It is a very well-equipped hospital to attend to all of their pastors, treats them with respect and professionalism, they are the best in the treatment. Asia children are specialists in all kinds of physical problems and in high-risk diseases.

They work so slow. I ve been waiting since 11pm till 2am and still waiting just to see a doctor and we came through the emergency.

Children's Hospital Los Angeles is the best hospital my mom and I went there every day ever since I was young.

We went to this hospital once, the overall experience was fine.But then I keep getting calls from various numbers said they re doing survey for the hospital, the total survey cost abou 9mins, they don t care if it s covience for you, just ask questions directly. I really doubt why all the number are from Ohio? I asked if they can send survey to email, they refused! How strange! I hope it s not spam!

Disappointed took my son to the Emergency to get X-rays done and got told he had no type of fractured that he should be walking within two days and he should get well with ibuprofen and the sad news took me 2 weeks by a orthopedic that my son did had a fractured so disappointed on the way you guys deal with these kids

We highly recommend the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Our son Jack needed surgery on his hands. The staff were very nice and very courteous. Getting in and out can be difficult so I would plan ahead it's Los Angeles.

So today september 4 2018 at 8.40pm While in the nougeology department at children's hospital... I had such a horrible expirance the nurses at this department were unfriendly and rude like really is not my fault they are so stressed out with their work, then why on earth!!! do people become nurses if many of them do not like the responsibility of nursing ...but just for the money ...
This nurse was eventually putting an attitude while asking questions about why my brother didn't take his meds I mean he's only 4 years old kids don't like meds
So a couple of minutes later one of the nurses had to grab my brother aggresively and shove in the meds in his mouth at the same time blocking his nose from receiving oxygen and forced him to take his meds while he was crying and panicking my brother began to turn purple all of the sudden the nurse was choking him to death while giving him the medicine ...
I just couldn't believe!! how can a nurse !!!do this to a kid !!
Aren't nurses there to take care and save lives..
This nurse who did this is a murder

Hi my daughter was in the ER yesterday from 11:30pm till 7:30 this morning and although I have been coming here with her for years and I do love her Doctors,I was so disappointed on the service my daughter got .Judging from some of there comments here I'm not surprised she had a severe Asthma attack Chad difficulty breathing and the nurses took her inside right away but then we had to wait like 7 mins to be put in the room. My daughter was struggling to breath and I had to get up and ask what was going on.They said they needed to clean the room, but let me tell you, they had a lot of rooms ok. My daughter even felt like they did not really think asthma was that big of a deal. I'm so disappointed because like a wrote before, I love the drama and hospital buy the ER is just not what it is to be.

I constantly work with CHLA they are great. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because pulmonary dept is horrible to reach never returns calls and takes weeks to get anything clarified. Case managers for pulmo dept are not great either. I don't know if it's too busy and they are always low staffed or they are just rude al together. Over all other dept I have no issues with and medical record always helpful with getting paperwork on time.

The best hospital for children, clean up to date and friendly staff.

I was very disappointed in the experience my family and i had on Thursday, the security treated my child's father as if we were terrorists. One parent is allowed due to Corona....Which makes no sense because the other parent is forced to wait in the main lobby where there is no room for social distancing rather than allowing both parents into the room for their child to receive care.. We live in Lancaster! I went to Childrens as a child so..i figured my childern should as well..but after this horrible experience we are changing hospitals. It took two people to make this child. So we should both be allowed to be with our child in a hospital!!! Big thanks to APOLLO a male nurse in alta med

I hate this hospital. My 3 kids have been going there for over a year. Everytime they are sick and I take them in, it's a virus. Now they have a chronic cough that won't go away and get sick over and over again. They say it's asthma and a mother knows her kids best. The asthma treatment Never works for them. I am sure it is NOT . There is not even one person with asthma in my family or their dad's family. Very sad, you will think it's the best since it is called Children's hospital but they are not. Plus, expect to be there for at least 2 hours WITH an appointment. Sucks.

The first Childrens Hospital that I have ever been to that charges you for parking to take your sick child in to be seen. Cafeteria seating needs to be cleaned and should have hand sanitizer available since it is a hospital. I always see huge carts filled with toys brought in and my child has been to this hospital over 20 times for a serious condition and has never been given anything. Even after a brain MRI she doesnt even walk out with a sticker from the hospital. We used to purchase a toy and tell her it was from the hospital, but we stopped doing that and instead take her after her procedure to get her own.

Well, my son had a cencilla operation and Melo left it wrong forever because they gave him morphine for a week and his surgery was simple and they told me he was going to leave the same day

Very bad service and wings like 1040pm came 4am and I still did not spend 4 months baby who had bad with fever and much crying.

