I had an amazing experience at Academy Ford. I was met on the lot by a very knowledgable member of the sales team, Ashley, who genuinely listened when I explained what I was looking for. She was generous with her time and, after a test drive, delivered me to the finance manager, Erick. Erick was able to answer vehicle performance questions that left me reassured that I had chosen the right vehicle for my needs. He even spent time working with me to try and target my price-point and various finance options. Unfortunately, we ended our negotiation on disparate figures. Although I inevitably walked away without purchasing a vehicle that day, I had the BEST experience working with the sales team at Academy Ford. If you go looking for a quality Ford product, I would highly recommend speaking with Ashley and Erick!

I found this dealership on Auto Trader and this dealership has great customer service! While my dad and me were outside Alex had came up to us and introduced himself, He then put the 3 cars I was looking at all together and let me look at each one of them side by side to help me make a decision. He consistently made me and my dad feel like a close friend. Offering refreshments, addressing concerns, Printing and going over any questions on carfax , and even turning on A/C before we got in the car for a test drive etc. All of this including the manager and financing just made Academy Ford feel so comforting. I am glad to say that I had bought a car at a dealership who really cares. Best customer service I have ever received! I will gladly be coming here again for great customer service, affordable prices, and great care to their cars! Over 5 stars!!

I bought a 2014 ford fusion from there last year. with in a weeks time my low tire pressure sensor came on. I took it back to them for repair but the repair only lasted for two months. it has only been the front passenger tire that has been giving me the problem. in a recent visit for an oil change I was told the sensor could be going off because of the weather changing or due to my driving. when I took I took it in for the recent oil change I had only put 5000 miles on the car so I doubt if my driving was a factor. With the one tire being the issue you would think that they would notice that there was something wrong with the tire but no the tried to quote me over $900 for four new tire. needless to say the whole situation disappointing. I thought with Ford being behind this location I would receive better service or help. Maybe I should have went to a different location. As far as the nail in the tire no one told me about that they told me nothing was wrong with the tire and I went 2 times

Their initial web price was pretty good, but I was able to purchase my vehicle at a price I felt it was EXTREMELY competitive. Took my Escape in for 3 warning codes all having to do with the BLIS system left side. Scheduled the service for Friday on Monday online using their website. That is 5 days to have my appointment entered into their scheduling system. I come in at the appointed time, I am not in their system. I show them the email confirmation showing them why I made the schedule. They put me in for an oil change and a recall which I asked if I could include in the service. Waited 3 hours they changed my oil and did not look at the systrm warnings I brought it in for. I was told that they could not "recreate the problem". I started my Escape to the warnings came on. I was told that the tech only saw the oil change oworkforce. order. So this tells me that if a warning shows up while they are working on the car they ignore it because "hey it isn't on the sheet, not my problem". I was hesitant about bring my care here in the first place and it appears my hesitation was justified. Looks like I will spent another 2 hours minimum here after showing it to the service rep.

The finance manager Brent Cleveland helped me select the right maintenance and extended warranties based on my driving habits. Great Experience!

Dentists, car mechanics and car salesmen..they are...

Dentists, car mechanics and car salesmen..they are the same breed. You wish you could get rid of them from your lives, but it ain't easy.

Academy Ford advertised a car online and we spoke with the manager and agreed on the price. When I drive for 1 hour to get to the dealership, they said that the price was a mistake and quoted something that was $3000 more from the price discussed.

I understand mistakes happen, but the least the sales team could have done was sincerely apologize that they made a mistake. Instead they were arrogant and rude. Brian their sales manager was condescending and rude. I had a similar bad experience when I tried to speak with Brians boss. Brian said if I walk out of the dealership without buying the car, they will rectify the mistake and update the online price to reflect $27,200 or something similar, but the car is still listed at the same old price of 24,997. I think its a ploy to lure customers in and lie their way into selling the car.

Their slogan is Honesty and Integrity, sadly thats not the case. Overall very disappointing service and customer care. That's the reason why businesses like carvana are doing well. These dealerships are dishonest, untrustworthy and a hassle.

