I have had two grandchildren admitted here. The nurses are amazing not only do they give great care to the kids but they do their best to help out the parents. There is no other place like here

Emergency room fees that are borderline extortion!! Almost $1000 to have my daughters temperature taken and ear exam because of fever. 4 hour wait period. And absolutely no indication that those expenses would be incurred. They make you sign a document which states there will be "standard ER fees" issued. Don't you think a reasonable human being would indicate to a father that having a temperature taken will cost him nearly $1000? Its unbelievable having come from Australia and now witnessing first hand the disgusting nature of the health system in this country. Where is the common decency to tell a family what will be involved in an ER waiting room upon arrival and check in with the staff? Its appalling. Everything here is driven by money and financial gain.
The staff is super friendly. The wait time isn't long what so ever and they treat every child like it's their own. I met a very helpful and friendly nurse named David who has helped my son with all his needs while being as polite as possible. I couldn't have asked for a better hospital to treat my son in. I Highly recommend it.
My daughter's life was saved here. That alone should be a five-star mic drop, but the staff was amazing too. Thank you second floor cardiac nurses, doctors, et al. I only hope we expressed it enough while we were there. I'll bring you all more lasagna any day!
Treated my daughter and family great. Nice facility and wish there was one closer.
We have three children, one of our kids is extremely ill. We've been to many hospitals over the years, but none better than Children's in LA. It's not just the great doctors and well trained staff, it's all the resources and focus on Children that makes the difference.
Best hospital! When I was younger I was in and out of the hospital do to surgery and if it wasn t for all the great doctors and nurses I wouldn t be able to walk they changed my life for the best
Deficient in this area station 4 EMERGEMCIA I come with my daughter with asthma attack and ask how long it will take and tell me there are people waiting 6 to 8 hrs by that time the girl has already suffocated without telling that the girl tells me every time I feel bad I want to see a doctor is only 7 years old
The best hospital for children and they serve you very fast
Cardiology department works too slow, was waiting for 2 hours for checking in. Can you imagine???? I didn t expect that type of scheduling from CHLA.
Absolutely amazing! They saved my life twice! Everyone from the surgeons to the room cleaners have the absolute best hearts! I highly recommend them!
The best hospital, period. If your child is there, rest assured that they are in the best of care
Love u guys so much from the bottom of my heart and I wish I can tell the doctors and nurses and staff that was there for me and took care of me at 9yrs old I swear I wish I can see them beautiful people because they saved my life and was there for me Shaundera Brown when I was hit by a car at a yiung age.. this hospital took me in as soon as they heard about me,situation I remember going to Martin Luther King hospital and the ambulance men they were angels the doctors a t Martin Luther King hospital said I wasn't gonna to make it or walk again in life and I swear the LA ambulance i had took.me out that hospital so fast and said to me we are gonna make sure u safe, live and they took me to children's hospital that night and I'm so thankful as and happy, love u guys for life now I'm walking dancing and able to have life and tell my story and I pray I can save and help others especially the children..this is a great place especially for children..,
The doctors here are totally reliable and well-trained.
I took my son their yesterday night really is a good place to take your kids. everyone was very nice and for a parent the stress that knowing your baby sick and you don't Know how to help can be really heavy so having a place that focus on children helps
Love this Hospital when my Dougther was born she was transferred there n had a open heart surgery she been thrue 3 open heart surgerys doctorter there are great thank u to them my Dougther is alive right now wouldn't change this Hospital for nothing.
I would give this place zero stars if i could ive been calling since august to check the status for my daughters referral to see the opthamologist and no one has even given me a call back regarding this and to top it off everytime i call they dont have an answer either im curious does it really take 3-5 months to review a referral? I dont think so.
Thank you very much to all the staff very nice with my daughter with all my heart God bless you
Doctors are amazing, professional and respectful. Everyone else is completely rude and unprofessional like the nurses. The people at the Starbucks are way more polite and helpful than the nurses. If you spent less on advertising and more on saving children's lives you'd be more legitimate.
As soon as you enter the hospital you feel the positive energy of the staff, who are beautiful, God bless you.
All the love and care to get your child back to health.
Caring nurses and doctors, best in medical service for kids
The high review scores are deserved for the most part. This is a renowned hospital.
