Club Med Resort, Bintan Island Review

Very nice and pleasant staff and great organisation for events and sports. However, there is so much food at every meal that quality seems to lack and sport facilities like the yoga gazebo are way too small to welcome more than 10 people...
Also, the timings of some activities are too eaely or too late when you are alone with a kid as it is always outside kids' club hours.
People book their sun lounger by the pool as early as 8am by spreading their towel and do not turn up until 11am and as the area is quite small for 500 guests, it is disappointing.

Magnificent hospitality, better products, things are smooth despite of peak season. Bravo Jonathan CDV and team. Great energy and amazing team.

A paradise for the soul and a team that makes the holiday perfect

Place is old and dated. Very far to walk if you're given a room at the end of the resort. Service is decent. Food is average. Presentation of the food is good but they tend to go overboard with using big and heavy plates but the food portion is so small in the middle. Not very efficient use of plates. You get free flow it drinks but they are quite watered down so you need to order more to get a kick. Activities are present throughout the day if you like working out. The night show is a literal joke, almost fell asleep, it's only good for kids, adults stay away. The resort is also very far away from the main town. It's OK as a first trip but look elsewhere as there are other resorts in Bintan to explore.

A good place for vacation, there are various recreational facilities, you can also book a seaside spa, listen to the sound of the waves and take a nap, the service staff is very professional hospitality, in short, everything in the Club is free, unless extra consumption, as long as you bring a card.

Visited the club med bintan in Feb 2017. Nice resort with lot of activities to do, great food round the clock, nice beach. Beautiful location.

Staff gave a very warmth welcome & when departing. Most staff are very sociable, they mingle and dine with you.
Their entertainment shows & events were fantastic.
Overall environment and ambiance is very amazingly nice.

Worst hotel experience I have had. bad food, empty hotel, Horrendous customer service (both on-site and follow-up through to Country Director for Singapore and Malaysia (Vijay Sharma) and Singapore Customer Service (Mahem Sivam). All Club Med cares about is taking your money. You can find a much longer detailed review on Trip Advisor, for my Feb 2017 stay with them.

The staff was friendly. We enjoyed to do a real yoga we stayed at clubbed for 5 days with my family overall was good

An amazing experience for family vacation! they have kids club that really children orientated and service was indeed very genuine and heartfelt.

Newly renovated! Great vibe, awesome food and so many fun activities!

Room:Decent and clean, not new but very comfortable and well equipped, overall good
Facilities: Nice and clean beach and swimming pool, dining area is clean
Food: Good presentation but taste average, plenty of seats in dining area
Service: Overall good, my only complain is lack of staff at pool/beach area to take drink order

Everything in the resort was great, the only down side was the beach front had oil slicks from the nearby port

It's okay for a resort but activities can indeed be improved. Rooms.are very good and the buffet is terrific. Beach was.nice and quiet

Smallest club med in Asia and the staff is friendly

Let's start with the good points. Beaches were nice, most of the staff are kind and friendly. I had some problems with my safe and the maintenance guy came within 10 mins of calling. Room wise, it was alright. Bed was made well, room was cleaned everyday.
My stay includes team building activities organized by Club Med itself. It was poorly executed for example there as no water breaks in between games in the scorching sun and it was also rushed as I was told all the activities should be stretched for 2 hours and is now less than 90 mins.
Now on to food. Honestly, nothing to brag about during my 3 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 3 dinners there. They were average or below average. Only 1 of the dinner buffet was pretty above average to me.
Now here's the bad part. I got diarrhea early Mon morning at about 5+ am. I am not sure what I ate but it was pretty bad and I am not the only 1 in my group. It must be the good there before that's what I was eating during the past few days.

5 star all the way from the staff to the place. Definitely an experience you can never forget.

i love it so much,remembered when i was 8 (2014),i came to Bintan club med with a grumpy face,thinking that the whole experience would be dull.On the first day,i remembered joining the kids club and enjoyed making new friends there.i even remembered being in a fashion show!Loved it so much! i cried during the last day of the 4 day trip ,it was just to memorable.can i ask if there is someone called rocky working there?

Amazing stay, great private beach, the GO's are very active, attentive and really know how to put on a great party. A perfect short or long vacation choice for the whole family.

Thumb up for the food, staffs and services. Rooms are old but clean. Beach is still beautiful but quite polluted with a lot of black oil spots. It might be the same everywhere around Bintan and Batan.

