Club Med Resort, Bintan Island Review

amazing place with amazing people- best week of my life!
the building is a bit dated and some parts of the village do not have elevator-
wifi was not too stable but this is actually not bad as the whole point of staying here is to relax and disconnect with the world!
all the activities are well-organised, especially the shows and parties at night and Teens/Mini Club activities- the GOs are incredibly nice.
a pity is that watersports is closed due to strong monsoon.

Amazing stay at Club Med Bintan over Christmas and the new year. The circus team (Allison, Azfar, Wayne, Kate & Susan) are aficionados of the flying trapeze. Highly recommend this activity. Would 100% love to visit again. Thanks to everyone who made this trip so worthwhile.

My whole family loved the resort. It is a well run place. The people are so much fun and engaging. There fun are activities for the kids and adults and you can just hide somewhere shady when the day gets too much.

Overall great experience! Great variety of activities to do for all ages. The main dining hall serves great quality cuisines of different regions. GOs are kind and hospitable, and each has many talents. A great place for family with children to vacation. Highly recommended!

We live in Singapore and would like to relax without taking any planes, clubmed bintan might be your destination. Good variety and quality of food, and the mini club entertain your children with tons of activities.

Meals and drinks are served in a beautiful environment 24 hours a day. There is an original park of monkeys on the balcony of the room, and the swimming pool is large.

I visited about a year ago now. And wow. The price was definitely worth it. The drinks and food were delicious. Everything there was perfect. Unfortunately I had too much food and felt kinda sick, so... don t do that.

Great holiday place for kids with lots to do and a great kids club. Water in ocean is very clear and warm and recently refurbished rooms very comfy.

Food is very nice in resturant a cut above normal buffets.

2 golf course near by and mini driving range and putting green on site.

Staff are very friendly and the kids love the attention.

Simply great all inclusive style resort great for families but any type of traveller should be able have a nice stay here. It is an older property so the rooms are slightly dated but very authentic to the area and comfortable clean and well serviced some have been refurbished and there are many room types to chose from. There are lots of steps so chose rooms carefully if you may struggle with these, abundant wildlife monkeys, civits, moniters have to watch some of the monkeys the can be naughty, we found the all included drinks and food to be great part of the stay top shelf drinks aren't included but cocktails are great at the beach bar and are in the package. The food is fantastic, lots of it lots of variety and really tasty there are also heaps of activities with shows and entertainment to keep it interesting. The staff are just fantastic very friendly, welcoming and attentive to the guests needs would definitely stay here again and plan on coming back with more family in tow. Stayed Sept 2018 for 5 nights.

2nd to Club Med but 1st in Bintan. Great activities, food and service. Although got the far end room but great for walking. Monkey is a problem especially if want to dry your clothes outside. Will come back!! Thanks G.O.

Comfortable rooms and facilities. Everything is clean and well-maintained, especially the beach. Soft sand and clear waters. Oh and the main restaurant serves awesome international buffet.

warm welcome from the GO's since we arrived than they bring us personalize to our room. The food always pretty presentation and delicious also a lot of choices, we enjoy also " the terras restaurant" with beautiful view, we do a lot of activities during the morning until evening, we never miss the show.. always full of energies and professional team. my favorited one is million dream.. they bring you like you are in the circus place and is the great great show. All the GO always friendly and energetic every single of them . i will miss my holiday in Club Med Bintan.. and i will see you soon club men Bintan

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the whole CLUB MED Bintan team including yourself and Noridah who helped make our team building a success. Despite the initial hiccup (our 1st Muslim meal arrived 4 hours late after we kept pestering Elena for updates and no disposable cutleries were provided), the whole team really enjoyed their stay in CM and took part in so many activities. We were initially worried about being confined in the resort but CM is the perfect place for team building. We ended up doing activities with colleagues from different sections of our department.

Please help to convey our thanks to the following personnel:

1. Noridah: thank you for always working so promptly on our requests, last minute ferry timing changes and even answering to our silly questions as such what type of Mahjong tiles CM has. You are always a phone call away and readily followed up on all our pending items and sending us reminder to ensure all is good.

2. Chiko: thank you for being our main point of contact at CM. Your warm smile welcoming us at the ferry terminal. You willingly shared your contact number so that we can look for you anytime anywhere for anything during our stay. It really brought us so much convenience and we are so sorry to keep troubling you over trivial matters. You were always prompt and provide solutions to our concerns.

3. Jinny: The GO with the biggest smile and always ready to serve!!! Please continue to serve with passion & sincerity. We felt it!

4. Chef Jui: Knowing that we are facing issues with the Muslim meals when we arrived, you brought our Muslim colleagues around the restaurant and let them know exactly what can they eat and what to avoid. You continue to keep them posted whenever you bump into them at different meal times. You never fail to greet us with your jokes. We are always keeping a look out for you! Thank you for going the extra mile.

