Nice view of the water, decent service .. they got rid of the border wings which were my favorite :(

The service here was terrible. It took a long time to take our order and to serve us. It was my Birthday and I had been looking forward to eating here because it had been many years since I ate here because I moved away and there wasn't a Chevy's restaurant where I lived. Chevy's was one of my favorites before and I was excited that my daughter was taking me for my birthday. My daughter told the server it was my birthday and thought they were going to go through the whole birthday thing they usually do there, but it never happened. Actually, they brought our food to the table and there was a problem with my daughter and her friend's food. Mine was okay. She waited some time for the server to come back to let them know. After 30 minutes of not seeing the server she went to the front of the restaurant to let them know the problem. After another 30 minutes they finally brought their meals to them. By that time I was just about finished with my meal. We continued to sit there for another 45 minutes to an hour and we hadn't seen our server for the check. I feel we were totally ignored our whole time here. My daughter finally said she would go ask for the check and pay it from the front desk. Finally, as we were preparing to pay and leave when we saw our server by the front desk. It had been a total of 2 1/2 hours without the server not really caring to ask anything about our meal or any acknowledgement of our dining there. I saw the manager just before leaving and asked if they discontinued the birthday song and things and he told me that they still do it. I left from there feeling like I could have just went to any other mediocre eating establishment. The view was great but that service just offset the whole mood of my special day.

Understaffed. Although the 2 servers on duty during happy hour were friendly.

I felt bad for the. Because the customers were working them and not being kind. It was not tbe fault of the server. Management has an opportunity to hire people here.

I wouldn't be surprised if this location were to close like most of the others. Up and down California, I've seen Chevy's disappear.

Grea location on the water. But poor service since you are forced to wait over an hour to get your food. Waited at minimum 20 min to get water and chips.

The food was great...I had fish tacos and strawberry lemonade . The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and the view is wonderful.

Service is hit or miss but food is always on point!

So I am rating this a 3 because though it was a Busy Saturday evening this Chevy's was incredibly slow and seemed very disorganized. Once we were seated and not ready to order immediately after being seated it took a very long time to get the server back to take our order. Then it took a really long time to get our food. We had probably invested at least an hour's time in this from when we were first seated When the food came it was delivered by someone other than our server and our server never came back. We were told by management that she went on break but she just deserted us and never told us. The food came out correctly but not very hot. We had to search for someone to give us our bill so we could leave. That's when the Manager told us that the server went on break. Over- all very poor service. Even had to get up and ask someone to refill my water. Chevy's is usually way better (in Fairfield, CA but this was in Emeryville, CA ) I would think being in a very urban area this Chevy's would have done way better on service during a busier time of day. So only 2 stars when I'd normally give 4. We tipped out of Courtesy but not due to any kind of good service.

I came on 8/8/20 the view is amazing, simply too die for. We sat on the deck , it was a little chilling even though the heat lamps are on however a sweatshirt fixed that . My husband and I had the daddy margaritas, and too be honest there very good and a little fancy. Our waitress was Amazing I think her name was Natasha, she was absolutely on point. I love when I go out with my family and not have too want for anything! And she showed me that and more. The food was hot fresh and the service was Amazing!!! I will definitely be back and asking for Natasha! Great job keep it up.

Tex-Mex restaurant. Nice food with a twist. Great for drinks. This location is right on the water.

We came in near closing time and were greeted warmly. Spot on 30 minute wait. Angel s service is unmatched. We left very full and very happy.

Service is good. Food isn't cooked well. Chicken was dry and burnt. So was my carnitas. Beer and beans are the only things worth getting

I gave this only 2-stars....but for a good, legitimate and fair reason! There were five of us who went here for dinner. (3 adults & 2 children; about 6:50pm when we arrived on a weekday). First off, from the time the server took our order until the food arrived it was.....40 minutes!!! I timed it; because having been a server, I was curious how good the service would be. Secondly.....not ONCE duri g our whole meal did the server come over and ask us how is everything nor offer to refill our drinks! Really?! The food was average.

After dinner one of the adults walked over to a woman and asked if she was a manager; and if so...we would like to speak with her for a minute. She said she was a manager but was too busy to talk. So I found another woman and asked if she was a manager; she said yes. "Who is the general manager or main manager over this restaurant?", I asked. She told me there isn't one. She said there are just managers that equally share the managing of the place.
I explained how bad our service was and told her they really should do something for us to compensate for this as well as they really need to improve the service here. They comped us the kids meals but never came over to talk with us and apologize!

Really.....seriously?!!! Who in the world owns Chevys and/or this particular Chevys?!! Come on....I mean this is NOT the only restaurant in this area. Don't the owners know that first impressions are lasting ones?! I will NEVER come here again!

I've gone here off and on for a few yrs now and the food is always consistently good. Great atmosphere too.

I would highly recommend this particular location. Parking was a little short but that's what I expect Friday night dinner rush. I parked across the street faster in garage than looking for a spot in Chevy's lot, and $3 night time rate very reasonable. Wait staff was friendly and really seemed like they cared about customer service. Everyone on staff seemed like fast service was a priority. Our particular server was apologetic if he felt that our service wasn't speedy enough, even though it was top notch quality and speedy service. He was so great I left a very large tip for a not so big dinner bill. I usually tip the standard unless it is well deserved. Will definitely be my first choice when going to Chevy's.

