Fantastic modern hotel! Rooms are designed to make the best use of space without feeling crammed. Super clean and new! Free movies and TV, operated by an iPad. Cool reception, and as it was our first time, we got a free cocktail. Really loved this place

Fantastic hotel! Citizen M in Amsterdam is in a great location! About 25 mins out from the city centre but there's still so much to do between here and the actual centre, and the stop is just outside ! Beatrix park is right beside the hotel too! Great accommodation. Rooms are small pod rooms but I was very impressed! Great layout, super comfy bed (and massive ) and free movies is a nice addition! Staff are fantastic and it has a really relaxed feel 1

Wonderful room, lots of comfort and modern technology!

Location is good, transport into the centre of Amsterdam is very close. The room itself has just what you need when you aren't spending much time there and is very modern. The hotel itself has a 24hr bar and very friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff here are really helpful and friendly from the moment you first walk in. The rooms are a techy dream and the cocktails at the bar must be tried.

Efficient check in. V helpful staff. Rooms are highly functional but good. Mattresses are on the v hard side.

The room is small, but good access and a 5-minute walk from Amsterdam South Railway Station. I think that it is good that the window is taken large and there is a sense of openness though it is narrow.

Very nice modern rooms. Bit weird when u stay with a friend or colleague in the room..wouldn't recommend it unless you have a close relationship as bathroom is kind of exposed-they have mainly a curtain that separates the bathroom from the bedroom...and you can only see a shadow of the other person but still..! Otherwise they offer great quality rooms with nice cocktails. For a couple or people they know each other very well is great!

Geek-design experience to be ALONE

If you know the Citizen-M hotel chain, you understand me. If you don't know it, the room is a tight rectangle (container type), with the wall-to-wall bed, two kinds of tubes where the toilet and shower are housed and which are closed with transparent sliding doors.

It is small. To be alone and 2-3 days is enough. To be with a partner and for work reasons, I find it very small and claustrophobic. To work (which was my case) I escaped to very comfortable common areas.

The design is very modern, avant-garde and spectacular. At the check-in counter there is "self-service" (several modern hotels have opted for this variant).

Breakfast is also correct in a spacious area with a beautiful design

It is an interesting experience ... fun, and recommended.

Strange and small room; strange to have wc and shower just in the middle. But at least it's a design choice. The room control ipad based remote is only a wow effect. Smart for young people... don't think the same for couples or families. The 24/7 bar is great! Take a mohito and let me know!

Good friendly staff and service clean and well looked after

Quite good. Nice staff. Good location. 10min from airport and 5 min by tram to museums. Quiet and residential. Nice rooms as well.

A totally unique place, plenty of food places nearby but hotel also has good restaurant. Staff very friendly and place very close to train station.

Huge bed, all iPad controlled, you can change the lighting colour and all sorts. You don t even have to get out of bed to open the blinds!

Breakfast can be a bit of a cattle market when it s busy, with one small buffet area and a small walkway between the bar to access it. But other than that it s a really good hotel. Up there with one of the best city hotels I ve stayed in!!

Fat with self-service check in, super nice room and surroundings

Superb hotel, great rest area, dining room, ... Good atmosphere and people of all ages. Note, too, a very good bed.

The hotel is in a very good location for those arriving by car. Very nice staff and always available. The rooms are small but super modern and chic. The only downside was that the sink or drain after use for a few minutes smelly unpleasant.

We liked the hotel. The location is a bit out of the city, but the city center can be reached in a few minutes using the nearby metro or tram. The reception was very friendly and helpful with the self-check in at the computer terminal in the lobby. The room is as described: Small but stylish and functional. The bed is comfortable and has a large drawer underneath, in which two suitcase contents fit easily. Shower and toilet are designed as in the hotel description and we also liked it. That light, temperature, blinds and also the television can be controlled via the iPad belonging to the room is funny and probably also modern. However, this automatism also has disadvantages. In the past, if there was a problem with the heating in the room, a caretaker was commissioned to rectify the problem, and when the guest returned to the hotel in the evening, the problem was eliminated. Today, this seems to be a software problem that cannot be easily solved and is supposed to lead to a general change of room. That's why a star deduction. The breakfast, which unfortunately could not be served in buffet form due to Corona, was very tasty and filling!

