Super friendly staff and very helpful. It's not as fancy as other hiltons but with more family kind of feeling. The hotel is next to the park you can just walk to the museums in 20 mins

I attended a meeting her in one of the conference rooms. Great facilities and helpful staff.

Already one year ago! Great stay, hope to come back one day. Would recommend this to all.

Good hotel although in need of a bit of an upgrade. Enjoyed setting, gardens really make the place.

Chris, the dining room manager, is fantastic and should be managing guest experience overall!

She was very friendly and professional, offered great service, and advice about local atttractions. Really very much appreciated.

Although we arrived late, we had the restaurant correspond.

We had our work Christmas function at this restaurant and we were given a private room that's enormous for 30 people. The chamlot room is very well decorated with Santa and Christmas tree. Christmas crackers and some ornaments on each table. The food was great too we can choose between 2 courses or 3 courses Christmas lunch menu and start a tab for drinks for each individual. The waiting staff were super helpful in working with us for the best meal table serving and our entertainments throughout the meal. The missing star is for not giving us steak knife for those who had eye fillet and very slow in replying email and responding calls. Otherwise everything was great. #workfunction #christmasfunction

3 stars, just because of the room I got. Hotel and staff itself is very nice and friendly! Yet I got room 201 which is facing the road, main street and it's so not isolated, you can hear every single car just passing by and fading away and if car has a loud engine you'll be awake for sure. So before you pay your money and get comfy make sure your room is not facing the road, at night is fine, but nap during the day is impossible. Amenities and room itself was really nice and clean.

The reception is good, the atmosphere is good, but the rooms are normal and the breakfast is small. The location is also far from the center and the flight is not very good.

Hotel decor and interiors well made. Rooms seemed slightly small to me. Location also out of city and they do not provide shuttle service unlike other 4/5 star category hotels to main city . Also we had to face lot of hassle with one of our luggage missing and had to really follow up several times at reception for the same

Rooms were clean and spacious. Very beautiful grounds and located near a large beautiful park. Hot breakfast was delicious and the restaurant had a wonderful dinner on site.

I love this hotel. They give you this yummy cookie upon checking in. And the staff are very friendly and nice. Very homey feel. And very good ambiance decorations.

Lovely hotel close to the park and a gentle walk to the city centre. Welcoming staff. Had a problem with connecting to the internet but tgey were only to happy birthday to sort it out for me. Comfortable room, decent size for 2 travellers.

Good location for the Oval at Hagley park and Botanical Gardens but a good walk to city centre.

In August 2017 I took a group of 70 people to the hotel for a two-day conference and enjoyed the facility very much excellent conference management and a well run Hotel

Stayed here as it's one of Covid-19 Quarantine Managed hotel.

The hotel management has impose strict quarantine rules and guidelines but at the same time, endeavours to extend their hospitality as best as possible.

Food delivery service is allowed but the ordered food must be handed over to the security personnel, which will be passed on to the guests.

There're rooms with small patios for those who want some fresh air or smoking. However, it's limited to just the patio area and any where beyond that is not allowed.

Within walking distance to the centre if you like walking.

Loved the place and its accessibility to a Catholic Church, a park and the mall. Would've been perfect had water been strong enough in the toilet and bath.

Food excellent but service shocking. Had to ask for a menu after 20 minutes and again ask vto order 30 minutes later. Food took 20 minutes to come. Used uncleared tables all around us when we arrived and still there when we left 90 minutes later. We asked for water and it was served in a mug even though glasses on the table and bottles on the bar. Not their usual standard. I go there often because of the consistent standard but this occasion was abysmal.

The service at this hotel is great but it is unfortunately very noisy from external sounds like tv's, music and entertainment. Having a quiet and peaceful stay is important to me so that's why I've given it a low rating.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing view, the architecture of this hotel is unique, surrounded by gardens and fountains. Food is great as well! Location is near the city center and the botanical gardens!

Brilliant friendly staff close to city center long to go there again

The food was delicious.The service left a lot to be desired.Its not nice when 3 out of four are served & we are left waiting for the forth meal.Why can't the meals be served per table.I had a desert no spoon to eat with & no waiter in sight.Ended up getting my own spoon & got dirty looks from other staff.I'm not inclined to recommend this restaurant.

Beautiful place, very peaceful and stylish at the same time. Very good food in a restaurant and nice staff working in a reception and restaurant as well.

It's a beautiful and cosy place, friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere, and delicious food.

Service was very slow. Took 30 minutes to get food ordered and over 1 hour before food arrived. Serving sizes very uneven. My wife returned hers which was then reserved on a different plate and was then cold. Price was reduced by 50%.

Great venue for functions, friendly staff and good food + loads of space.

The front desk efficiency is too low. It takes 20 minutes to make a check in. The team has to fill in the form and waste resources.

Pretty disappointing. Check is 3pm our room was not ready until 440pm. Hotel is clean but dated. Could do with a refurb. Only one washing machine so be prepared for a long wait to do any washing

Needs to have central heating in the hallways due to the hallways being so cold one can't feel comfortable walking around due to the coldness

This is a good hotel on the edge of Christchurch central park, very helpful staff and spacious rooms.

It have wonderful wooden architecture and just in front of Hagley Park.