Rich and Brent were fantastic. Rich was my Sales Manager and was extremely knowledgeable and really cared about my experience. He delivered exactly what I wanted. Brent was the Financing Manager was was very detailed in his work. Both made me feel very comfortable with the total experience. Also, from arrival to driving off the lot in my my new F 150 was less than an hour and a half.

Now that s service! Truth in their advertising, Honesty & Integrity!

Worst experience buying a car ever. We bought a us...

Worst experience buying a car ever. We bought a used car from them that didn't even make it on a 40 minute drive home--the engine sounded like a helicopter was under the hood and the bottom of the car was shaking. That was after waiting over 2.5 hours for them to process the paperwork for it--we should have left then, but the car was exactly what we were looking for. Needless to say, we took the car back the next day. Against our better judgment we thought we'd try our luck at buying a new car from them since we really just wanted to get a car and be done with the process. We agreed on a price for a new car and were told that it would arrive in 1-3 days. By day 3, after never receiving a follow-up call from them, we called them to see when we could pick it up. I was told the car would be in that night. 40 minutes later, I received a call from them saying that they could still get me a car, but we would need to pay $1800 more than our agreed upon price. Needless to say, we did not buy the car from them. It was seriously the worst, most unprofessional experience I've ever had. I never understood why people complain about the car buying experience until this happened. I couldn't have been more frustrated.

I just purchased a used 2011 F-250 diesel from Academy Ford, and I have to say it was the best car buying experience I have ever had. My first time stopping into the dealer, I was greeted by Alex Jackson and Russ Hawthorne from their sales team. I told Russ and Alex what I was looking for, and they said they didn't have a truck like that in stock, but they told me to give them a few days and they would find me one. The next day I received an email from Russ with a link to a 2012 F-250. The following morning he sent me another F-250 that was nicer than the first one, and said he would get it to their location in a few days. Alex and Russ both followed up with me in the following days to let me know the status of the truck. Once the truck hit their lot they called me right away so I could come take it for a ride. Sure enough, it was everything they told me it would be. I took it for a test drive and I was sold. Russ and Alex were both very upfront and honest with me about the truck and what the price would be. I ended up buying the truck after the test drive. I met Brent from their financing department after the test drive and he made sure the financing part of the deal went smooth. All in all, an absolutely great buying experience with Academy Ford and their entire team! Honest, respectful, and very easy to deal with the entire time. Needless to say, I will be referring all my friends and family to Academy, because of the great work and customer service they provided from start to finish with my truck deal. Thank you, Russ, Alex, and Brent! Awesome job!

Eric Lopez at Academy Ford provided excellent customer service. I was given a Veteran's Preference Rebate Voucher of $1000 (Presidents Day Ford Promotion. I don't think this rebate is valid at all times). They didn't have the color I wanted and were able to find the right car at another dealership and have it delivered to Laurel on the same day. I was provided with a temporary car so I could leave and come back when the vehicle was ready for pick up.

I have only allowed Academy Ford to maintain my 20...

I have only allowed Academy Ford to maintain my 2015 Explorer. I do this because their mechanics were trained on my specific vehicle, their quality of workmanship and their willingness to answer ANY question.
They are not the least expensive (which is why I didn't give them 5 stars)but I have NEVER had to bring my Explorer back because the job wasn't done right the first time.

Because of our excellent experiences with the service department at Academy (something I wouldn't have thought I would ever say about a dealership), we decided to purchase our vehicle here as opposed to the other DC suburb dealership we bought from in 2016. Our salesman, Tressor, was wonderful. He was honest, straightforward, and funny. My husband has no patience for paperwork, so Tressor and the sales department got everything done before we came to pick up the car. We were out the door within 1 hour of arrival with our new Explorer. We are very happy with our experience at Academy and will continue to do business with them as long as we live in Maryland. If you're in the DC area, it's worth the trip for an easy, pleasant car-buying experience.

