Bought a Camry recently and went to CMI Toyota Adelaide on west terrace. It was good initial service as I was attended promptly and looked after well. For the problem I visited, technician informed that s pretty normal for the model. After that The consulting person asked me about the service and I informed that I just bought the car and haven t book with anyone. Than he told me that I have a capped services left on my car for $120 as my car is still under warranty and newish One. At that time I still had 4000 kms to go before service. I called them couple of days ago as it s time for service and the service lady informed me that I will have to pay more than $400 for the service to which I mentioned the conversation I had with her colleague. After keeping me on hold she went to check and said that the staff member didn t check properly and she apologised for that and said she will give me 10% to compensate and also give me some loyalty program under which I will have a free service in future. But I will have to pay approximately 4 times for service against the price they gave me during visit.
That s seriously not good as it seems a marketing strategy to attract customers and later tell them to pay more and offer more things to get them.

We brought a brand new hilux sr5 in 2013, have had an ongoing problem of it continuously wanting to jump forward ( for a better word) whilst stopped at traffic lights. We have brought this to the attention of the service staff on numerous occasions only to be told that they can't find anything wrong. They even had it for a week and we were told the staff member took it home all week and it didn't do it. That was a complete lie as the km showed it didn't really go anywhere. Not very good service in my opinion

Following a horrible experience at northpoint (just left them a review too if you want a laugh ) Shaun Beshara, Michael Ashley and the team at CMI have been absolutely AMAZING to deal with and gone above and beyond. Could not rave more about the service here!! Super accommodating to all our questions, great response time, and top quality blokes all round!! This is my hell. Parts department avoids giving you part numbers at all costs. Clearly all on commission. When I buy a car, I buy the part numbers too. Long story short, CMI wanted $290 to replace and program my key fob. They wouldn't give me the part number of the fob assembly. They also tried to convince me that keys bought online couldn't be programmed. I tracked down the part online, bought it for for $4.50 on eBay and programmed it with YouTube directions.

Total rip off. They charged me for the labour hours without even fixing the problem. I asked why, they said we don't fix sound system here. Seriously! Had to pay $135 for 1 hr. Never going back

I just want to share with people my personal experience with CMI TOYOTA at Adelaide West Terrace. I bought my brand new Toyota Corolla from them in 2016. When I made the purchase, I asked lots of questions about the Finance and insurance finance Gap. I spoke with Greg, the sales person, while we waited for the girl. When I asked in regard to paying off the loans of my car early, Greta, our finance person at CMI Toyota, very clearly told me, At Toyota we have our own finance so if you take that loan and you want to pay it off early, you don t have pay an exit fee . Now I want to pay off the whole loan and the finance people told me I have to pay a fee on top of the original loan. I was shocked and suprised. The Finance girl Greta lied to me. I told the head office in Victoria what happened when we took the loan and he said, This is very standard. If anyone out there is willing to buy a brand new car, just make sure you don t buy from CMI Toyota. I wouldn t recommend them to my friends, international students or my family. Their sales people just want to make a quick buck and they provide bad customer service.
Another thing is they don t honour their car servicing contract. I paid extra for fabric protection in my warranty but when they serviced my car last time, they got oily fingerprints on the fabric of the interior and refused to clean it up. I had to pay for it out of pocket.
As for you, Greta Simpson, you hung up on me on Friday. That s no problem but I wouldn t do business with you again. As I m involved with international students at universities, I wouldn t recommend CMI toyota to any new students.

Excellent customer service, very impressed by one of the Manager Herson. The way he dealt with me throughout was beyond the words.

He was absolutely customer centric. My all issues were solved, I will definitely recommend this place and specially Mr Herson, Very polite and straight and honest..

Just exceptional customer service. Recently bought a used Aurion from a private owner. Went to CMI west Tce for warranty transfer & service and just blown away with their warm welcome plus complimentary services.

Special shout out to service department guys, Cia (apology if spelt name wrong )always considering my car wash request on last moment & service advisors/mechanics for taking their time to resolve any queries.

I ve owned a lot of different brand cars and always get my cars serviced at respective dealership but hands down CMI guys are best so far .

I m not moving away from Toyota in future .

We just took delivery of our new car and we were extremely impressed with the wonderful service that we got from all the staff involved. From the very beginning when we walked into your showroom till when we took delivery of our new Kluger yesterday, the whole experience was fantastic. As is usual with CMI Toyota they were very efficient. Welcomed with water and a news paper details checked and varied at my request without any concerns. The waiting area is fantastic. Coffee machine, cold drinks and a TV area as well as a computer docking station spot thrown in. Very friendly staff. It's a real pleasure to get the car serviced.

Really disappointed, Very expensive, not professional , NOT RECOMMENDED.
My Prius A/C fault was diagnosed at this service center that it needs TX valve replacement, they gave me a $480 quote to replace it with NO GUARANTEE that their job will fix the problem. I paid $178 for the diagnosis only plus > 5 hours waiting !!
My friend recommended a professional technician who delivers his service at home, diagnosis was FREE and 10 minutes he checked the TX valve and it works 100% normal. The problem was with the compressor, I bought an used one from ebay and he replaced it with total cost less that of CMI for TX valve replacement !!!!

UPDATE:
So; subsequent to my review and as per their reply, CMI have contacted us and apologised for the whole business and have offered to pay for our next service, even if it's not done through them. While it doesn't take away from the very serious questions it all raised about the consistency of their workmanship, it does illustrate that they do value good customer service and are willing to take ownership of a mistake when it happens, even if perhaps a bit late.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
An extraordinarily bad effort all round.
My wife's car has been serviced here since new.
At the last service they managed to shear off a bolt which should never be machine tightened.
In attempting to fix it and remove the broken bolt, they made it worse and damaged the surrounds of the bolt hole.
When they returned my wife's car to her, they had not taken it for a road test. This was most evident when she attempted to drive off the site and the first cylinder wasn't firing. They had not reconnected spark lead 1 (the site of the destroyed bolt).
We took the car back for them to remedy the situation and were told they had double checked the car to make sure everything was perfect.
When I cleared their driveway, I found that the engine light was on. Apparently double checking doesn't include using their diagnostic tool.
Utterly appalled at the terrible workmanship and incompetence at this site.

Very good service. However, while we were waiting in the lounge, a man was working on something in the ceiling, through a manhole, while standing on the very top step of a step ladder. No one was holding the unsteady ladder while he was on it.

Serviced and charged my wife for something after only 6 months and 3000km (on a near new car) which didn't need servicing anywhere near that frequently. I called them out on it and got a refund. They also said brake pads were 80% worn and recommended new pads. We went to a different place and brake pads were actually only 10% worn. Please make your judgement on how honest they are from this information.
