Great place for family. Rooms are not upto standards but thats what you get when you stay at a kid friendly hotel. First night in the door after a long journey was a cockroach waiting in the bathroom. Second day no room service . the gym lacks working bike and the floor where the weights are at is un even which makes it a hazard for the user. The staff is very friendly and understanding . lifegaurds are also very on top of their game watching out for any accidents. All in all the place is alright nothing extravagant.

Showed up at 6:50 PM and let me remind you check in is at 4. We had to wait 45 minutes to get our room keys. Once we got to our room it smelled and the bathtub was dirty and had no shower curtain. The phones in the rooms aren t working and I tried three times from my cell phone to get ahold of somebody at the front desk to get a shower curtain and have them clean the bath tub. We eventually went down there at 8 and they said they would send someone right up. We come back from the pool at 9 and nothing has been done. We then go to the front to talk to the manager and he said he would send someone up immediately. He did, but when the person came to the door they literally handed us the shower curtain and walked away. So we proceeded to hang our own shower curtain and clean the bath tub out ourselves. We will NEVER come back here. This is the worst service and to top it all off the floors and so dirty you need to wear your shoes inside. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
Well, what I have to say ... Your advertising in photos is amazing, they make the hotel look super nice. The lobby is not something nice .... His rooms say they go with a microwave oven in mine was not there. The cleaning service terrible lousy the beds did not fix the dust they did not clean the bathrooms they did not fix them, much less changed the towels or placed the bathroom curtains and stained tubs I am talking about the fourth 2004 .... I really felt like I was in a MOTEL .. THE ONLY GOOD WAS THE WATER PARK.
Terrible Service! Rooms supposed to be ready at 4pm but aren't actually ready till about 6pm. Front desk ppl are extremely RUDE & don't care! Can't get towels for the pool till room has been assigned to you (6pm) you & your family are stuck just sitting around playing the waiting game. HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE! Don't waist your time/money
What a beautiful Newly Owned & Operated, Renovated Resort and Waterpark. The breakfast buffet is awesome, it has everything from eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruits, pastries, yogurts, Cold cereal, hot cereal, bagles, you name it, it's on the buffet! And the water park is a great way to spend a 1/2 day at the Resort and since you are in the heart of all the major theme parks, spend the other 1/2 of your day in the Parks! Great resort, Will definitely be back.
Had a great time. Bought water park day pass, kids had a blast. Food was good and not even expensive. Definitely coming back. Staff at tentative and always smiling, very pleasant memorable outing.
The first day of arrival I wasn't impressed. First in foremost the rooms are small. Then the people who were next to us were arguing so we moved to building 6 which was a little better. Then the toilet wasnt working right we had to call 3 times about that. I won't be staying here again they need to do better .
Rooms are average but not bad. We stayed for one nigh and everything was fine. My siblings love the water park area, it is very nice water park for kids. Overall, our experience was good.
The water park was great, clean and staff was friendly and helpful. As far as my room, we had no WI fi for the week, the hot water didn't work most of the week, they are wed up the sz bed we were supposed to hv and nothing was done and the last few days we had NO! Maid service. 3 children and 2 adults and our room was filthy . We had a mountain of dirty towels in bathroom . I had to put trash on side walk to get them to take it. Front desk people were not willing help in this matter.
We had one of the upgraded rooms and it was great! Big & spacious!! The pool and water resort was such a great time. Not too busy, lines were short. Everyone had a blast!
The WATER PARK was a lot of fun. The kids truly had a blast. Life guards where focused. THE ROOM, huge. U can hear your neighbors. The A/C didn't work. The ac was LOUDER then the tv! We didn't have any washcloths in room when we checked in. Called to have some delivered . But when house keeping came the next day they took all the wash cloth and left of TWO for 5 guests.... Called for coffee wifi wouldn't work with my name and room #. Called. They gave me a name and room number to use... The BATHROOM EXTRA SMALL. All in all the kiddo's had a blast. But for what I paid I expected better. Staff was super nice. I would go again because of the water park. But just don't let your expectations be to high n you'll be fine...