I'm a Hispanic guy with a small company and felt discriminated more than one time for them. I did an appointment for Friday morning, I dropped my truck off for a diagnostic and they didn't call me back until Monday afternoon.
Also I asked them for oil change appointment and they said (you dont have to do appointment for that) 2 weeks later I went for the oil change and they told me -we dont have time to change your oil today.

So My husband took me here to buy a 2014 ford fusion in October of 2014. Needless to say i was super excited i loved teh car i chose it was a certified 1 owner. The only issue it had was a hub baring which they replace at no cost. Then everything unrolled not even 30 days later i was driving and felt the transmission slipping i took it back to them that same day. They kept it for the day and called me for pick up they could not find a issue, but i continuously felt the transmission slipping. So about week later ut kept happening so i took it back with a addition complaint of the rear end being really bouncy around turns. They again kept it for a couple days and said nothing was wrong with the comment of "LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO DRIVE" i was shocked and pissed. I immediately went to Nicole Smith the amazing woman we bought from and she then went to address Kevin the service writer, who in turn cussed her out from the floor to the ceiling in front of me then turned and told me "If woman would learn how to drive this issue wouldn't be a problem any longer" i took my car and left. I went back again for the same two issues and request to have a diffrent service writer and technician and was denied and again the issues where claimed not to be their but they where going to reprogram the transmission to see if that will help. So i began to believe it was me. I got a recall card in the mail and called again but asked Nicole what she thought was best for me and she said a second opinion and to not bring it their for the recall. So i went to Norris Ford with the same two issues and the recall, i recived a call 45 minutes later that programs where missing from the transmission causing it to slip and that the shocks and sway bar links are shot (my bumper to bumper warranty had just expired). My opinion they wanted me to wait and wait till my warranty was gone so they could rob me or my rights to use my warranty. Norris Ford contacted Academy Ford service dept. And owner for me to let them know the issues and Academy called them liers told them their was nothing wrong and that they will not cover the cost to ship my car to them. Norris called me highly disappointed and said they refuse to allow me to transfer my car to Academy that they would eat the cost to reprogram my transmission due to my troubles with Academy. After reprograming they said the issue was still their and that they where going to look in to it further and come to find out my transmission was shot. Norris Ford's owner and service writer Moe called and gave me the christmas gift of my dreams, they felt so bad due for us to Academy Ford that they where going to do everything for us with no cost. Academy Ford are just money hungry liers and do not deserve to be in business, but as for Norris Ford they are truly amazing and i thank them for all they are doing to make my car safe for our 3 children and my self.

Absolute Horrible Dealership! I was coming from 3 hours away to purchase a vehicle, so i wanted to get as much done as i could before driving there. I was buying the vehicle whether i got a deal or not! The salesperson (Luly) whom i spent a week with trying to purchase the vehicle from said the "Finance Manager" was going to work up a "Better" price! This was after dealing with her for 3 days. OK GREAT! 1 day goes by nothing, 2 days go by, 3 days go by nothing!!! So I'm thinking maybe she is sick or hurt! (So i send an email inquirying about the situation) I finally get a response on the 4th waiting day. I get a email from someone else from the dealership stating Luly is off today. What about the other 3 days? lol... well this new person from the dealership says they looked into what's going on? TAKE A GUESS? What do you know the vehicle that Luly was getting a "BETTER" deal for me has been sold! LMFAO...I worked at car dealerships for 11 years and everytime a salesperson is working on a deal with a customer there is a "Sale Pending" put on the vehicle. I own a business that deals with customers so my time is actually important. I wasted a week with Luly only for her to sell the vehicle. And she didn't even have the decency to let me know. Just let me wait til i inquired about it. And a stranger from the dealership was kind enough to let me know i was beat! I have ownned 13 Ford vehicles and i was excited to get this Escape. They for sure lost a great customer. And i advise anyone to stay away from Academy Ford in Maryland.

