I recently bought a 2010 Chevy Impala from this dealership. I did run across a few problems with the car after a week of having it but when I bought it to their attention, they did do right by me and resolved all issues with the car at their expense. They were very friendly and helpful. I didn't feel like they were trying to get over on or pull a fast one on me like some in the past due to the fact that I am a woman. I would definitely buy from them again and recommend them to family and friends.

This dealership was quick and easy to deal with! Carey was responsive, offered a reasonable price for my car given special circumstances and time constraints, and came right to my workplace to pick it up; from meeting up to having a check in hand took all of 15 minutes. If you're anywhere in or near the DC metro area and are looking to sell your car without much of a fuss, give these guys a shout.

These guys are no B.S. I guess they'd haggle if you wanted to, but there's no point. They're totally upfront about what the costs are, the condition of the car, and what they're willing to negotiate down to. But they're not rude. Friendly, open, polite, and I didn't get the sense that anyone was trying to 'take me for a ride' (pun kind of intended). They're selling used cars, they're not used car salesmen.
Test drove four cars in one day; bought two. They didn't come out with us. They didn't follow us onto the lot. They gave us space and time to look at things. They answered questions. I mentioned the brakes were kind of squishy (it was an older car) and they dug through their files until they found out the last time the brake pads had been changed. If they'd been older pads, they were going to replace them for free.
A good, relaxed atmosphere with a no pressure selling style.

Happy with purchase in general..I did walk in with cash in hand.. Purchased a 1999 Jeep Wrangler. It was listed on Carfax as having one accident. With damage to the rear. When I questioned them about. I was told it was a minor issue and nothing major was noted. However when i was finally able to get a good look under it major welding was noticed on the frame. This may have been a result of the accident or it may have been to strengthen the rear end. However the jeep runs great only had a 115 thousand on it..was virtually rust free. The actual buying process was quick. The sales people were freindly. As with everything when buying used make sure you know what you want and it is used.

Cherner Brothers made the decision to go pre-owned easy. Their small team made me feel like I had thier full attention throughout the entire buying process. The vehicle I wanted was professionally inspected and free from mechanical defects and was offered at a great competitive price. With the money I saved getting a pre-owned car, their comprehensive warranty offer was a no-brainer. With it I feel protected and secure with my SUV as if it were brand new. My daughter purchased her first vehicle here. Our experience with Carey was very positive. No pressure. He let us take the vehicle to our mechanic for inspection (nothing of significance was found wrong - it just needed an air filter). We live an hour away; the entire transaction was handled without our having to go there more than one time. One week in it's so far so good as far as the performance of the vehicle...

I can't give this company any less than 5 stars. I am a transplant to Maryland from out of state and needed help finding a good, used car. I came across their website and found my Subaru Impreza; this was my first time buying a car (and owning a car in general!) and they were so responsive and helpful. David Hernandez did a great job of reaching out and scheduling appointments, as well as making me feel like family when my own is 8+ hours away and couldn't help me in the process.

Not only that, their finance and insurance manager, Mary Carmen Garcia, was incredibly friendly and helpful from day one. She got me a great financing plan on my car that was better than what I could have gotten anywhere else. Not only that, but because I am young and didn't have much credit history, she gave me advice on building it up and how to finance properly. She did not need to do that but could tell this was overwhelming for me and she went above and beyond.

In addition to all of the above, they were very flexible with my payments and I was even able to pay my down payment online to avoid any added fees on my card.

Upon telling my parents about them, they were also very impressed by the help I received and were comforted knowing that I was being taken care of and not being taken advantage of.

Everyone at Cherner went above and beyond to help me find my first car and they really helped me feel even more at home here in Maryland. I am so glad I found them and I am excited to work with them in the future.

I cannot recommend them enough. If you are looking for a quality used car and want to find a place that isn't going to beat around the bush or spring any surprises on you, this is the place to go. My 2013 Impreza is already serving me very well and I can't wait to take it on my drives back home.

This is a family-run business of - get ready for it - 'honest used-car salesmen!' I dealt with Carey and a month out from moving out of the US, I drove up to Kennsington and Carey gave me a fair estimate for our van. He even made out a little contract for me with the price. As the time got close for our move, he said just bring it by the night before we flew out. They even arranged for someone to bring my kids and our massive luggage to our hotel at their expense. If everything went as smoothly as selling my car to Cherner Bros., the world would be a much easier place to live!

