We camped here as a big group and really is lovely place, with a lot of thought and care put into everything.
Camping fields were great size, real fires and decent toilet and water taps etc. Clear rules displayed and these were respected, supported by staff who asked a group to keep music .
Well priced and appreciated able to pay for one night only (some places insist on 2 nights min)
We had lunch at the cafe as we left, it was really tasty and with lovely touches inc pretty sheds to sit in. Also bought lovely fresh produce from the farm.

Huge thanks

Booked a cabin in pitts wood for our anniversary and took our son with us. We had beautiful views across the farm, connected back with nature and enjoyed feeding the animals and egg collecting too. The trailer ride was cancelled due to bad weather and the lambs were not well enough to be bottle fwd by the public. Meat from the farm shop was lovely. A nice place which is local and allows you to get away from the rat race with the family.

One of the things we seek out in the summer holidays is things that we can do in a morning, as that allows us to get back home in time for a nap for our youngest.

Church farm is one of those places. It's good value, has lots to see, without walking too far and if necessary you can short cut to get back to the car park quickly.

If the weather is dodgy you can duck into the indoor play area for a bit, it's basic but has some play equipment and toys to keep younger visitors busy for a bit. You can also grab a coffee or some snacks from the cafe to take in there.

The cafe is also very nice. The indoor area is quite tight on space but there are lots of outdoor tables if the weather is okay.

It's all a little rough and ready, but for the cost it's well worth a visit.

The staff are nice. The farm had lots of animals, to see and a few to feed. The facilities were not so good. The toilet flooded and lack of baby changing facilities will be a problem. I understand it's a working farm but it needed more than one facility. Other than those issues. Enjoyed the experience.

We booked a private space for a socially-distanced gathering of friends and family, and paid extra for the privilege of the cordoned off area. It was well worth it. They flagged off a large portion of a field, giving us plenty of space. We were near to the showers and compost loos. These were great. Well maintained, not smelly, and plenty of toilet roll and saw dust provided. There was also a drinking water tap and washing up facilities provided.

This is a brilliant place to go if you have kids. There is lots of space, play areas, animals to feed, opportunities to help harvest fruit and vegetables, a teddy bear hunt, scavenger hunt, farm animal bingo game and fairy door trail which kept them entertained.

BBQ's are allowed, as are wood fires. They even sell a great wood fire bundle including logs of varying sizes, a bundle of kindling, 4 natural firelighters and a box of matches. Greasy fish and chip paper was a personal addition. It was wonderful to gather around the fire and sing songs with our friends and see others doing the same.

The site also has: a cafe, a shop, a pub, a barbers, an egg shed, viewing platforms, cabins for a more glampy stay. Animals include cows (including a wobbly legged calf), pigs (including very cute little piglets), sheep, chickens, goats, llamas, geese, turkeys. You can also order food packages including meat and dairy for collection on arrival which taste fab done on the BBQ.

There is a "no amplified music" rule which I personally greatly appreciated. The site has a real family feel as a result.

The staff were extremely helpful and for much of the time went about their work almost invisibly, allowing us to simply enjoy our time.

We will definitely be visiting again. We cannot recommend highly enough. Unfortunately, 2 groups in out party could not attend due to concerns they may have been in contact with covid. I am told that there are no refunds but they can transfer their booking to another date. I'll update this post with how easy that process is at a later date.

Fun, sweet, honest, humble and great for the kids. Modest is what it is and what it will bring you. Yep, as is the way, always bringing the rainbow of social norms, and always all their with common interest of getting back to nature

Love they are trying to keep it looking natural even the toilets...

Meats are great we now get on a regular basis. Interesting sauces bring a change.

Washing up liquid and Washing laundry liquid suit my sensitive skin which is on a refill system.

Probably the worst cream tea I have ever had and it was 7 quid. Teacup and saucer were dirty, milk smelt odd, table was covered in sugar and food debris and it took quarter if an hour to arrive and only then came to the table because we went inside to ask where our food was and the tray was just sat on the side (and this with about 3 customers in the cafe and double that in staff wandering around). Can't comment on the farm animals but the cafe is awful and so is the car park.