What you need to pay close attention to is your security, especially your valuables.
Make sure you hold onto everything you have because theft is big problem and goes largely unreported for any followup investigation. Victims have found themselves on their own. It appears this is a growing problem not just here but any hospital or healthcare facility.
On 10/26/18 I went to a date looking for a 2 opinion my appointment was wings 10 I got wings 9 because I live far away, but the reception said I would have to wait until 10, as soon as I arrived I knew that nothing More
It is very bad service I came with my 3 month old daughter who is very ill from cough with phlegm and a fever had my baby and they passed several people who arrived after I arrived and I already had about 2 hours in the room Wait and they never called me to attend to My daughter so the Tube to take to another hospital for their bad service they have
They take to long to pass you to a room I waited 4hrs to get into a room
Hands down to CHLA! All the employees work very hard to support all the Doctors. And a huge Thank you to all the Doctors that devote their lives to helping children.
The best regional hospital and does not have enough parking, general consultations are a nightmare because of the lack of doctors you expect is generally 4 5 6 hours just to be told it is a tylenol dele virus
We have been here 7 months and still here! We couldn't ask for a better place to be with our son. Everyone here is like family. Excellent care!
Completely satisfied with the care, doctors and nurses, staff in general very friendly, attentive and above all very professional, efficient security, total cleanliness. I approve and recommend this place.
The worst service I ever received. I wait in line for more than 40 minutes, and the representative never appear. The efficiency and qualities of service is miserable. There are no reminds that how long I need to wait; the voice keep saying that as soon as possible, but I wait for 40 minutes. Terrible!
The nurse Justin from the cardiologist team is amazing and was extremely helpful in many ways. He takes his time answering your questions. The care and compassion nurse Justin has is just as important and very much helpful as the medicine the doctor prescribes. Nursing is a difficult, challenging, and sometimes thankless profession. Great nurses like Justin deserve appreciation like no one else.
Excellent Hospital. My son arrived with appendicitis and received excellent treatment with great kindness always with a smile from the admission, cleaning, room service staff, nurses, doctors Michael Malliacote who was in charge of explaining the procedures that would be carried out and resolved my questions and concerns regarding the state of my son, especially Dr. Juan Pelayo who carried out his surgery successfully together with his team. Definitely, personally and with experience, I recommend it. God bless you all Thanks Childrens Hospital Los Angeles
Nice looking hospital. Went there today for blood donation, had an appointment. After 20 minutes of waiting, they tell me that I have to spend three years in US before I can donate blood. No further explanation. I was just trying to do something good. What a ridiculous policy. They don't even mention it when I am making an appointment, where I answer a bunch of questions.
From illiteracy become the world's leading pediatric surgeon

Doctor Nguyen Xuan Nam
Famous both in simplicity For the first time, the National Hospital of Pediatrics hosted the 4th Southeast Asian Pediatric Scientific Conference with numerous talents of ASEAN countries and the world. Of course, an indispensable person is Dr. Nguyen Xuan Nam, a close colleague named Nam Nguyen.
At Hall J of the National Pediatric Hospital, the surgery presided over by Dr. BS was broadcast live from the operating room. His manipulations like magic attract the attention of experts, many different expressions on each face: they widen their eyes, frown ... and turn to look at each other. heartless. The next day, I did not know how the male doctor enjoyed his free time, just knew when the organizers introduced him to present his new scientific researches on the pediatric endoscopy. Song Hong II Hall - Sheraton Hotel warmly applauded. Different from innocent way of talking, sometimes very improvised, when presenting scientific research he is very sharp and logical, the evidence is real, strict, easy to understand, vivid images.
Stormy childhood knows that Dr. Nguyen Xuan Nam has experienced a "violent childhood". His family used to work as a fisherman in Hon Khoi- Nha Trang- Khanh Hoa. When he was 4 years old, the mother died. Loving the lonely life of his father and son, a good woman accepted his mother. Having to grapple with the family with 8 children is really too much for their parents. So to the 6th grade, the poor family, the bright pupil Nguyen Xuan Nam had to quit school to join his father on the sea fishing to support his family. But then the simple happiness of that poor family could not last long, the illness in turn robbed his stepmother and two younger siblings. In his heart of misery at that time, he suddenly burned a dream to become a doctor to treat the poor.
