This is my hell. Parts department avoids giving you part numbers at all costs. Clearly all on commission. When I buy a car, I buy the part numbers too. Long story short, CMI wanted $290 to replace and program my key fob. They wouldn't give me the part number of the fob assembly. They also tried to convince me that keys bought online couldn't be programmed. I tracked down the part online, bought it for for $4.50 on eBay and programmed it with YouTube directions.