Amazing food, eggs where so fresh, the bacon was the best tasting and thickest cut I've had in a long time, mushrooms where so flavourful.

And the price was unbeatable, really inexpensive for what you get.

The farm was a lovely experience for children and a good value day out. The Halloween trial isn't really any different from the normal farm trail unless you pay extra for the pumpkin picking and carving. However the real disappointment was More

On the past couple of occasions we visited, the service and food was excellent. However, today we had a very poor experience, perhaps because of half term. Food looked well cooked but by the time it was brought out it was cold and drinks arrived almost at the end of our meal. Recommend to visit at a weekend not during school holidays.

Speaking with authority regarding the concept of the working farm and the business plan, which affords additional monetary resources being gained from sharing the farming experience with the general public. Church Farm failed in delivering this unique experience. Their concept is to pick the pockets of the general public and not deliver a hands on experience worthy of the cost. Direction for management at this particulat location, type in Longdown Dairy Farm, this also a working farm, but delivers upon a unique experience for the general public at a reasonable cost.

As a farm experience this is fine, and well-priced - the kids loved running the fields spotting the animals and playing in the little play area.

There was one compost toilet a few minutes walk away, with no running water to wash hands. For that we had a 6-7 minute walk back to the farm entrance. If we'd known there were no hand-washing facilities in the field we could have at least brought a bucket and some soap, but this was not spelled out - cue lots of trips back and forth with the kids.

There was no running water anywhere nearby - again, we had to walk back to the main farm entrance and fill up bottles in the dishwashing area. Again, if this had been spelled out we could at least have brought plenty of bottles of drinking water, but it wasn't. Dishwashing too was back at the main farm entrance - we ended up throwing all the dirty dishes in a carrier bag and bringing them home to wash. As we paid more than we've been paying on many sites with good washblocks, swimming pools, electric hookups etc this lack of facilities (and lack of warning before we arrived about this) was disappointing.

The farm itself is worth it for a day out with young kids, but avoid the camping and the extras!

Very good place to bring the children for a fun afternoon. If it has been raining, don't forget to bring your wellies - A lot of the tracks are farm roads so pretty muddy. But plenty to see, good value cafe, and lots of fun to feed the pigs, cows and chickens.

I camped at Church Farm for two nights at the very end of August 2019, and it was perfect!! I was very impressed by everything provided, from the food sold at the farm shop to the composting toilets. There are many different animals to see (and feed!), including the most adorable piglets. I would also definitely recommend the pygmy goat experience, as you get to brush and walk the most adorable little goats. It was a perfect escape from the hubbub of everyday life. There were some noisy kids on the second night of my stay, but that couldn't be controlled by the farm. I would definitely recommend it!

This is by far the best place in the area to go with kids of all ages. Unlike other "farms", they actually grow their own produce and you can see different farm animals, feed them, collect chicken eggs etc. In autumn they offer collecting their own produce (so digging potatoes and pulling carrots etc.) that our little one (3) absolutely loves. The meat they sell is phenomenal! Highly recommend. The only reservation is their cafe where the service is very slow, but hey! you don't go there to sit in a cafe! ;)

Its a very basic campsite with lots of compost toilets. The only flushable toilets are near the shop area and pub nearby. The food is also very pricy. The rules are a lot more relaxed then what's explained online

This is a review for the farm as a campsite. The farm itself is great, lots of space, loads to see, excellent for walking. However, a massive BUT is that if you are camping with kids (under 18) then *you have to accompany them at all times when walking / biking around the site*. I understand it's a working farm and they cite dangers, but the whole point of camping for most families is relaxing and letting kids explore. It's a huge bind not letting teenagers cycle about on their own and go and look at the animals. Very difficult. Fine for families with young kids but if you have over 10s you might want to think again. Also the only field in a huge site that was allowed for camping was very small and way too full.

Church Farm Ardeley, arranged a lovely birthday party for my child. We had a really interesting and fun tractor trailer ride and then egg-collecting. The children were completely engaged in the activities. The party-food was fresh and very nice. A wonderful place..; I would highly recommend CFA for original and memorable parties..