5. Ghazzo: A big big thank you! You came to us to clarify on the CM sharing that we requested. You stepped up and did the sharing based on our requirements. The sharing was insightful and engaging, seldom do we see our colleagues having so much fun in such settings. You really brighten up the room. On our last night, you bothered to come by to bid us farewell as you won t be able to see us off on our departure day. Our hearts are full of Gratitude!

6. Sophia and the Bar Team: A Big thank you for serving us all graciously and taking care of all our beverage needs during our stay. With feedbacks pouring in about how good Sophia makes her Gin which is a recommended to go for!

Finally, we d like to express our utmost gratitude to you Riz, for pulling your team together to allow us to have a successful teambuilding. We ve been receiving raving reviews from our colleagues on the amazing hospitality they ve received at CM and many have expressed their interest to bring their families to experience the Club MED life.

If you were thinking of coming here, think again. I'd rate this place 0/5 if i could. For the price we pay, the experience was horrendous. The rooms are underwhelming and moulding, staff are extremely untrained and rude (unless you're caucasian, then they're nice - not being salty against caucasians but it's just a harsh truth against asian looking people). We aren't even allowed bring food to the hotel room (which is already moulding) for someone feeling unwell just because of hygiene reasons..?? Electrical problems, bad and confusing resort layout with minimal signage, and not to say the least, very un-baby friendly (stairs everywhere, limited lift access) for a family oriented resort. Again, please look elsewhere.

Our family had a splendid 4 day-3 night stay here chilling by the seaside and we were served with good food. The staff are friendly and professional. Feel at ease amd relax here with the serenity of the surrounding. Suitable for family with children and seniors.

My Daughter & I stayed 4 days on Oct. She loves Teens club very much. My daughter told me that she has to come 10 times.

Where do you start? Um ... Bintan is definitely worth a visit. It may seem a bit far from the schedule to get on the ferry terminal from Singapore Airport and back on the ferry, but? I don't think it's far away, but rather it's time to enjoy the excitement. Club Med Bintan was my second visit. I visited about 6-7 years ago and visited again this year in 2019, and I felt that 'reserved'. My mom who visited Bintan twice said that this visit was better than before. Most of all, I was very pleased with the renovated facilities and the bar inside. Bintan has Club Med Beach. It's really quiet, relaxed and fun, and it's not a waste of time to watch it. The time I visited was near the end of August, and the weather was so nice that I expected it to be more humid than Korea. Of course, there's been a couple of rains, but then you can have a good time with GO inside, and you'll have a social time automatically. Language? Yes, if you can speak English, it is easy to communicate with many GOs. However, thanks to the work environment of GOs who work in many countries, even if they are not good at Korean, they say hello. If you say hello with a bright look, we smile and say hello together. If you don't speak English, my mom, who knows how to do Hello Thank you, adapts to the kindness of GOs in Club Med. At the time of my visit, Mr. Chono (I always do my best in the SHOW after dinner), Jinny (Korean inception manager, a cool and always talking veteran GO), Genie (Korean inception GO) I can't see cute friends.), Sophie (Korean Mini Club GO, charming friend who speaks French with lovely teeth), Sophia (Korean BarGO, his drink is not disappointing), Jayrate GO, Lucky GO. , Blackie GO, Jastice GO, and I've met so many delightful and entertaining GOs and GEs who can't remember their names. Revisit doctor, of course !!! If you're in a hurry to visit Bintan, stay in Singapore for a day or two. It's a chance to enjoy the charm of Bintan in Singapore and the resort in the city.

I had an absolutely amazing time there and hope I get to go back soon. <3

Very good food and the staff are really nice especially Ali from teens club

Very good club med. Many activities offered, excellent and varied foods. Beautiful setting, restaurant staff and pleasant maintenance. Simply magical spa. Small flat, few proposals of excurtions, but the island does not really allow. The advantage, it is one hour by ferry, it is ideal if you want to escape during the stay. The animator GOs are sometimes a little stereotyped but it is the med club formula. To book for holidays relaxation or fitness.

I decided to visit Bintan to finish my 2 week holiday in Indonesia. I flew to Singapore and jumped in a ferry which took me to Bintan island in just an hour. I was welcomed by the Club Med staff, and directed to my driver. 15 minutes later, I arrived in this beautiful Club Med, and was welcomed by the General Manager/Chef de Village, Jonathan Abbadie!

It was great to see him again after Kemer, Cancun and other ski resorts in France. Jonathan was as visible or as discreet as necessary. He has a fantastic presence and an amazing energy. It is pretty rare to see someone as good as he is, on the dance floor or managing his team ... Jonathan is very charismatic and he's everything a Chef de Village should be!
His team was also great, and I would like to emphasize on how impressed I was with the Indonesian team. I have never been treated so nicely anywhere else by the local staff, especially at the bar (they refilled by sparkling water with lemon daily, before I even had to ask for it!), at the restaurant and around the pool. Ditto with the staff who took care of cleaning my room. Always available and kind, they came in twice a day to make sure everything was in order!

