I have heard about this place since moving here. Glad I was finally able to make it. The food is excellent. Loved the crab cakes and the oxtails were definitely worth going back for. Our waitress Lexi was on the point, she was engaging, helpful and made our dining experience a great one. Will highly recommend Chef Rob's to any of my friends looking for great Caribbean food in Georgia.

I ve been coming here since at least 2008! Chef Rob is always very hospitable & warm. The service & food is always good here! And they always have great suggestions! My fav is always the jerk wings or jerk chicken dinner.

Food was great. Portions were as expected. A little pricey for the lunch portion. I would have liked the gravy on my rice, and I'm sure they would have added it, but being it was my first time I didn't know. Girl at the window, taking orders/greeting people, could have been more organized.

Chef Rob and his crew was great! I came there to be there with the NY Giants crew and was show love from everyone there! I will be going back !!

Coming here for about 15 yrs. The prices are high but all the meals are delicious and love the reggae music

I have never been here at night when it turns into a club but this my go to spot for Carribean takeout food in sandy springs. Only place that has Caribbean food close to as good as here was back in NY. Make sure to try the jerk chicken egg rolls and the Cajun seafood pasta! Avoid the roti bread It's nothing special.

I ordered the jerk and curry chicken combo recently from UberEats. The proportions was great and the meal overall was awesome. I would suggest Chef Rob's to anyone!

I visited the Atlanta area for a family event and was excited to have the opportunity to eat at Chef Roble's restaurant because of his famous talked about Caribbean food advertised on the reality shows and from private catering service recommendations. I contemplated not giving this review because of not wanting to make a judgement after one visit, since restaurants typically have bad days and good days. However, I visited on a very bad day at Chef Roble's Caribbean restaurant in Samdy Springs Atlanta.
1. First off, The front entrance of the restaurant at 7pm should have been swept and prepared to welcome guest, there was trash on the outside of the door.
2. The server was nice, and pleasant, however her apron was filthy and had hair on her shoulders, which I brought to her attention prior to ordering.
3. There is live DJ music next door in the lounge which was so loud we could not hear our selves speak.
4. We waited over 1 HR for the food to arrive and when it did, neither of us had the appetite because of a group that was siting behind us discovering the LARGE cockroach crawling across their table as they sat down to eat.

This was alarming to witness and experience. Our waitress sprang into action by squashing the rodent but we cringed at the sound and the crunch of the dead COCKROACH. With all that being said, I don't see me visiting the restaurant ever again but would give Chef Roble an opportunity to cater an event in my home because I don't think the restaurants reflects his authenticity of Caribbean food. I would recommend that since the restaurant represents your style and name it should also represent cleansiness and may need a visit from Gordan Ramsey.

Chef Rob's is one of my favorite Jamaican restaurants in the metro Atlanta area. I have visited this restaurant over ten times and I had an event catered by the restuarant. I have had the oxtail which is sometimes seasoned really well and other times has to much fat on them. The consistency varies but they are always willing to fix the problem. The curry chicken is really good. It has a nice sauce that isn't spicy and really flavorful. One night my boyfriend and I tried the run down shrimp and it was amazing. The run down shrimp tasted delicious and was really flavorful. The shrimp was a nice portion and size and filling. I also had the seafood pasta and it had a nice creamy, favorable sauce. The shrimp and crawfish really stood out the most and the parmesan coco bread paired with the pasta is delicious. I really enjoy visiting the restaurant. In the past few years it has become expensive for the dinner portion oxtail and other food. So if I visit its during lunch. I highly recommend anyone looking for good flavorful Jamaican food to try chef rob. Yes I am from the islands myself and this food passes the test!

Had the pasta and can't wait to have it again. A bit pricey but you do get a lot of good food on the plate.

Not worth the money.I ordered oxtails and rice and peas. The portion was small and the taste was just okay.

