Not a good day to go. Ordered for curbside pickup but when I called, no one picked up the phone. Really disorganized during quarantine. One line for Door Dash, online orders, phone orders, and in person orders so it was slow even if you paid in advanced. Also a very disorganized line and people not really social distancing. Food and margaritas were ok. Expect a wait for Cinco de mayo.

Yes. Here. Go nowhere else. This Chevy's is the truth! John, Hector, David, I see you guys! You all are the best of the best! You guys keep the party going! I came in today, and left a whole lot happier! I love the classy pink ensembles the staff was wearing as well. Great drinks, delicious fresh food, great friendly mile extra service, YES, I will be back!

I am slightly disappointed.. I have been waiting more than 40 mins to have my order taken. Not even a glass of water has been offered...im dying of thrist and I'm beyond hungry. It's not even busy, NOW finally a waitress comes to help us and she let us know a waiter had to leave asap. It shouldn't take this long to notify...i can't read their minds!

Relaxing environment, every time we have been here the service is good. I haven't had a chance to sit outside yet on a nice day, that will be next! Good food, good drinks, simple but nice place to go for lunch or dinner, also to watch sports, enjoy!

I normally love Chevys .... but not my most recent trip to this Emeryville location. I m a pretty patient person .... but it s a bit ridiculous to wait in a restaurant for over an hour for your meal. The front of the house see,ed great ,... and the restaurant didn t appear to be busy ... especially given the holiday shopping sprees and all the traffic we fought to get the one mile from my friends home to the restaurant.... I m really disappointed Chevys... Surely you should have known it would have been a busy weekend as it was the last shopping weekend before Christmas. I hate to rate you so low based on one experience ... but it really was bad.

Understaffed. You can see the staff working hard and covering many tables. The kitchen must be understaffed too, because the food took way too long to come out. We waited about 30 minutes after placing our order before or food came out. The server or hostess forgot to leave us with silverware. We got our food we had no way to eat it and had to let out food sit before we got the attention of someone to tell them and then wait for them to bring out silverware over. The kitchen (or server messed up our order), but the rice and beans were forgotten from our meals. Again we had to mention it in order for it to get corrected.

FYI...the after dinner mint by the door is actually a lime candy. I think it took someone else by surprise because on the way to my car, I saw that one had been spat out in the parking lot.

Speaking of parking lot, the spaces are really narrow here. You can't really blame some people for taking up two parking spaces, though you will have a hard time finding a space on a busy night. You end up getting angry and having a bad experience even before entering the restaurant.

I was hungry prior to pulling into the parking lot. I had to stalk people to their car as they exited the restaurant. I didn't know that would be the beginning of many bad experiences.

I didn't give a one start reviewing because I did end up finishing my food. It went as good as it was back in the 90s or early 2000s, buy they do have a great view at the location.

I enjoy Chevy's salsa with chips and tostada salad that I always request to be made with black beans, chicken and shrimp. Ever since the first time I've tried that dish, 17 years ago, it is what I always order whenever I go to Chevy's.

I chose chevys to celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary. My husband and I were so excited to spend time together for our anniversary. We were so disappointed. Our server took 45 min to bring our bar drinks. My husband ordered a blended mango margarita, by the time he got it, it had melted, so we had to wait another 20 minutes to have it re-made. The 2nd time it was blended but did not taste anything like mango. Bye the time our food came out my husband was nauseous and couldn't eat. He got sick and went outside . Our server never checked on us once. I had to ask for boxes and my check, it took another 15 minutes. I just wish once when I go out to get great service, the kind of service I would give to my guests. It was our 25 th anniversary, I just wanted to have a good time with my husband, it was a special day . I guess it was to much to ask.

This is our fourth time eating here so this review is not based on one visit. Every. Single.Time. we've been here, we waited at least 15 minutes without getting acknowledged. Every. Single. Time. we had go seek service from the hostess stand or the bar. Each time, they said oh sorry, our servers are so busy. I waited tables in college, I get it! But get more staff or have people wait in front until the servers are ready. It would be bearable if the food was awesome, but even then, it's mediocre at best. The only thing they have going is the location on the bay, which is why they get 2 stars...

Meh. Next. We walked to Chevy's on this lovely day 9/8/19, around 3:10 pm. We headed to an empty table (no waitlist, tons of open tables.) We waited for abt 10 minutes, when the waitress said that seating was by wait-list only, and if we wanted immediate seating, we had to go to the bar area. Really? With most of the house seating open? We waited in the bar area for another 10 minutes - still no service. Then, we went back to the front to seek being seated by the host. No host. We waited for another 5 minutes - nothing. No ackowledgement. So, we left. Walked home to grab the car, and drove up to Honor Bar where we were seated right away and were served amazing food and drinks. My advice? Skip Chevys. Go to Honor Bar.

One of my favorite places for Mexican food. Service is always nice even when they have a full house. The staff was very welcoming and observant. The place has an awesome atmosphere. Food is like a restaurant in Jacksonville I liked.

We had a group of 9 and were told that it would be a 40 minute wait. We waited for an hour as we watched group after group be sat. After that we checked with the manager to see how much longer and he told us 40 more minutes . He did not try to do anything like split our party to try to accommodate us in any way. Not even an apology. Just another 40 minutes. Very Disappointing

Again, Chevys is a complete let down (see photo, something is missing?!?)

After waiting over an hour for a slow pick up order (the initial ready time said 22 minutes) including waiting for my $21 Mesquite Grill carne asada and enchilada combo with my usual simple substitute instructions for all rice, no beans, the order came with neither the beans (good!) or any rice (bad) and was missing the the side of corn polenta. We also paid for guacamole to go with our chips and salsa and you guessed it, this was missing as well!

CHEVYS - I get the pandemic messes up the usual flow of things with takeout order only but please GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! Manager, train your employees to check the order receipts and that every item on it matches up with what s inside the bag before a customer picks it up. This is restaurant takeout 101!

(Edit, leaving a second star on this review because the carne asada meat was cooked and seasoned perfectly!)

Cool location as you are right beside the water (Emeryville, CA). Service was good, food was pretty good (found it a little salty), there is a parking lot in front of the building. Churro donut holes were very good.

Our food was really good. The smell when we walked in was really bad. Our server was super nice and if they would update the seating and clean up the smell, it would be a top notch restaurant.

Friday night 8/21/20 about 9:00. It is amazing to me that Chevy's will allow a greeter to be short with customers and not even have her mask in place. While all the staff was masked and running around on this busy night, she sat there with her mask pulled down and talked with customers. What a great representation of being proactive for your valued customers. In addition she was very tease and even rude to customers waiting for over an hour to be seated.

Once we were seated in their makeshift patio dining area (the parking lot) the service was great and so was the food. After encountering the greeter, I was tempted to leave, but I am glad we stayed for a great meal served by wonderful staff. All 3 stars go to them. The 2 missing are for her. Maybe a stint as a dishwasher will improve her customer skills?

This Chevy's is just like any other Chevy's - food tastes the same no matter where you go, but the one thing that makes this place outstanding is the service staff in the bar. Mishan is an amazing woman who used to be the go-to-girl back in the day when I frequented once a week. Those glory days are over now but I've had so many memories laughing it up with the girls at the bar. Go with a good group of people and buy some pitchers of margaritas. You'll make memories. Trust me.

Very bad service. Our server was hanging out chatting with another customer and a coworker most of the time we were there, so he wasn't that busy... We we're essentially ignored then when we did get his attention and ask for something he said oh no problem and would get distracted and never bring it. We had to go track him down several times just to get our drinks and chips actually delivered. View was fantastic but I definitely wouldn't come here again.