Chevy's in Emeryville was terrible. Food was poor quality and ill prepared. I had steak fajitas. My friends salad, with chicken was bad as well. The service was sub par too. No keeping up on drinks and no follow up on food satisfaction. Won't be going back.

Chevy's is hit-or-miss depends on the service and the person cooking and all of that. But it's a good go-to place for a quick meal however they do have their peak hours and things are pretty slow at that time but it's just only because of the crowd.

Food is good, and it's always fun watching the tortillas being made

The service is pretty mediocre and the food is nothing extraordinary. It s actually kind of expensive for the food quality.

There is a Chevy's about 4 miles from my house in Richmond, but we always take the extra drive to Emeryville to this Chevy. The one in Richmond is horrible and there's always cars getting broken into in their parking lot. This Emeryville location is great and has some nice views of the bay. Their parking lot kinda sucks, but we do always find parking. The parking spaces are very narrow so it's a challenge to park.

Sat in the bar area unacknowledged for 10 minutes while other customers had orders taken and was walked past multiple times. Disappointed, so left without ordering drink or food.

I loved my shrimp enchiladas with pesto sauce, refried beans were so good, excellent food, nice place to eat, very friendly, will recommend it

A great place for a weekend meal! Super quick service and a great view! Angel E made an AMAZING red sangria and our meal was TOP NOTCH! We will definitely be back soon!

Went on a Sunday at 1130. There was a 2 minute wait. Didn't seem crowded but food took a long time. Tostada Salad was good. Partner had the Crab and shrimp omelette and it had one shrimp in it literally. But they said it tasted ok just needed more of what it's described as on menu. I also had the bottomless mimosas. They were 12 bucks. Not sure what kind of orange juice they use but it was bitter......cheap I guess or a weird batch of fresh squeezed oranges. But still I consumed four. Because they fill the glass halfway, so four was two lol...don't judge me. Queso dip wasnt good to me. As far as the service it took waitress a while to relax. She seemed tense but hey who knows what people have going on. She smiled eventually. I have never been a fan of Chevy's food but wanted bottomless mimosas with no wait.

Fresh tortillas when asked, nice ambiance, and decent prices.

Only went to the Cantina. They ran out of a draft beer and instead of changing the keg, asked if I wanted something else. Got my friend a Margarita and paid cash. Had to ask twice for the change. The bartender was handling cash and drinks/garnishes without rinsing/washing hands. Kinda gross.
2 stars because the chips and salsa are great. Also, good views if you're lucky to be sitting at a window.

Service is absolutely miserable!!! First off no tortilla chips?!?! Really, it's what a Tex-Mexican restaurant does! Chips and salsa. People kinda expect that from you.. Secondly, don't let me order the 22.00 fajitas and then run out of shells before I get my food without telling me.. Good thing the beer was cold, or else I would have given you 1 star.. F'real people???? How can you suck that bad and be right next to the corporate headquarters?

Our server wasn't good. As seen in my photo, she never offered any drink refills nor did she ever clear a single plate the entire time we were there. The other servers seemed great and fully participated in the Birthday singing. The reason the rating is still 3 stars is because the food is good and the location is great.
UPDATE: Management responded to my review, as you can see. Much appreciated. However, I was asked to DM them, something I apparently can't figure out. Chevy's Management, please email me if you want to follow-up.

We were there with a big party so we expected things to take a while, but WOW. Food took a long time, many orders were wrong, and some forgotten about altogether. The hot wings were good, but that was the best thing about my experience.

Always a good place to go and grab some drinks and a few appetizers. If you want a bigger meal I'd recommend the steak fajitas!!

This restaurant has a nice view, and the service is good, but the food is gross, it looks good in pictures on the menu but food has no tastes, quality is bad now it is unrecognizable compare to when they started, I think the only thing can save them is a miracle or I will call chef Gordon Ramsey to help them out,

This is one of the last standing locations that I'm aware of, the service was good and their chip & salsa so yum!

So far it seems fine to me since they serve in an area located outside in front of the restaurant with a view of the sea.

So many reasons to not like this place but the view is not one of them. The service was awful. The food literally made me sick for 2 days. Oh and my order was wrong. It is also dirty.

The service was horrible!! The server actually turned her back and walked away from me when I was telling her I had an issue with the check. They never bring you what you ask and the food was cold.

Tasty, chain "Mexican food". Not authentic, but hey, if you want authentic, go to the Mission. We sat in the bar area and it was a bit loud.

Sorry but I don't like to be taken for a fool. Those guys debited twice my credit card (Telling me the first transaction was cancelled) and I have got no response to my requests to solve this. Waiting time was long, they struggled with their payment system for 15 mins (And refused to give me the cancelled note saying it was deleted) and the bar was overwhelmed by customers waiting for their drinks. I will probably update my comment if I hear from them, else beware of being robbed ! Too bad because food was decent.

I've come to Chevy's Emeryville since the beginning. Service and cuisine have always been great. There are three areas. The dining area, the bar and the outside patio. All three have a wonderful view of the bay. A real gem! Plenty of free parking. Just off the freeway, easy to get on and off going north or south. Surrounded by Palm Trees.

The food was good, but the service was terrible. We were visiting from Texas and we are accustomed to 5 star customer service. The service here was subpar at best. We will not be returning.

I was a guest here for a company party & the service & drinks were awesome. This location is right in front of the water so it's a nice view. Parking is free in the lot but charges across the street which is more spacious. The parking lot for chevys is ridiculously small I have a small miata & it still would not fit without someone hitting my car with their door. So heads up.