Endless ambitionThe son of Hon Khoi set foot on an unfamiliar American land when he was 19 years old, South's responsibility now is to raise his family. Although difficult, Nguyen Xuan Nam is determined to apply for high school in Lincoln City. In 1983, he graduated from high school at Norris High School with excellent grades.
With his ability, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Chemistry at Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska State, and then went on to spend four years as a medical doctor at Creighton University's medical school. He went on to surpass hundreds of well-rounded out-of-band doctors to become one of 27 students across North America at the time entering the foreign studies major at Pittsburgh University, Pennsylvania. He said, there is one thing he does not have to study, not just a very sincere exam, but it is the love of the anesthesiologist, his wife. Male doctor has undergone 16 years of continuous study. In 1999, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Nam was invited by the University of California, Irvine to be the Head of Pediatric Surgery, and lectured at the famous University of Southern California as well as the Dean of the Pediatric Hospital of Los Angeles Children's Hospital.
Thank you. To all your staff x your attention that God bless you.
Great opportunity to see it and feel Whats all about when is about care and they have the efficiency to apply it thks MD tolo_ MD Thomas..Cpnp.Margaret..
I tried talking to a patient there that I know and one of the nurses said that if the patient has my number, have her call me
very well they took care of my daughter quickly and the doctors and nurses are very kind
I tried to E-mail the CEO of CHLA but evidently he is too busy to read an E-mail and has no staff to do so.
My grandson is a patient at CHLA and has a Neuroblastoma, he has several test given to him and without any concern for the patient the hospital will have NPO for 14 hours before a procedure is done. If you did not feed a child for fourteen hours you would be arrested for child endangering.... The hospital puts on a good show but they are not concerned about the safety of the child. Lots of donations for the fat cats at the hospital but The higher ups know nothing about their poor system.
We couldn t be more pleased with the care our daughter received at this hospital. The CTICU staff was wonderful. The nurses and doctors were all very kind and helpful. Devika and Nick were especially patient with us, reassuring, and answered all our questions. We drove to LA specifically for Dr Starnes, who did an amazing job with her surgery! We were in the best hands possible and couldn t have hoped for a better outcome.
Took my 1 month old baby here due to being constipated and all the nurses are nice and they took her in as quickly as I got there
I always take my daughter here and they always treat us amazing.
It s very sad how the er nurses are very rude! When you have a question, the first thing they say is I m not your nurses. I took my son today and i was their for 7 hours and they didn t find out why my baby has fever and diarrhea. This is a nice hospital, but those nurses make it look bad and even make the good doctors and nurses look bad. This is the second bad experience, the first one was even worse!!!
Childrens are the Best for my Baby Torrionn. I wouldn't take hem any wear .
There s so many kids here with high fevers and just very sick. The wait time is ridiculous. There s patients here that have been here since 9am. Right now is 6:09pm. They still have not been seen. I ve been here since 2:45pm they have only taken her temperature and pressure. They need to do better. This is unacceptable.
We went there because my son had a bad cough got helped pretty fast and medicine helped a lot
Good doctors is an excellent
and hospital
It a great helpful and awesome hospital and great staff This is my dream job to help kids with cancer
There's no other place like #CHLA at least non that our daughter has visited. The amount of attention and love they give their patients you just can't put into words.....