Wonderful experience during the stay. The entire package is all inclusive, including unlimited free flow of drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) from the bars around the resort.
Plenty of activities to do around, especially for the kids. For the adventurous, there's plenty of water sports. For the tired, there are more sedentary (non)-activities as well.
Food at the Waterfall (yeah, it is the name of the restaurant) is actually amazing for a buffet style. The chefs take pride into arranging the food on the plates, and the staff makes sure the food is continuously restocked.
Honourable mention to Yusoff, the chief Guest officer who goes above and beyond to entertain the guests, including a stage show every night.

Highly recommend, and definitely will return to this wonderful place.

Had a fantastic holiday, spent 5 days relaxing on the beach or around the pool. I was spoilt for choice with food options, my favorite being the Indian and Japanese. If I had my kids with me they would have enjoyed the trapeze lessons along with many other activities available daily. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, ultimately being the center of what made this resort an amazing holiday experience. Highly recommended.

Went there for a day trip. Bought the day pass at around SGD120. Return bus from the ferry terminal not included. Another SGD11 for that. Great value for a weekend trip. You get late breakfast buffet, a lunch buffet and all day snacks. The bars are all open and inclusive too. Got to pay for premium stuff tho. Overall great time, expect high quality service from club med. Remember to keep your day pass tag somewhere safe once you checked in the resort. Felt a little discriminated against, some staff pointed and giggled at our day pass tags.. not sure why.

this was the first time we tried club med. we had a great time . the beach is clean and seawater is clear . there are many activities like aerial yoga, aqua zumba and many more . there are also plenty of activities for kids to do like sailing, trapeze, archery . all the staffs are very friendly, rooms are clean almost the moment we stepped out for breakfast. we had a sea facing room with really fantastic view to wake up to. 3 buffet meals are provided with snacks in the afternoon . the meals are all good quality and plenty even though we were there at a peak period . there are plenty of tables to sit and it never feels crowded. there were enough staffs for every part of the resort. this must be our best beach holiday resort so far and we are looking forward to going back again very soon!

Super friendly staff, especially Jono, Blacky, and Ricardo! The bar serves delicious drinks by the pool and beach, both alcoholic and not. There is a wide variety of facilities and activites to have fun with, including but not limited to archery, stand up paddling, trapeze and more! The food is also top notch, 100% enjoy!

The Kids' Club was well-run and a lot of fun for the kids. Our Eight year old liked the fact that he could come and go and sign himself out of the club and loved being able to participate in shows.

Second time visit here after 14years, entertainment , facility and service level drop compare to the past.

Really fun and wide variety of activities, GO team super friendly, food was excellent. Entertainment every night was awesome and we looked foward to it! Definitely going again!

Friendly service. Ample of sports and outdoor acitivies within the area of the hotel. Great selection choices of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are entertainment shows every night inside the hotel, many attractive shows, bar is open 24 hours and free!! Hotel room is a little old and would recommend for renovation, but that makes us like to do more outdoor activities. The hotel is located 10-15 minutes from seaport and just 1 hour boat from Singapore, Tanah merah seaport.

Oh ... do not forget .... I will sit in seven days ... we felt every second .... meuni kompak..komo staff and head chef and versatile .... ..... want to find again and meet all there ... I miss you .... it kasaradayana .... love you ....

Great place for family holiday! Nice beach and good facilities and nice food.

I love it! I read many bad reviews on rooms but I find it pretty good. I had the sea view, book it during off peak season. Big bottles of hair shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion.
GOs were super friendly and helpful. The head chief GO, main chef and head sports guy (I can t remember names) check on us and how s everything. As Asians, I ll say everything s fine and don t give comment.
Food was pretty okay overall.
Some weren t so nice and some were delicious. We re really spoilt with so many choices. I like how the Waterfront restaurant serve different dishes with same ingredients everyday. The Terrace restaurant was a different experience but the dinner wasn t satisfying so we went for round two at the waterfront. We re such piggies.
Robyn and Sun make really great drinks. But my bf keep getting Levina who doesn t really get her ratios and ingredients right.
The slow press juice wasn t as impressive as shown in the website because it s already pre-made in the morning in a big jar. They re mostly mixed fruits or with lemon grass and green stuff.
There were so many activities, tournaments and all sorts all day and night. I enjoyed Bocce ball and got myself a medal.
One thing is for sure is the music is super outdated. I didn t quite enjoy the 8:45pm night show, pretty sloppy.
But I ll definitely go back for the water sports, beach, food and booze. It s super safe and no worries at all!

Very nice beach and good service. It is a great place for family, but not ideal for a couple. The hotel gives a lot option if you want to do sports!

hotel itself makes me feel friendly with people such as GO staffs and shows etc. but feeling lonely when you go outside of the hotel. there's nothing in this island.