- Ghazzo, super kind and always smiling, he took very good care of me (following an injury...) Also, he speaks like 5 or 6 languages, maybe more! And I would always find him speak another language with someone different ... A fantastic human being!
- Allison - in the circus team, also went to great lengths to help me following my injury and made sure I was healing properly. She was available any time of the day and seemed to be a fantastic addition in the circus team (I couldn't try because of my injury but Allison made it sound easy! Maybe next time...)
- Greg, the Sports Manager from South Africa, was very nice as well. Always here to welcome people and say good bye, spent a fair amount of time on the mic, entertaining people and starting the evening off.
- It was also great to see another familiar face like Elodie, who has always been a super nice GO. She's a natural!
- Thanks also to Nicolas and his super awesome wife!
- And a special thanks to the Doctor and his nurse at the infirmary, with whom I had to spend a fair bit of time. Very nice people who treated me very professionally!
3 days wasn't enough to get to know the whole team, but the ones I met were definitely top-notch!

My room was very spacious, clean and well located. I was in the D building, which was the closest to the beach, the Specialties restaurant, and the Spa. Talking about the Spa. Oh my god. This was the BEST Spa I have ever experienced in a Club Med. From the location (in the jungle) to the setting, the staff, everything was perfect. I was even allowed to choose the oils I wanted to use, and then I was taken to a personal room - very clean and facing the sea. My therapist was heavenly. I left more relaxed that I had been during my whole holiday. And prices I thought were actually cheaper than other Club Med Spas I tried in the past.

The food deserves a special mention. The restaurant had some of the best food I have ever tried at Club Med, and I loved the "around the world cuisine" concept. From Italian to Indian, Chinese to Japanese, and including Western food as well, the choice was unbelievable. The deserts also were very good (and I'm quite picky with deserts! A true daily culinary experience.

The beach is private and super clear. There is a fair amount of long chairs, and I never struggled to find a seat. The water is at the perfect temperature, and it is great not to have to share with non-Club Med people!

The resort itself is clean, well maintained, not too big, and easy to go around. These 3 days were very relaxing, and if it wasn't so far away from me (I live in California), I would be back in a heartbeat!

Thanks again to the Chief of the Village for always welcoming me in any Club Med like nobody else! Until next time ...

Excellent Club Med, with teams of impeccable kindness! An atmosphere at the top, great shows (with a lot of work upstream), a large organization with a very good village chef who invests! Varieties and qualities of the dishes at the rendezvous, bravo to the teams in the kitchen as well. I highly recommend!

Although there are only 2 main restaurants, but food varies daily, it's as if you are going to a different restaurant. Restaurant is not crowded and it's easy to get a empty table. Staffs are extremely friendly. If your child is independent, you could leave him or her with the kids club and you could have a peaceful getaway!

Great spot. The all inclusive is a winner here. We don't need to, nor want to leave! Highly recommended for couples, families and everything in-between.

So underrated. Especially in the summer months, it is the best beach we have been to in Southeast Asia. So easy, so relaxing.

This is the third time i've been to Club Med Bintan and it has indeed, lived up to what i was expecting. The staff are one amazing bunch of people who has brought abundant joy and fun to my family! The food is well prepared with many varieties all day and it has a different theme everyday! I like that the guests had a special theme to follow each night and performances which never fail to make us go crazy.

Gorgeous club! This is probably the most beautiful Club Med I have been too. Very nice lay out with beautiful views all over the place. A great variety of sports too. The Asian food is delicious, and the fruit amazing. The French food is not as good as I expect from Club Med and the bread is definitely not the same. This Club is very family oriented and less social than other clubs I have been too. Less of a community feel. But that may be driven by the fact that there are a lot of Asian languages being spoken, so it is hard to connect with others.
Overall, I am impressed with this beautiful club.

On the beach, there are all the asphalt leaking from the tanker. There are no warnings or signs. Many tourists can't wash it, and they can't go to play. If you are assigned to the room next to you, it will take a lot of time to walk back and forth every day.

Loved our holiday there, the GO are nice and always smiling. Minus points for no bin easily accessible, and the wild life accessing them is not a good excuse since there exist special bins that they can't open (for some reason, the place is littered with big ash bins instead of normal bins).

Waterfall buffet restaurant has a good selection of food. Food quality is ok as well. Nothing worth mentioning.

Overall service is good with different types of activities. But bar closes 12am and bar service is not very good

Great place for relaxing as well as for family time...

The scenery is elegant, no matter the morning or night, the sky is clear or rainy, the tide is quiet there, a very beautiful holiday. I enjoy the course of aerial yoga. The staff are warm and courteous, the meal is good, there are many cocktail items, and there are plenty of choices for alcohol/alcohol. You can try your best and find your favorite wine. The accommodation is a room facility for a general resort. The room has a balcony where you can enjoy a drink and enjoy the scenery with ease.
The small recommended hair dryer in the room can be changed to have an anion function, because the hair is washed every day, and the hair care function will be very dry.