Never will take my child here AGAIN. Wish I could give negative stars. Took my child into hospital because she has been constipated for a few days. Turns out she had a softball size poop stuck in her. I notice a bruise on her ear and I told them my youngest daughter threw a bottle on her. Well next thing a lady comes on her PERSONAL phone and takes a picture of her ear. I asked why is she taking a picture she said to ask a friend if she had a bruise on her ear. I knew it was for CPS. It was on her personal phone though sending to a friend HEPA !!! Next they traumatized my child by having police take me away asking questions. She didnt know what happened to her ear. She even told the cops the nurse did it and multiple other people even her dad that was deployed. Keep in mind SHE JUST TURNED 4 doesnt speak to well. Next my water leak 20 weeks pregnant . Well a CPS lady talked to my kid without me there. Then told me she needed all these shots forCPS. And couldnt even get the blood drawn because she broke loose. My child hates doctors thanks to them. Then having a CPS lady who never had kids take my case trying to make me admit that it's okay if I did it just admit you hit your child. I told her if I did hurt my child I couldnt live with myself! They tried to keep me in CA to do mandatory classes. Or take me toc court. Threaten court so much. I know I didnt give her the bruise. But my husband is in military so i had to go back home and they basically said I couldnt . So I gave them all the military sorces. So they finally let me move back home( I lived in CA when husband was deployed but had to get our house) then 3rd day i get CPS lady that had kids and saw how great my child was and NOTHING was wrong and closed my case and didnt have to do any classes. They put me into labor due to stress had to get a contraction stopper. They are the WORSE hospital. .
The parking is okay and staff, doctors and nurses are awesome however they have very bad at being organized as far as send and receiving information. Also they do not both to update or go out of their way to help me! Example: I have tried multiple times to get CHLA to send my pediatrician test results and it has been 4 months. Also they keep asking for new test without even disclosing last results or bother to explain why we are doing these test. So frustrating and waste of my time, they are taking advantage I feel and making money of my situation.
It is the best place for our kids emergencies and care.
The Hospital took care of my children since the day they where born. Love this Hospital.
I was approved for a minor surgery that for some reason they did not tell me about for not 1 or 2 years but 3 years in that time it got WAY worse. This a disappointing hospital, I recommend parents to think twice when CHLA comes to mind. They hide behind those false smiles. Big hospital with great "donors" and prays on unassuming folks.
The Doctors and Staff here save lives. We raised $400,000 in 2011 at the Storytale Ball for the families in need of support to be with their loves ones in a time of devastation. Thank you So Very Much to each and everyone that worked at the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles!!!! The doctors performed miracle. I couldn't have supported a greater cause. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to give back.
Endocrinology department lost the bondage X-ray that I personally handed them. I ended up picking them up and driving 45min all over.
Excellent the best in attention and professionalism
My son is a patient here and the treatment by doctors and nurses are excellent.
I have been here and it's a great hospital. But in Altamed the receptionist are just chilling there and talking about shopping instead of paying attention. It happened that I waited 1 hour and 35 minutes my appointment was at 1:50 and they saw my daughter at 3:25 pm.
The Children's hospital is where I go with all 8 of our children, and all 14 of our grandchildren
Very bad attention 6 hours waiting and never the doctor appeared the truth the worst hospital that I have taken my baby and are times that took it and the same I have to leave I go to another hospital because long wait and nobody knows anything when one asks what time is the doctor going to check my baby
Staff is great the only thing I didnt like is no free food for the parent if baby is hospitalized and parking is expensive they should consider low income families
The doctors at CHLA are outstanding. They explain every little detail and if you don t understand something they break everything down for you. The surgical department are very helpful
I give 2 stars to this hospital because I agree it has the technology, rooms and pediatrician doctors needed. The donwside is that the nurses are not the best, some very inmature in the field. Also the doctor a saw today didnt give me many details, my private pediatrician is the best too bad she is not part of this hospital. Next time Ill rather drive to her. Honestly my perception is that they dont care much about the little patients. Ohh and the ambulance another story, cold and dry as they can be.
horrible hospital in los angeles. have no bedside manner.
I volunteer here on every other weekend, they are really doing the lord's work here.
The best hospital I have ever been to. First of all, I love the vibe of the hospital and it gives me and patients a welcoming feeling. It is so clean and the technology they use are advanced. I love the management and nurses of this facility, they were so nice to me. The cafeteria food was awesome and they have a lot of choices from pizza to sushi to tomato cream soup. I am definitely going to apply to this facility in the future.
Very good hospital until now God bless you especially doctors and nurses for your patience
The hospital staff didn't pay enough attention and care about my daughter which she was really sick.
I'm giving 2 stars first experience was when my son had surgery and the stupid mean nurse wanted us out fast. Come on now you guys need to work with children and be more patient and professional! Some doctors are nice but others are just there for the pay.
I think you can tell spittle is good because they help me cure me and now it's opening I love it it's good and it helps children like me
