Went to the Sue Nicholson show on Friday. Decided to go early for a drink and meal. Got our first drink then ordered our meal. Before our meal arrived I ordered 2 cocktails at 6pm. Was told they would bring them when ready. 40 minutes later, our meal nearly finished, we got our first cocktail. We were told we would get a refund for the delay and an apology. Also she had 2 customers to serve and then she will bring the second cocktail. We got sick of waiting after 15 minutes. Went up for the refund and the second cocktail. People were being served before us. We asked how long because the show starts at 7. We were told that they would bring the drink to us in the break st 8.30pm. Not good enough and not fair. Way too long to wait. Highly disappointed.

A very special 65th wedding anniversary celebration. The Chateau was the perfect place for people from 7 years old to 88. Lovely lunch from set menu and very good service. Given the number of diners in the cafe our wait time was very brief.

Plenty of parking and friendly service, it's what makes New Zealand special

Had a really good night last night with ANZs Stephen Caunter teaching on How to promote your business using the Internet. Stephen is very easy to listen too as he is funny but also really knows his topic. Chateau on the Park put on a really good super catering well for vegetarians and gluten free. Thank you to all for a very pleasant evening.

Wow absolutely beautiful - fabulous rooms and great staff

Great location next to the park, very high standard of accommodation. Bathroom looked brand new. Excellent service and food in restaurant.

Really nice hotel, with amazing gardens and just opposite Hagley Park. The rooms are big and clean, and the hotel and the area,where is located are very quite, and the service was of good quality.

Stay overnight in this charming hotel in central Christchurch. Very very welcome, attentive staff smiling and professional. The disposition of the hotel is very functional whatever the situation of your room. The bar serves good cocktails always with a smiling staff. The restaurant where we had our dinner and breakfast were excellent, the warm atmosphere and the staff always so helpful. The interior gardens were very ornate shrub trees and flower beds providing a relaxing atmosphere. We recommend this hotel and thank all the staff of the Chateau for their hospitality and especially the work it provides to offer us all these beautiful services that we greatly appreciate. Great place to stay the night and food/drinks reasonable. Been there many times before over the years and not much changed.

I am still here enjoying myself immensely with the outstanding never ending quality room service ...I arrived late into Christchurch and the bar was closed ..of course it was 11pm...

They state they have room service 24/7 and so I decided to enjoy my first holiday evening in style. I

I am well traveled.... internationally and have been to some super luxury resorts...I quite frankly have to say the service and quality of the food late into the evening even 2.30am is spectacular and gives some of the resorts I've stayed in serious competition.

The staff from the moment of booking in have been so friendly so giving without expectations that when I did tip ..how could I not with this outstanding service and food..that it made me smile at the endearing humble and non expectancy of the people working here.

It's a fantastic pleasure to be here and Ive not been the easiest customer ordering room service 5 times from 11pm to 3am yet not once have I experienced anything more than a sublime professional friendly service that to me puts this place as one of my favorites in the world..yes I did say that...yes deservingly soo.....
I've enjoyed a caesar salad and kumera and bacon soup...the soup I thought...nooooo ...really ??? Kumera and bacon ??? Yet I had another little voice saying try it... everything has been incredible...and it was ...oh wow ...oh yummmmm......yum yum..

Come here to have a break.. a holiday ... a treat.... just know your stepping into a quality faultless experience of delight in every way.

Comfy, well appointed hotel just a little out of the city

Lovely place, busy part of town but had a great relaxing time

Clean and modern rooms with very good WiFi. Great food menu with everything reasonably priced.

Prime location makes a quick walk to the botanical garden an easy and fun activity. No issues with parking and the room was both modern and comfortable. I stayed there for one day in early September and then immediately booked another stay upon checkout.

Close to Hagley Park, I was able to take a leisurely walk in the morning.

Very nice relaxing ambiance in the garden and the food choice is nice but not very varied

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! Got in late and the staff was very accommodating of this and had warm cookies for me and my family. The hotel restaurant stays open pretty late, and we had a decent meal. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast spread was incredible. It's probably worth staying just for the breakfast! The setting is also gorgeous, with beautifully tended gardens and courtyards. I highly recommend.

A beautiful Hilton hotel in an area of Christchurch preserved from the earthquake.

Rooms were lovely, as was the garden. The staff were also friendly and attentive, even helping us with us misplaced items. Really appreciate their help!

Tasty food and great variety, efficient and friendly staff

just tried to make a reservation 8 months in advance, here is the situation i explained : we require a family room on the ground floor , we have a elderly person who cannot manage any stairs . This sounds simple enough right, no, i can book the room but they cannot guarantee that I will get the ground floor room, as this might not be available leading up to the reservation date. what does that even mean? we are booking 8 months in advance to avoid any such issues. Also i wont be able to get a refund if the room is not available , and it is over Easter weekend so good luck to me finding something suitable on short notice. I have not booked here as you are not able to secure a suitable room.a processs that should have been easy and straight forward has turned out to be super painful. ive had to give you one star as i could'nt post it without at least doing so.

Lovely staff. Received cookies at check in, late arrival in the night. Great location minutes from the huge Botanical Gardens and museum. Gorgeous interiors with ponds, and stunning gardens you can have buffet breakfast in as well.on site parking available and rooms are spacious, modern and clean. Would certainly recommend!

Great hotel, felt very comfortable ..

We attended a conference here. The room was very good and the aircon worked. Comfortable seating. Food was good and staff in this area exceptionally helpful.

Great rooms good to have 24 hour check in and 12 check out

BAD. My husband booked a $312 room. Our bathroom is bigger. When he rang to complain they said "You have a garden view"!!!! It was a Chestnut tree and view of the tower apartments opposite. That's not a view. 312 dollars for what. I left. Thanks Chateau for the worst birthday experience I had - and it just so happens to be my 50th birthday. Thanks for nothing and the bus trip home. Hope some other sucker falls for your wonderful pictures on your website. Petty them.

It s a good hotel with a park nearby.

Cosy and friendly staff especially Kelvin from the restaurant who was very attentive and helpful with tips of places to see in Christchurch and also Sukhman of front desk for the warm welcome. The food was of good quality and tasty. We would surely come again for the hospitality.

We stayed here for a night for early morning flight home from Christchurch Airport. Staff is very friendly, we told them we need to leave by 5am for our flight. They offer us packed breakfast and deliver it to our room before we leave.

Room with simple amenities but the friendly and helpful staff make a great difference. Thank you DoubleTree (Hilton)!
