smelling, when we asked for one of the remodeled rooms with hard wood flooring, the staff accommodated right away and were extremely understanding and helpful. This appears to be an older resort, that is currently undergoing some major changes, with updating, remodeling, and new ownership, and it appears to be changing for the better. The water park and pools were great for the kids. It is so close to Everything from restaurants, gift shops, grocery, Walgreens and Chuck E Cheese is directly across the street. We cant wait to see what it will become in the future after all the hard work pays off!!
This place has potential. The water park, pool and bar were great but the rest of the resort seemed outdated! The rooms were dark and dingy, bathroom, walls and door looked dirty, the tv and phone were old, food was mediocre, the lounge chairs and towels given seemed to be from the 90s. I guess I was expecting more since it calls itself a resort
We visit this hotel once a year to celebrate our kids birthday. This by far was our worst experience. The water park was awesome. The restaurants were very slow and the rooms were gross. The shower was full of mold and mildew and the air vent was covered in rust. The sheets on the bed was beaded and very itchy. This will be our final visit

I'm not a picky guy. It's a nice place, friendly and affordable. Some minor drawback like the ice machine closer to my room was down during my visit and the bathtub was semi clogged.
They have alot if Amenities, the scenery is awesome. You can walk to alot restaurants that's near by. We just love our stay here for the 2nd day. They also have water park, Arcade, swimming pool, restaurants & bars.
I had a stinky room. My sheets on my bed was damp. A family walk into my room with a key while I was coming out the bathroom. Not sure if I would visit again
I stayed in building 6, which was closed in. The hallways were a little shabby. All of the doors appeared dirty! (A little scary) once inside the room it was clean but had a musty smell. The staff was amazing! They were very friendly (like chick fi la workers ) They were willing to help in anyway possible. I would recommend if you re on a budget.
Very pleasant, enjoy the pool, the big water park n the hottube, along with a bar were you can sit down n relax n order cocktail drinks, daquiries, beer, n much more on the premises, very layed back resort for a family vacation
Ok hotel. Rooms need some fixing up. Broken things in room. Shower leaked all over bathroom floor. Had to request more towels, only gave us 2. Pillows were like bricks. Waterpark was very crowded and you need a wristband to get in, even my nephew didn t like it.watepark doesn t open until 11. Also pool towels are kiddie size. Bring your own towels! Regular pool was really nice and relaxing. Hotel in great location, lots of places to eat and free shuttles to Universal City walk! Arcade was ok, nephew won 1200 tickets and prizes he picked were decent. We enjoy but probably wouldn t stay here again
I loved the stay there. Some of the staff looked like they didnt want to work there. Some did. So it was 50/50. Room service was good. Accommodated just fine. One roach through the whole 4 days and we had kids and food everywhere so it didnt bother us. We named him steve before we killed him. The trip was ruined by Universal Studios. They didnt get the dates right and then when they corrected them they didnt do it for the 4 nights just 3. Plus additional things. But the front staff especially Cass. Were amazing. The manager helped us out for the last night. We got an awesome bday surprise as it was mine and my neices birthdays. The water park was HUGE and the kids had a blast. We won so many tickets for prizes in the arcade during our stay. The room was a bit stale at first but we cranked the AC and it was fine after that. The food from the restraunts was great. And the bar was good too. Though I wish the front bar would have been open as our room was right in front of it and the front pool as well. Pool was heated so even though it was a bit chilly in the evening after the 2nd day they got to swim. I felt bad because of the mishaps that Universal put me through but the staff really did their best and made me feel much better. I 100% recommend the hotel and will be back next trip we take for sure. I hope we get the same room too.
This hotel I stayed at was because I was with my family going to the water park. The water park is very kid friendly and it has a few rides that almost everyone can go on. The staff was very friendly and the food and drinks we're good enough however I would go out and eat instead.
The CoCo Key Hotel and Resort was just okay. It was about what I expected given the cheap price I paid. The room I stayed in had a very strong mildew odor and there were several stains on the couch. I went out and bought some Lysol for the couch and bed and a couple air fresheners for the room. After that it wasn't all that bad of an experience.
My family stayed there last week. The kids were very disappointed that the water park was closed Monday-Thursday which was the days that we were there. Had this been noted before we made the reservations, we would have chosen another hotel with an indoor pool and a continental breakfast for the same price. The hot tub was closed due to repairs. We were also charged with a resort fee even though the water park was closed. When I questioned the resort fee with the water park closed I was told it was for the pool, fitness center, and game room use. In addition, the computers have not been updated and does not support google chrome therefore I could not print boarding passes. I would not go back to this resort again.
Such a disappointment. First room we checked into was filthy. We booked for two queen beds but received a queen bed and a fold out couch. One of the couch cushions had an unmistakable booger on it. Under the couch cushions we found enough food to be considered a snack. The fridge had greasy hand prints on it and even the ice bucket had a little piece of food stuck to the lid. After calling management twice and informing them of the state of our room we had to finally go back up to the office. The second room we received had a terrible musty smell. I'm guessing due to an overflowing toilet because the first time we flushed it, it overflowed and wouldn't stop running. We had to gather our things and evacuate immediately. Finally the third room we received was ok but still showed signs of lazy housekeeping. We were finally able to settle into our room about 4 am. Here's what they don't tell you about the water park. Only half of it is open at a time. They open up the childrens area for 1 hour then pull all of the little kids out so they can open the big slides. The big slides are cool but they aren't meant for smaller children and the one day that we had actually planned on spending in the water park they closed one of the slides due to bees. Apparently they don't have onsite maintenance to handle such things. The main priority of this hotel/"resort" is not customer satisfaction, it is cutting corners and making as much money as possible. This place is not well kept or maintained. I gave them two stars only because the staff is actually very nice and apologetic and they comped us 4 tickets to Sea World but I should not have had to spend so much of my time beinging these issues to management in the first place. Also, while I was waiting to speak to management, on two separate occasions during our 4 day stay, other guests were also in there with issues of dirty rooms and more commonly, their room being given away. You can expect to spend anywhere from 1-5 hours in the lobby waiting to have your issues resolved. Also, Internatonal Drive is one of the more ghetto areas of Orlando. Staff were friendly, clean, rooms were basic but you get what you pay for, building 6 needs renovating inside but I m sure they are aware. Food and drinks were great but slightly over priced. I Would stay there again
The stay at this hotel was horrible. We didn't get the room we originally paid for. The toilet was clogged. The rooms smelled like smoke and we were constantly killing roaches!! I mean big roaches. I won't stay here again ever.