Really great but has so many patients because of it. Too crowded. Either it needs to expand drastically, or all other hospitals need to improve drastically. ;)

As a volunteer at CHLA, I was given the opportunity to meet many new people and build life-long friendships. My experience there inspired me to pursue higher education in Marriage and Family Therapy and give back to others.

This Hospital is a joke. my 5 y/o brakes his arm gets a refferal to Childrens hospital to have his arm set and put in a cast. 5-days and 22 phone calls trying to get an appointment for them to tell me they are booked and can't see my son. This hospital is BS. Mean while my sons arm is all mangled and noone seems to give a rat as%.

Its a good hospital but if its not a "real" emergency then download a few games on your phone because you'll have to wait HOURS. i have had 2 surgeries here and they went great!

Worst emergency room eveeeeeer!!!!

The front emergency room department is a joke in this hospital. I m currently sitting in the waiting room since 10:00pm it s now 1:27pm and I m still waiting! I brought my son here because he has a fever that I haven t been able to break. Ibuprofen doesn t seem to help my son and since our regular doctor is closed then we decided to come here, big mistake. I got here and explained to the nurse what was wrong with my son, she then proceeded to tell me to have a seat and wait and someone should call me soon. I sat and waited for 45 minutes and no one called me. I got up and asked the nurse to please check my sons temperature since he felt hot and I didn t have a thermometer with me, she said that she COULDN'T check his temperature!!!! I explained to her that I didn t have a thermometer and I needed to know his temperature before I gave him ibuprofen. The front desk nurse again told me that she couldn t check his temperature and to have a seat. I told her that i needed to talk to her supervisor and she told me to have a seat on the yellow chairs and wait for her supervisor to come and talk to me. I called the hospital while I waited for the supervisor and I talked to someone in the emergency department WHILE I was at the emergency department The nurse (Yolanda) on the phone told me to request that my sons temperature be checked, I explained to her that I had already done that and the receptionist/nurse told me to that she couldn t do that. The nurse on the phone reassured me that they can check my sons temperature and to request a temperature check again. At that moment the supervising nurse (Katrina) finally showed up and I hung up the phone with the nurse. I explained to the supervising nurse what was going on and she also told me that they don t check temperatures! I explained to her that I had just gotten of the phone with the nurse and that she told me to request that my sons temperature be taken, at that point the supervising nurse looked annoyed (very unprofessional) and told me that she could check his temperature and that was all she could do. I told her that was fine and she then told me to follow her to a triage room where she checked my sons temperature, it was 102.7 !!!! She also checked his weight and sent me out in to the waiting room. I waited for 1 1/2 (it was 12:00pm at that time) hours more until they finally called me in to the triage. The triage nurse (Alexa) took my sons temperature and blood pressure. Then she told me that she could only give my son Tylenol and sent me to wait in the lobby again. I refused the Tylenol and asked to talk to a supervisor since I was fed up with the care and service at this point. Very unprofessional behavior from the nurses here. I m STILL waiting for the supervisor and it s 1:55 pm! This emergency room is a joke and I recommend that you don t bring your kids here. Oh and did I mention that a coworker walked in with her sick son and she was seen by Alexa and put in to a room in under 15 minutes!!!!! Wow How is that even possible?? So I have to work here in order to be seen quickly by a doctor? I m filling a complaint, not that they ll do anything about it.....

A friend of mine s daughter underwent several medical procedures here including a few surgeries. She was born with many medical problems including Downs syndrome. She got excellent care at this hospital and her mother told me that the staff was second to none.

We live down the street and have no children of our own. Most of what I know about this hospital from personal experience consists of transport helicopters flying over my apartment complex delivering newborns to the NICU (As a former respiratory therapist with NIC Unit experience, I know for a fact that this is the best facility for critically ill children south of San Francisco). It s the only time I don t mind helicopters flying overhead.

This is the hospital you want to come to if your child is having breathing issues and is seen by the worsen, nastiest nurses ever! The ER nurse had no class, or even education! They yell and scream about patient issues which is a huge HIPPA VIATATION. So if you want your child s business told to others with there doors open come right in. If you want to never see the nurse that was assigned to your room and sends other employees to do her work come here. Yes I know an ER is not a drive thru but to sit and wait for anyone someone to check on a child with breathings issues please re-educate your staff. A hospital should not work this way!

