As a farm experience this is fine, and well-priced - the kids loved running the fields spotting the animals and playing in the little play area.

There was one compost toilet a few minutes walk away, with no running water to wash hands. For that we had a 6-7 minute walk back to the farm entrance. If we'd known there were no hand-washing facilities in the field we could have at least brought a bucket and some soap, but this was not spelled out - cue lots of trips back and forth with the kids.

There was no running water anywhere nearby - again, we had to walk back to the main farm entrance and fill up bottles in the dishwashing area. Again, if this had been spelled out we could at least have brought plenty of bottles of drinking water, but it wasn't. Dishwashing too was back at the main farm entrance - we ended up throwing all the dirty dishes in a carrier bag and bringing them home to wash. As we paid more than we've been paying on many sites with good washblocks, swimming pools, electric hookups etc this lack of facilities (and lack of warning before we arrived about this) was disappointing.

The farm itself is worth it for a day out with young kids, but avoid the camping and the extras!