Check in was rude as hell. Hotel was dirty. Kids walked on the carpeted floor in the room barefoot and his feet turned black with the dirt. Halway walls and doors had dirt and dust all over it.
I wish I could rate this place a 0!!! I traveled to this resort all the way from Michigan and had a horrible stay. There are so many hidden fees I ended up spending $100 more than expected at check in, then they took a $50 refundable fee for using a debit card. The room was DISGUSTING and I promise I m not over reacting, my children even complained about the room. As soon as we walked in it smelled like mold and mildew,the carpet was so old and nasty.The tv didn t work, the walls and lamps were stained, no real blankets just sheets that weren t clean, obvious holes in bathroom doors that had been Plastered but not painted. The water park was decent but the splash pans and slide for my younger children was under construction. DO NOT STAY HERE. Any good reviews are probably from staff or a person who s blind and can t smell.
Front desk staff very pleasant. Housekeeping was terrible. Requested 3 blankets, got 1 blanket and 2 mattress pads. Called and requested extra towels and room to be tidied up while out, nothing was done when got back. Seemed clean but old used bar of soap was left in shower. Water park was fun. Buffet was not worth the $$. Will chose another place to stay when come back.
Tony at the Universasl desk is a real big help. The staff is great . Every thing was very nice. Only thing was the constant drop drip drip from the shower/bath. If you close the door, still hear it. But all in all...grear
Grounds are not as kept up as they use to keep them. Management argued with us about the inappropriate things we found floating in the front pool. We will not return. We use to love this resort, sad that it has gone downhill, hope they turn it around soon for others who will go.
When we got there all the rides were closed. It was not advertised on the website that they were. They said they would not charge us for admission and they did. When we finally got settled in our room and was ready for bed we noticed that the bathtub was broke and mold on the shower curtain. Then the tv kept turning off on its own. After we finally got settled in bed we had to call security 4 times because of the people partying all night next door and they did absolutely nothing about it. So upon leaving they gave us a voucher and the gentleman behind the desk said it was for 1 night and park admission. When I called and checked on it a few days later I was told that we were not getting a room and that they would give us a voucher for the park for 1 day. Very disappointed in the integrity of the people and managers they ya e working there.
I never leave reviews. But I had to create an account just because how nasty this place is. The towels are dirty with stains on them, the bed smelled super bad. Overall this was the nastiest "hotel" that I have ever stayed at. And for the price "which isn't cheap either" I rather stay anywhere else.
Common areas are nice. Our room hallway was grotesque smelling...mildew and worse, but thankfully the room was better. Room adequate, though the towels were quite literally pathetic, undersized even for a hotel, and scratchy. Water park was adequate. Located in on long run of strip malls and fast food.
This place is out of date the rooms are dirty nothing works the microwave when up in smoke when used had to ask for another one the hotel wanted to charge me $10 more dollars for another one really it not my fault your appliances don t work not only that but the staff was the worst I have encountered in all my years of travel never again would I stay here or will I recommend this hotel. Don t stay here it s better to spend a little more, get your moneys worth
Good for price. Its a good jumping off point before spending a day at Disney or another facility.
The building needs updated paint and carpet. It does a have a mildew smell for some reason in hallway. The room was very large and very clean. Again just update the room it's not a complaint just a true need. The lamp looks like a dog ate part of it.
The water park is good unfortunately we weren't allowed to use the slides. Our son has a broken arm and even though waterproof cast they said no. Again probably a liability issue so we can't complain. The water in the park is cloudy so I'm not sure about that. Maybe ok maybe not. I have no opinion.
So we accidentally had a employee come in our room for no reason. There was a confusing with timing and them changing out an item in the room. We called down to the front desk and they staff was on this very quickly and followed up on this thoroughly. We got a $50 food/store credit. We were very impressed by this action and how concerned the staff was. This action added another star in my review.