I received a phone call yesterday asking if I wanted to have a in-home visit from the doctors to check the safety of the house and inspect and make sure everything was OK at first I was a little nervous questioning whether they believed I was able to take take of my kids or if they were safe or not, but I agreed to have them come over and inspect they came by This morning and let me tell you they reassured me that everything was fine and they didn t think I was doing anything wrong they just wanted to make my home a safer place to prevent something from happening after talking to them for a while I felt very comfortable and happy they had chosen my house to inspect they said they do this once every year they checked the outside the inside the bedrooms and they also check to see how my children s car seats were placed in my truck and if they were expired or recalled. They gave me some tips and tools to keep my home safe and I am truly thankful Children s Hospital you go above and beyond to make me and my family feel comfortable thank you so much for caring. I am truly thankful for my children s doctor Patel N.d. and the staff at Children s Hospital my family and I Love the hospital and we appreciate everything you do when we have a dr app we feel very comfortable and I never leave with questions unanswered but for you to come all the way to my house and check the safety is incredible thank you so much for caring and taking the time to visit and giving me Some peace of mind and reminding me that we are all human and mistakes happen but we could never be too safe! Thank you so much both Dr. Patel s I don t remember the third lady s name and I apologize for that but thank you as well for checking my children s car seats !

When I walked into the nurses desk there are at least 10 to 15 nurses just chilling, laughing and not caring about all the patients outside until my mom and I walked up to the desk to get a reading for my TB. Children's was doing great in my eyes until my last two visits. Where they lost my files of shots records and they took an awful lot of time to do a reading of a TB and said we need appointment. They have some nurses rude and have attitudes can do your job and do it well and not have an complaints.

This hospital saved my life! I am a pediatric cancer diagnosed long time patient. If it werent for the support of this hospital, the staff, and the loving support of everyone, I dont really know what I would do. I am especially fixated on the new edition. The rooms are large and accommodating at the same time they have an eased way of helping you get better. It's great. Keep up the good work!
P.s. The comment below "only Latinos work there... if there were more African American, and caucasian the service would be better," shows that person's close minded negligence. First off this is not one of the best hospitals in the world for nothing. Second; its a childrens hospital not an adult hospital they are not working to serve adults. Third; the ratio of ethnicities are equal. You can easily see that by walking through the cafeteria during the lunch rush where you will find a multitude of employees of different natures.

I had surgery here in CHLA when I was a child.
And my stay was 15 days. The staff was fantastic!!! The Dr. Who performed the surgery saved my life and because of him I am living a normal and happier life!

The only thing I don't like about the hospital is that when you go to the doctor's office, don't wait long for the doctor to see you.

If your child is scheduled for surgery?? "Open Heart Surgery" Well guess what? u can be cancelled more than 4 times!!! u can be on your way to the hospital and still be cancelled! And even worse you take your infant for pre ops 2xx's Cause they canceled your surgery??? The pain that your putting your child thru over and over again cause they cant get they're Schedules right??? That is totally uncalled for!! Also, once you actually get to the surgery setting your scheduled surgery is for 9am and here comes 4pm and NO update! No one knows what's happening? They cant tell you absolutely NOTHING!!! all they know is?? WE DONT KNOW WHY THE WAIT?? we cat give u an answer?? we don't know why?? Now that is totally uncalled for??? This Hospital is so un organized!!!! never to return here gain!!! My baby was on NPO all day! cause of this! the nurses would give him 1ounce of juice just to hold him over? Mind you? he was already on NPO the several nights prior due to these cancelations?? 4 times!!!! How much can a child take??? plus we ask for days off from work to be with him and even our bosses were like?? Really?? but us were not important. I tell you? If my child needs surgery again? It wont be here!!!

Ive had most of my interactions with the hematology department. They are simply the best. I feel very supported by their team in every aspect be it medical, mental, and social. I definitely recommend.

A long time ago my daughter was a patient here ... Thanks to God and medical care, my daughter is a Cancer survivor ... my daughter is now 22 years old ... And she was diagnosed when she was 8 months old. !

This is the best hospital I have ever stepped foot in. The communication between the staff is super professional and informative for the parents. I would like to send out a special THANK YOU to Ben in the ICU who was my son's nurse. He honestly took care of him as I would of myself. May God bless him and help him prosper because people with good hearts like him, they don't come around to often.

