Chain Mexican restaurant. Friendly and helpful wait staff. Inside and outside seating. Good quality food. Reasonable prices. My chilli rellenao was excellent. The tortilla soup was very good. Large portions. The restaurant is nicely appointed and the tables spaced well.

Very bad!! service ..Chevys is super!! expensive ..We were there for 45 minutes no one came to our table to take our order..So we left .. I will never return again
Good food, great drinks and a pretty cool view! This place has a great atmosphere and is right on the water along with limited outside seating. This is a great place for large and small groups alike!
Chevy's was good the food could have been hotter but it was cold outside because you can't go into restaurant other than that it was nice to get out and get some good food and be served at a restaurant everyone was friendly and welcoming and it was a really nice atmosphere.
One of the best Chevys in the area because they still have a long happy hour. Plus its got a view of the water so its pretty chill. Me and my GF date night here often.
Agree with the poor service. It wasn't even busy too. It's too bad because the views are stunning! You get free chips and salsa I got the soup and where is that Haas avocado? It should say on the menu that it's a garnish.
I gave this a 5 star, but because all went well. Took forever to get food, had a piece of hair in food, and was billed wrong lol. The reason I gave 5 was because this was no fault of the workers nor managers. They did the best with what they had. They're simply understaffed. Adding stress to a workforce that is amazing that is bound to make mistakes under pressure. The food is good, the view amazing and price reasonable. I recommend the casadea on salad.
Same as it's always been. Would like to see something new on the menu.. Been eating the same 3 or 4 things since I was a kid. Time to revamp that menu yall
This place used to be a good place to come. But they have cut back on their portions and cut back on their happy hour. The chips and salsa is still great however. And this place does offer great views. The parking lot is small and the spaces are abnormally close together.
I love this place! Unfortunately, it is located next door to a SEIU secret headquarters, so you will probably be seated next to some real creeps. Laney College Remedial Math Instructor Ray K Westergard distributing pass keys to riff faff and "rough trade" prostitutes in order to intimidate Watergate homeowners in the common areas. Located near the Watergate Condominium Complex, Powell street high rises and leafy parks. The view of the bay is spectacular! On summer days you can eat outside!
Order two sampler one had a paper recipe mixed in the sour cream they ran out of ginger beer so I order a watermelon margarita they ran out I was like wow what do you have the good thing was that they took off one of the samplers I was very disappointed this was my friend birthday and her first time here
The service in the restaurant has gone down hill in the past few years. It s all about the bar and the night life, it seems. Good people work here. Under staffed and sweating, but still trying to smile. Add a star b/c the views of the Bay are amazing.
Maybe eat lunch, then go there for dinner. By the time it comes, you ll be hungry again :)).
This place is amazing! I've been to Mexico many times and this is about as authentic as it gets north of the border. Chevy's is a great place to have a birthday party; be sure to let your waiter know about the event and they'll come over and sing Feliz Cumpleanos and give you a free delicious dessert.
Location specific information does not match the actual store. I requested an item for takeout as I was looking at the website and they had no idea what I was talking about. Then they tired to rush me into ordering something different.
My family of 4 were here from Oregon & had a long day in San Francisco & thought we would eat here since it was next to our hotel. I never leave reviews but this experience definitely needs one! First, one girl took us to a table in a horrible spot because the other 8 tables in the area were still dirty from previous diners. Then we had a different girl bring us menus & then we sat & waited a good 20 more minutes before another girl came to take our order. This is at 9:15 & there wasn t a big crowd of diners but you had A LOT of random workers walking around but not sure what any were really doing. Our server, Shirley, was very nice and apologized for our long wait. We ordered 2 margaritas ($12.99 each), a kids meal, a plain cheese quesadilla & my husband & I split the nachos. Shouldn t take long right? Well about 40 min goes by & during that time we continued to watch employees all over the place including the 3 obnoxious ones that were so rude to be yelling & laughing about something for 20 minutes that included one on a tall chair shaking her booty & a young man there as well just all carrying on to some loud song and acting extremely unprofessional! We are there to enjoy a nice dinner and hearing & watching that in the back was not okay. Seems like there were tables to clean up or maybe tend to diners but whatever. Upon finally receiving our meal by the cook or someone from the back we were happy to finally eat but still no margaritas! I know that it doesn t take 40 min to make those. We finally get those and they were the smallest (small mason jar size filled with ice to boot) we ve ever had & not good at all! I couldn t even taste tequila in mine but we drank most of each of them because at $13 each we didn t want to waste them. We never complained because we are not those type of demanding, hard to please diners but once we got the bill and signed it on the way out the door we wished we had. After sitting for a very long time after finishing we finally walked up to the front to tell the 2 girls who appeared to be consumed with social hour & told them we wanted to pay. One just pointed back towards our table all rude like saying that we had to have our server cash is out. Well we told them we wanted to go so they went and found our server. She again apologized & was honestly very nice but not sure why she was only seen maybe 3 times but from our observation she looked to be the only one really doing something. We paid our $80 bill (plain cheese quesadilla, kids meal & split nachos with 2 tiny, horrible margaritas) & finally left. We ve eaten at Chevy s before & we enjoyed the nachos this time but $80 for all of it was so ridiculous & the horrible atmosphere of unprofessional & lazy employees was not a good end to our long day!