It's really different...somebody actually put a lot of thought into what make travelers happy and they came up with this amazing concept! Free easy no signup fast internet free latest release movies cheap phone calls, friendly hip staff that love what they do... One of the best showers in the industry right in the middle of the room lots and lots of cool hangout space in the lobby...the list goes on ...but I think this is one of the places you love or hate none of the play it safe super chains

Beautiful Hotel. Friendly staff. Beautiful rooms. The ipads that control the room are fab. Way ahead of it's time. The food and drink are a little expensive though. You don't need to use the alarm clock though as the builders working on a nearby project look after you in that respect.

What an original hotel! I haven't been this excited by a hotel room since I was a kid. Very well designed space and cool room features like a tablet to control lights, blind, etc. The pubic space which is a lounge, bar and restaurant all at the same time is great too. Friendly staff make it somewhere you can really just hang out.

9/10 great staff, fast internet, modern design. Only thing I hate, no cash accepted and the website ui and checkin can be difficult

Very groovy but the toilet in the middle of the living room is a bit too much. AC was nonexistent in the heat wave and the problem was not fixed.

Excellent service and hip hotel make this a great place to stay in Amsterdam. 1 stop on train from airport and 15 mins by team to city centre .

Rooms are comfy, the beds are enormous, the staff is the most friendly I have ever seen at a hotel. WiFi is at about 100mbits or more. Breakfast could be a bit more diverse, but that's about the only issue I can come up with. Oh, more power sockets would be nice. 3 isn't much if you're travelling with a laptop, a tablet, a battery pack and a smartphone.

The staff is really friendly, smiling. We spent an original night in this room 2.0. On the other hand for the young couples it is not necessary to be modest ... :)

Rooms are really tiny .... What will I do with a outrageous large bed when the path to reach the bed is too narrow. Shower has no force and the knobs to turn on the showers are tight. No alternative footwear provided. CanteenM has very limited options very less alcohol free drinks available at the bar, no exclusive smoking zone if you are in fifth floor should go to the ground floor to smoke. The eco warrior campaign they run is valid for the same day it was issues and they issue the token in the evening so literally can't use it ....... Overall I would say it's too pricey for what it offers and will not recommended this to anyone

Unbelievable. Designer furnishings in the lobby and super-modern, modern rooms. Abundant and quality breakfast. Efficient bar service even if a little expensive. Convenient location near metro and tram.

It's okay, the whole smart room concept works, but it's insanely awkward to not be able to use the toilet without the other person I nthe room being able to look at you. Room can smell a bit bad because of this and also gets humid when the shower is used.

Perfect place for 1 person or a couple. Imposible for a family or with kids (unless getting multiple rroms). Every rooom is the same and all have just 1 bed. Pretty neat place. Now my goto place in Amsterdam.

Good funky hotel 5 mins walk with suitcase from Amsterdam Zuid railway station. Stayed 4 nights over New Year s. Room was compact and Hi-Tec shower in center of room was fun but could be awkward if first time away with someone. Location out of town but very easy to travel around as tram stop into city 90 second walk. Citizen M Ambassador s very helpful even purchased a travel card from them. Citizen Raymond was a darling. Would defiantly stay again.

Convenient location, close to Zuid station and M5 stops across the street. About 20 min from Amsterdam Central by public transit. They have free bikes to rent ( 100 deposit, but you get it back by returning the bike). Very helpful staff and quirky decorations.

Great modern hotel. The gadgets are amazing. Bed was comfortable. Shower was warm with good pressure. Room was very clean.

There is a good selection of movies and TV channels including international TV stations. Everything can be operated from the included ipad and you can change the mood lighting yourself or select a preset mode.

There is a self check-in but there were staff to help and it was super simple. Staff were amazingly friendly.

Definitely recommended for a city break or business trip. Fast WiFi and workplace.

CitizenM is unique, it's the future of the hotel.
Shame the pricing grew during the years but it remains a place you must see at least once

Strange hotel. Toilet and bath in the middle of the room

The rooms are quite small but everything is cleverly placed/designed. Lovely quirky fun hotel! A 5-minute walk through a lovely park will get you to the World Trade Centre Amsterdam. Perfect for business travelers who have to be at the World Trade Centre.

Very cool, great place to stay with very friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere. LGBT friendly. The statue takes some getting used to, but it s definitely one of the coolest places to stay I ve tried.

Rooms are minimalistic with a huge comfy bed. Great for solo or twin travelers. Hang times at the 24/7 lobby kitchen bar is awesome.

Really cool hotel with an interesting design and a lot of attention to details. Not exactly in the city center. Breakfast is alright, but nothing out of the ordinary. The bar has some interesting cocktails.