I cannot believe the inconsiderate incompetence of this place. My 3 year old son broke his wrist and needed a specialist and was referred to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles to see a pediatric orthopedist. After having his pediatrician send over two referrals because they lost the first one I had to wait, according to the person I talked to, for them to process the referral. I called back for three days in a row seeing if that had happened only to find out that all of the doctors in that department had gone to some seminar and couldn't review the referral. So I had to wait for them to get back from the conference. All this time my son who recently turned three is running around with a broken wrist and falling on it causing him great pain and possibly making his break worse. Finally I call this monday to get an appointment after two weeks of waiting for the receptionist to tell me that unfortunately due to the urgent nature of his case they cannot see him. What is wrong with these people? I was given the run around for two weeks called numerous times and after all this time they aren't even going to see him? This hospital is the worst place I have ever dealt with. They should be ashamed of themselves and their lack of care or even a shred of concern for an injured child.

The best place for children were they care and concentrate on from babies to teens

Awesome hospital they are professionals and know what they are doing . Thank you for finding out what my Granddaughter had and treating her to get better even after Valley childrens hospital in madera couldn't even help her. This hospital is where all the best doctors are at if your looking for the best for your child.

Terrible customer service and organization. My daughter was scheduled to get a urological exam which my wife confirmed directly with them. They stated they were going to call back to provide documentation and information. Then never did. My wife called to follow up and left a message. They called back several days later not knowing who my daughter was. After repeating herself over 8 time on who my daughter was and why she was schooled to be there she passed the phone to me and let them know that they had terrible organization skills and that I will be scheduling with another provider.

After I ended the call, they eventually figured it out and found the records. They were sly enough to call my doctor to say I called too cancel because I did not believe the treatment was necessary. I imagine they did this to save face. Not professional at all.

I work with client from all around the world and can say that proper organization practice can make or break a company and when it comes to medical service industry, lack of organization can cost lives. Try UCLA for a more professional delivery.

Best oncologist's in the world! My son has been cancer free for over 14 years! The oncology team supported me from being to the end.

Hospitals are not the place you like to go - and especially with kids. CHLA makes it manageable for kids and families. Great Docs and staff in the hospital and in the clinics.

I stayed there when I had a ruptured appendix and everyone was amazing!!! My nurses were awesome and everyone there made my stay better!!!

I have nothing to say about the doctors, everything is very good, very good service, it only cleaned a little, it was charged from the parking lot, if it is something expensive.

In that hospital evry year they do mara thons partys go camping do evry thing they do for us tons of sweet nes however you say its bad than your not looking with the right eye if you hate a hard time ronald mc donald house and many more hard working your dumb and not even fixed

I have stayed there 2 times and they treated me well. The nurses gave me special attention and most of the staff was friendly. I had a successful cervical laminectomy with decompression, and spinal fusion that greatly reduced my scoliosis. Only complaint I would have is that sometimes they make you wait a long time past your scheduled appointment until you actually go inside. Overall, good staff and medical professionals.

Good hospital for children. Really good doctors and nurses. And very caring and friendly care partners and staff. If for any reason you need to stay the night im sure you'll feel safe.They have a little church for anyone who is religious and two water falls right outside so you can go sit and get some fresh air.

My son was in and out of this hospital for a year and I can't imagine a better place for him. These people know him and took the time to understand his needs as well as mine and my concerns. They have brought my son back from the brink of death a few times and I am so grateful to these people. Of course there are a few nurses who have holier than thou attitudes but you can always request a different one if it bothers you to that extent. These people are amazing and I am so grateful to and for them!!!!!

Had my heart transplant here, I have bonded with everyone who I have counter here. From doctors, aenothisiologist, nurses, and care partners. I was there waiting for 6 months. I knew I made a impact there when a lot of nurses wrote me a letter on a journal. Also, we made a list on the triathlon we are all running together this year on September. I will always cherish this hospital I still go there, and I always love going there because it feels like home to me.

When Valet parks your car make sure you dont have ANY valuables in your car. They will for sure take it. Your better off parking the car yourself. Trust me. My sister left her wallet by accident in the car and she came back it was gone. Car locked. Windows rolled up. Who else could if it been..... parking valet manager was no help.

I went in to this hospital and right off the bat I was given attitude from staff when I was in critical pain. Not only did the nurse did some experimenting on me and popped my vein but after having me wait from 830-430 to actually get some results i still wasnt feeling better after all the tests so they ranked up my hospial bill and sent me to another hospital which was horrible and unorganized. wont ever come here or reccomend to anyone.

I liked how everyone at the children's hospital treated me kindly, the very friendly doctor McElderry MD, the very nice nurse, I liked it, I am delighted with the treatment. K gave us.

I give it a five stars because my little brother is a special needs kid and since we have been there my little brother had been a lot better. The people there are so nice.

I don't have to worry about my kids catching from actual adults.... I love all the nurses who took good care of my daughters