I'm 50/50 on recommending this place. It's so inexpensive which is great but sometimes being inexpensive isn't a good thing. Quality matters.
The brochure looks great we were overcharged and took our kids to this place that had freezing cold water and broken slides not to mention there was people partying all night long screaming next to our small hotel room ..I would never go back here again I didn't even want to give it one star we even complained to front desk she sucked her teeth and said it's out of her control....
The only good thing is that it is centrally located in relation to the hotel. Anything you ask or suggest in relation to the room is valid. Everything is ignored. I went three times to Orlando and stayed there just for the little water park. daughter loves it and the prescient is not so tall
Great location for an all around fun for the family. It has a pool, waterpark, bar, restaurant and arcade. Near alot of the local stores and restaurants. Good place overall. The price is also reasonable for all the stuff provided at the location. Not to far from the outlet stores also.
Not as nice as we expected, pretty low budget, they close the water slide soon as we got there and blamed it on covid and it's almost $30 a person .. Not worth it small facility and room smelled like water and mildew The rooms looked ok but I couldn't stay personally it was my cousin rental so I can't comment on service or anything besides the water park..Ohhh also u can't bring any of your personal water toys they have to be purchased there
I called 5 times to verify that masks are not required, I get to the resort and he wouldn't check us in without a mask on. Family trip planned for months RUINED; I'm sorry but I will not condone my rights to be infringed upon! I feel as if I was lied to just so I would go there. I looked around and people had masks, but they were around their chins, or on top of their heads, one woman didn't even have one. My kids were the ones who suffered, thanks a lot! If your mask works then wear it, but don't force me or my kids! Thanks a lot for the wonderful family memories... Not! Worst trip ever!
The pool/water park was great fun for the kids. The room was, well, to be honest absolutely terrible. The only saving grace was the bed had a comfortable mattress. The fold out bed my kids slept on was uncomfortable and filthy. The room was so filthy! Anything upholstered was slightly sticky. The place was falling apart. We used a groupon deal which made the room $60 a night before tax. The only way I feel OK having paid that was that the water park passes were included. Don't pay any more than that for these rooms. The kids had a very bizarre rash at their hairline when we got home. It could have been from that bed. They didn't use fitted sheets on the beds! Two flat sheets!
4 stars because they could have done better. The room was clean, they just had to change the sheets because it had spots in it. The carpet smells like the waterpark. The A/C broke the 2 night lordt thank you God it was cold outside 42 did us well with a sick kid. There are No heated pools, Only the jacuzzi. Another room and I can visit again. Because everything else was Good the people was Nice and tried to help but my kid was sick and sleeping and I was leaving in the morning anyway and didn't want to leave anything behind. Management and clean up person was VERY NICE that's I can return because Hopefully they heard all my complaints.
As Floridians, this place is a hidden gem for getting.away with the family for a day or two. Tourists should consider this place. It s next to everything.
This is one of the worst hotels/resorts I ever stayed at I had to get up and move my family in the middle of night to another room because the AC was out the hot tub didn t work,Convenient store was closed, the phone in the room did not work.. Then they over charged my card....!!!!!
I looked at two rooms and I could not stay in this hotel if i had no where to sleep. The rooms smelled like dirty feet. I drove all the way over there with the kids after making several calls to the hotel asking all the questions i needed to I get there to find out half the water park was closed also. They describe this to be an indoor water park but it is not indoor. If its cold outside...which is why you would want an indoor pool area ...its cold in there. Great idea but misrepresented and was not able to tolerate the smell uunfortunately it was a huge disappointment
Horrible! The room smelled like mildew. The sheets were stained, there were towels left from previous guests with make up on them. Also we had no hot water, we were assured we would receive a refund for half the nightly rate for the days with no hot water. They couldn t even do that. Never again!