John was absolutely wonderful to work with. There was no pressure involved and did everything he could to make me happy.

Small family businesses that take care of their customers are hard to find these days. I live in Nevada and has a truck shipped to me. They took care of all of the paperwork, set up the shipping and got it to me at a very fair price. The truck looks amazing and I am so happy I took a chance on these guys.

Had a great experience buying a used car here, from start to finish. I was unsure about the car at first (wasn't sure if I was ready to buy yet) and they let me take the car home overnight to think about it- how nice is that? I have never heard of a dealership allowing that. I worked with two different guys at Cherner Brothers, both of whom were so helpful and responsive. Love my "new" car, it's in great condition, and I will totally come back to Cherner Brothers when I'm ready for my next car purchase. Highly recommend!

Cherner Brothers was very responsive via email from the start and willingly provided the Carfax report for the car we were looking at. Upon arriving, we did not feel the pressure one usually feels from used car salespeople. It was clear that they only wanted to sell us what we wanted to buy. The car we came to look at was exactly as described. The only thing in need of fixing was the AC, which they had fixed and delivered the car to us within two days at no additional charge. We would gladly buy a used car from them again.

Very small selection of cars, the one I wanted had an issue not mentioned on their website. They said they could fix for $950 and could sell the car that way so it could pass inspection; problem was I looked it up and it's a $135 part! Labor would not be that much so didn't want to haggle over it.

Worked with Ray on buying my new family a small Volvo wagon. Ray made it easy to go with Cherner Brothers. The car buying process is not something my wife and I enjoy and we resisted buying a car for awhile b/c we just didn't want to go through all the hassle but Ray subverted all the negative stereotypes of the car buying process. He's just a nice, honest, good guy trying to help out people like my family buy the car they need at a fair price. If we decide to get a 2nd car, Ray will be our first call!

Two year ago, I bought a 2009 Honda Accord from Cherner Brothers Auto Brokers. Since purchasing the vehicle, I have discovered that the dealer did not disclose that the car had been in a major accident with $7,500 in front-end damage. I have also had to replace the engine. During the process of replacing the engine, my mechanic noticed that the engine had already been replaced because the VIN number on engine did not match the VIN number on the car. At the time of purchase, the dealer also did not disclose this information. The dealer s lack of candor makes me question the true mileage of the car. When I purchased the car, the odometer reading was approximately 56,000 miles but this number does not reflect the mileage of the replaced engine. This was my first car purchased with financing and it has been a terrible experience. In addition to paying on a car loan, I have had to spend over $7,000 in major repair work.

If you have experience a similar issue with Cherner Brothers Auto Brokers, please join me on Labor Day weekend in protest of the dealer s lack of candor. Bring a sign in protest of your issue. My sign will say I BOUGHT A LEMON FROM CHERNER BROTHERS .

I'm writing this in response to the review written by Harrison Sherman, my son, concerning our experience with Cherner Brothers. First, they were generous in continuing to try to fix the starting problem even after the warranty had expired. As my son said their efforts did not fix the starting problems. The starting problems were fixed after I took it to my mechanic, that I have gone to for years. He performed a complete tune-up. Replaced the spark plugs, they had no tips on them, and spark plug wires. He replaced the air filter, which was filthy, the PCV valve, the plenum gasket, and cleaned the fuel injectors. Now the car starts and runs like it should. The Cherner Brothers and I discussed matters and in the end they offered to payfor the tune-up. So they did go the extra mile to take care of the problems with the car and I thank both of them very much.

I recently purchased a Toyota Tundra from Cherners brothers and couldnt be happier. I was shopping around for quite some time trying to decide whether to buy new or used. Once I stepped foot inside Cherner Brothers my decision was easy. The vehicle they sold me was in immaculate condition and the sales staff was genuinely happy to help, unlike those big car dealerships and carmax where they want your business but dont want to spend any time trying to earn it. I came here with a few hundred dollars and the will to get in a vehicle bye fall/winter 2019. Over the course of the past few months I would pay a few hundred dollars here and there towards the down payment. BEST SERVICE EVER! I bought high mileage old car off them and it was a pretty good deal. Unfortunately a couple things went wrong with it a couple weeks after (because it's old and high mileage) however I called them up and they took care of it with zero hassle. Would definitely buy from them again.