Came as a group of five last night for late night entertainment and hookah. We ended up ordering drinks and wings. The wings were big, crispy, and juicy. Absolutely delicious. Drinks were priced as expected. Hookah was on the expensive side at 35$ a stand, but we enjoyed the night nonetheless. DJ RS was cool and wasn't offended by our song requests. We were living it up, and I would come again.

Pretty pricey EVEN for jamaican food! My JERK WINGS were overcooked HALF hardly chewable ( I prefer Jamrock on Metropolitan.)
MAC N CHEESE could use more flavor.
The MINI OXTAIL patties were ok small portion ($2 each.)
The ($22) OXTAIL ENTREE was no better than the ($13) OXTAIL ENTREE at MANGOS (Edgewood) where I would also prefer to purchase full size patties (for $2) in an array of flavors.
OVERALL: pretty ok. Servers were cute and pleasent. Atmosphere was cleanly.
$30 PER PERSON for average carribean food in a 'not so special' atmosphere.

Nice spot to get your dance on and great wings! Loved the DJ playing a good mix of reggae and r&b. Will def be back.

Our first time there. Service was great. Waitress knew her specials and took the time to describe them. Overall a good experience. We will visit again.

Came here for lunch. It was a bit of a mess. Maybe it was our waitresses fault, but two of four orders were completely wrong. One of them took 45 minutes to get his food, and still wasn't right. Even after messing up his order and taking so long, they didn't take anything off the price. It was crazy to have waited so long and still pay full price.

But here is the part that I really didn't like... they charge the tip on parties of 4 or more. It's written in the small print on the menus. Most places do 8. There were 4 of us and our service was horrible, so we didn't want to leave a tip but had to.

I had the brown stew chicken for lunch. It was delicious.

My guest and I did not like the way the female manager spoke to the young female waitress. The food was ok but not enough spices in the authentic dishes.

We ate there during my sister's birthday. The food was okay however, a rat ran across the room. I've never seen one in person and it was the scariest thing ever. We jumped on the chairs and screamed. The waitress ran to get the owner from the kitchen. When he walked to our table he asked us if everything was okay (while we're still standing on the cushioned chairs. We pointed to the direction of where the rat ran. He chuckled and said it was just a rat and the rat ran into the other section of the restaurant. I'm not ever going back!

The food was Awesome
Ox-Tails, Jerk Chicken, Shrimp Egg Rolls and Crab Fingers.
Service could have been much better.

Update: still love the food and updates to the menu but for the past year the customer service has been consistently not friendly. Unfortunately I've sent people here and they've had the same experience. Hope this changes soon.

Always enjoy their reggae music. There's never a wait. I'm not a fan of sweet potato fries but theirs is amazing and with Groupon, I always get a good deal.

Great balanced place, you get a good meal good drink, then go to the lounge nd enjoy nice music(free entry).

The place has a nice ambiance. Various age groups. Drinks were good. Oxtails were good. My only problem is the no hot water in the bathroom. You have to wash your hands in cold water. Then they do not give you water. You have to purchase bottled water if you want water. That's hella tacky and cheap.

Way way way way to expensive. The food doesn t taste as good as all the money you pay for it. You buy their expensive meals and they don t even give free refills

I attended a graduation party for my niece on 5/28/17. The food was absolutely out of this world. Well seasoned ... not too much of anything. I'd heard about Chef Rob's and was hoping to get there this trip. My wish came true. Thank you Chef Rob and Staff. I will be returning. Muaah!

The young lady that s pregnant has the wrong tone and a bad attitude.

Did not get what I wanted. Half way through my wait time for my order I was told it's not available. So I had to settle for something else. The chef just did not want to make it. It's not hard to make fried fish into brown stew fish. Then they poured the vinegar dressing from the cabbage dressing all over the rice and peas. Who ever in the kitchen definitely not from yard.

Love everything about this place. The staff. The cooks. The owner. The food. The culture.