It was our first time at Coco Key this past weekend. We loved it! Room was clean, spacious and didn't seem outdated. The ONLY complaint I have is that when my young daughter and I were in the pool, the lifeguards decided to do a mock drowning scenario.. But didn't let anyone know it was just a test. Scared my 2 year old and I to death! We were in the younger kids area at that and all of a sudden we see a man face down in the pool. Please notify your guests if your going to do that! Won't stop us from going back but it was very unpleasant and terrifying for my little girl.
Why don't they respond to negative reviews? Only the positive ... you don't see that they want to improve anything. Third time in that hotel and I am totally disappointed, I do not come back and that was the family favorite.
Rooms looked nice. Parking lot is a disaster to navigate. Very noisy street. Pools looked awesome, arcade was a blast and the bar was well stocked. If you can sleep through traffic noise and want somewhere near universal/volcano bay this would be an ok place to stay.
Stayed two nights in a room with ZERO amenities. Not even a pad of paper or a pen. Sheets were not fitted so had to fix them constantly. Ceiling was filthy with what looked like black mold. Cockroaches in the room. I mean this was bad. Even saw employees doing drugs while working. Worst of all management didn't even care. Spend an extra $40 and go down the street.
Rooms were nice and clean. The biggest problem we had was that the place closes everything at 5pm. When we returned from the theme parks we couldn't even get a bite to eat or a drink for that matter.
Brought my son and his friend beginning of July 2020. Room was clean (we were in the tower rooms). And plenty on room. Staff was accommodating and polite. Water park was awesome and great for all ages Looking forward to stay there again.
This hotel is not worth the $180 a night that they charge... The rooms/ bathrooms are dirty. During our first night, they gave use a used room. It was missing items and there was some kind of worm in the bathtub. I requested extra blankets which the employee was rude and then they were never brought up. I complained the next day as we had gotten in late. They moved us to another room but not until like 5pm the next day. This room was at least cleaned. The televisions take a year to switch channels its not even worth turning them on. The telephones are outdated and do not work. The staff is not friendly. The regular pool is nice but it is small. The only thing nice about this place is the waterpark however, I wouldn't pay $180 a night for it as it doesn't even open until 11am and closes by 7pm! Save your money and pay for a cheaper cleaner hotel and use the extra cash for a theme park! This hotel doesn't even include complimentary breakfast. I was HIGHLY disappointed in the whole thing. The pictures make it look beautiful but it's a rip-off and you can find nicer resorts for the price!

Now, I had called to coordinate a surprise for my daughter because we were arriving on her birthday and nobody ever contacted me. According to Expidia, we would not have to pay a tax that they do per person, and they charged us, nobody could explain why. The game room is Literally a scam, almost all the broken machines, and even so they charge you $ or points when you pass the cards, you buy a 120 card, and it was not active or 50 min, it's a total disaster. The water park facilities, halfway, because part of the park was under repair, and those details should be updated on the reservation page, because they charge you the full price as if you enjoyed the installation 100%, that is, the cleanliness in the rooms, and the arrangement of the beds, lousy. And as for the staff, the only friendly and smiling face that we saw throughout our stay was that of the housekipping that I enter to clean when we were preparing to leave the station for the check out. The truth is that they should do something because such a beautiful place loses quality with so many negative things. Pros: Good Internet, Good Television Selection. Cons: Motel rooms need major update, left one soap and one trial shampoo for 4 days?, Very Noisy Motel...called Security on Tuesday due to very noisy room....they sent the security guard to my room to wake me up thinking it was me?? Cannot recommend at this time.
Great place for kids and even adults to cool off and avoid the theme park crowd. The only thing that is frustrating is the limited seating and people taking over the tables knowing they are not using them.
This was a fun place for the Family! We had a great time! Has a great kiddy pool and slides. Bigger slides for the older kids! Inside arcade! Great place to visit convenient location.