I started to help my son research a car Monday, October 2, 2017. Our search began on the Internet as most searches begin today in every industry. After hours of research comparing dealerships and prices, we found Academy Ford in Laurel. They had the exact car my son was interested in, a new 2017 Ford Focus SEL Black exterior, Black interior with an advertised price that was within his budget, $13,361.00. Erron from Internet sales called within seconds of filling out the online form.

My son spoke to Erron and asked specifically what the price of the car is. Erron told him the price was $13,361 as stated on the Internet. I continued to do a little more research to find out that Ford has a couple of incentives that would lower the price of the car. My son called back to ask about the incentives. He asked to talk to Erron; however, he was gone for the day. My son was now talking to Jacklyn in Internet Sales and put her on speaker phone so I could hear what was being said. My son asked about the incentives and so told what they were. There is a $500 Military Bonus, a $500 First Responders Bonus and a $500 Student/College Grad Bonus.

The afternoon was slipping away and before we knew it, it was after 4:30pm. I called back and spoke to Jackie in Internet Sales. I questioned the incentives and bonus and asked again what the price of the car is to which Jackie quoted me once again $13,361.00 .I then asked if they would hold the car for us until tomorrow, Tuesday, October 3 as we were coming from Baltimore County and it is an hour drive. Jackie said I would have to put a refundable $500 deposit down for them to hold the car. No problem. I gave her my credit card number to hold the car.

We arrived at Academy Ford in Laurel at 2:00pm Tuesday, October 3 as planned. The car was waiting for us right out front. The next thing we know three, not one, not two but three salespeople greet us! If this isn t an intimation tackle maneuver I don t know what is. I take one look at the price of the car and I know there is no way we are buying this car for the quoted price. I say something and they lead me into the offices to sit down.

I ask what is the price of the car? To which Eric, the salesman asks, Are you active military, a first responder or a student or recent grad? No, I am not. Then you need to add $1,500 to the price of the car you were quoted. He then asked if I was a Ford loyalty customer, to which I answered no .then you have to add $4,000 to the price of the car. So, the $13,361.00 quoted price of the car is now $18,861.00 plus taxes, tags and destination fees. I said this is NOT what we were told on the phone. Eric went to get his manager, which just happened to be one of the trio who met us outside. Malcolm Eric, who said he was the manager, started the song and dance .and I told him I spoke directly with his employees in the Internet department .and I asked what the price of the car is .and they gave me the same number as advertised on the web. It is not like I didn t ask several times what the price of this car is. Malcolm Eric told me he instructs them to not tell the truth .so he can get people into the dealership. This is nothing more than Bait and Switch! It is deceitful and disgusting. For a dealership whose motto is Honesty and Integrity they fall WAY short in both. Why does car buying have to be so difficult and confusing? Because of deceitful, dishonest and deceptive dealerships like Academy Ford in Laurel, whose only goal is to use advertising designed to deceive or mislead customers deliberately. Do yourself a favor .STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM ACADEMY FORD IN LAUREL!!

Academy Ford was awesome! We found a vehicle we wanted online and the internet manager was quick, efficient, and courteous. We arranged to meet to finalize plans and in-person was even better! We met with Michael Webb and he was super friendly and willing to help us. He asked Bonita Knox to help show us the car and move things betweeen cars while he worked on the paperwork. She was a rockstar! She was incredibly kind, courteous, helpful, was awesome with our 3 kids, and did whatever she could to help us out. Truly one of, if not the best car buying experiences we have had. After no hassle and a relatively short amount of time, we are now the proud owners of a great vehicle. I would recommend Academy Ford to friends and if we need another car in the future we would go back there. If so, we d ask Bonita and Mike to help us out.

He's the man you should ask for, can't miss him by his height. This dealership is one of the best I've used. We left New York with our F250 towing a trailer. The service engine light came on so we went to a campground and left the trailer. We went to Academy Ford at 7:30 and were about fifth in line. They marked our paperwork that we were travelling through and highlighted it. They came our and said the light was for the PDF exhaust. We had had it replaced last year. They reset the system and we were on our way around 10:00. We were treated very well and it was a good experience.