WE GET UP TO LEAVE AND I TELL A WAITRESS PASSING I WANT TO CANCEL MY. ORDER I JUST PUT IN DUE TO HAVING A DINNER COUPON NOT A LUNCH, NOW THE MANAGER STANDING AFEW STEPS A WAY AND SAW ALLL THIS. THE WAITRESS WHO OFFERED THIS TO US, BECAUSE WE WAS LEAVING SAID SHE CHECKED AND THEY COULD CHANGE IT TO A DINNER PORTION.OK WE SIT BACK DOWN AND AFTER THE MEAL WE GET THE CHECK, IT'S AN EXTRA 30 DOLLARS ADDED ON THE BILL. THE ORIGINAL WAITRESS GETS THE SAME MANAGER THAT WAS STANDING A FEW STEPS AWAY WHEN WE WHERE CONVINCED TO STAY. TO TALK WITH US,

Best Caribbean food around. Staff here always friendly and every time they did make sure to get correct spice level for the items ordered.

I have to say the food was excellent.. The primary problem was I paid $18 for approximately two oxtail bones and 3 curry goat bones.. a spoon full of rice and half a plate of cabbage..
In no reality would I have ever paid that much money for literally the smallest plate of food I have ever received at any carribean restaurant ever..
To whoever makes the portion sizes please reconsider that or your prices.

Food is average...Over priced for what is serve $32 for plate. The girl in front desk had no customer service skills..i will definitely not coming back..

My total was $23 and some change. I ordered a side of macaroni & cheese ($4.25, was extremely bland and tasteless), a slice of rum cake ($5.50, a very thin slice of cake, way too thin for that price, it was really a small skinny flat slither of cake), and the oxtails. The menu said the oxtails are supposed to be served with rice & peas AND steamed vegetables. I guess the kitchen didn't feel as though I deserved any vegetables seeing as to how they left them out of my order. I guess serving plantains with a Caribbean dish isn't standard here either. This is my 2nd time ordering to-go from this establishment, and probably the last. I give up on trying to find good authentic Caribbean food at good prices in Atlanta. Quick service but bad/rude attitudes. Small food portions.

The food was AMAZING! Really enjoyed my veggie delight dish as well as my cucumber martini. Unfortunately, the service wasn't the best. There was only one server and she made sure we knew that. It was only 8:00 pm and we were being rushed like it was closing time which was 10:00 pm. Not to mention it was nearly empty inside.

The gratuity is too steep for the mediocre service. Other than that I'd certainly come back for take out.

Great place to watch the NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS as this is the official watch party for the ATLANTA NYG4LIFE club. They have $7 special entrees during the game watch parties and a DJ playing dance music before and after the game at halftime and after GIANTS scores. Plus they offer $2 touchdown shots. GO GIANTS!!!!

For $5.50 you get one small serving of steamed brocoli or the side of your choice. This price suggests larger portions or at least something superior... it was cold and soggy

We ordered a $30 fried snapper... this is something we've ordered at lots of Jamaican places. This location managed to have the highest price AND the absolute smallest fish you could find lol. 30 bucks and cannot feed even 1 adult. Seasoned simply but tasty,
cooked well so plus 1 star

This place is very "corner spot" in flavors. $5.50 is ridiculous for less 1 cup of regular red beans and rice lol...

Whenever I am in Atlanta, I always stop by Chef Rob's for my city boat, rice and peas and plantain. It tastes good each and every time and I recommend it to everyone. They now do a combo, so the last time, I went for ox-tail + #yummy

Nice music and atmosphere. Food was not good. I was in a party of 6 and 3 of us sent our food back. Seafood dip and fish dish was very salty, oxtails were cold. Drinks were just ok. Staff was friendly, owner acted like he didn t want to associate with us when we complained about the food. He simply told us to take it up with our server and walked away. I won t be back.

Nice place for drinks and a casual meal. I have always had my food ordered and delivered so I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. The DJ on Saturday night was the best! Can't wait to return. Everyone was really friendly and made sure my group had a great time.
