Very stylish, beautiful hotel, friendly staff, great location.

really pretty hotel, super cool interior!! the lobby and everything is really well designed and the service is super good, definitely worth checking out if you re looking for somewhere to stay the night in christchurch!! pretty convenient too near the park / town!

Easy parking, easy access and location. Central to lots of food options and great staff. Loved the biscuit on check-in. We dined out but had a buffet breakfast which was excellent. Very friendly staff. Checking out was quick and easy took.

A great hotel as usual for DoubleTree, but unfortunately the usual friendliness of the staff is sometimes missing. In addition, there are too few washing machines and dryers in the laundry room. There is one in each case, but it is not enough. Yesterday I had to wait 4 hours before I could wash and another 2 hours at the dryer because there was a separate line. Today I stopped by the laundry room and saw that there was a long line at both devices again.
I strongly advise additional devices!

Really great environment - loved the gardens. I attended professional development there and the food provided during the workshop was amazing. The view from the room where I stayed the night was lovely too and looked out over the pool ( I stayed in the third floor'. The staff were also very responsive and accommodating.

Enjoyable place to stay. This was my second visit to Christchurch and I have never had any problems.

Old older style hotel. Wasn t what I was expecting. Very uneven walking paths. Be careful not to trip if you aren t paying attention. Hotel rooms are dated. Bathrooms need renovations

Big function rooms available for conferences or seminars. Great catering options to suit your budget. Handy for out of towners as they can stay in. The location is right by Hagley Park. Small distance to the CBD.

Conference room was easy to find and a good size for the event. Was catered well and having a bar in the conference room at the end was a nice touch.

As we are regular diners in a large group pork belly crackle not up to usual crispness.Beef and fish meals good. Ice cream dessert too soft poor appearance. Service great.

This location was booked for my brothers wedding. Such a wonderful location, a great place to hold a service. The lawns are immaculate and a very large indoor area that housed us all. The food was top quality and the staff really put the effort in for a perfect day.

This Hotel just confirms why Hilton is on top of the game and leading in the hospitality industry. From start to finish professional, polite, friendly and welcoming. Just the welcome was amazing - getting a warm chocolate chip cookie is a fantastic way to say hello. Whatever happens after that (if anything would happen - which it never does) would be already forgiven. The staff was excellent and that includes housekeeping. We always forget about them as we hardly have any contact with these busy bees. Thank you for a fantastic Job in getting our suite up to scratch every day. The hotel throughout was in great shape - but nothing else expected, as said it s Hilton after all. Can t praise you enough. Thanks again for making our stay so enjoyable.

They named it Chateau for a reason. The name delivers justice to the place and design.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Lovely hotel comfortable beds and just a 20 min walk from the city centre. Very helpful staff and you even get a warm cookie upon check in!

We had a spacious room overlooking the pool area. Nice and clean with all the provided essentials as expected. Lovely hotel style for the main building, lots of wood, glass and light.

The food was superb. I would have given 5 stars but the waiting staff were overworked and had to run around the dining room

Great hotel across from Hagley Park, so easy access for a walk or run or trip to the Botanical gardens. The gardens in the center of the hotel complex are quite impressive with relaxing water features too. Spacious, quiet rooms with balconies and plenty of parking.

And the bar and restaurant in the hotel serve tasty risotto balls. That with some fries and Chipotle mayo make for an excellent dinner.

Good hotel. Super slow check in/out. Restaurant was little expensive given the meal. Breakfast was pretty average. Room was good.

Had the chef's omelet - omelet was okay bit it came out with a cheap toast you get from countdown. Overall the service was overpriced and the manager was incompetent - he didn't have any idea what the restaurant was offering.

THE WORST OF THE WORST! Reception staff aren t helpful whatsoever and are very condescending. They lost my laundry and after numerous calls to find where it is they told me to go solve it myself. Worst motel ever!!!!! I wouldn t even send my dog to stay here.

The room was very small but clean. The breakfast was a large selection and it was also fantastic tasted. The city center is a bit longer. Staff was very friendly.

A beautiful garden style hotel. It is at the other side of the Botanic garden which is quieter. We actually love the quietness. Service is nice. The lady at the front desk was very informative and patient with a beautiful smile on her face. It made us feel very welcomed. The driver who drove us to the city centre was also very friendly and answered all our questions. A great place to stay in Christchurch.

It is a calm atmosphere. The room is also beautiful.

The food and Service were a great deal better than our last visit when it had just changed hands. The venison was cooked perfectly. The wine selection reasonably priced.

Fantastic property, friendly staff and amazing gardens!

A large group of us attended a Meetup Group there last night, although they new we were coming, only one Bar Staff was on, a lovely girl but honestly who was checking in to see if she needed help?

No one offered to bring more chairs into the back room, us ladies had to drag them into the side room, A gesture of some finger food maybe appreciated as well, as we have attended this venue quite a few times before.
Very pleasant looking out at the water, but the service could be looked at.

Started for two nights, third time staying at this hotel. The rooms are renovated, the service level has lifted. The fact that it is now a Doubletree had made a difference to the overall customer experience. Great job guys.

Clean comfortable friendly hotel with nice gardens and pool area

Great place to stay service wise but room was very hot with aircon that didn t seem to make any difference and no fans available.

This Doubletree by Hilton at Christchurch is such an amazing hotel! Regardless how beautiful is the guestroom layout here, the hotel gave each in-house guest an opportunity of winning the Xmas gift by the "lucky spin" and guess what, we've won the lucky #8, for 2 Golden tickets! How thoughtful are they! Unlike the owner of "You Hanoi Me", Mr. Jason Whitelaw being ridiculously arrogant, he was not only unprofessional of not wanting to treat us like a "customer", but also blamed us to say we were "uneducated" just because he didn't like to see we posted a bad review on his restaurant. Very unthoughtful!

We love this Doubletree hotel and will return for our next trip soon!

Really good and lovely but the toilet didn't work properly and there was no hot water but we only stayed there for one night and they offered us a free breakfast to compensate.

All up I would recommend this place as long as the facilities work.