I shopped around for a couple of months for a used van. Academy had a good selection of vans in-stock. When I called to ask about one in particular, the sales person told me there was someone in the dealership purchasing it as we spoke. She sent me a number of other vans and their specs in my email. The overall level of service I experienced on the phone exceeded that of any other dealership in the Capital Region. I decided that I would make the hour and a half drive to see what they had available in person. When I arrived I spoke with the first person I ran into. She was the sales person I had spoken with on the phone a couple weeks earlier. She remembered our conversation and exactly what I was interested in. She immediately introduced me to a floor salesman and explained my needs to him. John took excellent care of me. The dealership offered me the best trade-in I had been offered among several dealerships. Their offer met or exceeded fair market value given at the top 3 online sites I had checked. Bottom line...they treated me with respect, offered me a fair trade for my car and a fair price for theirs. I have bought many cars in the past, and they got everything right. If you're looking for a new or used car, this not just a great place to start looking, it's also a great place to finish.

I had a great experience at Academy Ford when leasing a new Ford Escape. The staff is kind and helpful and their facilities are almost as beautiful as the cars they sell!

Crandon was my sales associate, and he was very helpful in finding the kind of car that I wanted with all of the features that I needed. Brent, the Finance Manager, was a great help in handling my purchase and explaining the leasing process to me.

I will definitely be a recurring customer!!

Very bad experience. We dialed about a car we saw online and asked whicht extra charges would be added to the online price. They said only Tax and service costs. So we decided to drive almost an hour to the dealer because we really liked the car. Once at the dealer, the car turned out to be almost 3000 dollar more expensive and there was no way they would do anything about the price. We explained that we've already had contact by phone and spoke about the price of the car, but it didn't bother them. They claim to be 'honest and integer' but they are not honest and integer at all!!!

The wife and I have been thinking of upgrading our 2010 Escape so we stopped in to look. This was on Tuesday.

We found a 2016 Explorer that was lightly used 13000 miles. After looking we sat down to see what the deal was. The window price was $39,999; we thought that was a little high and said so. We were also ready to leave as I was exhausted, I had to been a work at 5:30 that morning and it was getting close to 9pm by this time, I was ready to go.

The sales manger came over and I will make this worth your time and then he offered us a great deal. He wrote us an offer sheet and had taken $8,000 off. I loved the deal and really wanted to complete it but I was exhausted so he said that if we came back by Thursday the vehicle was ours for the offered price of $31,999. We didn't want to do Ford Financing, we wanted to go through our credit union. He printed us out a quote sheet and said bring this back with you.

We called the credit union the next day and they approved us and gave us the paperwork guaranteeing the loan. We were excited and when we left work we headed straight to the dealership. They greeted us and then politely explained how they could not honor the deal.

They made all kinds of excuses and agreed that it was a nice vehicle. But they would not honor the deal. They first tried to say it was sold earlier in the day, but I showed them that the vin numbers matched the one still sitting there. They really can't sell us the explorer limited but wanted us to look at other explorers. We could get an XLT with 28000 miles for about the same price. By the time I was finished I was so pissed off that I could not see straight.

My family has bought 15 or so cars here going back to the 70's I am done.

I have heard of the bait and switch but this was the first time I experienced it first hand.

Brent took care of me in my delicate situation. I had major problems with my credit and no one could help me but I was referred to him and he worked with me and got me financed. He helped me and my girlfriend and we are very appreciative for his patience. Will never been buy another car without speaking to him first. Thanks!

Had a very good purchase experiences, but now that it comes time for service to my vehicle, they have completely ghosted me. No online rep. I keep being told over and over I have to sit on hold in an attempt to make an appointment that is never available. Everyone was my best friend when I was buying....but now that I am a customer, apparently, I mean nothing! I have a sticker that offers me my first oil change for free....yet, I can not seem to get anyone to schedule such a thing! The sales lady literally took me out for drinks at the local Olive Garden when they wanted me to buy, but I guess Jiffy Lube is my only option now that I am a actual customer!