The service is very slow. My tacos were cold and my chicken flautas never arrived. I ordered a blended margarita, but they brought it on the rocks and I still left a tip! Very disappointing. I should have went to Burger King.
The Farmer's Enchiladas is my favorite meal here - fresh and very tasty. I'd give it a higher rating if the service was more reliable. Sometimes it's fast and efficient and on other occasions it's the opposite.
Nice location by the water is why I chose this place however service was terrible. No friendly greeting, waiter complaining about being tired & that made me want to walk out right then cause I don't play about my service & food. We stayed & didn't get any chips and salsa and no drinks was brought back by waiter, food came before drinks (water) & both entrees were nasty with no type of flavor no sauce for my taco plate. By the time I got my green sauce my food was cold. Ordered chicken street tacos the meat was so nasty couldn't tell what kind of meat it was! My friend told waiter no Pico (twice) & yet it was on plater anyway mixed in with sour cream (what if customer was allergic) Had to ask waiter about 3 times for our water. I felt generous but not this waiter almost didn't leave nothing. Oh yeah my Patron drink was LIT THO would've ordered more drinks but didn't like service and was ready to go
Straight out of the bat, I parked perfectly as I back in, but somehow my right side of the car didn't like I parked close to her, so she went back into her car and parked somewhere else. My wife and I wait outside for sitting, that lady came up to me and said it would nice if I shouldn't parked close to her. I just told her I parked perfectly between the line and not even over her side. Her husband got pissed and told me go to shut up and go back to sit down with my wife. Of course, I got very pissed, I told him who does he think he is. Make short, the manager came out to tell me to come down even I explained the situation. Yes, me only and not to others two! I will let you guys do the thinking. I decided to stay and eat because my wife never been here. At least the food was good. The manager needs to do better job to handle the situation.
I definitely not going back to this location.! Servers are rude, no one want to serve outside on the balcony . Finely some girl came up going to serve us. Well we ordered some mix combo and waiting for our food and it was brought totally smaller and different dish than I originally saw inside, I asked the girl why it s on different plate , she Answered me back food size is the same which I am not care, it s all about plate I originally saw inside it was totally different that was it. And she said they were out of plate and offered take it back put my food on the other plate which I said no, God who knows what s going to happen.
it's alright, nothing amazing. Pretty standard "chain" type of experience. The food tasted a bit like it had been frozen, or prepared earlier in the day. Service felt a bit rushed.
They actually discriminate against white people. We're we're the only people to greet the hostess and she said it would be a few minutes for a table. She was black. We watched two other parties of black people who came in after us be seated after putting in there names.
I've been to this same restaurant in Foster City many times in the '90s. So when I saw that there was one near I was working in Oakland, I was excited. That, unfortunately was short-lived in just 10 minutes after arrival. It took almost 20 minutes to get our drink order in, another 15 minutes to get them, another 10 to get our order in and another 45 to get our food. Which mine had sat under a heat lamp for quite some time and did return it. Our empty drinks sat that way for 15 minutes. After I ordered a dessert, I again waited 20 minutes! The only thing that saved my overall negative experience was the manager. He took care of me and explained that they were experiencing some staffing issues and he was working hard to get them resolved. I truly hope they get everything taken care of so they again can be that restaurant people get excited for!
Scenery is beautiful, but the food is disgusting. I've literally only given them three stars because of the beautiful view. It was definitely strategically placed.
Arrived at 7pm for a snack. Full waiting list for meal tables and bar (min 30min) However when i stepped into bar area there was a full section of tables not being used.
Drove from Sacramento to Chevy's in Emerville to have lunch with family from Moss Beach. Food was tasty but food temperature for all three dinners was room temperature to cold; my pork tamale was dry. We did not discuss this issue with staff.
Based on the meaning of comfort food it depends on what your appetite is up for,but overall it is always nice to be out and socialize and be amongst friend's and family, even if you are needing to be alone they have the view of the waterfront with outside seating and fireplaces you can sit nearby!
Everything about this dining experience was disappointing. From the hostess to the server to the cold late food. I was so angry to have spent my hard earned money at this establishment.
Terrible. I have to say that the service was awesome. The people that work there are wonderful. The food is terrible and cheap and disgusting. We didn't eat it. But we did leave our waiter a good tip :)
I really like this restaurant; right by the water and great fajitas and salsa. Whenever I'm in the area I stop by for lunch. Prices are average and restaurant is clean; I would recommend.
We were there for the 4th, and after 2 hours still no idea of getting table. They did not plan properly and did not have enough staff because restaurant had plenty of empty tables.
